Title: What people do to make their altcoins popular?
Post by: shield132 on April 15, 2019, 09:19:28 PM
It's clear that every developer and team behind project want to make their own coin more and more popular but what they do for it? Lately as I see everyone tries to create dice website specially for their own coin.
What do you think, is this good strategy? Why don't they try to make shopping website which only supports their coin? Or something similar of ebates? Why only dice when there is huge demand on shops too.

I don't think dice websites can bring too much people to use that coin, i think maybe more advertising also on social media or some bounties can bring more people to use their altcoins.

to make a coin more popular, I think it is necessary to implement it on things that are considered important in life, and the scope can cover all walks of life. I think the dice website is not good, because only a few circles like it. I am more amenable to shopping websites, this covers all circles, and can be very much needed

I don't think to create dice website is an effective strategy to make their altcoins popular. Not all people are interested in dice website. So, I think it is better to strengthen their community or improve the quality and usefulness of their product [if they have products]. FYI, I see some projects can be successful to make their altcoins popular through giveaways, competition, or airdrops that they provide to their communities.

many ways to introduce coins to the outside world, or besides crypto markets. as you mentioned, dice is also a good method. other than that there are other gambling sites that can be used, or maybe you can go to shopping centers or big shops.

Each of them have their own freedom of crowd-sourcing or bandwagonning strategy. Some are using advertisements and I have seen some also of what you said like building a gambling site a way to gather more people volume and then followed by endorsing their coin to make volume of it since they are popular already. Its just a matter of strategy.

helping to expand the knowledge about the project and the currency, talking about it in social networks, making known the product and the utility it has, participating in its events or social networks, besides sharing its publications, I think that all this helps make a coin popular

They are making a project that they believe they can manage and can grow it.
Whether it's for gambling or for shopping, or etc, that depends on the developer and of course depends on how people will see it.
If investors (people) like the concept, they will certainly support it by buying the coin and unfortunately, not all projects are supported, so some will fail.

Not really a good way if you want to make your coin/token popular. The best thing to do to make your altcoin popular are bounty campaigns which you get the help of the community, in that way you can have as many as promoter around the world. And another thing would be costly but the effect would be great, hire a famous youtuber to promote your project.

Introducing altcoin more broadly so in this way altcoin will be more widely known and promote it more intensively, there are many types of altcoins so you have to be smart to promote it so that it will be more widely known and more will invest in the altcoin

A good project is not a team that makes their coin popular, but products or services they offer make it popular.

For dice website, they chose to work easily and quickly, make community dice, and them coin as a payment platform.

This strategy is not going to make their coins much popular or much to be used, they will just waste time and money by doing it.But they can promote their coins from their own or even can run bounty by spending their money which also happened few times.

To create a marketplace that accepts our crypto will not so easy like build a dice site dude. you must consider about how you can deliver the stuff that already bought by customer and a lot of things need to be considered. But those are creating dice game for their own crypto try to take a simple way to make their coin becomes popular without consider a lot of things.

the only correct way of making a new coin popular and keep it popular is to innovate and create something useful. but unfortunately that almost never happen among altcoins so they have to succumb to cheap tactics of fooling people into getting hyped and buying their shitcoin to pump it. and to do that they usually spend a lot of money advertising the token and spend a lot of money pumping the coin and all of that lats for a short time.

as for the method you mentioned, i don't think it works because we already have a lot of good gambling sites, people aren't going to buy a shitcoin just because they can gamble it since there is no lack of such sites.

Make marketplace that use token as payment maybe not really easy as they look. Because in some countries, they must make their coin legal first, and then need supplier for anything that they sell, and then a lot of things must be done before open marketplace like that.

It is a strategy from the developer, as long as it does not violate the law and rules then it is fine. for me promotion is important in developing a coin. Many coins failed due to lack of promotion, and many coins were successful when the developer made the right promotion. So let's think carefully, every developer will definitely do their best for the development of their coins.

Promote their own project, advertising on popular crypto website and also develop the project of that altcoin.

I think if the project is really good and the team can develop the project to become more better, it will makes the price of the altcoin increase and it makes the coin become popular too.

Even with their own dice website they still need the social media to get their project more popular both advertisement can make a project to be popular. It is very clear that most project die or failed because poor of advertisement and lack of investors, which ever way a project can be promoted to gain more popularity it should be accepted.

People resort to many ways to make their altcoins popular. First, they make some campaign to popularize their altcoins. We know that campaigns can be promoted very well. So people are popular in their altcoins because of campaigning. People also promote promotions about their altcoin in various media. In this way, people popularized their altcoin. Altcoins are also popular in many ways. As can be popularized by giving some altcoin free at first. It's a very special way.

Thank you

for the team really need to be very careful about advertising their project. First of all, you need to explain not only your goal, but also the relevance of it to the public. This will greatly affect the investment attractiveness. But as for all users of cryptocurrency, with their best altcoin they can only help with good investments, which in any case leads to an increase in the price of coins.

Dice game is easy to make you can copy paste the code as well. I will stay away from such projects. If you are really into it check if the have something else and dice is just entertainment.

I was in some projects that had this dice game but they are all dead.

Lately i see rain channels are popular among new project to make some marketing. Rains some coin in order to get some task from the users that participate. If they are serious they will offer many ways to promote the projects and not only dice game.

I strongly  believe if you have a good product and something to show for it your ico would be popular, in this month alone i cant count the ico that sold out in 1-5secs during IEO and the only reason i think that is happening is because they have a good project and project people believe in

Every coin in the coinmarketcap or the market is the best coin you can buy because all coins will increase although we don't know how higher the price can go. But it depends on how much money you have and make sure that before you buy any coins, you should analyze and decide to buy a cheap coin or expensive coins so you can directly buy the coins (https://coinswitch.co/). And don't forget to not buy the coin with all in of your money because you need to have free money in your balance to prevent if there are any down for the price so you can buy more the coin.

Creating an altcoin projecf us like building a startup in the conventional business model. It takes leadership and vision to scale through and be a force that many will be eager to reckon with. So at it is in conventional model, so it's in this industry. Apart from having a good business plan, it takes leadership skills, managerial skills and marketing skills in order to be at the top. Ripple, Ethereum and Tron are rocking it than others

You obviously need to look online and see Bitcoin shopping. It's way, way bigger than gambling. Yes, gambling with Bitcoin was the majority of usage back in the day but come on, just google buy with bitcoin or pay with bitcoin and you might be surprised to see what you can do.

Shop? Food? Bills? Travel? It's not just about dice and poker my friend. Even though I like using bitcoin on dice;)

But yes, for alts? They shouldn't really try to compete with bitcoin as a shopping currency.

Maybe that is the only way and chance for them to attract more investor. The gambling business was an increase in a few years ago, and with the cryptocurrency available for betting, I think the developer wants to see how big the impact to their project if they create a project in the gambling industry. They see that gambling industry can give more profit because there are many people are trying to playing gambling with crypto and if they can contribute with their token then the chance to see their token increase will bigger.

There have been projects that do introduce their own coin that can be used on their own website but not exactly as in the real online websites like Amazon or even ebay while some coins are made so they can be integrated as a payment option. Dice websites are the most popular ones and hence to earn profit the best way, project managers introduce one. Also, crypto and gambling go hand-in-hand.

Yes, because by advertising all products easier and faster for people to know, especially in highly developed media, some projects use signature systems on social media Facebook and Instagram because of their greater potential. To be popular, of course, every coin must be more quality and easy to use for everyone.

Yes, it is advertising and, accordingly, the bounty program will be able to attract the target audience to any truly interesting platform. It is obvious that the crypto community is very large and therefore not interesting and not in demand altcoins will not be in demand. Therefore, in addition to advertising, the team that created this altcoin should work hard.

to be popular is easy, only listings in large markets like binance or bittrex. but that doesn't guarantee that the coin will last. what is needed now is not popularity, but a way to survive. You know there are too many altcoins at the moment and every project must have a resemblance. so instead of thinking of ways to be popular, it's better to focus on development. so that the platform is superior.

Exactly that improving is what makes one coin popular. It`s every day job! Blockchain is evolving project, everyday
we are seeing something new. Forks, upgrades, wallets, project needs to be in relationship with community. They need
to update community with their progress and plans regularly. There isn`t other way for new projects to attract people.

If it was a good step, most would not die. I do not think shopping will make a big difference. They need to think more creatively and differently. So, if you want to make the project big, you should do more remarkable and useful work.

Dice sites are probably easy to develop and the marketing is also easy I believe because everyone wants to multiply the coins fast... That's the greed.

Shopping websites won't help much until they have the capability to create hype.
As an example, Storiqa is one of the failed projects I've seen and it is no way able to reach to the ICO price again. I lost all of my investment, it's my fault, I haven't researched anything before investing.

Maybe dice will somehow help their coin but they need to make their dice more attractive and appealing to players, that will be a demand for the coin but to use for shopping online its not for them alone to decide, if merchants do not trust their cons then they will for sure not accept their coins or use their coins as payment. They can improve the project in which the coins were made for and make some promotions, make noise in social medias and more advertisements.

The popularity of altcoins depend most times on the strength of the team and the vastness of the community.
Every developer knows where best he can function or let me say his area of specialization.
There are already some coins that have bee applied on online shopping and are doing greatly well, but I think developers going for dice or games are looking for easiest means of applying their coin.

Now it's hard to come up with something new. And many want to get their tidbit from the crypto cake. So they create for the thousandth time another casino or exchange that nobody needs. Collect investors' money and steal them.
Then everything repeats again.

It is a double purpose for them, they earn through making a dice site because it seems to be in demand for them. They earn through the house edge and at the same time they are the developer of that token. And I think, dice site is all the choice they have because of quick phasing.

Creating shopping websites that implements only their coin is hard to begin with. They need to established first before the people can trust it with real goods transactions. Unlike with dice, we all look to it as something for leisure and it doesn't matter if we win or lose. But I like the idea of creating other genre for the application of tokens created.

Creating dice site for altcoin will absolute attract crypto gambler community and it will make the altcoin popular among this community moreover if they have good platform. But, not everyone who using crypto is gambler and willing to do gambling. So it is not very effective to attract the whole crypto community, I would say that Airdrop is better way to introduce their platform and their coin. No one will say no to a free coin, eventhough it only few dollars.

Maybe what you are seeing are tokens intended for gambling. But there are other tokens intended for other purposes like healthcare, loans, finance, exchanges, etc.

They get popular because they have excellent service. There are some shortcuts they can take like pumping the price to make incite hype. But those types of tactics don't make the coin last.

if the team wants to create good coins in the market, then the team must pay attention to these 3 points :
1. The team must have a big partner.
2. choose a large market to register coins.
3. The team must have good loyalty and commitment to the project they hold.

They might not gain much of popularity through shopping site, because when it comes to shopping site, it requires the sales of products. Some of these coins have similar products they offer and all trying to get the attention of the same customer.

The only thing a particular project can do using a shopping site to gain popularity is to create such coin and partner with already existing shopping sites but I doubt if anyone of them will accept since Bitcoin is still the most accepted coin, so they will rather deal with BTC than any other coin. The only option still left is to create a dice website.

Moreover, there are already lots of online shopping sites that accepts only cryptocurrency as a mode of payment, but how many of them have you seen are successful yet ? Okay, maybe Overstock and Purse.io, but others are not. So if all coins are going to be focusing on that, trust me it is not going to work. For any project that they are working on to be successful they will have to put their focus on creating a project that is very unique. There are already lots of copied projects and we don’t need anymore of that.

The things that they make their altcoins popular is by advertising and improve their project, so that people would be interested to invest in their project and gain more popularity. It is also the reason why bitcoin and other top cryptocurrencies have huge prices because they have improve and by the advertisement they see in social media like youtube, facebook, twitter, and etc. Right now, I am also looking for a great trading platform who could easily convert my fiats into bitcoin and vice versa, then i started to found Darb (https://darbfinance.com/?=crowd) finance where it is an good exchange and a wallet at the same time that i highly recommend you to use this for trading.

A coin can be more popular, just by promoting it. A project to be promoted must solve a real problem. Also, the project must be guided by an experienced team in the field, with well-structured ideas in a whitepaper.
A project can only be promoted if the project fixes its future objectives in a realistic and correct way.

I think the development team of a platform or a project will try to have another round of bounty program so that they can gain more supporters, investors and the people will gonna join with it can help them grow their community. Some people are trying to have some forks or tokens swap so that their project/s will have some updates and they try to post it in their social media accounts or in their telegram channel/s.

the only way is promotion and listings on large markets. we take the example of a project that does an IEO, they are popular because they sell early tokens in large Exchange like binance. no matter what the project has a purpose, if both of these things have been done even shitcoin can be popular.

There is also huge demand in dice games, in fact, it is more profitable than online shopping, a player will always come back to play dice but there is no guaranty on a shopping site that it can maintain the sales and besides shopping face a tough competition than dice games.

I think its much more easy to make a site like that  than shop or somthink like that then they will need much more money and technical team to make online shop so dont think you need make vs ,all want make money easy and fastly so one of the way is gambling i mean for site or casino .. owners not players.

Even with their own dice website they still need the social media to get their project more popular both advertisement can make a project to be popular. It is very clear that most project die or failed because poor of advertisement and lack of investors, which ever way a project can be promoted to gain more popularity it should be accepted.
Of course, they now that they cannot do without advertisement, even with the creation of a dice website, they will still do the advertisement for sure to get people to know about the website, but advert is not enough if there is nothing to do with the coin.

The reason they create dice website is because gambling has a way of getting people’s attention more than e-commerce sites, if they give you the statistics of those that are interested in gambling, you will be shocked at the figure, so the best way to get their coin useful is to create a dice website that will at least attract many people that are interest in participating in free things.

Some team create not just a dice but an exchange of their own to make their coin more popular. There are different things that people do to make their altcoins popular. One of which is bounties but it has a quite backfire too. If the one who conducts bounty did not fulfill their promises to the bounty hunters, they will do all their best to knock down the project and it is terrifying because there are thousands of bounty hunters.

Not at all, the best way to make a coin popular is team's active marketing, participation and communication to community, and development  a project without real product won't survive the market.
That is right; any project that is sure of its product doesn’t have to go through a dice site to make its project popular, a good project has a way of showcasing itself to the world through a very simple advert, no matter the medium used.

Just like you said, the team must really be hardworking to really survive in this market that is so full of lots of competition, and in order for them to stand out among other projects, they need to put all their focus and strength in creating a product that will be very high in demand for it to really gain a very fast attraction to the community.

If the supporters keep joining into the community, i think the coin will become popular.
The dev of the coin must thinking the strategy to achieve this, such as holding contest, airdrops, meetup, etc.

I saw that a lot happened, a lot of coins made dice websites so that on the website required to use the coin. This is a strategy for each coin developer. Coin developers will try to be more varied in conducting promotions on the coins they have.

This is a natural thing, every developer will maximize the opportunities that exist and when developers do it by working hard, it is certain that coin developers are serious in developing the coins they have.

Well, one thing we should know is that there is now a very big competition in the market, and it can never be as it used to be in time past when you don't need to spend so much in promoting a project since the project available in the market were very little. Now one have to spend a lot of funds on digital marketing on youtube and other crypto platforms that accept crypto ad, without availability of fund, I can assure that the project is going nowhere.

To make coins popular they must develop their coins. I made something that made the price of their coins rise so much that people were interested in buying and even saving their coins for the long term. certainly not easy and requires a lot of capital to develop their coins but the benefits will be greater than the capital issued if their coins become popular.

There needs to be a balance of technology, community, and marketing for something to become wildly successful. Leaning too hard on the tech and not marketing properly or leaning entirely on marketing without the project itself having any substance are both recipes for disaster.

Sometimes shitcoins get more popular than a developed cryptos which is happening due to those coins getting listed on big exchanges so if a project team want to make their coin more popular and more demandable then it should be listed on binance.

Well for me, if some team want to make their altcoin at top of the list, they should work hard. Believe me whenever someone is interested to buy altcoin, him or here search. The team is reviewed, the projects and development scope is measured and compared with different highly ranked coins. So even before advertising war, go for your strong work. Only this would let your coin in the high demands in market.

The key is in marketing, companies spend big bucks to get their ads all over online platforms.  Facebook makes most of their money from ads, thats how powerful they are.  Companies are even willing to pay millions of dollars for a short superbowl commercial.  That should give you an idea on how valuable advertising is to your business.

You can group up with specific parties to achieve a wider community.

Or if your goals (white papers) embrass a much large investors amount your altcoin will become much more popular as it will be spread out quicker.

promotion might be the only way to make this coin a hype. but this method can only be for the short term, sooner or later in the end the coin will disappear too, because the project does not develop. so actually the best and easiest way is to accelerate the development of the platform, maybe this seems slow but the long-term impact can be felt. the coin will survive because it has a platform that is already operating.

I think that in part they don't have enough money to do such things. That is the only way they can do to advertise their ICO. In fact, there are very few good ICOs. So it's hard to see the difference between good icos and scam icos. That makes investors and bounty hunters headaches

I think if I make a coin then I have to make a lot of websites and software and even android/ios apps. because if there is a lot of places where they can use the coin then they are going to take it and trade it. you can not just wait for people to see your coin you have to make the demand in the market yourself. make your coin useful and that will give you 10times more profit then what you get from the advertisement. for example, take freebitco. it was started at like 2010 and it is still running and making profits.

Any project that wishes to be very successful should have a very vital and potential product that will announce it name, if the product can be good and competitive enough, then they don’t need to stress too much about its popularity, the users thieves are the ones that will automatically make such product popular beyond human reasoning.

Obviously what the developer has to do is try to match the rodmap they have made before so that people will see if the project is going well because in my opinion the project that is not in accordance with Rodmap then proves that the developer is not competent.
so as much as possible before making a schedule, first think of the capabilities of the developers and market conditions.

Of course the most important are promotions, both in the digital world such as social media and conventional media, because promotion is the most effective way to introduce new coins and benefit from investors who want to buy their coins.
So the application in implementing their road map must always be in line with current economic conditions so as not to be too ambitious so that the end result is not successful. But if everything is in accordance with the stage and the developer provides a realistic goal, it will definitely succeed and become a popular coin, for example ETH, EOS and LTC.

Unlike dice games/gambling games there's definitely a lot of addicted players and many people are getting tempted to play because it's a matter of win and lose unlike shopping the only good thing with that is the rebate and sales and if they're going to have their own coin it should be a stable coin and since the buyer would probably be irritated of the prices changes from time to time.

A lot of it is about timing, Dogecoin wouldn't gain the same traction if it was launched today.  As much as I'm against dogecoin and would never invest in it there is a decent size community and its actively traded on a lot of exchanges.

Next is marketing.  This is the most powerful tool to pump up a price of a coin and you need wealthy individuals backing your project to pay these massive costs.

True that, it's really hard to create something that is going viral, especially when the competition is huge. Altough i've been doing research recently about cryptocurrencies going hard into sports world by signing huge sponsorship deals. It's a very costful way to promote yourself but it  gives you a landmark on something physical, like a sports kit, or a bolid.

Yes the support of the community which includes the big companies behind them. DENT isn't really pumping but the people and companies supporting it are the biggest because telco are also using the project. Making the project popular including getting support from big companies. Doge was one of the very first coins in crypto which had lived and were supported by great number of traders thus have a volume.

Probably they simply advertise these projects and pretend that people are interested in these projects, this is how people today are trying to make money, manipulating public opinion. Yet it should help in the sale.

In my ow opinion, the best way to promote the altcoins more popular is to have a bounty program or airdrop. In this way, there will be people that will help them spread the good news about their project, make them some vlogs , videos, and articles, and it can help them gain some people in their community.

Because gambling has always been popular and it is like a drug from which it is impossible to break away. In order to earn it the easiest way, a store or trading platform using your own token requires a lot more cost and there is a possibility that it is not needed by anyone at the moment.

to make a coin more popular, I think it is necessary to implement it on things that are considered important in life, and the scope can cover all walks of life. I think the dice website is not good, because only a few circles like it. I am more amenable to shopping websites, this covers all circles, and can be very much needed
yes that is true with the existence of shopping sites most likely can be reached by various groups of people, different from the dice site looks like centralized or only a few who can reach it. besides, of course the team must be able to do other ways so that their coins are popular or easily known by others.

I agree with you, the market is already oversaturated with various dice projects. In my opinion they became so numerous that they can change every day. Instead, it is better to do real things, I think that the creation of a trading platform like ebay or amazon, where you can pay for goods with the help of cryptocurrency will be a real breakthrough for the popularization of cryptocurrencies.

The success of the project will always depend to it's marketing success. Don't you ever think that you can widen your project without proper marketing because in the end, I am pretty sure that your project will just fail.

Whatever is your target platform to develop, it is better that you will gather the best team to carry the utmost marketing for your platform in order to achieve your goal. Marketing will gather your supporters, hype your project in order to reach almost all your target customers, investors and etc.

I believe that good contact with community is the best way to do so. Dash is an excellent example of this. Listening to voice of actual crypto owners not only will assure that they will stay with it but also will attract new people - sometimes new solutions implemented that way are very interesting. For example, FuturoCoin is now adding new masternode system - it will generate passive income for masternode owners, which will definitely be attractive also for new users.

I completely agree - we are now all around hype and attention, and marketers are the ones who add this attention. Projects need an intelligent team to make a product interesting to a wide audience.

There are different ways to popularize an own project: social media marketing including bounty campaigns, airdrops and refferals; meetups and conferences; making own apps and even IEOs. The most important thing, after all, will be the final product.

I think that the best way to attract customers is make them part of a crypto. For instance CryptoGamble  (https://www.cryptogamble.com/casino?category=hot)has launched their affiliate program and it's really nice thing for any of their user to take part in. You can simply earn some money there without getting into trouble.

I think what people do in order to make their altcoins popular and make people invest in their coin is letting them know what their coin does and the way it is being advertised in different social media platforms is also a good way. And here in this site, for example, the bounties or projects can get popular if the bounty manager who handles it has a good background of good campaigns.

What do developers and creators of altcoins to help them become popular? They create bounty, invite people to promote their coins and altcoins. Also their bought advertising and different websites and social media platforms like Twitter, Facebook, Instagram.

I liked to think that communities help developing some projects, but sometimes they don't, and i think it's very improtnat to support each other in cryptoworld. Speaking of FuturoCoin team, they are doing pretty decent job with promoting their altcoin, not only making this masternode changes, for example they recently signed a huge sponsor ship deal with one of the Formule 1 teams: https://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20190205005454/en/FuturoCoin-Unveiled-Partner-Aston-Martin-Red-Bull

I've senn many examples of altcoins sponsoring some sports teams or sports in general like Litecoin for example

I guess they will make several advertising in many websites about their coin.
Holding press conference will creating more awareness to many peoples, which is good to make your altcoin popular.
anyway, the developers of the coin will have to do some marketing activities to gain popularity.

I think the best answer here is the marketing strategist and also the advertisers as well as the bounty hunters. They have all the skills that can make a specific project or specific altcoins popular. There are so many project owners doing this type of strategy so that it will lessen their time in promoting and focus on the project.

I don’t understand why it makes sense to create projects with an idea whose analogs already exist for several dozen. In my opinion it is stupid to do. I never invest in a new project to create a regular exchange or casino.

Altcoin is a quite broad term - each one can be little different. There are coin which have been made by some independent designers without money who are "advertising" their product only on some forums and reddit. But they are also companies with nice budget which are launching big campaigns.

buying coins without an inquiry I think is stupid, because investigating a coin that we want to buy is very important because it is also for the future of our investment. if you are lazy to investigate it would be nice to choose a coin that is trusted and many devotees or we can see in the coinmarketcap.

Advertising is one of the ways to make the altcoins popular.

If the people is holding a coin and they trust for it but it is not popular then the holder must help the team of the altcoin thru continuous advertising. In this way, many people will be curious about the coin and will try to do some research on it.

Bounty campaigns, airdrops that is the way how people could help altcoin to become popular. It is win win situation for both sides.
Bounty participants earn something.
Developers get attention and more users, the value of altcoin will grow.

No, I think it's not a good strategy anymore, because we have had enough of it already.
Too many people doing the same thing makes it worthless.
Why don't they try to make shopping website which only supports their coin? Or something similar of ebates? Why only dice when there is huge demand on shops too.
This could be a better idea, but the goods being offered on the shop must be flashy and original. Goods that you don't find so easily, and if possible for a cheaper price than in other shops.
There is only one negative point about it: most crypto enthusiasts looking for altcoins, might live in foreigner countries, so there are extra costs for them when shopping, that can make this idea not work properly. Virtual goods fit better the idea. Also, the shop should be popular to keep a flux of money and the currency alive.

As a rule, to promote their Altcoins, many conduct bounty and airdrop programs. In addition, you need to hire a person who would support the activity in groups in social networks. In principle, due to the real impact on any project of a strong community, the team of any altcoin should not save on marketing.

Only original projects are able to attract investors and get money for their development. Therefore, I would not pay attention to a project that repeats someone else's idea.

This topic is concerning the demand versus supply in the specific industry. Shopping websites are famous and they are used for buying the gift card of big online shopping sites. Almost all crypto shopping projects copy paste from each other. Gambling websites are trying hard to raise awareness about their new crypto payment model with adding new features to the site.

Most of the time it is the community members who contribute in making the project popular by sharing good news about the project. It is worthy to know that, this will only happen if the project has given good reasons why it is worth sharing and once this is done the project and as such the altcoin will start getting the right attention.

Hmm, it's good strategy but it will works if that dice site already popular and have a big community inside. If the dice site is still new and already make their own coin, usually it will not works because the amount of player is really low. If the project is really good, people will look into it.

Dice site not bringing a lot of popularity for particular coins, but some people like stuff like this so projects try to cover this field too. The more useful thing for coins is increasing community. It good thing when projects launched giveaways or some competition for community, that makes token more popular.

What a coin is used for is not the only criterion that makes it popular. There are other factors.
Marketing is one of the most effective methods of making a coins to be popular and if it is done effectively, it will serve its purpose.
Marketing also without a very solid product will only end up making the coin a shitcoins after the hype expires, the first thing a project needs to do is to polish their product very well, and make sure it meets the quality that will make it to continue to thrive in the market.

if they market a product that is not going to be an acceptable one to the public, they might get the hype from the beginning, but people will not take the project serious and it will result to quick dumping that will make one become a bag holder of the coin, so developers must first pay strict attention to the product the project is coming out with first.
