Damn I did the translation of ANN thread. I trust ICOEthics, so I deleted the ANN thread. I lost almost 3 days to do the translation. I thought it was a legit project. Scammers are everywhere, thanks for finding them. They are starting an IEO on Dobitrade, so I didn't think the project was a scam.

I am only a translator, I was not aware of the fact that the project was a scam. I immediately deleted the thread, as soon as ICOEthics published the scam accusation. I don't think I deserve to receive negative trusts for this.

We changed your feedback to Neutral - and keep in mind there is no next time. So, do your due diligence before opening a thread for any project.

But honestly I don't know how to identify computer-generated images. The project is going to do an IEO on Dobitrade so I thought it was legitimate. I was accepted as a translator (you can check the bounty spreadsheet: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1xxOdHDrx0_8B85B2RPYPcdnA-_CAYGxrLyiEnKcuCaM/edit#gid=152988400) like so many other translators. So I only did my "job". I hope that also witcher_sense changes its feedback, as I am NOT part of the project in any way. I only did the translation. (and it took me 3 days).

The person you are tagged as a scammer is a bounty manager https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=1271586
I think he is not a scammer.

I also lock my translation thread.

What about these two exchange :

https://www.dobiexchange.com/news/detail/1eesc24.html

https://support.probit.com/hc/en-us/articles/360029059071-Origin-ORIGIN-Round-3-Announcement

are they being scammed or they are the scammer?

So an IEO is not a guarantee. Scammer are too smart to got listed. Even worse now the exchange can make a fake project, and in this case those two exchange is working together.

But honestly I don't know how to identify computer-generated images...

Forget about the computer-generated images for now.  What about all other images? they were not generated, those are images of real people and the scammer is stealing people's identity. Do you know how to search for them? There are guides on this forum that teaches you how to search for such images.

The BM created the ANN as well. He didnt do his due diligence, and because of him more people fell into the scammer trap.

There are fake exchanges that wants to scam people, and exchanges that just wants the money (listing fees, transactions fee, etc... They dont care.
And to answer your question, I dont know if they are scams or not, we didnt check. Have you checked if they have a team? legal paperwork/permits, etc..?

Ok let's forget about computer-generated images, but I'm currently the only translator tagged with a neutral trust. I believed in the project, because I thought that an exchange before accepting an IEO would carry out checks. Now I understand that even an IEO is not a guarantee that a project is legitimate. I kindly ask you to remove the neutral feedback, and if you can, send me a message with all the necessary instructions to check if a team is legitimate or not. Thanks.

In this case coinmarketcap.com also listed these exchange without due diligence. Ok I saw dobiexchange and probit had their linkedin and team connected. We didnt find other treads created for this scam project, just yours (Italian), bounty and ANN. We will tag anyone creating threads to promote this project. If you know any other, post it here and they will be tagged by us. As far as removing your neutral feedback, we will not remove it, it is a way to keep a tack in case we find you promoting a scam project again. And you should not worry about your neutral feedback - it doesnt affect your reputation - it is neutral.

You're right, neutral feedback doesn't make a difference, but I've always tried to respect the forum rules, so it does. If you can send me more information on how to find the fraudulent teams, I appreciate it. I do my research before doing the translations. I can't understand how a scam project can do an IEO on an exchange like Dobitrade.

Good that you've made those big warning signs (a little too late if you ask me) but as an additional measure, I would recommend you lock both threads immediately. It's probably said a million times already, but please for god's sake always review/check projects before you decide to advertise or make announcement threads for them.

Hi Everyone,

My name is Mike Chay, the founder and CEO of Origin Foundation. It took me by surprise this morning to get to know the discrepancy of the project team member profile which was provided to us by the workforce company. I deeply understand your frustration that causes the misunderstanding of our project. On behalf of Origin Foundation, we are deeply sorry and embarrassed.

My partners and I started our watch company since year 2000, throughout the years in business we realized the #1 importance of having a complete end-to-end product authenticity process specifically for the luxury goods industry. ORIGIN Foundation was formed to provide the most comprehensive possible product authenticity solutions in hope to solve the world’s counterfeit problem once and for all.

As we are not the expert in the Blockchain industry, we have to outsource and partner with other technology experts to complete certain project stage, while maintaining our core competence and expertise in the luxury industries. It was clearly an overlooked at our end with the lack of deep due diligence on the companies that we partnered with. Once again, we sincerely apologize for such an unexpected incident.

Moving forward, our priority now is to get ORIGIN project back on track in achieving each milestone on a great team formation. Please let us have your full support and blessings. It is only with your full cooperation as ORIGIN Community that we work hand in hand as a whole, together we make ORIGIN a successful project. Let’s make the world a difference.

If you have any proposal or ideas that could benefit and contribute to ORIGIN project, you are most welcome to contact us at Support@Origin.Foundation.

Sincerely,

Mike Chay

Too bad, even though in my opinion your project is quite promising, next time being more careful in choosing team members, this is a very valuable experience for you.

You can write whatever you want, but honestly after the facts that have been proven, your words have little value. Your "whole team" used fake images. At this point, if the project is legit, make a video where we can see all the team members, and also the CEO.

Yeah, I have the same assumption that since they gonna do an IEO in Dobitrade, Origin must be above board and legit. Oh well, let's hope that this is not the start of many fake project that may even do an IEO. Too bad. Good thing that ICOethics has done a good investigation on the project and the bounty and has therefore exposed a scam before it victimized people out of their money and time.

You can write whatever you want, but honestly after the facts that have been proven, your words have little value. Your "whole team" used fake images. At this point, if the project is legit, make a video where we can see all the team members, and also the CEO.

We would NOT trust anything coming from them, especially a video. There is no guarantee the people on the video will be some homeless that got paid to say a few words in front of a camera.

~...It took me by surprise this morning to get to know the discrepancy of the project team member profile which was provided to us by the workforce company.

Typical excuse - blame someone else, some marketing agency, some developer, a freelancer, chupacabra... We lost the count how many times we heard the same thing. Bottom line = SCAM
