LG, the South Korean technology company, has filed a patent in the U.S. to offer a complete payment system on future models of its smartphones.

The application for a product called ThinQ Wallet was filed by LG with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office last week and is described in the filing as a software application for mobile phones to enable “transaction authorization and settlement services”.

Is LG planning to hijack the crypto-wallet/phone brand industry with this patent? Because they aren't even the ones who pioneered it when Samsung has launched it with their Galaxy S10 devices last March. I don't think that they need to be greedy with this technology especially if they aren't the ones who even applied it with their phones in the first place, now if they are successful with their patent phone brands will come scrambling on how they will have a unique crypto wallet on their own without copying what LG has to offer.

Dude this is non sense
There is no need to be the pioneer to hijack a market and because a company did something similar it doesn't mean it can have the monopole.
If wallets are patented yes they're unique. Only Samsung can make something like this?

Good news but I would like to say that they should at least make their ThinQ phones fixed first into its bootload issues before proceeding then
it would be perfect  8)
