Back in 2017, BTC hit the ATH at December but all the altcoin hit ATH later in January 10 or so. Do you think, market will face an altcoin pump soon? If so, the right time to invest is now.

Altcoins pump will be next year, so there is still enough room to gather those cheap alts now.

Although history tend to repeat itself overtime in the market but we should not just buy or sell based on the history alone, understanding the current market trend is still a safer bet to investing use the history as a benchmark for your consideration purpose.

So, you think altcoin will not follow the previous stats. As far as I know, after all the BTC pump, altcoin followed the same too. Therefore, we will be realized a 20-30% increase in altcoin price too.

I believe once again we'll experience such a big market growth with altcoins. Importantly this time more news have begun to fall out stating the growth of altcoins bull run. There is always some form of market reversal, and I believe this will happen starting from the end days of the year, if not within the time schedule of halving which falls by the mid of 2020.

In my opinion as long as btc goes up the altcoins have a bigger chance of blooming also since altcoins are dependent to btc mostly.

There will always a pump on any coin that shows potential and support in the market, these must combine for a coin to have a pump, not just for the top coins in the market, but also from coins that are on below 20 ranking, honestly we don't need new coins right just the existing coins are enough for us.

Yes, there will be altcoin pumps, but it's hard to predict exactly when they'll occur. As the market has matured since 2017, I expect alts with actual use cases to pump the most. Investors should thus be very selective with them.

Bitcoin and altcoin are combine with investors so those are buying Bitcoin, they also invest in altcoin. Majority of the peoples are know about the current pump in market and this is the right time to buy altcoin and Bitcoin. At the same we must concentrate in top altcoins then only it will make good profit.

Altcoin was also pumped in December 2017. But it was like a 'selective' pump. Whales and pump groups will select which coin they're going to pump that time and then boom the price goes on a dramatic rise.

The January pump on altcoins was due to the fact that time, investors are already dumping bitcoin and then moving to altcoins like ETH and XRP that's why around January-Feb, the price was really on it's all-time-high.

Of course, the altcoin market will be pump, I'm expecting another big pump coming this December 2019.

Yes I believe that bull run is near to happen. So we need to invest now and according to some blogs that I had read the value will beat the price value last 2017. So if you want some good investment that gives you a very good income you must invest now and take the risk because no one can predict when it's happen but I believe it will happen very soon.

In some situations, peoples sell their altcoins off in order to convert their investments into bitcoins as soon as they feel that the bull markets are approaching so it might make the price for altcoins go down but the price for bitcoins keeps on rising. In second observation, the prices for altcoins start growing as soon as the price for bitcoins starts rising. The bear markets are almost over now which are always been followed by the bull markets and so is been expected now.

Current markets is showing us bitcoins as well as altcoins into the red allocated graph which might not be a good sign but it would surely change into green as the time passes by. Several kind of dips are already been expected by the investors including this.

we don't have altcoin "bull runs" all we have is altcoin "pumps" and so far they always happen whenever bitcoin price is stable or at least moderately stable that makes making money for bitcoin traders trading bitcoin, hard. so they switch over to altcion market and as the pumpers see that, they start pumping the altcoins so that everyone can make profit.

we have already had a nice little altcoin pump last month and the month before that when bitcoin price was stable and everyone was accumulating bitcoin.

IMHO Alt-coins Bullrun is long overdue but I hope that bitcoin will cross over $15k before that so that we can maximize our profits lol

For invest its good time because market price growth very well. But back then if we look at price history,altcoin price depend on how btc price ATH. Market now more better, investor already back to invest their money in crypto. If you want to invest its good time, i think altcoin will reach their new ATH soon.

Right time to invest? Yes it best time to choose best altcoins for you and you will gain more this year 2019. This year and next several years comes the altcoins will experience bull run like ethereum for the 100 dollars when it comes this year and now it's already $250plus and It will rise more.

Logic doesn't work always, regrettably. ATH levels are not the goal for the current BTC pump and we are in the recovery stage. Altcoin pump will happen this year in my opinion but I am not good at market timing.

There is still plenty of time to know if the market is recovering or just by the fomo sharks. I see the current news as credible as corporations are gradually joining the blockchain. But they are just getting started and I don't think that makes the market recover as quickly as it is today

What do you mean by altcoin pump?Does it what happens every time bitcoin grows and alts follows?and there are so many alternative cryptocurrency to pump at the same instance and instead these will pump each when the right time comes

You are talking about the fundamental progress of altcoins. But it will not be as fast as we would like. By the time the cryptocurrency is recognized and will become an great part of the business, there will be several more large pumps.

Many of the traders are already waiting for the so-called altcoin season where altcoins are mosty bullish. The price of the bitcoin at this time is always steady compare to the altcoins where rheir prices are going up aggressively. But even in the height of bitcoin bullrun, some altcoins manages to go up and made some significant gains. These altcoins grow mostly when the market continuous to become bullish and it is also depend on bitcoin's price movement.

Of course, the rise of bitcoin price and the participation of altcoins in the party would be nice to have it soon, this is something we sincerely hope.  Some of the altcoins have a high potential and prices are still very cheap, so I'm buying now but I don't forget, nobody knows when altcoin bull run. 

Let the Bitcoin price move above to the $10,000 and be sustain there, after this you can confirmed that it is a bull run for the top10 coin. But, as the Bitcoin price is acting as the market index for all other altcoins hence the altcoin bull run only be confirmed when Bitcoin price go above $20,000 because it has to cross the previous bull top price.

If that so,  we cant expect that altcoins will recover faster as we think. It needs a numbers of investors to move the market  but they are quite now, how it could help it out.

We only see BTC on the bullish and a quite low for ETH pump but for other altcoins,  still it was the same. Hoping it will change the course once BTC price reach into $10k.

Yes, altcoins will pump as well just like what happened in the last bull run. But most altcoins will not survived this bear market, and we all know that as we have seen some projects stop their developments and commitments on the project and left.

Well, I think it is possible for the bulls to run again at this moment but we can never be so sure about it. Let us all just be prepared and invest on altcoins that have good qualities of giving us huge profits when the prices rise up high again.

Many altcoins have already risen in price and I think that the growth will continue until the end of 2019, just now there is no such fast pump that was before, now there is a long but steady growth of altcoins and I hope it will not end very quickly.

We don’t know when but altcoins will have time for the bull, it can pump together with bitcoin, ahead with bitcoin or after the pump of bitcoin everything is possible. yes I also believe that the next pump is altcoin. according to my personal observation, yesterday's bitcoin pump did not last long so the possibility of the next pump can occur with altcoin. History will repeat itself, but not all history repeat with the same time. Especially in cryptocurrency world, you just need few percent that your predict is right. There are many factor which make the cryptocurrency price change quickly, exceedingly for the regulation factors. Whilst, related to cryptocurrency comes from the various directions which one it could be the price moving up and then just a few second its price changing to fall. So, there is no guarantee for your statement and there is no definite answer also to be convinced.

Altcoins always pumps after bitcoin so if we will be able to see bitcoin bull run this year we well be able to see altcoins get a bull run too all of them will surely set a new ATH on their history just like what happen last 2017.

The best time for investing into altcoins is when Bitcoin lose the power for growth, in the meantime altcoins are pumping like crazy.

I dont know when altseason started but i am believe altcoin price will rising after bitcoin. Bitcoin price looks good and if this continue, i am believe bitcoin price will reach $10k. Altcoin will follow bitcoin movement and i am believe will happen soon

There will always be an altcoin season regardless of how long the gap in between seasons are. Anyway, this coming altcoin season may be just around corner, most likely after Bitcoin cools down a bit. Just enjoy the view first and laugh at those ragequitters.

Even there is a slight move with BTC price still altcoins are not moving so well and I do not consider it like a bull run. I think this year it will happen so there is still time for us to buy those cheap altcoins and be patience so in the future we will get what we deserve.  ;)

In 2017, btc had already reached the new ATH, and had also influenced these altcoins. It can not be compared with the present situation. The increase in altcoins depend on increase of btc.

How can you be so sure of that? What is your basis? Altcoins will gonna soon pump just like btc does. If not this month, there is a delay in the movement of the altcoins. Yes, i agreed that now is the time to buy those dip and cheap altcoins but no one knows when exactly is the time for them to bull run.

In the near future, I expect a decrease in the domination of bitcoin to at least 50 percent. That's when the real bull run for altcoins will begin. But not everyone.

Yes I think there will be a rapid rise in altcoin prices in a short time. Now the price of Bitcoin is increasing very quickly. But this increase is not affect altcoins fully. But in the weeks ahead, I think that the rise in Bitcoin price will slow down a bit and that there will be a rapid increase in altcoin prices.

If btc stops pumping i dont think that alts will pump because i believe that alts and other cryptos are only following the path of bitcoin  however bitcoin already pump recently but altcoins are delayed  .

 only few alts shows a sign of growth  and finally after some days , etherium has gotten out of its comfort zone which was good because the growth of eth can also contribute to other alts and erc20 based tokens  .

@trauchot you’re correct as many altcoins prices have risen now, as they’re following bitcoins lead. I don’t think anyone here was expecting a fast pump in altcoin prices, and I’m glad we’re not seeing one as it’s not good in the long term. I’m of the opinion that we shall witness stable pumps in altcoins, when bitcoin prices will cross the $10k levels in coming days.

I am earnestly waiting for this and have since positioned already, so far altcoins have made some profits and all the technical analysis around it tend to point towards an impending bull run, btc needs to cross a $10,000 mark for an obvious alts bull run. It will be interesting to see

I agree mate. Many have done that before, and most of them have ended up losing their investments. History, although can be used as a guide or an indicator of what could happen, is not something that one should completely rely on. More than history, I think technical analysis and market forecasting could be better options to eye. At least, there is science on how those analyses work, which is a little more reliable.

I think the price of altcoins has increased significantly now because the reason for the rise of altcoins is due to the bitcoin bullran so other dump prices of altcoins have increased significantly so the holders of the Altcoins are pretty much profitable because of the low cost of altcoins and with potential and longterm and there are also altcoins that although the price of bitcoin increases the price of other altcoins is because they do not have too much investor in their token and because maybe their project is ugly and their token is not longterm.

It's always the right time to invest now, but only if the coin has a good platform and it has good community support, not all the coins deserve to be part of your portfolio, you have to be wise enough what to include and what not to include, this is where your experiences comes and how good you are at analyzing each coin.

I think not all altcoins will experience a bullrun and only a small number of altcoins will experience it because for me altcoin is now only used for pump and dump and does not have real use in crypto.

I don't think altcoin prices depend on bitcoin price movements, usually altcoin prices will also go up when there is good news and will fall when there is bad news, not only because of the price movements of bitcoin.

I am not too sure if the altcoin pump will happen in the near future, but my little heart says now is the right time to invest. I did not make history a reference for investing, but I made market trends a reference.

According to the previous market circles, the altcoins pump should take place before market will go on the summer holidays. This way we have 3-5 weeks for pumps.

Bitcoin is back now again, I thought bitcoin will be stable for couple of weeks more. However, that's a good sign and our bitcoin portfolio is being more strong. I think altcoin bullrun will happen after BTC bull.

There are already so many predictions in this direction. Even JP Morgan recently predicted that the market is beginning to smell like what it was at the end of 2017. Which means we might be seeing new ATHs.

During latest pumps and dumps of bitcoin last week, altcoins have not been affected significantly, so it is somehow a good demonstration that altcoins have been in their really strong supports, from which they might take off together with bitcoin, when bitcoin rockets once more wave. I don't think that if bitcoin rockets again, like what it did from the range $6000 to over $8000, altcoins will not follow upward movements of bitcoin. After long period of retest altcoins' supports, it is time for them to move up with bitcoin. We might soon see such movements next few days or just one or three coming weeks.

I think we are seeing a very good run now even though there is a light resistance on some type but eventually that will break and maybe we will have a considerable bull run this year so maybe things in the market and others might pickup a good run

Current market growth continues to increase in price and I also hope to reach the highest price as in 2017. More advanced Altcoin continues to grow, so price volatility and hackers also increase. In 2019 I hope to be better so that we can invest comfortably and profitably.

It is of no doubt that altcoins market will really surge high too one day, but it really can’t be now, we are still abit far to when altcoins will pump in price. The bitcoin surge we are seeing now is not what I really can call a full bull run, I see it as a semi bull run that is just preparing the market and investors against the proper bull which may not occur until 2020 halving.

Not when i check my portfolio. Almost all of my alt coin are still in red. Few are green which are part of the top 50. However for my other tokens dunno if they will be able to bull run together with Bitcoin.

For what I observed since I experienced what said that after the BTC ATH altcoins do ATH too.
But today, what I see is when BTC pumps, altcoins are really dumping off the floor. The BITCOIN dominance also pumps a few weeks ago, while those altcoins are dropping. For me, we can see a different altcoin season soon, different from what happened in 2017.

I don't agree with your statement as when I see ETH rises, I also saw some altcoins rises in value, just like holdings, don't know what coins you are holding but I can assure you minds are legit coins with decent trading volume.

When the crypto prices goes up then overall prices of crypto become growing and now the market is good for investment with a proof of many investors came for investment. Bitcoin prices also rising so people are trusting in altcoin too. Now with bitcoin rise Ethereum also rise which captures the whole market.

The Altcoins are also in bullish run but the price movement depends upon the number of increase and decrease in the demand factor that is why we cannot predict what will happen in future. We can just make decisions according to a specific time in the Altcoins market. Yeah it is not yet confirmed that the crypto market is fully bullish and the effect will be very visibly seen on if there is an abrupt and sudden high surge in the value of Altcoin. I see that happening soon in few months. Pure Bull Run will be confirmed if Bitcoin cross $10,000 and ETH $1000. To be honest it not impossible for we have seen this happening before.

Are you talking about the short pump or the long pump, if you are talking about the short pump which is already happening because we can see that some coins always follow bitcoin in its increase and majority of these coins are the top altcoins, but the general altcoins that will touch all altcoins is bound to happen towards next year and not this year.

Altcoins will rise dramatically from their prices (very low prices in BTC pairs, in reality), but to call that bull run for altcoins will come soon, I don't think so. Maybe, altcoins will rally to their latest spike in that pair before fell back due to bitcoin increases last two months. However to break their strong resistances around their latest spikes, I think that altcoins need really strong momentum that come from new significant demands and it is obviously requires lots of time to catch attention of investors on altcoins.

For example, if we are talking about US market, there is a company, called Asicequipment that is pretty widely known as they have operated on their own, owning farms, and now selling miners all over the States. And what you are pointing out is that some altcoins has managed to reach ATH later, because in January bitcoin is already dumping. Correction is alright, it's acceptable provided price will again rise, we've seen corrections already and last year was even a long correction so that is not new this year. What's appealing now is that bitcoin is increasing, it almost hit $9000, and the price now is stable but hopefully a next surge will again starts soon. It was like 1 week when bitcoin moves sideways, but today we were surprise with a big pump.

At this moment altcoins were swinging too while bitcoin pumping up, not only altcoins experience bull run without leading by the bitcoin movement which is most likely happen. But I have noticed that altcoins having a delayed movement if it is swinging the price.

As I've said, you just can't see because you are thinking of more, you want to see more pump on alts but you can't appreciate the small gains that it gave. It's also likely that you haven't recovered yet because not every altcoin has reached the all time high except for few alts.

I would hope altcoins would start moving well before bitcoin hits that price, and some of them have started to track bitcoin upwards, though the ones I own are pretty much stagnant--except for NEO, which has been performing decently in the past couple of weeks.  And hey, I'm elated that bitcoin is past $9000 and ETH is at $265.  If ETH ever goes proof-of-stake, I'm going to buy in.  I do love capital gains, but in the stock market I've always been an income investor (dividends), and I like earning coins just by staking.

That coin mystifies me.  I don't see what the big deal is with it, but I've pretty much only read what Binance has to say about its functions.  To me, it's just another altcoin that got popular because so many traders use that exchange.  I'm probably stupid for not buying a whole bunch, but I can't get myself to believe in it.

My opinion on their pump was due to the IEO that they've just implemented. And because of its hype, people bought and in result of that hype it's one of the coin that was able to get back to its all time high state.
I felt bad of not buying this when it was sitting @ $5 early this year.

If you are think now it's too risky then don't buy any coins, but if the price is rising more and more, you will end with regrets.


It's not even started yet. Almost all altcoins price are affected because of bitcoin price rising. A year ago, when bitcoin was around $12k-15k, ETH price was $1.2k, now when you see on CMC, ETH only worth $265 which still far away from altcoin bullish

There might be a slight movement of altcoins, and as far as how the struggles move forward I still see it wasn't starting yet. Only bitcoin has shown a consistent rise despite of the difficulties of ongoing recovery period. Most holders of the alts we're definitely hoping that their holdings will initiate a bigger demands, in order to grow a profitable price that could compete to the marketplace. Hopefully this coming days, there might be a good start to commence soon.

On exchanges, altcoins have fallen due to bitcoin increases recent weeks. Within recent days, when bitcoin surpassed $9,000, altcoins continued to fall in BTC pairs. right as you say because we cannot know the progress of the altcoin prices that we have and for that we need a lot of confidence and patience in investing with the altcoins we have and will get the benefits and that is what is expected of course

Now only both the Bitcoin and other potential coins prices are increasing in the market and it completely indicates bull run in this year. Altcoin growth will soon follow in the market and it will help us to increase the other potential coin prices easily.

Bitcoin is the one that is obviously on the run, all eyes are on bitcoin because they know it will drive the altcoins to rise also.
Ethereum has not rise yet really, I mean a major rise is still not happening, but I'm hoping it will soon, as there's a lot of positive effect in the market if ETH will run, one big effect is the growth of ETH tokens which most of them now are really undervalued.

everything doesn't happen easily friend. you can see the growth of bitcoin with several pumps that have been done. in fact there are not many altcoins that follow it. I'm afraid, this bull will only belong to Bitcoin where after the market goes down, investor adoption focuses more on bitcoin assets and other potential assets.

so far, only bitcoin has pumped. I don't really know what caused this to happen. however, the current development of altcoins is quite slow. well, maybe there will be a time when the altcoin price will also increase this year. I honestly hold more altcoins than bitcoin.

I also save too many altcoins compared to bitcoin. I still believe altcoin will bring greater profits in the future. now maybe development is still slow, but hopefully the altcoin market growth is clear and certain.

There's always a cycle even if its on bitcoin or altcoin. So if its a cheap season for now, its always be another moon season after, we just dont even know when. So gather many coins now that its cheap to earn more soon. Just put a lot of patience with you and that will be okay.

Altough it has been a very good rally from our lowest pint, BTC is far form that. It seems that your scenario cant play out right nnow.

for now altcoin still hasn't found a significant price increase. now only bitcoins can be in a good position and the altcoin pump is not so visible for now, maybe it should take a lot of time to get up

some pumps occur on altcoins, only a few follow pumps that occur in bitcoin. unfortunately ethereum and many other altcoins don't follow the pump. even some of them also looked down. bulls haven't come for altcoins, we have to be more patient.

The altcoin bull run yet to be finalised but it is no strong signal that the altcoin will grow in the recent time. This because Bitcoin is now growing enough and looking at this growth the altcoin growth is nothing. Maybe the altcoins are waiting for the Bitcoin when it will cross the previous top that is $20,000.

I start to think that the probability of a real bull run that we saw in 2017 is small. However, definitely, certain altcoins will gain a lot. Suppose, TRON and Cardano are the best tokens of 2019, therefore I invested in them.

actually most of the pump only occur on Bitcoin while only few alts follow  . Eth is the biggest gainer among other alts  . Your right , bulls on altcoins does not come yet but there are signs that keeps on showing  . In the meantime it's better if we guys start to buy and invest more on altcoins because alts are going to be the next to pump  . Bitcoin bull run is over so it's okay if we can take a break from buying btc for now  .

During the month-lasting bull run of bitcoin, altcoin season has not come yet. The last wave of altcoins occured around three months ago, back in April this year. I think that sooner or later, altcoin season will come with us, and we have been not too far from altcoin season. The bull run of altcoins, when appears will help us to enrich our number of bitcoins in our portfolios, that I have still waited for the last three months. Ethereum, in particular, will hardly to recover back to its all time high, in both fiat pair (around $1,500), and in bitcoin pair (around 0.15 BTC).

especially the altcoin that uses their blockchain, but that will have a big influence on the growth of altcoins. even if there are many good altcoins and large ethereum funding support will also get a boost to grow.

We may be seeing the first stirrings of an altcoin bull run now. BTC has surged but has dropped back a bit today, and some alts are making bigger gains. NEO had a crazy +20% yesterday, and XRP and ETH had big rises too. It may be the start right now.

Yes, the altcoins are pumping right now! Bitcoin price is pumping so that altcoins growing too! Every time we have seen this common incident in crypto! And it seems 10K USD can be a stable price for the bitcoin and Altcoins will be pumping gradually until Ethereum hits its real price about 500-700 USD!

That's right mate we seen it at the coin market cap the improvement price increase of altcoins because of the continues increase of bitcoin. Hoping bitcoin will hit the 15,000$ to bring all coins in the good position in coin market cap specially ethereum.

Yes, alts may take over the bull market sometime soon, but then again they might not. The thing is it does not always follow the same pattern. Often it works out that way, but it's not guaranteed. I had expected alts to take over by now, but we are still waiting, so maybe it will happen but maybe not.

waiting is an annoying job, it's just that for now we need to be patient for that. although altcoin hasn't pumped very high for this year, I think, this delay is due to something. Therefore, I think, this is a pretty good opportunity for those who don't have any assets from Altcoin.
