Title: CRYPTO EDUCATION FAUCET
Post by: Prospector_John on June 18, 2019, 10:11:46 AM
A faucet is a place where you can perform a simple task like watching an Ad or scratching an 'im not a robot' sticker in order to get a small crypto reward. This allows you to test-use the crypto for free.  Check https://faucethub.io/BTC (https://faucethub.io/BTC) for more info.

note: i am not affiliated with that website, I want to see if users are interested in doing faucets not just to 'look at ads or click robot scratchies' (which I wouldn't do) but that could in addition provide education on a certain specific topic (which I would do).

If this gets deleted by mods, please tell me where to repost it.

Faucets are to an extent long gone really, very few  crypto enthusiast still perform faucet tasks and I wonder why.
It yields little or nothing, faucets and unprofitable and you do not need to engage in them to gain any cryptocurrency knowledge, the forum affords you the opportunity already, if you'll just read.

Faucets still makes sense to me ,whenever I don't have enough satoshis to send out a particular amount of bitcoin I use faucets ,the rewards are too low but good for transaction fee

The benefit of combining a faucet with some information and educational exercise is that people would actually get some more from Bitcoin than the fraction of a cent worth of Satoshi that they will get from your faucet.  ;)

I still use Freebitco.in because it is a brilliant site and it offers much more than just being a faucet. We need more faucets with a spin and something that would bring faucets back to it's main purpose, which is the introduction to Bitcoin.

Good luck with the project.  ;)

Faucets are not gone in any sense of that word, and they are still here because there is a demand for them, and there is a way for some people to profit from them. Faucet owners who know how to set up faucet are still make profit today, and they have tens of thousands people who are hungry for free coins.

Idea of earn free crypto and learn something in faucet is nothing new, there is one project that is trying to do just that, and tokens of this projects should be soon added to FaucetHub. I'm not particularly impressed with that project, it will probably end like most of faucets who at some point fail to make income and stop paying users.

Of course. but i havent ever seen it done well. pls send me the project

Coinbase is now paying $10 to use their platform.
is it working? idk
new idea? no, AT LEAST paypal that i know of killed it with this technique.
good idea? only for people who already kinda already want a centralized crypto exchange account.

Imagine: You learn this or you cant get your 'member' account badge..

(note i keep using bitcointalk as an ecample, its a good idea but im not really soliciting that notion specifically. I just mean to tie it on to something people already want).

I don't use facuets either bc it's not a good TVM for me personally.

Though i would like to, if maybe to get ctrl Alt Shit Delete Coin ''xxxx''...
Especially if the valuation was low, it had chance to valuate, and the project used the faucet to get readers legit educated in what they do.
i have to do it for free. I would be so much more thrilled to do it for some scratch!!

If you were kind interested, why wouldnt you take pay to read about what you wanna read? its a win win right?
