Title: Android version /Electrum Bitcoin Wallet
Post by: crypto6unny on March 07, 2019, 10:07:44 AM
Is there a way to dump your private keys in Android app?

Is there a way to import the seed of Android version to a Mac/Linux/Windows version of the app?

There is not option (as far I know) in Electrum Android app for export / import private keys, but there should be no problems to import seed from Android app in any Electrum desktop version. Then in the desktop version you can see your private keys for each individual address by click addresses - right click on address - private key.

However I would not recommend that you play with private keys, only important is your seed words. If you want to claim some forked coin be sure to transfer all bitcoins to new wallet (with new seed), and then you are safe to use old seed / private keys.

The mac version of the app didn't recognise the seed of android version - and same with the linux version of electrum.

Edit: The problem was fixed though when updated the mac version from electrum-3.3.3 to electrum-3.3.4.

ps. There is a way to export a private key on electrum android app:
first make an invoice in send tab, then click the invoice, then click 'Details' and now you can choose 'Export private key'

Except it gives an error!  ::)

Yes you can delete the old wallets in electrum.

To delete it go to your settings of the phone then find the apps/info after that find the electrum then find the storage and memory then find the clear data just touch it and your wallet is gone.

Now you can use and create new wallet again.

Edit:
Read the post by nc50lc below before you do this.

Just a minor warning!
If you follow BitMaxz's reply, ALL of your Electrum's wallets (including the settings and block_header) will be deleted, not just the old ones.

You can delete a wallet by selecting the said wallet, then click the wallet name above (center-top); next, after opening the wallet details, click the "delete" button just below the screen (lower-right).
