Title: omgtoken - SCAM ACCUSATION
Post by: Juliya_D on April 03, 2019, 04:45:41 PM
What happened: For participation in Airdrop require participants to pay 0.1 ETH.
At that, this requirement is visible only after registering on the site.
Organizers of Airdrop indicate that they are not related to the OmiseGO team. But they are going to hand out a coin to OmiseGO.
Domain for Airdrop is registered 1 day ago. On the same day, OP was registered on the forum: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=2575160
I consider this a scam, because the main purpose of carrying out Airdrop is to collect 0.1 ETH from the forum participants.

It's nice to see that bounty hunters have become clever and it’s not so easy to fool them. According to etherscan.io, no one believed in this free OmiseGO distribution. https://etherscan.io/address/0xbA1d89Fe78dB090885BF2a738E4c8f5712e9CE82 What will happen next - we'll see.

That's definitely a fake airdrop and from the looks of it, they have no connection/affiliation with OmiseGo.

I went along and tagged these idiots, as somebody else already pointed out in their thread - "silly scam".

Cheap idea to make the bounty hunters fool. If still anyone proceed with their scam Airdrop then honestly nothing to say more. I hope these guys already know that hunters will not be interested to join their airdrop if they put the message of 0.1 ETH payment on their airdrop ANN. That's why they put it on their website back end which only get visible after completing registration.
