Title: What cable does my new trezor ONE take?
Post by: jackg on May 16, 2019, 07:12:53 PM
I bought three trezors (because I thought they looked cool and because my multisig started to stop working on transactions larger than 1kb).

I want to connect my trezor one to my phone but I'm stuck as to which cable to use.

Is it a micro USB A or a micro USB B? My phone uses usb C and it would be great if I can use it directly on my phone.

Trezor One (old model) uses micro USB. By the looks of the picture, it is a micro USB B. Trezor T (new model) uses USB C. So presumably you would need a USB C to USB C cable if you bought the new model. You can get one for a couple of bucks on Amazon.

No I got the old one. Apparently the new one just had a touch screen...

Thanks. I bought a usb type c to usb type c thinking it was the one I needed though. I bought one of those for $7 from trezor...

Connectivity    Micro USB connector (type B)

Definitely the micro USB type B to USB C you want then.

Was that an Android charging cable or a data cable? Occasionally, some cheaper microUSB charging cables only include "power" connectors and do not have the "data" connectors wired up.

So the cable will supply power and your Trezor will light up, but it can't actually communicate and transfer data to/from your pc/laptop.
