Title: Gift Card to Bitcoin
Post by: JP23 on July 19, 2019, 08:29:09 PM
I receive a lot of Visa prepaid cards and would like to turn it into bitcoin, what other options besides Paxful are there that don't have insane markups? Any ideas or suggestions would be great!

Assuming they aren't stolen or recharged with stolen credit cards, you can announce them in the Digital Goods (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=93.0) board.

I did have several prepaid cards and I struggled to find a place to purchase bitcoins with. Once they told me the card needs to be issued by a bank and bla bla bla. And since all others needed my identity and I still wasn't sure if they were going to accept the cards I gave up.

You can't even link the card to a mobile app for example since you will probably need to receive a code to the phone number linked to the card...which you can't do...

whenever there is a very high risk of getting scammed or buying something that was acquired illegally, such as it is in this case with your "gift cards" that might have been bought with stolen money or be stolen themselves, people are not so willing to do any trades so you will always be limited to certain options with bad rates and that's only if you are lucky.

It's a very complicated business , i advise you to publish in the forum , you can use a escrow service , to be sure to get not scammed, but it will happen one day or the other be sure, I prefer paxful personally.
