Well, first Rose Namajunas was a strong-willed fighter in what I have seen and she conquers Joanna Jedrzejczyk 2 times by taking the UFC Women's Strawweight Championship And defending it on a rematch against her and even in circumstances that Jedrzejczyk was taller than her 5 ft 6 in while Namajunas was only 5 ft 5 in But aside from that I really think Namajunas had the guts to really won the title against Jedrzejczyk she has a great Performance back then While Jessica Andrade was beaten by Jedrzejczyk on a title match against the UFC Women's Strawweight Championship So my bet will go to Rose Namajunas Well I guess Andrade has more experience regarding Namajunas 4 matches on Amateur record fights, And 3 Exhibition matches, Well I guess Namajunas can pull out some crazy kicks and lockdown on Andrade.

While on the part on Jared Cannonier Vs Anderson Silva I guess that Cannonier could win this fight because I really think Silva was not so well in the fights anymore after his leg injury to Weidman his career was set back entirely, and his performance was not quite the same in my opinion, I really think that his Injury and his old age was dragging him down.

I admire his passion to this sport. If I am in his shoes I would have retired right away when he suffered that that terrible leg injury because no matter what the doctor says even if they give him a go signal to fight again, his leg was broken, that will keep coming back in his mind and will be careful on his moves and protect his leg.

Is it his first time that he will come to the octagon as an underdog or it happened already when he faced Adesanya?

@YuginKadoya. Do not be so certain on Jared Canonnier. He might begin having weight cutting problems to fight in the middleweight division hehehe.

@nydiacaskey01. Anderson was the underdog versus Israel Adesanya.

@nydiacaskey01. Anderson was the underdog versus Israel Adesanya.
Well I guess he really loves MMA that much that even though he is not head lining the main event, he still takes the fight. I hope he still bring that kind of fight that he has last time when he faced Adesanya. I think that kind of performance will be enough to beat Jared Cannonier.

Interested to see who will win between B.J. Penn vs. Clay Guida. Clay Guida last faught June 2018 and lost to Oliviera. His last win was November 2017 to Lauzon. as for BJ Penn, he is on a losing streak.

I dont find this card to be worthy of PPV material and I was shocked that it was not for free.
With the event being held in Brazil, its easy for UFC to recycle Brazilian has beens- Anderson Silva, Jose Aldo and others.
Many of the matches on the main card are toss up fights and if go to decision, I think Brazil judges will favor the home fighters.
I will be on Thug Rose for a little and possible Anderson Silva too.

Rose Namajunas (+105)vs. Jéssica Andrade (-118)

The odds shows that it will be a tough fight between those two strong woman, both fighters won 6 of their last 7 fights. This makes people confuse which fighter to bet on, any suggestion?

To be honest, I'm not totally a fan of those women UFC fights because I don't even know, maybe because their matches are boring most of the time and the action they made is not so intense compare to men's division. Don't get me wrong, I'm not a sexist or whatsoever. Actually I like it somehow particularly the fights of Rousey and Nuñez.

Anyway, going back to the topic, I choose Namajunas not because of being a champ but because of being down to earth. She is very humble but has a dragon hidden inside of herself and unleash it when she is already inside the octagon. That attitude was so admiring (it made me remember after she destroyed
Jedrzejczyk lol, karma is real).

:)
I don't want to underestimate Silva but this time my inner self tells me to do so. I guess it's the right time for SIlva yo retire because he is not already on his prime. Besides, he already proved to the whole world that he was a legendary fighter, that's not bad at all. I thought that he can still fight inside the octagon but I suddenly change my mind after I watched his loss to Adesanya. Nevertheless, props to this guy :).

Hmm. Hard to see who's going to win but I will go with my boy here Clay Guida, his movement is unbelievable so I think he will used this one to his advantage. BJ Penn should retire, I don't know, he has nothing to proved. He is already a legend and we don't want to see him take more damage at this point of his career. Hope that we will hang his gloves win or lose here.

There's a lot of familiar names in the card. Silva and Penn, aging legends who are still fighting. Not wise to bet with those two as they are really fading and past their primes. Namajunas vs Andrade is a dream match, a technical fighter (Rose) vs a wild and agressive one (Andrade). I'm picking Rose to win by decision.

I don't understand why Anderson Silva isn't retired yet. He is clearly rich, has proven he is one of the best ever, but those people are addicted to competition and being on the spotlight it seems. If he keeps fighting he will end up with brain damage. UFC is a brutal sport, why bother when you can't no longer go for #1 rank and you are already rich and achieved championship belts. He will end up like CroCop.

Anyway, will watch Jose Aldo fight and Silva too of course... but not really excited for this card. I want to see some crazy heavyweight fights this year. I want to see Bones vs Overeem or something like that. Bones need to move up to HW eventually.

Once a champion, always a champion. I think he tries to get his belt back (good luck Silva...).
I think after that KO from Weidman (Silva tried to show off, but Weidman landed straight punch, that turned Silvas light), leg break and number of losses, his mind did not recover.

Would still be great seeing fighters beyond their prime fighting younger fighters at their prime. This will either show what true legends are or if they should just pass the torch to younger fighters and retire. Experience is still an advantage when it comes to fighting. Good luck to Penn and Silva.

Their previous matches really shows that age has caught up with those guys. Maybe they have fights left in their contract. Penn has like 7 fight losing streak his lost to Yair Rodriguez is ugly same as his last lost to Ryan Hall.

BJ Penn's networth is around 22 million - https://www.celebritynetworth.com/richest-athletes/mma-net-worth/bj-penn-net-worth/

Anderson Silva's networth is 18 million - https://wealthygorilla.com/top-20-richest-mma-fighters-world/

So those guys have enough money for their future and their kids future.

Well I really admire his passion and determination as well  but just like you said he would surely think about his injury and the trauma from that scene will haunt him forever, It is not easy to sure let it slip but I guess he really got the guts to keep on striving and this is the only passion he got with the sports.

@YuginKadoya. Do not be so certain on Jared Canonnier. He might begin having weight cutting problems to fight in the middleweight division hehehe.

He might as well, But we can never see for sure if he would certainly issue fighting Silva, I really like Silva in his dominant years but that long career of his was taken from him because of his injury I can never say for sure, But for me this fight is unpredictable until the fights over.

someone said there are really lots of new names in MMA,  there use to be just few. Jose Also still not retiring too. if its the last fight of BJ Penn, he has to win.
not betting on any of the match but will only enjoy the Clay Guida fight, this guy here should be the one on the main event.  ;D

I became Rose Namajunas fan after he beat Joanna Jedrzejczyk the first time, she was so cool and so calculated, the only formula where you can beat the likes of Joanna Jedrzejczyk, and after she beats her again, it's no denying she is one of the greatest female Ufc fighters, this fihgt is for Rose no doubt about it, he is a total package for a female fighter.

Yeah your right maybe it is just the contract but we don't know it for sure.
But maybe it is their own decision after all it is what they have been doing for a long time so they don't want to quit, they just want to do what they have been doing.
But if I would put up my bet on Silva's match I would go to Jared Connonier.
Silva is a legend but there is a time that legends would have to make way to a younger athlete to make their own history .

Here are the last 3 fights of Cannonier

UFC 230 Nov 3 2018 Cannonier def Branch
UFC FN 129 May 19 2018 Cannonier lost to Reyes
UFC FN 116 December 16 2017 Cannonier lost to Blachowicz

I have a good feeling Silva will come out winning on this this match but by decision.
Planning to put some money on him since odds are pretty good.

Notes

-Said Nurmagomedov pulled out and was replaced by Carlos Huachin on may 1st.

-There are rumors this will be the last fight of BJ Penn but I just saw an interview of him saying he wants to fight in africa so he can say he fought on every continent which could imply he'll continue fighting even if its not with the UFC.

-Bethe Corriea is 5'5 with a reported 64 inch reach. Her frame may be better suited to competing at 125 or 115 lbs. But we shall see. There are many fighters with smaller frames who do well despite what some might call a size disadvantage. Perhaps Bethe is one of these.

-People may not recognize Priscila Cachoeira's name. She is the female fighter who Mario Yamasaki allowed to take many unanswered strikes from Valentina Shevchenko. Dana White was upset from Yamasaki failing to protect the health of the fighter and said Yamasaki would never referee in the UFC again. Cachoeira is also taking this fight on short notice with the bout officially being announced on april 22nd.

-Kurt Holobaugh's boxing has looked very good of late. I think Thiago Moises only chance to win the fight could be if he wrestles or takes the fight to the ground.

-BJ Penn could have a very slight chance to win his fight via sub. Clay Guida has displayed poor submission defense in the past. He has circled to the wrong side attempting to defend guillotine chokes and made other errors. Unfortunately for Penn, his cardio has looked terrible and so if he tries for a submission and doesn't get it he'll very likely exhaust himself & lose the fight.

I am imagining Jessica Andrade will win this match.
The match with Aldana earlier with Corriea going down just by her weight and then she put her into submission leg lock across her neck. After the fight it looked like she broke her nose cause there was a alot of blood on her face but she receive a strike to her face.
I am thinking the Andrade fight will end the same way for the brazilian being the dominant one of the two fighters.
