Title: Information on the ban
Post by: Yarex2 on May 10, 2019, 09:50:26 PM
Good evening.
Please tell me why the character was banned: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1217132

And can I appeal?

Plagiarism. Appeal to the e-mail address in your ban message. Your chances are negligible.

Almost no company during the ICO does not say which exchanges will be coin. Everything is already learned by fact from the stock exchanges when they add a token. Tell me, do you already have information on which exchanges tenders are planned?

I wrote this message in "December 23, 2017, 08:48:08 PM" and someone copied it from me in "December 23, 2017, 12:31:21 PM"
Is it my fault?

You do realize that 8:48PM is later than 12:30PM, right? You posted the message an entire sleep-cycle after the other user.
It is entirely your fault, when you copy another user's message character-by-character many hours after they had posted it.

It seems strange to admit to plagiarism, then ask if it is your fault. Who else's fault would it be?

The 1-Hour time-difference you are noticing is because of your settings, but this does not change the course of history.

I live where counting is done by 24 calculus time.
Thank you for clarifying this to me.

I really don’t remember me copying someone’s message and thinking that it was copied from me.
It hit a long time ago.

Looks like you are leaving in denial.
Let's try 24 Hour clock, shall we?

December 23, 2017, 12:31:21 PM = December 23, 2017, 12:31:21 Hrs (someone posted)
December 23, 2017, 08:48:08 PM = December 23, 2017, 20:48:08 Hrs (you posted)

After almost 8 hours is when you posted and you have the nerve to say that someone copied you? Did hr/she travel to the future to copy your post and the travel back in time to post?  ;D

I have already explained that I do not remember that I was copying the message from someone, and since I do not understand the 12 o'clock time, I thought that 8 PM is less than 12 PM.
I have already explained my mistake.
Thanks to everyone who participated and explained to me what I am wrong.
I apologize, I had no goal to deceive anyone.

Who filed a complaint against me about plagiarism? Is there a link to this complaint?

Why does it matter? Are you thinking that you will attempt to exact some sort of revenge on the person who reported you? ???

I am a Christian, religion forbids me to revenge.

I’m wondering who is looking for posts a year and a half ago.

I understand that plagiarism is a very serious crime. It has no statute of limitations and it makes no sense for me to ask to unban me?

I am. Not specifically "for posts a year and a half ago" but for plagiarized posts and you happen to have done that in 2017.

I understand that plagiarism is a very serious crime. It has no statute of limitations and it makes no sense for me to ask to unban me?

Individuals with exceptional contributions to the forum may get a signature ban instead but I don't think you qualify. Try appealing as described in your ban message.

I understood you.

Goodbye.

Ephesians 4:28

Anyone who has been stealing must steal no longer, but must work, doing something useful with their own hands, that they may have something to share with those in need.

Did you buy this account from someone else if you can't remember? (not that it would help your case...)

Not specifically "for posts a year and a half ago" but for plagiarized posts and you happen to have done that in 2017.
It does not make sense that plagiarism made in 2017, or some years earlier because theymos wrote there:
Plagiarism: If you copy some text from somewhere, then you should have a good reason for it, and you must link to the source. Doing otherwise is plagiarism. Changing a few words around doesn't matter. If we find that you plagiarized, then you absolutely will be permanently banned, even if we find it years after you did it.
Users whom got perma-bans with found plagiarsims, without significant contributions to the forum less likely have chance to see their bans removed.

It's better to accept facts and punishments (perma-bans) if banned users think that they did not make considerable contributions to the forum in the past (before the day they banned).
If you think that a ban should be ended, make your case in a new topic from a "good for the forum as a whole" perspective.
