Looking at the trading volume and the fact that they are hosting IEOs etc. definitely adds credibility but I've seen them having some serious scam accusations[1][2][3][4][5] in the past.

It could've been some technical problems, as these accusations started to raise up in December 2017 and Jan/February 2018 but it could also not be the same, as some of the users never reported that their withdrawal issues have been resolved.

There are plenty of exchanges that use OKPay, Payza, Perfect Money and other payment methods that Exmo use, you could use them instead. If you can't find any, go with P2P trading. There is no reason to trust them with your money If you have alternatives.

I believe they have some connection to the original admins of the BTC-e exchange. Years ago, it was discovered that BTC-e.nz (a known legitimate BTC-e mirror) and Exmo.com were registered by the same entity. After seeing the failures and legal problems of BTC-e and WEX, that's reason enough for me to stay away.

Previous Scam accusations + Shady connection with BTC-e and Wex in the past? Then these are major factors or reasons why we should avoid this exchange at all cost.

They have some scam accusations too. Search on this forum, you'll find at least 5 threads.

Just be cautious. Even if you don't face any problem, doesn't mean others don't face it.
