Title: Best small exchanges that you really like
Post by: AnnaWillion on March 05, 2019, 11:19:29 AM
Hi guys!
I'm going to make analytical research. I'm interested what small and not popular exchanges you really like? And why?
What exchange do you recommend to young ICO projects to list their coin?

Thanks in advance!

The small exchanges that I like are Mercatox, p2p, trade.io, which are exchanges I often do some token transactions of ICO projects and have quite cheap fees. Looking ahead, the Beaxy and Bitsdaq exchanges will come out and I am very much looking forward to these two exchanges. it also supports ICO projects.

I kind of like idax, its definitely not the best out there but that is the point of it, binance is what I deem best for myself but idax is the small one with weird coins. Whenever there is an airdrop or sorts happen idax seems to be one of the first to get those coins, that way we can definitely start trading (or basically selling) those coins. It doesn't have the volume of any other major exchange but compared to small ones its not bad neither, its doing alright for itself.

I think for bounty hunters and people who follow airdrops its one of the best out there. Only problem I have with them is the lack of support, I think its Chinese so their English is not that great which causes some issues while you talk with them, I had a withdrawal issue and had to fix it myself since they failed to help me out.

Let's see. Off the top of my head, from biggest to smallest (among the smallest anyway), my list:

1. Waves dex. Incredibly frustrating in terms of waiting 2 years now for volumes to pick up, but that it's still up there refusing to die in this period says a lot. If dexs had a light wallet plus exchange and portfolio listing like Waves does...

2. Bitpanda. Not the typical exchange. You don't make or take orders, you just buy and sell at their rate. Decent offerings for major currencies, best of all ability to sell for fiat without verification.

3. Bisq. P2P because this is how it all began! Non custodial escrow which attracted me and volume slowly coming up. Secure and open source.

HotBit is one of the exchange that I like but I don't know if it is not well-known exchange but I mostly heard it here on the forum and I think this is small exchange but they have 235 coins available from their site.

If you are searching from unique exchange site and you wan't it to add to your research much better to go with this link

https://www.coingecko.com/en/exchanges
https://coinmarketcap.com/rankings/exchanges/

It's just my suggestion.

I think Hotbit and Mercatox will be good choice if the project want to listed in exchange. I think Merkatox is a good platform but the volume so small.

This one for me as well. I don't know what Bisq hasn't received that much attention of to this day. I'm not really sure when this exchanges started, but once I discovered it, I fell in love and I would love to see the volume really picking up this year because there's so much promise and of course the non-custodial escrow is not to be denied and could be the best out there.

as an ICO project you should focus on creating something useful and doing some actual work with the free money that you are asking people to pay you for releasing a pointless token that has no utilities! if you focus on that, and try to actually create something that has utilities and make it so that it is going to be used then you wouldn't need to worry about where you should list it! the popularity and usefulness of it would do that for you.

I really like Mercatox and Yobit.

Though Yobit isn't really "small".

Apart from that I like DDEX - one of the first decentralized exchanges I used.

Waves and Idex.
These are both good platform. They are just not supported too well.
People now prefer the centralized ones and it really is depressing.
I have been trading with Waves before and the features are great. You could use waves coins for cheaper transaction fees. Just like the BNB of binance.
Idex is next which you wont have a problem with fees. Unlike others which are like robbing you with high fees.
Example: Hitbtc

I did not trade to the small exchanges site anymore because mostly I trade to exchanges site who are popular and most trusted exchanges site and even the new can trade their they token or coin and listed the token. Because mostly now we need to look to the exchanges site who are big and trusted because mostly small exchanges site are turn into scam but not all.

I am not sure whether Kucoin is considered as a small exchange to you. I enjoy trading there. The volumes are not as huge as Binance, but everything else is working fine. I feel that Kucoin has the potential to be one of the top exchanges in the future.

Okay, apart from the solid ones I mentioned above, I actually think Yobit deserves some acknowledgement for what they did bring to the scene.

It's definitely punching well above its weight for a "small cex" and I did get some interesting trades there when I first started:
1. Bitcoin and Ethet markets, great. But doge and waves markets actually not half bad. Great for liquidating dust to doge and actually getting something out of it.
2. Earliest (to my knowledge) to get the fork futures out well before other exchanges. I got a 1:1 for most bitcoin forks and liquidated immediately.

Bad? Terrible customer support. Questionable investbox and instant ICO options.

I think it's Latoken. I'm not sure if it's popular or not but it's pretty easy to use and very secured at the same time. I recommend it to young ICO projects since there are a lot of active and big traders there.

To be honest, Latoken was not really a good exchange from my opinion, well they rank on TOP 50. But because of a lot project listing at there, the volume trading was really small. Until now i still doesn't use Latoken.

Precisely, I'm not a hater but when I see its poor liquidity it drives me away from using it. I seen many people insanely dump their token in LAtoken, without considering the ico price.

Maybe it will be good if OP will try to at least explain what is really a " small exchanges " mean. Do it literally mean low liquidity or those new ones? Otherwise if we were talking about the popularity well I guess I can't give an answer since I really don't use those.

I wonder why the Author is even trying to trade on a small crypto currency exchanges when he should be looking for more reliable and well known exchanges if his project is to maximally succeed.

Sometimes, before I invest in any coin at all, first thing I look at is to check which exchange they are listed on and once I see that it is not a big exchanges, I look away and term the coin as another failed project still in existence. I invest my money more on coins on reliable and popular exchanges.

If you are saying about only new exchange which is trying to be popular then I can say it could be P2PB2B. But if you tell me to chose small but popular then I like to trade Idex. I like to trade in Idex than trade.io or hitbtc even bitfnex.

Want to trade a shitcoin, with a small capital/amount better to trade with shitcoin because if we trade on major coin the profit not really worth. I like trade with shitcoin maybe around 30-50$ or 50-100$, for the profit sometimes was really crazy 30-50% only 3-4 days or even more than that. Examples i trade at Coinexchange, Stex or Mercatox because a lot shitcoin/token listed at there.

For the small exchange, I usually use Mercatox, the trading view looks so friendly plus the lowest withdrawal fee, superb. For the biggest exchanges, of course, it goes to binance, has the bigger volume and it means more profit.

I think Hotbit and Mercatox will be good choice if the project want to listed in exchange. I think Merkatox is a good platform but the volume so small.

Hotbit and Mercatox in my opinion are both not well known in this business industry. In fact, most of the coins they have in the platform where according to the majority community here are mostly shitcoins, sorry for the term. So for me it is still safe to trade with the trusted exchange or has a name in this industry of crypto trading and bitcoin.

I will not hesitate to make Kucoin's recommendation because of the volume decline in recent days. After the last update, this stock market, which does not have as high volume as before, is absolutely perfect in terms of service quality. On the other hand, I don't use it very often, and I use Codex service from time to time in my signature area and I am very satisfied. In addition, Switcheo will be another good advice that can be made between small exchanges.

Majority of small exchanges with little or no listing fee, usually does not provide enough publicity, and would not be an ideal target of small projects. Some run voting contests, which are ways of improving their own publicity.
A top exchange is always the best destination.

the reason why they are small is because they dont provide enough publicity or promotions due to a tight  budget .these kind of exchanges will slowly die in the long run because no one ever trades them and people will oftenly mistakin them as shady  . your right mate , top exchange is the best way to go because you are already sure about their quality  .  although the main issue of top exchanges is that they cost a little more fee compare to the unrated ones but that isnt a big loss if you are really conscious about your safety  .

There are more than 200 crypto exchanges now, and i use exchange that have high trading volume and listed alot of good crypto. There are new exchanges that now become top 10 exchange according to trading volume like Bitmax and ZB.com. Liquid is new and still small exchange that has potential to be big exchange because they have fully regulation in Japan.

I am also using Cobinhood and it is really great in the beginning, but in the last few months things are not really good because the trading volume has been greatly reduced and investors are no longer interested in exchanging. this too. If there is a new option, I recommend you choose Bimax because this is exchange that is being talked about a lot by the community recently.

I am not sure based on what are criteria, you are marking some exchanges small or big because I do see some exchanges are not having big volume yet they are listing wide range of coins and tokens and in big numbers too. I assume by popularity you are classifying small exchanges from rest of exchanges. Because, when an exchange becomes popular, it will become big too in terms of reputation and volume.

I used tidex and I guess they are not grabbing big attention from this community but my withdrawal requests were processed on time. Mercatox is another exchange I am following but not yet trading there. When I need to sell some new tokens then I look for new exchanges hence I do not need to look for more exchanges frequently.

well, to minimize the risk, I rarely use a small exchanger, even I don't know if something like that exists. the only transaction I did was someone who helped me, and he only opened exchange services on fiat and crypto, and that was not official.

Most widely accepted crypto exchanges and used are quite very popular too, I have not used any new exchanges for me to recommend one to you because the best is still all these popular ones which are more reliable, so I will advise you try as much as possible to get your listing on those popular ones.

People nowadays needs reliable exchanges and not even by popularity alone talk less of all these small upcoming ones that will end up delisting all coins later and packing up.

Small exchange is mean they have low trading volume,  and new token should be listed in bigger exchange so the token will have more high trading volume and more demand so the price has potential  to increase. HitBTC is good exchange  and they have lower listing fee for new token.

I like Decentralized EXchange like IDEX in the ethereum network. This exchange have a bunch of coins listed specially those tokens that just recently finish their ICO. This is the go-to exchange and mostly the first exchange for new tokens. Disadvantages only is the minimum trading balance which they apply recently

Talking about top exchanges, most of them all started as little too, even the popular Binance started little, it’s just their strategy that supersedes most of these smaller ones and if these smaller ones know how to play their game well, they might not necessary park up.

It just same in business generally, we have large scale businesses and also small scale businesses both are doing fine in business industry, though some small ones may not see the light of the day and that won’t be long from when they started.

This is same in exchanges too; we have some exchanges that are relatively small and have been existing for some time now and still existing.  In fact they have less stress compared to the major ones, the major ones keeps having on challenge one way or the other without disclosing it to the public.

Well, I have been using yobit for a while now and I have never experienced such action from them though my money does not stay long in yobit wallet, I use yobit anytime I want to trade some coins not on Binance which I transfer out immediately I am done and ever since I have been buying coins from them and doing my withdrawal and deposit, I have never encountered any issue and the amazing thing about them is that their transaction is very fast especially when withdrawing and they also have low fee.

Regardless of where we exchanging or trading, it is always being emphasized not to be depending on your exchanger for holding your crypto assets. Deposit, trade and withdraw and then repeat for another day. Because, there were billions worth of coins and tokens had been robbed so far in many exchange hacking and shut down incidents.

Why do ICO makers should be interested in listing in small exchanges? I'm telling about limits of possibilities. Coins need a potential liquidity and as much as possible.

It's not so easy to get listed on big exchanges, talking about the cost, it will be too much for new ico projects just getting to find their feet.
That is why small/new projects tend to list on small an affordable exchanges, most times for free.
If it was that easy, they will all list on big and popular exchanges, which will be far more beneficial for such projects.
Only the really good projects after some time actually get listed on big exchanges

Cointiger is one of the new exchange that have nice interface and provide feature of stop limit, i have seen alot of new small exchanges from Asia and i think they want to follow and to be just like Binance. Cointiger also provide nice mobile app for trading.

Small exchange is mean they have low trading volume,  and new token should be listed in bigger exchange so the token will have more high trading volume and more demand so the price has potential  to increase. HitBTC is good exchange  and they have lower listing fee for new token.

Yes, i used small exchanges for the coins which are only listed there and could not be find anywhere else.  My favorite one was cryptopia which was hacked early this year. :(   I also had some funds there which i am not sure will be recovered or not.

One thing which i learnt from my experience is that never store any funds on the small exchanges. You can transfer funds to the small exchanges

HITBTC is not a small exchange too mates and they are quite popular like Binance but the issue with HitBTC is that they register a lot of these shitcoins a lot and they also easily delisted coins.

Most of these small ones are not having volumes because most of us are the ones discouraging the upcoming ICOs about them by asking them to go for the already existing ones with high volumes, so how will they survive if we don’t try them and funny enough, the smaller ones has more facilities sometime compared to the big ones.

Hopefully IDEX will offer BTC pairs cause a lot of people investing this coin and it looks more attractive to the traders if they have it.
I'm also using IDEX and it works fine for me, fees also is considerable but we can't expect of having huge gains due to its volume and only few traders that are using this one.

Latoken is small? ;D They draw a lot of liquidity)))
https://twitter.com/cryptointegrity/status/1100724620896948225
I do not understand how Latoken has such a volume. Looks they cheat. Very little currencies are traded with large volumes, while others have zero volumes. Anyway, IDAX seems good for your situation. Surely, there are dozens of such exchanges, but we can not trust each one.

I think Hotbit and Mercatox will be good choice if the project want to listed in exchange. I think Merkatox is a good platform but the volume so small.
there is always a choice for small business people. if we want to enter on a small scale then consider a valuable lesson, if we get a big project we become more thorough, because things like this become like a business experience.

I still prefer and like hotbit. Simple interface not too complicated. A major issue with these small exchanges is that they have limited tokens trading on their platform. For someone who has a diversified portfolio and trading constantly, a bigger exchange like binance will be the first option. Whichever one, security is key. Don't leave tokens on Exchange. Anything may happen anytime. Won't want to loose my funds.

I'm going to make analytical research. I'm interested what small and not popular exchanges you really like? And why?
What exchange do you recommend to young ICO projects to list their coin?

Thanks in advance!

Okay so if someone just casually reads your message,  then his first question will be why you need only smal exchanges?
I mean it's always better if we use trusted and big exchanges.
But after reading your post,  i came to know that you want to list your token in the exchange.
I can say you that if you're legit and your coin is legit,  then you gonna surely make it out.
And yeah you can see the list of the exchanges that accept tokens to be listed for mors info.

Generally, I don't use more exchange except some popular exchange. When I can not find any coin in large exchange then try to find out where the coin is listed. Sometimes I used mercatox. I loved this site only for deposit and withdrawal speed because the speed was very fast and instant. But I did not use this exchange a long time I don't know how works now. Thanks

We have lots of crypto exchanges which can be seen on the coinmarketcap site but none of them are much safer to use like binance or other because they don't have much reputation so they won't care if they ruin it by scamming others for huge amount.

Me too i don't usually use more exchange since there is always a problem with those exchanges that's why they are not so popular. But there are some exchanges who are not so popular yet they were good to use especially in the local exchange in your town. It may be a small exchange but it is too helpful in other countries.

I guess his reply was not really looking at it from the angle of small exchanges because I am sure that there is no one in this crypto that doesn’t know that Binance is still the biggest exchange we have right now, and it is still the most reliable one ever.

If I am to advise the OP too, I will just ignore that little part of small exchange and give him a bigger one that is more trustworthy, because I have not seen any small exchanges that has really met often the standard, I tried giving on these exchanges that is just coming up a try, but my experience with them was such a terrible one and would not try such a thing again.

Not necessarily. People lost a lot of money because they trusted big exchanges,,, who does not know about Mt Gox for example or now Bitfinex and all the thousands of customers who are withdrawing their funds in panic. Whether or not Bitfinex is really covering up almost $1B of losses is no longer relevant,,, the thing is people no longer trust it so are leaving.

Small services are advantageous because they have less clients. More attention to you and your project. For users, it means less lag on orders. Faster customer support.

yes you are right in sometimes the smallest changes are also important to handle our less investment to convert word so I think increase the good exchanges especially the smallest changes not available then it will be little difficult for everyone to convert amount to normal currency.

Coindeal ? Hearing for the first time. My humble suggetion to you and OP is, please try to make use of reputed exchanges rather than looking to save something in fees with small exchanges.

I have been a fan of Binance for so many reasons. This is a great platform that is concerned about the benefits of the users. It will never list a project or coin or token that could hurt its users and as a result, Binance users make more money on the average than the rest of the people who use other exchanges. This is why we all love this exchange. Coinbase is also good exchange with great reviews but do not always follow the reviews and decide on the basis of the services they offer.

Kucoin without a doubt, they are small but they have good volume, good promotions, their shares, on kucoin all the time you have something new, and they are sending all those announcements to mail, sharing on different social networks. I think they are aiming to be big one day, much bigger then they are now. You can trade without kyc, just with withdraw limit, which is benefit for me.

I don’t make use of small exchanges and I don’t like them. It just doesn’t work for me cause most of them I have tried turns out to be scam at last or maybe face some serious problems. Instead of looking for small exchanges to list your ICOs, while not do your best to get it listed on the bigger exchanges so that people can trust your project. And by the way, there isn’t a lot of people who are making use of small exchanges, they don’t have much users.

There are lots of new exchange that do even offer free listing but the risk is pretty high that's why if you are having an erc20 token based tokens then I would rather
choose up on trading up on DEXes first than on centralized ones.

I really love the Mexican exchange Bitso because of the great ease with which you can make the exchange between fiat money and cryptocurrencies, in a virtually automatic way, bank deposits are made and it is quite functional and practical for those who deal with cryptocurrencies in Mexico, however, it does not seem to be the best option to trade for its relatively high fees, in addition its mobile app is not very functional.

Everyone has its choice on choosing a small Exchanger. Definitely if am to drop for example (Mercatox} you get to see another person go against it due to what they might encounter. I don't really give an idea to make use of small Exchangers now adays because they are not well known I still go in for the big one's.

To be honest, Bittrex is still one of the best exchanges though the volume is not like what is it in case of Binance but of course Binance has the big volume because it is the leading exchange in the crypto space. The exchanges which you call smaller are smaller because majority of the people prefer to use the big exchanges which means exchanges with high demand among users. It is due to the great service that people on Binance are making more money than people on any other exchange.

There are small exchanges and lots of them and they usually turn to something else at the end,  maybe because they can’t keep up with the competition or they can’t afford the cost of running and maintaining the exchange. So instead of looking for smaller exchanges to list your coins,  it is best to look for bigger exchanges cause they are what people makes use of these days. Smaller exchanges don’t really have a lot users. As a newbie I wasn’t even making use of any small exchange, I started with Coinbase .

All my coins who in small exchanges site are withdraw are transfer to the wallet and other big exchanges site. Kucoin is also my favorite exchange because the trading volume of this exchange is real and has been chosen by many small investors in recent months. I think Kucoin has a very good level of security because every time I withdraw money I have to go through 3 security processes and this makes my property safe. In the future Kucoin will grow even more if the IEO projects at this exchange have great success and this exchange has many new investors, the Kucoin will soon become a big exchange in the future.

In my exploring in the world of cryptocurrency, I notice that some exchange platforms are created and have a lot of useful features too, and only a few traders know some of them. One of the exchanges i used before is the wave dex, and it has an application, it's just more likely a coinbase, but the most priority is the wave coin. Next is the yobit; this exchange platform looks like an expert option that all the details you needed are already there. It would help if you searched, and what coin do you want to exchange it supports a lot of different currency too even the dead and none popular coins.

KuCoin and HitBtc are pretty friendly for users. I wouldn't try depositing with CC as it is expensive compared to others, but KYC is softer and you can find a lot of weird stuff to trade. They seem big and legit enough not to try exit scams. I liked cryptopia before, but well... hope none of these two is going the same path lol

I really like mercatox as a place to buy new tokens, I remember buying an XRB token in mercatox. Mercatox indeed exchanges with
low volume, but I recommend enough to use. Indeed, I like having difficulties when withdrawing on mercatox exchanges. But I have
never lost funds at Mercatox, the worst possibility will only be a few days late when the funds will be held back withdraw from mercatox.
And I suggest to be more careful if we will use low volume exchanges, if we are us considering what happens with cryptopia you should
definitely be more vigilant.

I like Kucoin because this is an exchange with a lot of good projects listed and if that project has stopped working then Kucoin will proceed delist from this exchange. In my opinion, with what happened, Kucoin is a very suitable exchange for new investors and the trading volume here is always very high so you will not need to worry about liquidity because Kucoin is doing very good for the last few years.

In addition, Bitmax is also a very interesting option for investors because this exchange has only appeared for one year and there will certainly be many other exchanges that will be known by this year.

I have used Kucoin a while ago, to be honest, they have a smooth operating system and the withdrawal is very quick. But I don't like Kucoin for some reason, this exchange has too many bots and doesn't have as high a volume as before. Currently, many trading pairs are dead and no one is using it anymore. If in the future Kucoin does not change the current situation, I think this exchange will quickly become shit like many other exchanges like Hitbtc, Latoken ...

I actually trade on Waves DEX. They are constantly updating and good with their services. Also waves has their leasing concept through which you can earn interest without actually sending the waves anywhere. Coingecko is also good and has many coins.

I´m somewhat careful with the small Exchanges, but I have a friend who does trading in the Exchange called Mercatox and Tradesatoshi, according to him they are very reliable and always manages to make large profits, he affirms that he can study the movement of the whales and follow them, that there It is where you earn the most when you determine it, in a way you are right, if we follow the whales in their movements we will have gains, the bad thing is to go against whales, although in my concept I still prefer the most reliable Exchanges such as Binance, Bitfinex, Kraken , among others...

Small exchanges do really have that kind of negative impression in most people but using them isnt really a bad idea after all yet not all of them arent that capable nor trustable.
Just use and take it on your own risk while using them and same as yours im not really that fan of considering on using smaller ones yet if i can able to use the reputable and most popular then
leaning back to smaller ones isnt possible.

Hi guys!
I'm going to make analytical research. I'm interested what small and not popular exchanges you really like? And why?
What exchange do you recommend to young ICO projects to list their coin?

Thanks in advance!
The small exchanges are ready to list the coin of any project and are ready for starting any IEO for any project but that do not work because that do not make any trade volume and on that exchanges the IEOs do not collect the required funds so I think not many people like it.
It is also right that if we all will take interest in an exchange then it will not remain small anymore but they are still smaller because they either do not have a good trust level or they do not advertise their exchange to collect the users.
