Title: Liquidating My Bitcoin
Post by: yonargi on July 24, 2019, 06:55:08 PM
I have a seed phrase, password, two sheets of addresses, and a paper wallet with a public and private key and a QR code. How do I liquidate my Bitcoin back to fiat?

Import your seed into Electrum (https://electrum.org/#download). What is the password for? If it's a passphrase then go to Options while typing in your seed, select 'Extend the seed with custom words' and add it as the 12th or 25th word. Also, you might need to select 'BIP39 seed'. As for the paper wallet with the QR code, download Coinomi and scan the code with it (create a new wallet and select Sweep). It will be much easier than typing it in manually. Transfer the funds to an exchange of your choice.

As already said, importing the seed into Electrum should be enough to access your Bitcoin. But Bitcoin has no direct relation to fiat money, you have to find an exchange where to do the conversion.

Now.. be careful with that, since most exchanges require KYC documents and, especially if you withdraw into bank account, if we talk about big amounts of money, some banks may not be happy (some may even freeze the account). So you should do some more research and also maybe start with small amounts.

After claiming your coins as explained above, simply use one of these reputable exchange platforms: Coinmama, BitPanda, Coinbase (depending on where you're from and the payment method you're going to use).

Electrum is used to store Bitcoin. There will be no benefits like exchange. So to convert bitcoin into a dollar or liquidity, you have to use the exchanger. Transfer your Bitcoin from Electrum to Bitcoin Wallet. Then liquidate as desired, with the help of Exchangers. For security, I recommend top or good Exchangers.
