Briefly described
Protect is a coin where the community decides which feature should be the main objective.
It should help curious people to deal with things and to realize their own ideas.

Protect is designed to protect the interests of the community. And should not make a big profit. There are enough black sheep.

Imagine they have an idea for mining, such as the Clash Project (Implication of a New Algo - CN AscendingNight Recently). The idea is great, but it can not be changed without help. First, there are the vultures who want to profit from it. That's exactly what shooters should prevent.

You have an idea, but you can not change it immediately.
This project helps you. Whether in the pool installation or even with problems with the coin.
The basic idea is that the community helps each other, Protect serves as a vehicle for implementation. And to form a fund. For solo minign or even merged mining.

kinda hard to ask question when your discord keeps kicking ppl out. i personally was kicked out 4 times

 dude just letting you know. am not sure if its you guys doing it or a glitch with your thread but it kicks me out approximately 10-15 mins after joining each time. then i used an alt to join and that was kicked out after about 30 mins. So its what it is.

Is this a real project? Or is this a joke? I can`t believe that this is a good name .........

 I would advise everyone to be careful with this team. i was also kicked out of discord for no reason, then  i joined back in, ran an errand and when i came back, my acct has been kicked out again. In order for the daemon to run, you have to addnodes with cmd prompt. He had another coin from November 2018, and the github for that coin has been deleted. That usually means that something shady must have occurred.

 There is no reason for anyone to hate on this guy for forking a forked coin. There is literally nothing here from a technical standpoint. This forum is littered with similar forks. Anyway, do your own research and thread carefully. You won't even be able to ask a question on discord cos they randomly kick out accts. Its the same five-six accts that have stayed present on discord.

 So, thread carefully and if you must download the wallet, utilize virtualbox or something similar or preferably wait for them to create a stable wallet where you don't have to add anything thru command prompt. Again, thread carefully cos something seem really fishy and suspicious about this group. Take care

This is wrong, with this coin, a new algo was implemented, this is still in clash project. Unfortunately it did not work to implement it in xmrig. Fortunately, Github is transparent, so that this is understandable.
There is nothing spoiled or anything else. It was just a project. Bitsream was the first with this ALGO project.Bitstream got rebranded to TAX.
Thus, the now-how is constantly being improved and mistakes reduced

Edit: AscendingNight is similar to CryptoNight (same scratchpad implode and explode) but it utilizes a different main algorithm. While CryptoNight uses one aes step every second step, AscendingNight uses one AES every fourth step, has some substitutional parts and things like that to perform less calculations for more memory intesety.
In our private testing we came across performance boosts of 10% to 30% on Ryzen CPUs and up to 100% on older i7s.
Since the memory utilisation is still the same, the algorithm is just as fast on GPU (mathematically speaking, not tested yet).

The thing with Heavy mentioned, light and fast is just that, similar to CryptoNight, you can apply all the causal variations like CN-Heavy on AN as well (since it's just changing memory and iteration variables).

The point with the reference implementation of AscendingNight is that, while it's modular, it's still using 2MB as a scratchpad size and 2^14 iterations to increase the speeds of the validation process.
By increasing the iteration number to the casual CryptoNight step count of 2^20 you'd see an even higher boost in the performance of CPUs compared to GPUs.

The important changes were done in the posr_aes macro. It can be found in here:
