The ethereum network has mined past the 7,280,000 block and currently at 7,290,000 as of a few minutes ago.
Ethereum Constantinople hark fork has completed successfully this time and it seems Vitalik is celebrating with the others who contributed with a raising of their forks. :)

Yes, Ethereum's hardfork (Constantinople) had completed as seen on etherscan.  Let's see what the upgrade brings, hopefully it will be positive. Talking about improvement in consensus algorithm, I think it will go a long way in the development of Ethereum project.

this is a very good thing for the completion of ethereum, and I am very sure that ethereum will be even stronger and stronger for the future to come.

It was an upgrade but people were waiting for another coin to come of it but were disappointed. I do not hold any of ethereum only ethereum classic so did not expect anything to manifest from this hard fork.
But many on social media were asking why the price has not changed since it was a hard fork. :-\
I believe it was just an upgrade to the network so to make it more secure as was mentioned many times before it happened.

That's cool. It finally happened. I believe that Ethereum will be even stronger in the future and I hope that this fork will have a positive impact.

And we are waiting for the next fork that called serenity to make the block reward will be around 0.5 eth and POS system becomes a real thing in the future. Becareful when bitcoin maximalist seeing this and there will be a lot of rejection by them. Who do you mean by others?  ;D

maybe some people think that a few hardforks from many coins give birth to new coins that are no better, even a few times there is news that there will be a hard fork, but it's only hoax news. so for this ethereum hard fork, many people respond to it normally.

The other two in the photo. They must be developers who were testing the fork and to be sure it was done correctly this time.
They both have laptops infront of them well atleast one of them does including Vitalik. :)

I didn't see any positive effects this ethereum constantinople has done to the market. They didn't even make the market of ethereum great again? How come they need to upgrade for that?

It's great to see Ethereum moving forward with this important upgrade that will pave the way for becoming proof of stake and thus more energy-efficient. Those complaining that they did not get new coins don't understand that new coins have a tendency to dilute the value of the main chain due to increased supply.

I am glad to hear that this time the hardfork Constantinople was completed successfully. It remains to wait and see what effect it will have on the ethereum network and how much this will affect the increase in the popularity and price of ethereum. That the positive effect will be, I am absolutely sure.

I would like to agree on his statement. Bitcoin is so old-school for me especially the transfers, ETH is much faster and is a lot more useful than BTC. But value-wise, BTC might be an antique but is so valuable while ETH is a modern invention that can't be auctioned yet.

any fork (whether you call it soft, hard, upgrade, blah blah,...) has a risk of splitting the network into two different chains. when it is a hard fork that risk is higher, that is partly the reason why people were expecting a split. another reason is because many of them were newbies who have no idea what is going on and always associate the word "fork" with "split" and "upgrade" with "no-split" whereas they are not really different.

the only reason why no split happened was because this was NOT the PoS fork but only a small part of it. and they are doing this to prevent miners from preventing the fork. in other words they are forcing the PoS switch while reducing the risk of defiance.... classic centralized move ;)

It hasn't been reflected in the price yet but good to see that the hard fork was successful. This means that the future of ethereum is going to continue moving upwards with scalability issues being resolved along with reduced inflation

Dont think it will reflect in the price until the coin goes completely proof of stake then it will make it more valuable to hold for most who do not have alot of them in the first place.

Yeah it has passed, but I think almost no one has mentioned some changes on the market. I can understand that crypto needs some time to recover positions but I hoped that this hardwork will push the market forward.

I am happy for the completion of ethereum Constantinople. I just discover that the transactions is faster than before the fork. There was tension in the air. Some newbies were scared.

I admire Vitaliks industrious attitude and shear commitment to the ethereum project development in bid to see it become a better and scalable coin. I hope it achieves all his dream with the project because he's put in alot of work into it.

The Efirium project continues to rejoice, all that is in accordance with the “roadmap”, a fork of this confirmation, believe that after a while the etherium will again show new records in the value of the coin.

It wasn't supposed to have an effect on the price so don't expect any major movements. This was only an update to get closer to the final product which is Proof of Stake. Perhaps once ETH goes full PoS then we might see some price action, but until then, I would expect the ETH price to follow BTC price movements just like the rest of the market.

Certainly Ethereum Constantinople hark fork is an important event for both the Etherium team and the entire crypto community. I haven't seen the big impact of Hardfork this time. there is no increase, nothing happens in the market. even though the block reward has been lowered. but the ethereum price is still around $130.

Ethereum continues to delight. The project is constantly evolving, and I think that we will soon see a rise in value.

I hope everything will be better for ethereum after this upgrade, many erc20 tokens are strictly connected with ethereum performance. We will see what will happen near future i can not wait to see how crypto community will reflect this upgrade.

It has been almost a week since the date of Hard Fork and you can see on the website https://ethgasstation.info/ that the price of gas is indeed at a very low level. This can not but rejoice, because almost all my payments I spend in tokens based on Ethereum.

All my hands are crossed for this one waiting to see what happens to the update My hope is eventually this helps increase ETH price in the long run that might actually turn out to be very helpful

As for the price Vitalik has said previously it will take atleast 32 eth minimum to have staking active for your holding of ethereum.

Having this much per individual wallet will certainly bring the price up once the proof of stake upgrade is initiated. People will be buying it up in a frenzy weeks before it is announced and not be in the loop when they halted constantinople so abruptly.

The FORK has been done and Ethereum is getting to a better one.
But as the news said and from the team we will still not able to experience the CONSTANTINOPLE this time.
As we will be using the same as before, though we are now carrying to another level.

This is a positive news that many people were waiting for, as it will affect the development of the market as a whole,and not only investors will invest more money and buy tokens of this project,but also the PR of the project will go more, its application in society will be more, and the scale will cover a huge, so it's cool)))
