Maybe you are the proud owner of a few hundred seats and wanna sell me some for a discount. These seats will be used when OG comes out with his next coin and requires seats.

If this isnt the right subtopic for this I am not too sure where I should put it.

How many even exist? I know he pulled a few thousand out of his ass to get out of BFL debt, but is there a document showing all the owners/donators?

All of that info is in his thread about the seats.

If I remember right if you go on his website you can see at least the top seat holders. I'm not too sure if it lists every seat held.


But to me, buying seats from his website, even though it's 100% automated and you buy them from other users. I don't like it.. even though it's a bid/ask type of thing. There's not enough people actively selling their seats on there

I must warn you though, at this point in time I’m not planning on releasing any more Minted Seats. There is a small possibility I will do a 20oz .9999 gold round, but that’s the only Minted Seat I have designs for at this time. I have recently presented the idea of rebranding NastyFans so it will be more clear that I do not run it, at which point it might be fun to do one last coin with all the bells and whistles for whatever a potential rebrand ends up being, but that’s likely at least 1-3 years away.

P.S. I’d also be interested in picking up a group of seats at a discount. :)

Isn't the lowest mintage of a coin you have produced is 2? If I remember correctly? Or was it 5?
Either way a 20oz gold means a 40 oz silver right?

Even if you don't have plans to release another coin doesn't mean that you won't. Better to have the seats now and not need them than to look to buy them when everyone needs them

A 20oz gold round would be in the size of a 10oz silver round, gold is the heavier metal.

Indeed, plans change. However, when I started making Minted Seats ~6 years ago, I had an idea of what I wanted to make, and a 20oz gold round would be the end of that idea. I will most definitely have to come up with something I feel is a worthy innovation if it to succeed Minted Seats. Perhaps something with the liquid network or the introduction of a new method of distribution. I’ve always liked the idea behind gravitate’s Russian Roulette rounds, and feel there is space for innovation there. Time will tell.

Don't the minted seats already come with "seats"?

If so, then why/how could or would you want to transfer additional seats to an already "seat loaded" coin?

Some minted seats require a donation of X amount of seats if I can recall correctly and read correctly.

Like the reaaaallly nice big gold ones.

I have always liked the quality of these coins, they really are beautiful  :)

A 20oz gold coin would be 3.5" in diameter.  I don't like the idea of tying up such a massive amount of seats on these coins though, so we'll see...  It would take a pretty high price tag to bring them to reality, so they'd need to be funded by some deep pockets or we'd need another Bitcoin bubble.

Put them up for sale on the auction at nastyfans.org.  ;D
