I want to learn playing the piano, and I am looking for some advice on it. But feel free to share anything about you playing different instruments here :)

I played flute in the school, had great teacher there.
Later, because of to much work and busy life I did not have time to resume playing the flute.
My advice is to find good teacher or music school but also discipline is important.

no I don't but I like to learn that and this is my wish also to learn some music instruments and play different kinds of tunes whatever come in my mind and I think the most useful instrument for me is piano to to make tune properly.

I know how to play the piano and have passed three theory exams. Piano and guitar lessons can be very useful.

Sad to say no.I cant play any musical instruments but I love music so much.when I was a child I tried to learn playing guitar but sad to say till now no progress.I also wants to learn organ but dont have that how can I learn?

I suggest go to school of music to learn anything would you want to learn piano etc. harder to learn instruments even if you are music lover.
I am a music lover and When I was a child I learn to play guitar at the age between 12 to 14 years old but sad to say I can't learn it well because i have nothing money to go into school of music to improve my skills as guitaries.

Nice I think it's good if Iplay also flute but in my country only school teach that kind of instrument because In my University they only have Drums, guitar, piano, and lyre. And I don't see any flute.  Playing music instrument is not easy and yes we need discipline and also patient to learn on what instruement we want to play.

I don't know how to play the musical instruments but whenever I hear a good music I definitely listen to that because music is loved by anyone in this world so I also in that case to love the music to hear but not to play.

I play piano and trumpet. If you can read music, it's pretty easy to learn. If you can't, then learning the notes and keys, chords, etc and some simple songs in beginner books would be a great place to start.

yes I am learning the piano on the keyboard and it will be giving the different kinds of feeling when I using the instrument but I am not a complete keyboard player but I tried to learn some steps involved in it.

I used to play electronic guitar but I gave up because I didn't have much time.

playing a musical instrument is something fun and it can be used as a daily hobby. I am a lover of musical instruments but at the moment I never play an instrument again because I have another job and there may not be time again to play an instrument. if you like playing the piano then keep learning and keep to developing your talents.

I never had the patience to learn to read music and play an instrument, but at least my children can read music and play the piano and saxophone :)

If you really wanted to learn piano, you can search some tutorials online which will definitely help you out as a beginner. You can also ask one to help you out personally (example: Your friend who can play piano or a teacher of music). But expect that it is not easy to learn. Music is broad  :)

Always wanted to play violin but never got the chance.

I have never played piano but I have played harmonium which is kind of similar. I love the tunes and I have practiced enough to create different tunes or copy tunes of popular songs from scratch by listening to consecutive tunes. You can learn the basics of piano from YouTube, it's easy and similar to harmonium I guess.

I love playing both the piano and the harmonium I have on my own I used to sing since childhood as a hobby Later I attended a song school and now I am singing in different programs. I have a tendency to play every musical but the most maintained is the harmonium and piano Also there are all kinds of musical instruments in our house.

i can play small in guitar and drums because we use to form a little band when we are in secondary school but did not come to continue in college as we have took different courses and time of school so we did not make it as professional musician but until now i love music and always watch concerts and even musical plays in universities.that is enough because Guitar is the most famous instrument in the world and can be played by solo performer.

I started playing the rhythm guitar when I was i grade 4. I think this is the most common path that kids before of my same age usually go through. It is actually a good foundation if you wanted to switch playing piano, bass, or lead guitars, since you already know the fundamentals of basic notes.

I can play almost all of the instruments  but I'm a big fan of the guitar  Sometimes the guitar is maintained but now is a good time to play the guitar sitting in the lockdown. Don't feel bored and will always be entertained.

Well I can play piano as long as its an easy song and not using the two hands. Before, I watched a youtube tutorial on how to do it but its not easy as I thought, my left hand is not cooperating. Lol

I've never had any musical instruments and I'm sure I'd drop learning in a couple of days. Thus, I needed something that doesn't require lots of skills and isn't too massive.

A couple of years ago my friend brought 8 keys kalimba and I was so satisfied with its magical sound, that I was borrowing it for days and weeks! As a result, she bought it for my birthday last year. Now I can take it wherever I want to! That's actually pretty funny to start playing while classes and watch wondered faces of my colleagues.

Guitar is the easiest to play, its learning by the sound that is the hardest. I can just try picking a song with some easy chords of it and strum wildly but still can hit the notes but learning how to play by melody is hard because it has to be in one with your heart. People who are musically inclined are good at it because they know the beat like they have 4/4 beat and an orchestra inside them.

Piano needs no strumming but two hands working together can be daunting. So feel it and you know whether you hit the notes or not. You play Lower C and then higher C on the right hand to start it.

Since I was 8 years old, I've been taught by my parents to play the piano, the composers I idolize the most are Chopin and Liszt. Chopin and Liszt's music has a soft and sharp character, I was really carried away when I performed the instruments they created.

When I was young, I knew how to play the guitar. There were about 300 of my favorite songs in my repertoire. Now I have given up playing the guitar. I don't have a guitar now.

When I was young and active on our church one of our drummer was teaching me how to play it.
And when I become teen I wanted to learn how to play a guitar but music isn't really my forte I guess.

Now it is easier to learn piano, I also learn through videos on YouTube, it's not easy to be able to play the piano smoothly. It takes a lot of practice,
so that the movement of the fingers of the left and right hand is more proficient in playing the Piano.  I agree it can be started from easy music,
like music for children, after that can try more difficult music.  The key is strong intention and diligent practice, we will definitely be able to play

I had to learn to play the piano and the flute when I was little. Somehow I didn't really like it and my teachers forced me to do it on school. I think it would have been better to play something more modern like guitar or drums. Not going to force my kids into any instrument, better to let them choose themselves.

The love took over me then I become a song writer but was looking for a instrument that can easily relate to my song and can be mobile n lovable at thesame time, that was when I met this beautiful lovable instrument called "guitar" I love it to the extend that you don't need to strike too much of keys before you can deliver your song and everyone are always ready to listen to you with this passionable instrument. I was a percussionist in high school. I learned to played everything from the triangle, marimba, snare, bass, and my favorite was marching with quints.

you should rent or borrow a drum set before you buy one- or watch a friend play his. it's expensive, loud, and a big time commitment if you want to sound practiced enough to play for people. not to mention, in many ways, it's one of the most difficult instruments to play. you'll be using all 4 limbs, like the piano, except you'll be keeping time independently. with melodic instruments, everything plays the same rhythm. with a 'set, the whole point is not to 🙂

Hi Piano is a great instrument to learn. You can get the idea of melody, chords and rhythm from learning it. It is also the perfect foundation to learn any other instrument. Also if you learn to play drums your rhythm will be impeccable. I learned guitar, bass guitar, drums and looking back I think i would have progressed much quicker had I learned piano first.

There is never too late mate, everyone is entitled to learn only if they will give their best and dedications .

I think it's better to learn late than never, my advice if you still have the desire to learn saxophone, do not hesitate to make your wishes come true.
How old do you think you are, it doesn't matter, the most important thing is that you can play it. If to become a professional saxophone player it
may be too late, but to be able to just play the saxophone you can do it now. We live only once in this world, I think there is nothing wrong with
trying to make all our desires come true.

As a person who used to like piano, if you like it, then you should find a teacher to learn it and continue playing it. Don't be abandoned for work or other reasons like me. After you lose it, you will find it hard to get back the feelings you once felt

That's what you must push even sometimes , because while we grow old we forget the music instrument we use to play.

Yeah same, my parents forced me to play the flute and the piano. I hated both. In the end it would have been much better to let me choose something, I probably would have preferred to play the guitar or drums, as my friends. And as soon as I could I just stopped all together. Over the years I forget almost everything, maybe I could pick it up quickly again but it doesn't interest me at all. Also in highschool we didn't have any real focus on music, the school was more open towards all kind of arts than music.

Who never played a piano or any instruments except some random strums on my friend's guitar. I would really want to play piano and hear it by play myself but I guess as we grow old, it's harder to learn instruments than we we're younger.

Of course, when we are young, our brains are able to understand things faster. Therefore, many people suggest that when we are young, we should
learn various things, including learning musical instruments when you are young. For people who are over 40 years old, it is a little difficult to learn
a musical instrument. Since I was little, I have loved the piano. unfortunately in my country the price of piano is expensive, and I am not a rich man.
Therefore my desire to be able to play the piano had to fail when I was young, now I have an income and can buy a piano. But it seems not easy to

You now have that chance if you want to learn more about Drums because right now, we can learn from Youtube and get many good lessons.

Thanks to the internet because we do not have to go to class to learn music but we can do that in our home and follow the instructions from Youtube videos.

Now that we have the capacity to buy piano, we can't play it. I think even if I follow some Youtube videos, I just can't because of lacking time.

That's what I'll do too, I'll let my children enjoy to play musical instruments and hopefully they'll be able to play me a key in the piano.

Internet are full of knowledge meaning all steps and tutorial that we need can be found Free , though That post you quoted are 2 years old maybe those time availabilities are limited but of course not in our time now.

If no one acknowledges that you will hide your skills, it is too bad your talent will show you I also play the guitar but prefer the harmonium show off your skills in front of others It doesn't take long to grow up.

Violin is one of the hardest musical instruments to learn if I am not wrong but I used to have guitar and the digital piano just for the entertainment and can play few songs but am not a master at composing on my own. ;D

No I don't play any musical instrument but should I ever want to, it's going to be a woodwind instrument like the Saxophone. There's a special way it makes me feel whenever I listen to sounds from it. A different connection to God.
