Title: [overview] LoyceV's useful data on Bitcointalk Post by: LoyceV on May 21, 2019, 07:55:10 AM LoyceV's useful data on Bitcointalk
I've created so many topics by now, I can't keep bumping all of them. But most are still relevant and it would be a waste (of my effort) to let them be forgotten. I host most of the data on loyce.club, but I don't want that to be more than just data storage. Bitcointalk should be the main starting point to find any of my data. I'll collect all my topics related to bulk data on Bitcointalk here in this topic. I'll still do weekly updates on some topics, others only when requested. If you want to see an update, just post your request. Merit

Title: Re: [overview] LoyceV's useful data on Bitcointalk Post by: LoyceV on August 06, 2019, 06:11:37 PM I need a bigger hosting plan, but I can't get that as my current hosting plan is hooked to loyce.club. So....... I've requested to end my current hosting plan. I made a backup, once it's gone I'll move all data over to a bigger plan and hopefully all will be fine again.
I've been postponing this for a while, but I need a more permanent setup. I don't trust my current "VPS-experiment" enough to move everything over there (and I'm not confident I can properly manage a server if something would break), so I'll keep those 2 separate for probably quite a while. Currently, I still generate my main data on my local PC. My plan is to (eventually) migrate all data production to a VPS, and upload it from there to my webhost. This should give me some redundancy, although it would save me time to have everything on one server. But that's maybe for next year. For now: my first priority is to get everything working again. I just received an email telling me they'll terminate my hosting within 24 hours. Unfortunately it's not instantly so I can't get it back up yet. Update: My 10 GB shared hosting is replaced by 100 GB. That should be enough to store full Trust data (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5102296.0) and unedited posts (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5167469.0) for the coming years. It's still the same webhost with the occasional downtime though. I'm currently uploading just under 10 GB of data, 950,000 files to go. I expect this to take the rest of the day. I still have a lot to do to get my VPS working properly, but that's less of a priority now. It's a pity that the website doesn't have the dates of user bans. I also really hope that Vod will restore the BIP. There are a lot of us who had gotten used to several of the informational and interface presentations of BPIP, yet it is starting to feel like a "take my marbles and go home" kind of situation. Of course, VOD had contributed a lot over the years, and of course, there is not always recognition for HARD work that is done, but that is the nature of both open source and these kinds of forum contributions that can devolve into nonsensical personal arguments and all or nothing "you or me" kinds of presentations. If VOD does not continue with BPIP, then hopefully someone else will take the reins of such a project with some kind of similar interface and/or accessibility of certain kinds of forum-related information. I don't want to jinx anything, and surely I am not superstitious, yet at the same time, I understand that sometimes, we could be at the end of an era and the person(s) that had historically been doing that kind of work does play his cards hard and sticks with his hand, however, stubborn that might seem to be. Richie_T did a similar thing with Chartbuddy - even though a precedent had been set for the existence and utility of Chartbuddy, no forum member has so far taken up the reins of programming a Chartbuddy 2.0, just like we might be witnessing the early days for a need for a BPIP 2.0 programmer.. .and surely I have no fucking skills beyond possibly rhetorically filling up the spaces of various threads with walls of text, to the extent that might questionably do any good in any direction: good, bad or ugly?... :D :D :D :D :D :D Title: Re: [overview] LoyceV's useful data on Bitcointalk Post by: JayJuanGee on December 30, 2019, 05:10:32 PM [edited out] I was not sure if I should "edit" my above post or write a new post, yet the passage of three days between this post and the above post seems to be sufficient and adequate justification for a new post, even though related. Within the past couple of hours, I noticed that BPIP seems to be working again, so in that regard, I take back any and all of any of my bad thoughts that I may have been having regarding VOD, whether justified or not and whether direct or indirect or any negative implication that I may have implied or inferred with my above "taking marbles home" analogy in the above post. In other words, long live BPIP!!!!! Thanks VOD for getting it going again!!!! Edit: Based on ibminer's below post, I will leave my earlier text (as I had written it), but just point out, here, for clarity, that I have added that new thread to my watch list, and I recognize that ibminer and suchmoon have jointly taken over responsibility and ownership of the BPIP site. If a user isn't on the list (http://loyce.club/trust/2020-02-22_Sat_06.05h/), it means RapTarX didn't set a custom Trust list, and is also not included (or excluded) by anyone else.https://gph.is/g/aXJgjje This was for 5 years LoyceV! topic, but while I was looking for a way to send this, you closed it (I couldn't it compress it till the bitcoin talk acceptable size anyways :D) Title: Re: [overview] LoyceV's useful data on Bitcointalk Post by: TheBeardedBaby on February 28, 2020, 01:55:33 PM I just went to BPIP to see the trust list viewer for RapTarX. Merit For some reason this is something that keeps coming back, apparently some signature campaigns ask for your total Merit in the past 120 days, and (for users with good posts) that can be quite some work to count.

Can you help me find out what the secret is there? I can give you the topic that contains a deleted post or username that posted there. I just couldn't see the content he wrote there. I received a notification email about his post but when I took a look, it was deleted, I wanted to know what he was throwing away there :D Can you help me :D

You can probably find it using Viewing unedited/deleted posts (search per post, per user or per topic) (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5167469.0). It's easiest if you have the post number, otherwise search by userID or topicID.If you can't find it, post in that topic :) Title: Re: [overview] LoyceV's useful data on Bitcointalk Post by: ChuckBuck on March 14, 2020, 01:56:43 PM You can probably find it using Viewing unedited/deleted posts (search per post, per user or per topic) (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5167469.0). It is just an invalid imageIf you can't find it, post in that topic :) https://i.imgur.com/FSYgHf2.png (http://loyce.club/archive/posts/5402/54025015.html) Is there any way to see it? Yeah, it is a complete error link ::) It would be better if I gave up my curiosity about it, LOL :D You really are something vast, whenever I ask you something, you always have a detailed answer, accompanied by a guide. Are you an AI ;D ;D The only time I can help you is find out theymos's statement. You are wonderful ;) Title: Re: [overview] LoyceV's useful data on Bitcointalk Post by: irfan_pak10 on April 12, 2020, 02:15:32 PM Today when I came across "Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion", OMG #531709 this much replies with [26586] no. of pages. How come you've never posted in the Wall Observer? :oI made this earlier this month: Crazy idea: I collected all posts in the Wall Observer thread made by the Top I wanted to post this April 1st, but I didn't make it on time. [overview] LoyceV's useful data on Bitcointalk Post by: irfan_pak10 on April 12, 2020, 04:01:35 PM Today when I came across "Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion", OMG #531709 this much replies with [26586] no. of pages. So I thought just for fun, have you ever thought of creating a thread mentioning such topics with the highest no of replies? ;) Seems interesting to me. How come you've never posted in the Wall Observer? :oI made this earlier this month: -snip- Never had an interest in posting such threads, But since everyone is posting there, I thought why not give it a try, so just posted 1 today ;) Btw, How come you aren't in top 495 :D What about a topic about "Most topic started" by anyone? ;D Title: Re: [overview] LoyceV's useful data on Bitcointalk Post by: tranthidung on April 12, 2020, 04:12:28 PM Get it at Statistic center (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=stats) but the list is limited to top 10 topic starters only. You can also get top 10 topics by replies.

I think this could be quite interesting and would like to crunch some stats and make some graphs on this :) Ideally all of them, can't be too many, or a Top 10 would do :D edit/redirect: https://talkimg.com/images/2023/09/10/m5PgN.jpeg (https://talkimg.com/images/2023/09/10/m5PgN.jpeg) https://talkimg.com/images/2023/09/10/m5Tua.jpeg (https://talkimg.com/images/2023/09/10/m5Tua.jpeg) https://talkimg.com/images/2023/09/10/m5tFo.png (https://talkimg.com/images/2023/09/10/m5tFo.png) https://talkimg.com/images/2023/09/10/m5zoT.png (https://talkimg.com/images/2023/09/10/m5zoT.png) Title: Re: [overview] LoyceV's useful data on Bitcointalk Post by: ChuckBuck on June 09, 2020, 12:59:44 PM How about DT1's most dis-trusted DT1-elected members based on negative DT1 strength? Also want to know what its effect :D LoyceV won't spend time on unnecessary things, I think so :D Title: Re: [overview] LoyceV's useful data on Bitcointalk Post by: LoyceV on June 09, 2020, 03:23:50 PM How about DT1's most dis-trusted DT1-elected members based on negative DT1 strength? I either need a cup of tea and a Bex or I hadn't been paying attention because I was looking for "Create your own trust list" - not to worry. For your convenience, I've added links to the profiles instead of just usernames, see loyce.club/other/Aveatrex.html (https://loyce.club/other/Aveatrex.html). It was a quick fix, so unfortunately sorting by userID failed. Note: this only counts users who posted on public boards (so not in Investigations (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=227.0)). It doesn't include users who have been active (for instance reading the forum or sending a PM) without posting. I use your website almost every other day. But, I didn't know that you also store Block data. I installed Bitcoin core a few months ago and tried to synchronize with the network. But, I run it as pruning. So, it didn't store any blocks on my computer. Later, I decided to run a full node. Recently I started downloading the blocks with Bitcoin core. But, I use a low-speed internet connection (5 Mbps). With this speed, I can download 500 kb per second. https://i.postimg.cc/d1s3FjKm/Screenshot-92.png So, this needs a lot of time and patience. I can download only 20GB daily because sometimes my internet drops for more than hours, which can happen a few times a day. I don't know what it is, But some websites run faster with my connection, such as Youtube and Google, and I can download 1-2 MB per second with this connection from youtube. Recently I subscribed to a VPN that can bypass the download speed limit, and I can download 1-2 MB per second from any website with my android device. So, I wondered if I could download block data with this speed and move it to my computer's blocks folder. It will save me a lot of time for me. Someone provided this link on another thread http://blockdata.loyce.club/ (http://blockdata.loyce.club/) and said it's possible. Since you have this thread, I thought I would find some information about it. But I didn't find any dedicated threads for it. I need some help with it. When I visit the block data folder, I see another three folders. Inputs/ (http://blockdata.loyce.club/inputs/) Outputs/ (http://blockdata.loyce.club/outputs/) Transactions/ (http://blockdata.loyce.club/transactions/) . But, I see only the index folder on my Bitcoin core Blocks folder. So, I am unsure which file I should download and where to store it. Can you please guide me if possible? But the forum has this: Your topics (https://bitcointalk.org/gettopics.php?user=97582). Yes, this is interesting. Thanks. But what I thought was a merits list, with the total number of posts made. Just the user ID and the number of posts made. Thanks and keep up the good work. ;) Title: Re: [overview] LoyceV's useful data on Bitcointalk Post by: LoyceV on October 20, 2022, 04:45:43 PM It's already a help, although it doesn't appear to all forum users. I can do a count on my server, but it will include deleted posts. Or ask the BPIP team, they have more accurate data on the number of posts per user.Update: Counting is running, it's going to take a while. That's already "addiction"... he can't stay still, when someone asks for something related to this type of numbers. ::) :D Thank you very much. I didn't want to be doing extra work. ;) Title: Re: [overview] LoyceV's useful data on Bitcointalk Post by: The Sceptical Chymist on October 20, 2022, 07:37:26 PM BPIP has a Top 1000: https://bpip.org/Report?r=mostposts Thanks for dropping that link. I have my own profile bookmarked on BPIP, but I rarely browse statistics like that and I was surprised to see Lauda still way at the top (#5) long after he/she left the forum. I guess I'd forgotten how many posts Lauda had made. And though I don't browse the altcoin sections anymore, Amph is a name I remember well from my early days on the forum--not in a good way, either. And not to go way off-topic, but whatever happened to gentlemand? I imagine nobody knows, but I used to like reading his short, bitingly witty posts and he just seemed to suddenly disappear. Lastly, it's nice that members' DT status is listed right near their usernames on that list. Man, I should really spend more time on BPIP. It's such an awesome site, and I'm such a neglectful retard. Hello again. ;) Do you happen to get a list of merits sent, but with the nomination on the board it was given? ::) Title: Re: [overview] LoyceV's useful data on Bitcointalk Post by: LoyceV on October 22, 2022, 05:54:08 AM Do you happen to get a list of merits sent, but with the nomination on the board it was given? ::) Nope. I never kept track of the board. There are currently 114,009 (https://loyce.club/Merit/merit.all.txt) Merited topics (some of them no doubt deleted), so it would be possible to scrape this data in a few days. However, Ninjastic Space (https://ninjastic.space/user/id/97582) has board data already, so maybe you can ask TryNinja (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=557798) for a data dump.Title: Re: [overview] LoyceV's useful data on Bitcointalk Post by: joker_josue on October 22, 2022, 07:06:33 AM Nope. Please bear with me When I try to access the loyce.club link of different user profiles using the shortcut created by the bpip extension in the forum, this is all is see, for example. https://talkimg.com/images/2023/07/19/ZWbwC.png Anything wrong with the website, or it's just my device? I am using Firefox. Also at the bottom left, "Topic on Bitcointalk" has no link to Loyce.club topic on bitcointalk. Thanks for pointing me towards the right direction.I realized that the culprit causing all this was the No Script Extension. I am not sure how I missed it 🤦♂️ Title: Re: [overview] LoyceV's useful data on Bitcointalk Post by: LoyceV on February 01, 2023, 08:59:47 AM This belongs here:
How to get someone's signature in raw HTML Example: https://loyce.club/other/usersignature/35.html Details: Post this link on any public board on Bitcointalk: https://loyce.club/other/usersignature/149737.html Replace the userID by the user who's signature you want to view: Code: https://loyce.club/other/usersignature/<userID>.html Wait a few seconds, then click the link. It should show the user's signature in it's full size. Adjust your browser window if needed. I've added this script to my regular scraping, so it should keep working from now on. Limitations
Feel free to delete the link again. Find all scraped signatures here: loyce.club/other/usersignature/ (https://loyce.club/other/usersignature/?C=M;O=D) Title: Re: [overview] LoyceV's useful data on Bitcointalk Post by: T3PR00T on February 01, 2023, 09:07:57 AM How to get someone's signature in raw HTML Not impressive as the other tools you have .Example: https://loyce.club/other/usersignature/35.html I can easily copy a signature code which is in bbcode , paste it in txt file, replace the "[" and "]" with "<" and ">" respectively. Done! ;D |
