Title: Hacked accounts and stolen credit card sellers in marketplace
Post by: WaffleMaster on March 28, 2019, 10:55:17 PM
I've reported the threads as well so they should get removed because they break the rules of the market, but these fraudsters are not red tagged yet so.

"Q: Is it someone else's email account?
A: Yes, it is an actual student account that has graduated and left his account inactive thus providing you with a fully secured real email." - IE: Hacked account

Selling stolen credit card information, but probably is just trying to scam people who think they can buy stolen credit card information

I have not looked around in Invites & Accounts very much, but have reviewed Digital goods a couple times over the past few weeks. Each time I visited, the first three or so pages were full of transparent scams and likely money laundering schemes. Oh, and CSW is apparently (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5124203.0) trying to buy some old wallets, but some people consider him to be a scammer.

I don't think it would be a crazy idea to close or somehow restrict Digital goods to solve this problem.

Nah, censoring the sub wouldn't be a good option. There's plenty of other places that have restricted and heavily moderated forum markets. Just gotta have faith in the trust system and that market users will pay attention to it.

This guy also seems to be selling through auto-buy platforms which doesn't takes the responsibility and cancels the payment if a buyer gets invalid content.

Such platforms are a gold mine for scammers to place their scam trap.

Edit: quazwsx1212 seems to be copy/pasting FAQ from another thread. I have reported him here : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1926895.msg50367412#msg50367412

I am just saying that ~99% of the threads in Digital goods are illegitimate in one way or another.

Keeping the status quo will only attract scammers and other people with bad intentions.
