Title: Lauda & Loyce please confirm your gender...
Post by: akamit on April 05, 2019, 06:56:45 PM
The kitty and the statistician both should confirm their gender.
I assume they want to stay anonymous but revealing their gender won't make a difference I believe.

But the fact is,
Some say "he/him when they think MALE" and
Some say "she/her when they think female" and
Some say nothing when they think they are 3rd gender (I don't know the exact term for 3rd gender), it is just an assumption.

Now, at least tell us your gender so that we can identify appropriately.  :D

There is also a confusion with VOD, his profile says MALE, but how he LICKS HIS BOOBS? There is a high chance that he is not he, but she?

Note #1: Please mind that if you confirm your gender as FEMALE then we may start flirting with you guys.  ;)
Note #2: If I hurt anyone then let me know I will delete the thread.

For Vod's case, the avatar is a male who is licking their Man-boob. Some men have those, especially when they are overweight. (But some have them even if they are skinny.)

They are not humans. ;D

Loycev called as forum's AI and Lauda is a cat. :D

On some of Lauda's post she mentioned that she was a gorgeous lady so I guess she is.

Tim: "Did you hear about Mike? He got cancer of the Loyce"

I assume they want to stay anonymous but revealing their gender won't make a difference I believe.

Revealing gender is at minimum a single step in a binary search! That eliminates ~50% of of the sample.

Some say "he/him when they think MALE" and
Some say "she/her when they think female" and
Some say nothing when they think they are 3rd gender

This is a highly politically incorrect assumption you're making, that there are only three gender identifications available.
In this 21st Century, such -ist attitudes can only hinder the individual's ability to attain their full life potential, by presenting themselves to the rest of the world as they truly are and in the right category.

Some say "he/him when they think MALE" and
Actually, I usually say "he/him" when I think "indeterminate gender" since the gender-neutral masculine form is well-established in English, eg, "actor" may refer specifically to males in contrast to "actress" but is also the accepted gender-neutral form. While the singular "they/them" goes back a long way, it was never very popular until the feminazis recently overpowered the grammar Nazis for pronoun supremacy. I'm somewhat old-fashioned, so I've always sided with the grammar Nazis is this battle, but I'll still admit that singular "they" is better than "he/she" or worse "(s)he", which is really just a cop-out for indecisive writers who don't want to pick sides.

Now, at least tell us your gender so that we can identify appropriately.  :D
It's not their job to help you pick an appropriate pronoun. If you need help, Fowler's Dictionary has an excellent enumeration of the pros and cons of each, in the entry for "they, them, their".

Note #1: Please mind that if you confirm your gender as FEMALE then we may start flirting with you guys.  ;)
The mere fact that someone is female does not give you permission to make unwanted sexual advances towards her. >:(

You sure about that?
If you don't mind please quote one of those posts  :D
You might find that he/she was trying to be sarcastic since some people may have tried to address her/him in the past as a lady.

Theymos has already confirmed the Gender of Lauda in one of his post's. Hope we could keep this as an official proof of her being a female! ???

Damn, I'm found out. While personally training Lauda in the dark arts of forum moderation, we fell deeply in love. I couldn't bear to see her endure the torture of trust drama while doing unspeakable deeds for me, so I invented this complicated algorithm as an excuse to add her back in even though I could've just unilaterally added her to DT at any second. Truly, my cowardice knows no bounds.

About LoyceV he is most probably according to my observation a male. But who knows it could be a heterosexuality issue too. Just kidding.

Really this is a personal question and I believe it should not be on public if they don't like. However I am pretty much sure about Lauda, since admin himself mentioned her on his post.

Not sure about LoyceV, most likely he/she is Alien  ;).

I have doubts also about Suchmoon  ;) because CH always mentioned her, on the other hand I have seen also someone mentioned to CH her. So both person is confuse ;D

If in doubt, I'll call anyone "her", Ms Coolcryptovator ;)

As for CH, there was some reason - which I don't remember now - why I was quite certain it's a "she". Then "she" had a bit of a masculine meltdown (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5116287.msg50010696#msg50010696) so I'm no longer certain.

Right, back on topic. Until this thread I didn't know that Loyce is a girl's name in some cultures. Live and learn.

You're spelling it wrong:

I assume they want to stay anonymous but revealing their gender won't make a difference I believe.
I never made my gender a secret. In fact, I confirmed it last Monday in the KYC form, which, unfortunately, wasn't uploaded.

This reminds me of the good old days at Rollin.io (https://rollingames.wordpress.com/chatbot/), where ChatBot answered ~ud Loyce far too many times.

Loycev called as forum's AI
This was debunked when hell froze over:
You can all stop speculating, after KYC has been implemented, I am now officially Verified human (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5124947.msg50403762#msg50403762) :D

Not mentioning the gender in their profile doesn't mean they are anonymous or probably not willing to reveal their gender. For instance theymos didn't mention in his gender, does that mean he is a female or one among the many gender identities prevailing in this earth?

This quote from LoyceV could certainly be enough to prove their gender identity

This time, I asked my wife to make the prediction: $7,800.
I tried to convince her otherwise, as it's very close to butka and AlcoHoDL, but she's sure about it Cheesy

P.S Why should they confirm their gender and what it has so with their account? If they are a female, will you be rude over them or willing to overpower them? A male dominant mindset is not good!

If one doesn't know the opposite party gender in a public discussion forum, mentioning them as 'they, them, their's' would be appropriate.

I too refuse to give up my grammar Nazi ways in favor of the FemiNazi craze.

It's becoming a more common phenomenon to use these terms when the gender isn't specified, and that's fine with me.  Languages evolve, and this is one case where it seems to be happening more quickly than usual.

I usually will use the he/she type pronouns, but if someone indicates to me he finds that offensive I make a concerted effort to respect his wishes.

Is there anything wrong with being a feminist?

People are not necessarily rude based on gender, but behaviors do shift.

As asche said, what's wrong in being a feminist? I am not a feminist though, but large parts of the world are still not treating male and female equally and that's what I am talking about.

Rude could be a pretty much mistaken word in this discussion, but overpowering is common all over the world.

I don't support it. We live in a society where we demand equal rights and opportunities for everyone yet we support radicalization of a particular gender? It will derail the topic if we continue to argue on this one.

People are not necessarily rude based on gender, but behaviors do shift.
The behavior shifting happens both ways, positive and negative.

I like the way you phrased that.  This isn't the appropriate section for a discussion on gender identity politics and so forth, but the concept that there are more than two genders, aside from the rare events like hermaphroditism, is bizarre to me.  The importance people place on gender nowadays is equally bizarre--and though I'm actually curious as to whether Lauda is male or female, it's really not that important on a forum where the only thing you know someone by is their words on a screen.

I do suspect Lauda is male, based on the content of his/her posts but I certainly could be wrong.  Same thing for Loyce, but for me it's harder to tell in his/her case.

And hey, this is the world of bitcoin.  A lot of folks want to remain as anonymous as they can get, and that's definitely the case with Lauda, who's given no personal information about them that I've ever seen.  I respect that, and I've never pried.

I agree, a single piece of personal information can be used against someone in this kind of world. Even though gender is not enough data, by combining all raw and small data can form an information that someone can use for certain activities.

Leaned it from school.

When I started with crypto, I used a random name generator and ended up with Loyce Valenzuela. It took me a while before I realized it's a women's name. More specific: according to Google image search it's a black women's name.

It's been more than 4 years, and the name has grown on me :D

No one gives info out in the public, but giving out your name, addresses, telephone number and other privacy related things to a trustworthy member for shipping or other similar stuffs is good to go. I have seen people involved in collectibles and hardware section buying and selling stuffs and handing out their Name, addresses, telephone number etc. If the user is proven to be trustworthy, you can give away personal information about yours, that shouldn't be a problem actually.

Even Lauda buys stuffs from this forum, that doesn't mean they could be doxxed! If you trust a person with your privacy, you don't need to get back in exposing yourself.

But the problem is that, those trustworthy members turn greedy sometimes and threaten to reveal their privacy. There are lots of cases which happened back in the forum.

I like the way you phrased that.  This isn't the appropriate section for a discussion on gender identity politics and so forth,
Yes, thanks for pointing out. While I was typing I was reluctant enough to post this considering that it might become off topic. My post was partially off topic and an on topic post.

Yes, if my partner and I decided to finally make it official, he would be my husband. Would people be confused on my gender if I started calling him my husband?  :D To be quite frank, with this explosion of gender identity titles, I'm getting confused on what I am.  I was happy with being part of the LGBT community. Now the acronym is gaining so many letters, I just can't keep up.
