Title: Virtual Card: Mastercard or Visa with Bitcoin funding option ?
Post by: Timon0 on June 07, 2019, 01:46:53 PM
Dear All,

I am looking for either Mastercard or Visa VIRTUAL (online based, so no mailing) prepaid/debit card which meets all of the following four conditions:

- can be used for USA resident on USA website merchants so Zip Billing Address is a must to be 5 digit
- if it is Mastercard then it must be SecureCode (this is not cvv!) enabled
- if it is Visa then it must be VerifiedByVisa (this is not cvv!) enabled
- must be able to be funded using Bitcoins via Electrum personal wallet id

I spent a lot of time researching this but so far the most far i came was being able to find virtual card which can be funded via Bitcoins but without requested feature (SecureCode if mastercard or VerifiedByVisa if visa). Said feature is a must to have because merchant(s) require it.

I found a lot of different online virtual card providers but for neither of them all four requests are met.

Your suggestion would be highly appreciated.

Most of these cards use the same providers, so It's very unlikely that you'll find one that has these requirements If the others don't.

I'm curious to know which services have you tried though? because according to this list (https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1DRbTeMCzb4UeXI0YlAzBxMc2u2i0cN_17Ql6eMngK6E/edit#gid=0), Advcash seems to be the only one on the market that offer virtual cards.

Thank you for reply.

Virtual cards are everywhere, even Neteller offers it. Epayservice, UsUnlocked, Veritascard, Swiftpaycard, Ecopaycard and many many more. I found over 50+ providers of Visa and Mastercard VIRTUAL cards which are great alternative for those who don't want to get anything physically delivered. However unfortunately for me, i cannot manage to find a provider who would offer everything i need as stated in my previous message. Even if a card is virtual one, even if it is Visa/Mastercard, even if it can be funded via bitcoins (very rare ones can be, very hard to find), it is completely useless for me if that card doesn't have said (in my previous message) feature enabled. Even if the card would be able to be used by USA residents (zip: 5 digit) then needed feature is a must to have.

which other brands? some examples what are you referring to, where to sign up, would be appreciated. So i can check if really all requests listed in my primary message are met.

One of many providers I found is Payglobel. Adding funds via bitcoin is possible. They have virtual card (either mc or visa) and they support USA residents. However the card is not feature (described in my first message) enrolled so it won't work on needed merchant to make a payment.

@Timon0
I think only banks can issue the cards with 3d secure code but you can take a look at Bitwala and Wirex. Both have a card
Also, Payglobel uses IDT Financial Services Limited to get the Mastercard, so you just need to search on the web for "issued by IDT Financial Services Limited"

I found some
http://easipaycard.com/
https://www.vazivacard.com/en/home.html
https://www.papaya.eu

Didn't check if there is a BTC option btw

LeGaulois thank you for your reply. I appreciate it but with all the respect, I would like to politely remind you that all those three services fail already first request of card: those cards you linked to are physical and not virtual. Less than one second of website review shows this, when you see on the landing page the physical card at the background. In the title of this forum post, first word, says ''Virtual''. The other four requests/conditions, besides having to be visa or mastercard, are defined in my first post.

I will also need this kind of card if possible, but i don't need Secure Code or verified by Visa. But i don't know if you can find one to fill your requirements. I think only local banks can give you card with Secure code security. For now i use only revolut virtual card and sometimes neteller.

Neither revolut nor neteller accept USA details for registration. Local banks may give Secure Code (if card is Mastercard) or VBV (if card is Visa) but local banks don't offer bitcoin funding. Neither virtual card.
