Elon Musk showed love for Ethereum today by tweeting about it. Funny thing is Justin Sun replied to the tweet saying Tron and Bitconnect lol.

Can you provide the link that will be directed me to the elon's tweet? Im so glad to see that if elon is more interested with ether rather than tron. Tron is such garbage caused by it has created a partnership with scam company like tether.

With these Silicon Valley types, if they're tweeting about a cryptocurrency, it means they've already invested and they're talking their book to their fan base (of several million in the case of Elon Musk).

I wonder if this means a bit of a bull run for Ether.

the opinion of the stars makes crypto more popular. but i think they should hold back with mood swindle ;)

Still tether is widely used stable altcoin, why use it if it's scam?  people make it where it is and then they call it 'scam'.

I don't know what the people think it'll happen because somebody this famous is shilling a coin. Will the coin get better? No. A temporary pump could happen? Possibly. But at the end it'll all settle down like nothing has happened. And then why bother? As you said: "tomorrow" there may be just another coin.

Ethereum is definitely a sleeping giant and the favorite coin of whales and big investors, Elon Musk has also expressed his hot favorite altcoin by tweeting Ethereum so i assume it is the beginning some big rally or bull trwnd for ethereum which can be very exciting for eth holders.

You are totally right, he is kinda funny billionaire and everyone loves him.
But when he mentioned ethereum, seems it doesn't really work as ethereum didn't get a significant positive movement. Does it mean he can't really pump or have a significant influence to the crypto market?

I don't know if a tweet that only reads "Ethereum" shows love for the coin or even for crypto in general.
The whole thing could have been a joke just to see how many people will jump on to it...

But what was most notable in this odd Twitter interaction, as pointed out by Ether proponent Anthony Sassano, was the effect it had on Google Trends. At the exact moment that Musk issued the tweet seen above, the short-term search interest for “Ethereum” skyrocketed. The thing is, the Tesla chief has a hefty 26.2 million followers, most of which are either unaware of cryptocurrencies or aren’t keeping up to date with the latest news in the realm of Ethereum.

It looks like he was mildly trolling, but it's good that Etherem is getting this type of attention from tech leaders. Vitalik's reply was pretty good. What would be cool is for Tesla to incorporate a cryptocurrency into its vehicles for payments.

Yeah, That would be cool! But unlikely, If Elon was interested in providing cryptocurrency payments he would have added when buying a Tesla car, I hope he adds it ASAP.

I don't get it why Elon do that? First time he mentioned Doge, now Ethereum. They're totally different coins. Hope that he's not another John McAfee.

What are they doing, both Elon Musk and Vitamin Buterin? With those tweets, they likely boosted the Ethereum with Rocket machines built by SpaceX. Then, the journey of Ethereum too the Moon will become closely and fastly, so we all won't have to wait for too long. It's just early signals that Elon Musk will actually invest in Ethereum. I am waiting for the appearance of Elon Musk in Ethereum devcon in October.

Hahaha, I love this kind of thing,  when guys we are looking up too begins to misbehave and forget that anything they do especially in the Crypto space is going to go viral and everyone would be aware of it including the government of a country, I don't think they know the kind of reputation they have, though to some extent what they are doing is kind of normal because everyone want to showcase their own project and brag that it's the best until they are actually able to get themselves to that stage by working hard.

Hmmm I feel like there would need to be a strong reason to do this. Adding crypto to tesla vehicles just cause its cool wouldnt lead anywhere.

Maybe you could hook up charging stations to the blockchain and pay for charging automatically with crypto? Or if you share data with tesla from your vehicle they give you discounts for their other services and this is all automised through blockchain? Few different ideas.

Man do not believe in any such news until and unless you see it there on Elon’s official Twitter account or hear him speaking about it. Couple of days ago I saw some one claiming that Elon’s favorite coins is Dogecoin and now it is ETH. Try to follow your own mind and ideas about the crypto market. Invest in the best coin that could possibly give back some good return.

It's funny, I don't think it could mean anything serious to cryptocurrencies. For now, it's just his interest in ethereum.
