Dear KuCoin Users,

In order to meet users' demands for new blockchain technologies, KuCoin is happy to announce that we will support projects running on Binance Chain.
KuCoin is also extremely proud to announce that another great project coming to our trading platform. Binance Coin (BNB) is now available on KuCoin. Supported trading pairs include BNB/BTC and BNB/USDT.
Please take note of the following schedule:

Deposits: 16:00 June 19, 2019 (UTC+8)
Trading: 18:00 June 19, 2019 (UTC+8)
Withdrawal: 18:00 June 21, 2019 (UTC+8)

This is potentially huge for any Binance user who is from the US, as they will soon be locked out. Now you are able to trade BNB on Kucoin (https://www.kucoin.com/?rcode=1y6P2) as an alternative

Hmmm what a wise and a greedy move by Kucoin. They do took advantage on such locked out for them to benefit instead even they do
know that its a competitors coin to be listed or supported in their own exchange but well as long money or profits involved then i wont be really surprised.

I mean CZ himself supports the decision and says they would consider listing KCS if it migrates to the Binance chain

It's a business strategy and I know they're trying to use BnB to get USA crypto market. For sure KCS won't be listed without some conditions from binnacle. The binnacle Dex chain is a reference to this. If kucoin plays their card well, they can be on to long term profit and skilling all the way. Who wouldn't want a bite on the world's largest cryptocurrencies Exchange.

I am pretty sure it should be something temporary because if you list BNB without binances approval then you will not be living too long in the market and they will kill you by adding all your coins into their list and giving people zero trading fee on those coins etc etc and will make you go bankrupt very quickly.

However, if they have taken the approval of Binance to add BNB on their list that means Binance has a reason to believe they will not find a solution in time yet they will certainly look for ways to reach to american market as well, maybe it will take some time but in the end they will be capable of starting a new website or find a new way to just focus on american market which is really big for all exchanges, there are millions going from america to binance every single month.

Read the twitter link above... CZ himself is supporting the listing. Also, why would you ever be against the listing of your coin on another exchange? All it does is provide more volume which is a good thing

That is great business strategy and they are trying to have the largest shares of the market. Kucoins is going to really compete with those popular exchanges platforms such as bittrex, poloniex, binance and bitstamp in some years to come. Binance ban in USA is one of the many attacks of USA financial regulatory agencies against bitcoin or cryptocurrencies exchange platform and i believe that time is coming when it will be "a thing of the past".

I have a KuCoin account myself and it’s a great move to add BNB in their trading pairs.

Also, I would like to let all of you know that BNB is also listed in MetaMorph Pro exchange, in case you guys aren’t aware of it. You guys can check it if you want.

I’m just sad that they will no longer server US customers due to some regulatory stuff or so, which is why decentralized exchanges are the next big thing, in which no third party could stop it from operating or having some restrictions or so.

I can honestly feel that decentralized exchanges are on the rise and in great need after this major announcement from Binance to US customers.

But great job, KuCoin!

Because of this, I like buying more KuCoin Shares, been moving well lately, so I guess with this announcement, this helps a lot for the exchange to improve.

And here I thought they aim to be number 1. If they did move to Binance Chain then Binance domination is coming closer than expected. Sounds like they're trying everything that they could in order to bring volume to their exchange, even if it means supporting another exchange.

Well, I guess every KCS holder is happy with this as long as the price increase.

How long before Kucoin bans US users too? :-X

BNB's heyday is probably over anyway. The ride was fun but now that Binance is segregating their markets (killing their liquidity) and the hype around their fake DEX is fading, I'm guessing we've seen the peak and money will move into other up-and-coming markets.

Most other exchanges do this and providing many different coins can bring a great advantage to that exchange. I don't think that listing BNB at Kucoin has a big impact because it is also a good exchange and Kucoin just wants to provide investors who can easily buy this coin in the best way. I personally encourage this and will support other exchanges to do so because I want BNB to be listed at all other exchanges.

The fact that they are adding BNB is important of course because even if its just for a while BNB will be still used and traded by the american users which is a demand and they should never be left out even if its just USA. However, the more important part I have seen in the announcement is the binance chain coins as well, does this mean if binance does IEO and they put a coin on their exchange with IEO funding going to the coins owners, Kucoin will also list that coin as well?

If that is so that right now making a new coin via IEO on binance chain is very lucrative since you get to be listed by both Binance and Kucoin at the same time from day 1 and that is really important, having those connections make a coin worth a lot more than it should and would create a huge hype for it right away.

I wouldn't be surprised, as it's in Kucoin's interest to list the popular coins (more volume/revenue)

Exchange are businesses so come to think that everything that can be listed specially popular ones is really considered.

I do rather believe that there's somewhat mutual benefits or arrangement between these exchangers. What do you think?

Exactly, they're supposed to be competition, but I just they can't resist the money that are going to flow in their system, so why not? So I guess there's no more competition here, or shall we say, when greed takes over, forget about the friendship or competitions, at the end of the day, they are all in the business of making money and that is more important for them.

American traders are really running out of options for exchanges that don't require verification at the moment, even though the Binance ban on users with IPs from the USA can be bypassed simply by using a VPN AFAIK (similarly to Bitmex). Also sucks that Kucoin seems to have much lower volume than Binance does for most of the pairs on the exchange, though this might bring about a small boost.

I currently don't use DEXes for a variety of issues I have with them, though I would agree that decentralized exchanges will become more popular in the future as more and more regulation comes.

They seem to face the same limitations. IDEX started geo-blocking regions and implementing mandatory KYC. At the time, their CEO made a statement (https://medium.com/idex/pragmatic-decentralization-how-idex-will-approach-industry-regulations-8b109212128a) asserting that "none of the existing DEXs are censorship resistant." I think he's right. I don't know to what extent this can improve in the near future, but until it does, things are only going to get worse for US traders. Services will keep banning us. Eventually I wonder if we'll see services clamping down on VPN usage.

Time to really buy some Kucoin for this development, but Idoubt if Binance will really give them much support to do so. If binance does give their support, it might really jeopardize the increase of BNB as people will have some diverted attention, which will lead to diverted investment.

WE really have so many US customers, and this was a wise move for kucoin to have wanted to list BNB and I guess this will be the beginning of their own hype too, I just hope Binance hype is gradually not going to an end because I have been seen great moves by so many exchanges lately which could break the autonomy of Binance.

Clearly there's a support and that's really a good move by Kucoin and that would also make KCS one of the hottest coin to buy.

wow, i have a thought of this. Let's discuss this conspiracy theory.
We all know that, Kucoin is the child enterprise of Binance. Both support each other to become the best 2 exchange developer in crypto market.
Recently, Binance has a huge fan base and businesses are growing very well. Not long ago, they announced the lock of US users' coins and now Kucoin supports BNB transactions.
It seems that CZ wants Americans to focus on buying more BNB in Kucoin to increase liquidity? And then they will raise the level of Kucoin to a new level?

I guess kucoin is beginning to also learn from Binance exchange themselves on how to be a smart player, now most US binance users will move to kucoin for this purpose, and the mistake Binance will be making is to allow any of their users get use to kucoin, because we have lots of us that has never tried to use another exchange before, and moving to kucoin now might make us see some features that kucoin has over Binance.

But for kucoin to have listed binance on their platform, they must have really gotten approval from binance, otherwise binance could sue them for listing their without their permission.

Indeed, they really got the approval from Binance as I can see from what a mate posted above about Binance take on the move of Kucoin to list their BNB. Binance is always showing maturity in their business, and these gestures shows that Binance wishes everyone well, knowing fully well that the step by Kucoin could really attract lots of user to them and make them too popular.

But you see, crypto community is supposed to be a unified one, and not one that would always think of competing with one another, or coming as one to destroy Bitcoin, some of these coin that do claim to compete with others, I usually see them as a childish project really, Binance is really setting a very good record in this crypto word, which is why they will always be respected.
