Alexander Lipton, a connection science fellow at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and adjunct professor of mathematics at New York University (NYU), has claimed that Libra’s white paper copied concepts for a coin proposed in his academic work.

It's not the first time I hear Facebook accused of plagiarism of concepts/ideas.Although in this case there is little solid evidence I wonder what would happen if it's confirmed that Libra has plagiarised their Whitepaper, taking in consideration all the partnerships and the hype that has been created recently. What do you think?

even though it's true, it will not make any negative feedback for most of investor.
the project will still continue, like nothing happened, because its just a like some of little salt.
and most of them (i guess investor) will say ,"for god sake, who care about some piece of small white paper if behind the project a super company with high trustworty"

That may be unintentional from libra or just a coincidence
I don't think it's unintentional. From what I've read the plagiarism is blatant and like I said Facebook have history of plagiarism accusations therefore this being a coincidence is unlikely.

Investors won't care about white paper plagiarism because Libra is from the almighty facebook teams so they care less
even though it's true, it will not make any negative feedback for most of investor.
Seriously? If the plagiariasm is proven it would at least make the project lose it's credibility.Who would invest in a plagiarised project  ???

There had always been such claims when a large enterprise tries to bring something new.
Cryptocurrency to some extent are similar to each other and the concept of a stable coin based on the prices of different asset and currencies is not an entirely new concept. There have been dozens of such concepts and some of them had actually made it to the market though less famous, they are much more closer to the concept of Libra.

This is a joke, it must be! Because think about the money what they have to pay after the court would recognize plagiarism? Billions of dollars..

Are you joking? that will give a negative impact and look at when tron already accused due to the plagiarism of the whitepaper that already created by filecoin. it was destroying the credibility because it can even make its own roadmap and it's not clear about where that will be doing on.

Well, I don't know the truth about this. However, Libra is very popular and there will be many more people concerning the concept and also the development of Libra. About the acquisition of whitepaper plagiarism, do they have the proof? If they have and they are actual and trusted enough, they can prove to the crypto world and make Facebook be responsible for this situation.
