How to judge the value of Altcoin is worth investing?

I usually try to look at the following: a) whitepaper - is there something new, some new crypto feature they try to develop, a new angle on existing problem or it is just a copy paste of other whitepapers, b) team members - are they distinguished members of the crypto developers community or anonymouses, c) hype - have they managed to generate hype already, d) general look and feel of their website - does it look like many other website of similar content.

One of the most important things should be the market evaluation, meaning: what are they trying to produce and what would be the market for it
Team is important, structure, etc... but if they are only dreaming about a product, or if they are selling something that already exists (for example), they won't stand a chance...
These days, with so many alts, this is becoming an art...  ;D

c) hype - have they managed to generate hype already
i don't think you can judge the price of a coin with hype, the hype will just drive the funding up, but later on the price will go down alot because of the lack of development, there are alot of coins out there that experienced hype from their project and most of them don't have real development with their project.

unfortunately in 99% of the cases you can't because the "value" of altcoins is mostly determined based on hype and their pump and dumps rather than their utilities. for example there are currently useless junk coins in to 10 altcoins that technically have 0 value for example XRP and BCH are completely worthless but they still have a price because they are centralized and have been pumped by their pumping teams so you can't really evaluate or predict these things.
similarly because of the manipulation and being pumped, they have equal chance of crashing and going to zero.

looking for an appropriate ALT value for investment should undo it dude cause the best long term investment is BTC, my sugest if you want to invest in ALT don't look at the value but look at the industrial development of the product and there are actually many but I can't say that you must to read the often news.

It would be impossible to judge the coins value,
But if you really want to know if they are worth it then do some research about them if their team is legit or just another scam,
If you think that they are going to survive for a long term because their project have some back ups then it is worth it.
Look for their white paper, see if they are really following their road map, look at their partnership.

not all altcoins are worth buying because of several factors
1. a team that is not real / inexperienced so it cannot develop the project and is finally abandoned
2. Projects die because project ideas are not valued by investors and the public
so to be safe you just invest in the top 10 altcoins in exchange

How to judge the value of Altcoin is worth investing?

Talking about altcoins, it should mean that coins listed in the market and not ICO. Basically, I would check the history of the coin whether it has a future to grow or not before putting my money in it. Usually the most successful altcoin to invest are those coins with high volume and low price with a considerable supply.

What is worth investing for me actually has to follow whatever is in the target about altcoin, so that we can easily get the results or values that have always been pursued by some parties or all parties who want to pursue the value that is in altcoin

altcoin evaluation is quite hard, and I would recommend you to pay attention to the following:

1) first of all, pay close attention to the uniqueness of the product and existing competitors on the market; if the product is not unique, find out what novelties it bring, or does it bring any advantages over existing products;
2) the development and marketing department; even the best products will remain unnoticed without due attention;
3) number of coins in circulation, coin usage (will users be interested in using this altcoin?)
4) exchanges (big or small, one or a few exchanges, ICO or IEO), team activity.

Also, evaluate the current market state of altcoins, it's like a fertile soil for growth.

It's very important the team behind any project, the innovation they are bringing and how they have been fulfilling it, and their response to their community members, and the size of their community, and of course the exchange they are listed and trading volume. All these are important not to buy into a shitty project and end up calling everything a scam.

I look at how successful their ico was, how strong the community are and how strong they believe in the project. In most i join their telegram channel to see what is happening their daily, The teams responds to all question is very important to me and finally the progress of the project.

First of all, I look at the technical performance of chart (TA). If I like the long setup, I study the fundamental project data (FA). These are team activity after the end of the ICO, success in promoting a roadmap, and the like.

Check the project and which product that the project will produce. A good project will have a good altcoin with a good price. Top 10 altcoins on coinmarketcap is a good one to invest imo. I recommend top 10 altcoins like ethereum, xcm, bitcoin cash and litecoin to invest.

The project idea, team member capacity and the community behind it. Always do the most research on team and the project idea. If both of these are good, it worth to invest into altcoin. Otherwise, don't invest a single buck on them.

At least we can see it in each of its websites and market capitalization. There are many altcoins that will make us confused to analyze it, because it is not enough if we only look at the graph. That's my experience when I first wanted to invest in an altcoin. My advice is to choose the top 10 altcoins on Coinmarketcap. And please observe your way.

I would say there is no way to make it sure . No matter how good project is , it still have really big chance to fail . I did invest in few ICO's that i though have really good potential become big , team , announcements , updates and so on made me do that decision . But if i look at current value of them , then its pretty sad . Usually developers of project is pretty active at ICO stage , but when it ends , then they change the whitepaper and tells investors that you are not investor , but token buyer =] Funny , isnt it ?

I think is better to do some research and also after we can try to invest on old altcoins with some history because is safer to invest on them because they give profit on past and i think this will happen again.

Nothing is impossible in my opinion, seeing a whitepaper and seeing a team in my opinion can't be switched on now, because many shitcoin have the best whitepaper and team but can't grow.

I think people are now starting to focus on the technology adopted by the altcoin, and when we see coins like that, it's good to buy and see a few years later, boom.

Yes, there are common ways that one should look into a project in order to determine if it has a good potential to make it into the market. Aside from these, I also visit good reviews of the project to see how some analysts see the platform and if they think that it has a good and bright future ahead. Though we have to understand that nothing is really guaranteed here as some project and team members are expert in hiding what they lack and they can use hypes to prop up the project. The most important thing is that we are doing the due diligence compared to just guessing.

Altcoins are now very profitable to buy because they are very cheap and growth is inevitable.  Because I think that it is the top Altcoins who can be trusted now worth investing in them.

Most of the value is purely speculation, very few of these so called altcoins have any real adoption.  And to make matters worse exchanges are porting fake volume numbers to make these coins look more liquid than they really are.  The safest move has always been to put most of your crypto funds into bitcoin.

I judge based on sales and purchases in the exchange, if the potential is fulfilled I think it can be used as an option for investment. the most important thing is how the coin can get a high price and give profit.
but if you want to invest in altcoin in an ICO or IEO, try a more accurate analysis of how the process works like a roadmap, whitepaper and tokensale. this can affect our choices

For the highest altcoin, maybe it is an asset that we should have for investment and must be in our portfolio. but sometimes there are a number of altcoins above that have a slower market movement than other altcoins that might be at a lower level.

Use case, use case, use case. The primary consideration is the proposed usecase. The project should be for mass adoption of cryptocurrencies, the use case  should be aimed for that objective. The rest of the factors for the value of an altcoin depends already on the public demand for it, even if it's just speculative.

I see many points already, one thing for sure, follow the hype, many altcoins that have a great pump will almost identical, hype, cult-like followers and so on. The mainstream idea about this was, "are mainstream crypto investor will buy something like this?" see xrp as an example.
They have so much hype about replacing a bank.
An idea who many their followers believe, in the end, it will end up in a pump.

if I make an investment, I might start by choosing an altcoin that has a low price, but have a high trading volume, and also tries to compare the altcoin if you have the choice, it's time to choose.

Project idea is the first to see since no one will invest in useless idea, then you need to check their team behind and make sure they are competent and progressive. These two part is the most important for them to be able to develop proper product and for us before making any investment.

Check the charts of the altcoin you are looking for. Look the fluctuations in price since the creation of the currency and with more relevancy on the last times. Actually crypto currencies don't have an intrinsic value, so they don't have a real value, but we can find some patterns in price.
Separe the altcoins in 2 groups: the consolidated ones (eth, ltc, bitcoin cash, xrp...) and the unstable ones (those unknown currencies performing high volatility). In the second group you will hardly know the *value* of the currencies.

Me personally I don't place too much value on altcoins because their market is the most volatile market in the cryptocurrency industry and at that it highly risky to invest too much on altcoins it can fall to 0.00 cent any moment. I have come to realize that most altcoins are just shit coin except for a few of them who are doing well in the market.

how to see an altcoin that is worth investing in, in my opinion:
1. must have a clear coin security concept.
2. has a stable, realistic value and has the potential to increase prices in the market.
3. have connections with various coins that have appeared first, and have cooperation with real companies.

If you want to invest on any coins then you need to find out is there any usability for your coin in future or atleast it can survive for years from your investment time.Never judge the value based on the ICO prices because they are just the random value set by the project team based on their needs and you can see many tokens will lose its value almost half when it listed on exchanges.

There are some important factors that you need to consider before you look at the price of any altcoin. First of all, you need to look at the product development level, secondly, you always need to look at the trading volume, exchanges where this token is listed at and the community numbers are also important.

Everything is very simple. you need to conduct full analytics of the coin in which you want to invest and then you will understand should you do it or not. or just entrust project analysis to professionals

It will matter to its usecase. Its utility can be see by the demand of the token, intrinsic value is decided when we set how much do we pay for a particular coin. If the bids says 1 ETH costs $155 then $155 it is. If soon someone sells it for $150, then it would be the price as well. You'll have to look at the project to see how much its potential when its developed.

In the situation of market now even the great project with real use in industry or is even famous by everyone is capable of going down as bad as the scam ones so its really hard pinpointing them out. So for my opinion if you are a day trader then just follow your instinct riding the pricewaves to when to sell and to buyback again.

The Basic is to See the project itself look for their RoadMaps if its make sense, Then you can start to buy their tokens at its lower price. Then you wait for the project for its full development and after that you just need to wait for the price to rise up more its ICO price. That's only the basic, but if you want to experiment any further its up to you.

That's the hard thing inside this industry, following projects and review the realizations of future success is really a tough task inside this market, you have to have be more deep in terms of full development and progress, if your observations will bring you a good guarantee that the project is worthy to invest with, then go and start accumulating those cheap coins and wait for the rise.

One mistake people make in altcoin is by judging the value via it's current price not knowing that a lot of factors can drive the price of a coin high even if it is not working so much in real life, one of this factors is hype created by the team behind this project, since most action has low trade volume, it would be very easy to manipulate the market. This is why we need to be very careful before investing in a project and make sure we check the real life value of the project and how it would be of great impact in to the crypto community in the future.
