Brave Browser’s reward program is now live for the users who will view ads. Now the users will be rewarded in the form of Basic Attention Token (BAT).

On 8th March Brave Ads Developer, Channel Preview advances from phase one to phase two. Phase two provides users the feature to view Brave ads and earn token in the form of BAT and claim that token at the end of every month.

Is this in existent ? Because I happen to be a very good brace browser user but I have not seen any form of ads on the platform any time I use brave browser

It was a long time as far as I know, and I think that this is a very cool motivation for making the Internet more general. I think that the whole idea is very cool and BAT will be able to improve its position.

In present situation I would do anything that is legal to earn as much as I could. This kind of job is nothing new to me and you can say I am a hard worker even for the slightest payments I do put so much attention to it. I hope the paid ad review are better than any paid survey ads out there. Waiting for more information and hopefully gets portions of BAT SOON.

I am confused with the procedure! Because I haven't seen any ads video but still in my Brave Browser I got 20 BAT Coin, So, I tried to withdraw them but it showing I can only tip these BAT coin to my favorite content creator! I've created an account and tried last month. But auto contribute didn't work. I visited my friends verified publisher page but there is no BAT in his account (Auto Contribute date was 15/03) I guess there is no way to earn free way. We have to make our deposit to brave wallet and sent it to publishers.

It was on Phase one and now phase two has been released as per OP. If so, we can now earn while browsing different sites. I have never tried it though. However, it would be better to have an idea, I'm interested to use the brave browser because any product from google is nothing but giving all of the info to them.

This idea is brilliant, I like bat and the way it is trying to compete with chrome, it doesn't have any advertising, based on Blockchain, the thing that I think needs to be improve is its speed, it is very slower than Chrome.

So in conclusion, still not easy to win BAT. Also, the question I want to ask was Auto-Contribute. Even if Brave Reward makes a calculation and declares that it will pay, I guess it doesn't.

This is a good movement by this company and I know in few months to come they will get massive adoption if the browser it's actually built on the blockchain and totally decentralized, this means that the activities of users browsing the internet cannot be monitored by the government or network providers.

There's nothing to worry about payment. They will definitely pay. BAT token isalready being distributed/rewarded through the brave browser. But only publishers are getting paid in BAT token.

We experienced it that they are doing payment monthly. This is not my question. I ask you that you have never tried auto contribute. Or Is there any rules for it. For example should we have a BAT in our wallet for auto contribute or Brave doing it for us automatically?

You should try Brave browser. I used it for more than a month, and it's really lightweight and faster compare with other. It's use chrome core, but It blocks ads better. And u will receive 30 BAT after 1 month installing Brave.

I am using it especially when I watch Youtube videos. With Brave, I don't see any advertise unwanted. I like it so much. I watch my all videos freely with Brave. But still, I can not get free BAT with watching video

You have to use the developer version if you want to receive rewards for watching ads. It's not yet implemented in the "regular" version.

This is great news, I've been waiting for such an update. I have been using the browser for more than a year and it is really a new level in the fight against advertising and protection of personal data. BAT token is one of the best coins on the market and I believe that with the increase in the number of users and the popularization of cryptocurrencies and blockchain, it will be a project of Google or Apple level.

Very cool browser, I also use it only in a virtual machine on Windows. But I think that many even use it on the main axes. Nevertheless, I think that now there are a very large number of really cool features that this browser can make.

I have installed a brave browser in my phone for how many months, but I seldom used it. I have just known about this BAT, today and I guess I'll be using brave from now on. I'll have to do some research about how can I earn more bat in brave.

I also installed this application but after that there was no further action I stopped because I did not know how to make money from there, out there there are many people who have earned income from Brave browser.

Currently supported countries, as far as I know: United States, United Kingdom, Canada, France, Germany. You need to check if notifications are enabled. On the 5th of each month it is possible to receive payment for viewing ads. Reddit should have detailed instructions.

Brave Browser Is Weird

Brave browser has a nice features for both entrepreneurs and average people. After the release of Brave rewards, the alternatives are squeezed. I also prefer to use the  Brave browser and support the contributors on the BAT network.

Honestly I have never had good feelings with KYCs, because we all don't know what will happen, especially with our identities. Facebook can leak their users data, so what if Brave browser leaks their users data (that they collect from KYCs)?

This is due to all the device farmings people do in order to earn more. They do have to implement some ways to stop fraud and they implemented what was easy for them. But the users of brave are actually privacy focused and when they are asking for identity, most of them would not provide or some may even stop using the browser as the so called earnings are low and the risk involved in providing the identity is high.

All these browsers that promise crypotocurrencies for using them don't actually give as you expect. I used one sometimes ago. Although it was just like Chrome and it was relatively fast in browsing but the payment aspect turned out to be as more like a scam because what they paid was close to nothing.

It's a great news that the users will now be able to earn BAT tokens while they are surfing the web. I thought of installing the brave browser on my Linux machine but I am unable to install it.
The commands mentioned on their website seems to give out an error when entered on my terminal. Could anybody help me with that ?
The second command that starts with curl seems to give out the issue. I am using Ubuntu 18.04.

Our world has been heading more and more towards one or two megacorporations dominating certain markets or products.

That's why crypto is so important.
It can bypass all that nonsense and redistribute everything.

According to the latest update, users can now view ads and get rewards in bat token. This is a huge development to be honest but the sad part of the story is that not all locations have this feature yet. Some countries are still left out on this feature and I can't tell when they will open for everyone

I thought this feature was available for a long time if you are from the US, not people from every country could take care of this rewards and i can understand because it is the beginning phase and hopefully they will make sure that the entire globe will make use of their advertisement platform and with the team leading that project i am sure they will have a market penetration in the coming years.

Jet Cash is the one help me to know it by putting link to his site, in which I can see brief introduction to Brave browser and link to download. Yes, Jet Cash brough Brave browswer to me, for a long time ago. Brave browswer allows TOR, and amazingly using TOR on Brave browser is more smootly than in Tor Browser.

All I know is this is a referral-based program, you can earn Bat from referring people to download and use Brave browser, I'm still waiting for its feature that you can earn Bat for just watching ads, but I have been using Brave Browser, but until now I cannot see those ads, in fact they are blocking ads from the sites I'm visiting.

They are finally allowing to withdraw but it looks like only through Uphold.  Verification has been difficult, with the 2 Factor Google not working on it.  

Then they require you to take a selfie, not upload one.  My desktop machine doesn't have a camera attached to it, so this step was impossible.  My laptop has a different account and most of the BAT I earned is on the desktop.

Bad actors are now using Brave Browser to scam people out of their money, read carefully what I have posted because for sure most of us here have received that messages already. And I do hope that no one falls for this trick.

Apparently earn BAT by seeing ads not available in all areas, there are areas that haven't been on the program list yet, because I have set up this and use brave browser for a couple month but no ads appear.

I think I have earned just 0.1BAT, I don't seem to be seeing the adds am viewing, also I am yet to complete KYC. I use brave browser on my PC and I love it. Always keep my working page intact even after closing the browser and shutting down and it's fast.

The biggest disadvantage of Brave browser is it requires users to fully complete KYCs in order to be legit and receive BATs. I am not going through their KYC requirement just because I want to receive some BAT from their advertisement views.

Don't be too greedy and self-disclose your identities, then self-destroy your privacy and your money in the long aspect.

The kyc will happen not in brave but in the exchange that will transfer your earn tokens.
You can only earn little amount in brave for the ads unless you prefer refer many friends under you and use bravr, its doesnt matter if you want to earn from it or not its almost the same as using it without earnings .

I think the biggest disadvantage is the fact that they have to keep giving away money constantly and while the number of users are increasing the amount of money earned doesn't, that diminishes over time.

If they could potentially market themselves to companies a lot better and say that "we are basically google chrome with ads so you can rent space here and make sure everyone who uses our browser will see your ad" or something that would be a great addition, I know people hate ads and they use adblock and so forth and all the "ads are evil" type stuff but if you got paid A LOT more money for viewing ads, I am sure you wouldn't mind it. This is right now at peanuts level and do not worth even changing from Chrome which I am happy about, it has to provide a lot bigger income to make me change.

It is a good browser and performs well in tests. It's a solid use case, too. I used it for a while, but didn't see any ads at all (even after going through help to ensure I had everything set up correctly). This eroded my faith a bit, and I stopped using it. Maybe I'll go back in future, as I know others have had good experiences. Probably just teething troubles.

Personally an not seeing this browser from the perspectives many have taken, am personally happy to have a browser than is safe and that can keep mW anonymous. Many I have wanted to have a good privacy browser but found nine till when the Brave browser came onboard.  Am not interested on their earnings with BATs but just surfing the Internet with confidence, that's all I wanted.

The KYC is only done on an exchange which the earned BATs tokens will be sent for exchange and not the browser itself that's requesting for the KYC.

I think it only available to selected users only if you are using pc same thing in mobile. I have brave browser installed in my phone and I don't have that kind of feature yet while one of my friends who uses brave as well already has that kind of feature and already earning from. Monthly Brave rewards has lessen though.

Brave browser has been releasing and giving away BAT token a long time ago, and i really like how you could earn it from just watching ads and you can receive a bat token by just sending it to someone who has their own youtube channel. And this browser is also safe to use, that is why not only crypto users used this browser.

I have used brave browser but i haven't earned any tokens yet. I haven't found any specialty in brave browser. I have faced few threats when i used this browser from my antivirous software and i deleted this. But i appreciate their promotion as many users of this browser get tokens and earned.

I really like Brave. It seems like it is much more faster than other browsers and of course earning BATs is a really nice innovation. So far I have earned 22 BATs from the beginning of this year. Not too bad.

I hardly get 3 ads daily and I don't want to go to KYC so I guess I will not make BAT out of viewing their ads or any other program that will reward members with their shit coin, but I do love their browser, a good alternative for the browsers I'm using for the last ten years but they will never beat Chrome.

I have been using brave browser for about 5 months and I am very satisfied with the experience so far. I'm not even using it for earning. It is much faster compared to chorme or firefox (I tested it for a few sites myself) and it have many useful tools already built in. Like track blockers and add blockers. This is pretty awesome because just by using the Brave browser up and viewing ads from it, you can already have a privilege to be rewarder with their Basic Attention Token (BAT). What I can just say is that this is a good promotion strategy to be able to make use of Brave browser. I have used Brave browser before and what I can say is that it is a good browser. I just cannot remember the reason why I have decided to uninstall it before. But maybe because of this, I would try reinstalling it once again and see if it is true and if the BAT is worthy. Anyway, it is already March 10 in the forum so I guess it was already 2 days after the launch of the project which is March 8 so I expect there is already an existing reward policy for viewing ads using Brave browser. Personally I never tried using this brave browser but I already read a lot of article about this cryptocurrency browser.

Looking at this news could be a good news since it implementing a cryptocurrency reward but in experience earning in watching advertisements videos was totally not worth it considering the time and tech you are using.

Every time I disable the Crypto.com Exchange widget on the start site and then update the browser, the widget is back. Does anyone know a way to turn it off permanently?

If you are old brave users well thats worth it. But if you are new that want to earn from ads you need to first buy the tokens to be able to verify the wallet .you need a minimum 25 bat tokens to verify it and to recieve rewards for having an ads.
No idea why they make this but its not good for those new to this program and have difficulty to understand block chain .

Brave has made a partnership with bitcoin.com so now Brave users can purchase the crypto through the Browser.

It makes me wonder why users cannot purchase Bitcoin and maybe there will be other coins offered with BCH.

Brave has been doing many strange things lately. This is another one. The project was started to do many things differently. No spying, no hurdle to earn crypto, etc. All this is now gradually being put right. I do not understand the strategy of Brave behind it anymore. I used the browser as main browser on the desktop and mobile. I do not do that anymore.

I’ve been using Brave (again) for a month or so and just decided to look at the ad and cryptocoin parts. I hadn’t looked at it or activated it ‘till yesterday. Before trying to earn anything I thought I’d check out what it’s like to actually try and get money out (to fiat currency, such as USD) ... Lotta people don’t think about that until far too late and perhaps realize, for example, that the sale price and buy price are not the same and they’ve been looking at mirages the whole time.  So I created a wallet (super low security online one) and began the process to create an account and get verified with uphold. After verifying my email address I hit some sort of glitch (I can’t remember what, didn’t matter) and dropped it. Today I got an uphold email reminding me to continue and verify my email address. So I verified/re-verified it and went to do the verification process and was pretty much instantly verified.  Just did so in-browser on iOS; didn’t need to install the Uphold app.

There are so many levels of trust (and/or expert analysis and understanding) involved in relying on cryptocoins that I’ve never felt pulled to take a plunge. In hindsight, that cost me millions ‘cause I could’ve set up a bitcoin miner back when it made sense to set up a regular PC as a bitcoin miner; miners weren’t even using FPGAs/GPUs/DSPs let alone ASICs!  Woe!  I read a bunch and downloaded the source code but never bothered to set up the operation!

Price of the Bat token is down 9.51% in the last 7 days.  It might have something to do with Brave CEO Brendan Eich and his controversial comments.  This is not how head of a company should be acting if he wants people to trust in his products.

Unfortunately, Brave has lost its trust a lot over the past few months. I've been with Brave from the start, even when the browser was beta. I've used it as my main browser on desktop and iPhone for over a year. But the decisions and the broken promises of what can be done with the earned BATs have led me to distance myself from the browser. I haven't used it at all since the summer. And it seems like Brave isn't learning from past mistakes. It's a shame it's a good product.

wait . you can now earn free sats/btc on brave ? i thought its the bat token that they are giving away as a reward but bat token can still be converted into a sats/btc once we cashed them out outside the brave platform and about the ads , we dont need to stare them if that is our goal to earn but you can move away from your device because the ads will still play automatically .

No, there is still only the possibility to earn BAT tokens which you can withdraw when you are fine with doing a KYC and then you can exchange those BAT into Bitcoin if you will. But on the one hand you need to do a KYC for little money and on the other hand the earnings have decreased over the last months. So it is not really worth it to participate on the program just to make money. However, you can make some side earnings to spend them for content creators.

Brave now supports the new 2020 Macbooks M1 processor.  The added support will allow Mac users to earn BAT tokens.

Every body is not the same when it comes to life. Easy, light, fast and you earn BAT, even without having to watch ads... Just by surfing and letting the browser block the ads it gives you rewards.

I temporarily used Ecosia when it came up over a decade ago (guess it was around 2010/2011). It's an alternative which uses a customized Bing search (formerly Google search) and integrating ads. A big part of the ads income are used to plant trees around the world. It is nothing special, just another search engine that serves a special purpose. You get the same results as you would get using Bing. You have always been able to add it via addon to your browser.

Brave browser is one of the legit applications I know on cellphones or computers so many people use it because you use it to make money with bat tokens. I also know that it is safe to use and the security is strong and hackers can't just enter what I know to make money. a bat token is every view of ads and clicks of websites or links but it depends because there are websites that pay more.

Ive actually been using the Brave browser myself for the past month and been very happy with it, not sure how high can tokenomics take the BAT token itself (def hold some myself ofc), but I think that anonymity is becoming a big issue these days. Additionally the browser is WAY WAY faster than any other I have used b4 like firefox, chrome, also it shows how much data ure saving and time saved loading also my phone battery seems to die a lot slower when im using brave (idk if thats related - but seems so). So in general I think that even from the users point of view the project has a lot of potential. Definitely recommending.

In another episode of crypto regrets, I do regret not picking those BAT tokens when they were priced for as low as $0.21 - during the August price dump. I didn't know we would have a parabolic crypto bull run this year. At $1.20, that means BAT has done around 5x or more. If the bull run continues for at least another 6 months, I'm sure the price would hit $3 and maybe touch $5 or more. I've been a fan since the early days when brave was launched.


Brave browser is one 9f the very few browsers I install on my pc immediately I get a new OS installed. What's more interesting is the fact that users do get to earn some BAT tokens even though it's not usually much but when it's accumulated,  it can be worth a good amount in the long term.

Since the time that brave browser has been introduce to us, it is the browser that I usually use for it is less memory consumption. The search engine will be based on technology from Cliqz, a German startup that previously owned a major media company in Germany and has now sold to Brave. I had used Clickz in the past because it promised not to collect data and to weight search results based only on browser history. However, compared to Google and DuckDuckGo, the results were not very satisfactory for me. I hope Brave can develop the search technology so that the results are better, then I would give the search a second chance.

I think it's not possible to see how much you earn per ad view. Everything I know is that you can change the settings of your Brave browser to view up to 5 ads hourly, although it's common to not see any for several hours, and geolocation doesn't only influence disponible ads number as it also influences the payrates.

It's much easier than watching ads, because you don't have to keep viewing it for several seconds or complete any captcha. You just use your browser normally and an ad box will appear on the inferior right corner of your desktop (or a notification at smartphone) sometimes. You just click it, open in a new tab and are already credited with some fractions of BAT.

Yes its a good idea by the team to increase the popularity of this browser i personaly haven't use it yet to judge its differences from other browsers but i wonder if the payment is like faucets and how long are these ads.

It is hard to to know how they are calculating your rewards. So just use it because anyway, when you are online, you don't previously care how much you will earn for just browsing the net? And now, aside from saving time or bandwidth and blocking trackers & ads, you are still getting some BAT coins. So not bad, right?


The longer you are using the browser, the higher you will earn. But of course, it is hard to know how much you will earn for example a month of using it. Because it does depend on your internet activity. Just to remind also, upon redeeming your BAT rewards, you need to undergo KYC to fully transfer your rewards to your wallet.
