there are too many projects about exchanges now, and everything looks the same.

do you think there are currently too many crypto exchanges? and when the platform was released did anyone use it?

if seen at this time, there are still many exchanges that do not have trading volume. then why are they still making projects about exchange?

Many of them will either die a natural death or turn to scam. You will realize this is one of the strategy used by many project. they want to have their own native token then later it will be they want to have their own exchange platform. Thank God it has been revealed that many of them are faking trading volumes. Even if you check many of them today, you will realized most token that they listed are dead token. many of them will always running around to find project that they will list so that people can use the platform.

Many of them will die for sure. Everybody wanted to make quick money without much thinking or their intention to scam people and go away. One need to be very careful.

the more exchanges the more intense the competition, even less healthy competition, such as listing tokens or coins that are not clear (ShitTokens). And we must also be on the lookout for new exchanges, understand, study and research the exchange first, because the possibility of our assets being lost is also getting bigger in the new exchanges

I think too many exchanges are coming up and the reason is simple, if an exchange attracts serious amount of users and volume then jt is perhaps the easiest business and money that can be made but you are right market has already become saturated and most of the exchanges are having hard time to attract decent number of users and volume. But it is a free market so we can not stop or restrict new projects but if we take this thing positively i think competition is a good thing and in the end only high quality platforms will survive.

Don't stress yourself about these new exchanges popping out every now and then, there's nothing we can do about it. You can simply ignore those new exchanges you don't want to use. I just hope all these exchanges gets registered first before they start launching.

Yes there are too many exchanges but few good exchanges. In the long run, only those with good strategies and good management will survive. The likes of Binance, Huobi, Kucoin, OKEX, BITFINEX, gate.io are doing great.  It's astonishing  that the crypto space should be more decentralized but 90% of crypto enthusiasts use centralized exchanges more often because most DEX cannot compare with centralized exchanges in terms of trading volume, user interface, swiftness of operation and other vital aspects. Security wise, DEX is better off and we look up to DEX in future with better features.

Some of the new exchanges are already going into extinction, because they could not fulfill the necessary ingredient or requirement of trading, which are most importantly volume and security. If they cannot guarantee these two important attributes, then they are no good.

Indeed, there are a lot of exchanges being created now. This is a niche in the cryptocurrency market that allows to collect investments. There is nothing wrong with this - the competition  makes the weak will leave and disappear. It's a pity that now there are a lot of scammers here.

They are not true exchanges platform, many new exchange just want to get attention when they listed new token after its ICO, especially shit token. I think for this case, we must carefully about new exchange or better we just ignore them. We just choose major exchange for daily use at least we have 3 favourite exchange to use.

There absolutely are too many exchanges out there today. I still use the same few exchanges that I used to use a few years ago because very few new exchanges have features good enough to make me switch to a new site, and I also like to keep KYC to a minimum. I support DEXes but I typically don't use them because there's just not enough liquidity on the majority of them.

As for the reason why new exchanges keep coming out, it's because it must be profitable for these sites to be run; most of them likely make money through listing fees for newer coins or just from fees for buying and selling.

As long as those exchange sites can be trusted and it's not a big problem but the real problem is when the exchange site can't be trusted by us and this is the main problem because the majority of them centralized exchange site. even if there will be a lot of exchange sites will come and i will always stay with the best one like binance because i don't wanna put my money in the big risk by using a small or new exchange sites.

Most of the time and base on my observation, yes there are.
Because they think that they can become better.

That's why we need to be more careful to join in new exchange projects nowadays. With many cases of failed new exchanges, it should be a warning for all people. Not all exchange projects are made for the real exchange purpose, some of them may be just created for scamming people only.

Every coin what to have their own exchange and as many exchange is getting out same as new coins , now I see no reason for too much coin and exchange market as we are only here to play save in the mixed and get little profit we could but many has turn this to scam arena , that is why we see lots of them coming out every seconds with no purpose.

Yeah,,, this is just what people were saying in the year of the crypto winter (2018). Exchanges at first charged a lot of money,,, and coins used to pay at first. But people stopped buying anyway so coins did not want to pay a lot of money. The easier way? Get their own exchange and launch their own listing.

Right now there are lots of new exchanges popping up and they don't have a good volume, but I think it doesn't matter while they are still struggling, I'm sure in the future with the increase in crypto users, the exchange can also go up

More coins mean more platforms but more exchange means nothing. When there was a big exchange that can list hundred of good coins and why do we need to use a new one? Some people argued if there must be a competition between a new one and then old platform but this time the growth of the new exchange site doesn't make sense at all.

Good exchanges will know what they do to attract more investors.

More exchanges still coming. With more having scam intentions. As my bosses have stated, its good to be more careful with the exchange you chose to trade or store your assets. To be better safe, don't store your assets on any exchange.

The more exchanges are, the better. because it creates diversity and gives us many choices to make transactions. Besides, the cost is cheaper for new exchanges.

The exchange sites will continue to be on the increase because when you look at it, its one endeavour that really does not require physical actions in other to run it effectively. With proper processes in place, in terms of infrastructure and controls you are good. Just an admin office to handle the paper works which will only be necessary when activities increases. For me I don't see anything wrong in it just that the control around it. People trust exchange sites with their hard earned resources and they should be able to live up to that expectation.

There's nothing to worry about that. Crypto is about freedom and people making as many exchange as they can is definitely OK but only if they don't scam and obey the regulations.

There really have been a lot of exchanges, but it’s good that we have a wide selection, because someone likes one exchange and someone likes another and this is normal. I do not worry about this, because competition will squeeze weak exchanges out of the market and leave the strongest ones that will improve the quality of their services as a result of competition.

The problem is that everyone believes that the exchange business is profitable. Whereas it is not at the moment. There are fewer customers and more exchanges. Investors and traders do not trust these new exchanges because of hacks and scams. Slowly those who have opened these exchanges and those who are planning to will realize it is a waste of their time as well as money and will close them eventually.

yeah you're right, this is just a new way for scammers to commit fraud. even I doubt if they focus on developing after the exchange is released. they just want to take money from there.

I think that not worth to think about those who about You not thinks.Exchanges will be a lot or a little, what do You care? Personally, I use about 8 exchanges and not interested in new ones.(new-only in the form of exceptions).Not interesting for the user exchange will disappear by themselves.There's no doubt about it.

We have many shit coins in crypto space already and yet many keeps showing up and now same thing is happening to exchanges as well,many new exchanges keeps showing up and after doing few research on the exchanges they are all just same with no new ideas,its better to stick with good old exchanges and if any new exchanges is going to win the heart of many the exchange must prove its worth.

We do have to be careful in choosing an exchanger as a place to trade or store our coins. It will be safer if we choose an exchanger who already has a good reputation such as binance or others. Maybe new exchangers will be able to compete with other big exchangers, but I think it will take time

I don't think there are too many crypto exchanges currently. Each crypto has a tier and not every crypto could afford to be on in good or top tier exchanges.
So there are always some low tier crypto exchanges pop up to shelter those low tier crypto. And it's good to have many crypto exchanges to make sure no monopoly or manipulation.

I don't know, maybe because exchange project can still make a profit, especially if the project is successful, they can easily get money from the transaction costs, withdrawals, trades, etc. And also they can make tokens / coin utilities like BNB, it can also be the reason why they still make projects exchange.

I agree with you, eventually the exchanges will disappear by themselves. so we don't need to care about it. after all there is no advantage in using an exchange that has no trading volume.

If you can imagine how many exchanges had open in the past one year and the state they are now, you will understand their level of unpreparedness. Though we might need new exchanges to recruit new trade invention but I noticed most of the new exchanges eye the success of BNB whereas they have no good team and idea like Binance. Some good new coin are struggling to get rich traders to engage their coin in large volume and even hoard it, more so the big volume exchange at their level demand too much fund to get them listed and this doesnt help startups.

Meh, I don't mind that there are so many exchanges.
I know what types of exchanges I like and the rest I just ignore.
People think that having so many exchanges or coins hurts the market but I disagree.
All of these copy and paste exchanges will never be successful.
You can't just do the same thing as everyone else and think you will magically be successful, especially if you are so late to the game.
But instead of diminishing the market, I think it makes the market mature.
Other exchanges failing solidifies the good ones and makes them stronger.
Plus the competition pushes top exchanges to release more and more good features.

honestly in my opinion there are now too many exchangers and in my opinion it's a bit confusing, yeah I'm confused which one to use because even though everything looks the same but in reality the quality of each exchange is different and the level of security at each exchange, there are many cases of hackers who are hacked, even exchangers even large can be hacked, so how can I immediately trust a new exchange whose volume doesn't even exist yet?

The answer to your question is only that you should be generous, and you need to give them the opportunity and time, if the new exchange is good enough and there are reasonable strategies, they will soon have a chance to prove their value. And I feel that many exchanges are not too bad or boring, it is really a sign for old exchanges, they need to know that they are not unique in this area, if they have no development, they will be ignored by users, new exchanges will gradually kill them, competition is always a very interesting thing to promote progress

We will see many new fake exchanges in crypto space now and i want you guys to know that the perfect way that scammers can take advantage of IEO fund raising is by creating new exchanges,we have to be very careful and at the same time it doesnt mean that we cant see any better exchanges that will win over binance or okex again,i created a post related to this here

I think they have the advantage of exchanging with cheaper and competitive fees. in the future more and more exchangers for me is bad, because investors must be confused to make profitable trades.

I do not trust the new exchanges, They use too many bot trading because they do not have many real users. I only believe that exchanges have appeared before and have real volume

There are so many of them actually and it is a good thing, I remember when we had to wait for a quota to be lifted before we could sign up to Binance and Bittrex in 2017. Now there are a lot of them to choose from, though not all are worth it, the strong ones will survive while the weak ones may die off.

Most of the new projects I see these days are new exchange projects. Some of them do the fundraising of their new exchange and they eventually do not raise enough fund to bring about any meaningful development. This then makes the exchange to become a shit exchange.

Centralized exchange business can be quite profitable if  you make good ones and you know what you are doing.  
However, some people could also be making lots of fake exchanges  to scam people. ... Your funds can be lost forever once you deposit money on the fake exchanges. Or the exchanges could work like real exchange for awhile and vanish with traders funds later

The current trend in crypto currencies are exchange tokens, because if you look at their price development, you will mention that exchange tokens have done better than almost any other altcoin on the market, so I believe this trend will continue, at least till the end of this year.

More exchanges, bigger competition = better services, cheaper fees.
So I do not see anything bad, but maybe exchanges should slowly moving to decentralized solutions to protect themselves against regulations that are coming.

Yes, there will be more in the future because our current exchanges have a different perspective regarding their investor. some people might not be able to buy anything from a well-know exchange because of their residential. That was why lately people trying to figure out a real DEX, an exchange that allows everybody to perform the trade around the world.

I think those many project and new exchange are not all will grow and still alive in the future. I think the reason why they launched new project even if this feature is all the same because like us they also take a risk to earn to the way they know and hoping that their invest will grow and have a good value in a future or in a near future.

It is actually beneficial for customers because all of them one to have a lot of numbers so they are going to adjust to what we want. The smaller the fees and the better the experience will put them to the top.

Exchanges are definitely going to increase as cryptocurrencies begin to gain much more attention from the world. However i would always advise to be very careful on which exchanges you trade on. Some upcoming exchanges offer free trading fee just to lure people and they later shut down the platform, running away with the funds of users.

Yes, there are too many crypto exchanges that have been built already but not all exchanges are good for trading because as you've said there some does not have volume. Maybe we can ask" why people not use this exchange? Why they use the other exchange? Remember that crypto currency is a digital "money" so it is reasonable that they will find an exchange that is very secured because there are many hackers want to hack it. Some people also want to use this kind of exchange because it has a bigger volume or they only accepting legit altcoins and tokens, especially for the traders.

Free zero fee trading exchanges are red flag because every exchanges are able to sustain or maintain their business with incomes from trading fees so how is zero fee trading going to make any sense?

It's because of Binance huge success in the market and also because the investors and traders are growing, developers and investors wants to have a slice of the market, last time if I remember there were at least 10 ICO's  whose platform are exchanged based, most popular of that was

But unfortunately, I don't see any of these new exchanges coming from ICO posed a threat to the top exchange in the market, they are still in the development stage but you can hardly felt their presence.

Exchanges are a multi-million dollar business, but the competition is very stiff, and if your new to this industry you need a very good concept to be competitive.

Although we need strong competition in terms of variety of exchanges, nevertheless the new ones that are springing up tends to be after making profit rather delivering quality services. Currently, charges of exchanges are just damn high for a low trader. We need quality competition and not quantity.

We don’t need too many exchanges to break monopoly of exchanges, if we have 20 exchanges that are quality in the market, I believe that most of them will have a fair share of all the traders that we have in the market and there won’t be anything like some of them having monopoly. It is even because we have too many exchanges now that there is monopoly of power.

Most of these exchanges being developed does not have a real product to offer other than the fees they are after, so they end up not bringing a quality features that will encourage investors and traders, so we end up still falling back to all these older big exchanges, and if anyone is to advise you on an exchange, they never refer to new exchanges but the big older ones.

As you said we need to aware of those and need to be careful sometimes, Because i was one of the victim of that kind exchange site but, They convince me on what they said about the exchange they have. Most of them are good in talk but in the end all they want from you is our coins so dont give all information we have.

In my opinion, you should only choose reputable exchanges in this market because these are the ones that are selected by many people and ensure your safety when participating. Some good exchanges like Okex, Huobi, Coinbase are the top choices in this market and each exchange has different strengths so it depends on your investment preferences.

Most of the exchanges are now closing because of regulations and also because of competition. There are now many exchanges and only few exchanges that are patronizing by traders and investors.

I do not have problem with it. More competitors bring better quality and better user experience to the market.

Competition really exists in the crypto industry with so many exchanges there are some closing also. Due to the lack of volume and no traders. Even though there are so many existing exchanges our own responsibility to do on trades with good and reputable exchange. This way when we do buy and sell crypto we're secured and our funds are in good hands but of course, do not leave huge funds in the exchange for security purposes.

Exception can be made for a new decentraled exchange which has the code published on github (open source) or any regulated centralized exchange that's confirmed under government. Otherwise any shady new exchange that's just pops up out of nowhere even with anonymous owner is definitely a big no.
I do agree that more exchange can shape the market to be more competitive and therefore speed up the innovation as well as bringing better quality. However a shady exchange could also blend in easily if the exchange market is too crowded of a new exchange. At the end of the day it's up to the people to choose their preferred exchanges.

I completely agree with you, now there are too many cryptocurrency exchanges and the most important problem is that traders use only the most top cryptocurrency exchanges for trading, and therefore there are almost no or no traders on other medium and little-known exchanges and because of this, on such medium and little-known exchanges trade only bot.

Not all of exchanges can be trusted because there are also scam and worthless exchange. Recently, there are exchanges that are been hacked; it is one of the proof that not all of exchanges should be trusted.

Everyone doing this with the hope of making their project successful even if there are lot other same service available but if they just have the same thins as old one then no people will pick their service,they have to add something better to convince people to start using their service.

In my opinion, we do not need so many exchanges, we just need 10 solid ones. But right now, there are no ten exchanges that are holding the same level as Binance or Huobi are doing. It is extremely hard to gain so much customers and to keep the service level on a high spot.

I'd say you should just ignore any new exchanges for now until they prove their worth, we have too many exchanges already and they are mostly full of fake volumes, watch trades, bots, it will be wise to stay away from them and remember that IEO is trending now and many scammers can go for exchange too

Ignore them all and focus only on respected, solid exchanges. Because definitely any of these exchanges won't last too long here.

There are a lot of crypto exchanges and you can find it in google search, and it is also useful for people if they have the opportunity to offer to attract traders, such as a sign up bonus.
This is due to the potentially huge profit (Especially in Listing fee). Similar to the Binace news where $ 20,000 is earned daily.

Although I don't like KYC very much, for new exchange KYC is mandatory. I don't use new exchange without listed my earned coin. Old Exchange is holding top volume where  new exchange is out of 100 even ready share their earned profits. Huge exchange is running even more new is coming everyday.

Even if the numbers of exchanges continue to increase the main category is the quality of the service that they can offer. During this times its hard to trust new exchanges because of rampant fraud before they can gain traders trust, they have to be seasoned and achieve good feedbacks from users.

according to data of CMC , there are 20k exchange , but when we see on coingecko , just about 390 exchange.
probably coingecko not listed a new born exchange.


of course because of its lucrative profits, they just think about dialy profit from people using their exchange,but doesn't have any idea how to promote their exchange, and also people not stupid anymore  tempted by the benefits offered.

I think projects like this it's a classic scam. Just promises that the exchange will be faster/better then most large exchanges and you just need invest some money. In the end you get nothing.

Crypto space is really cluttered. So many exchanges, wallets and ICO. More the exchanges more is the risk of frauds and scams. My personal opinion is that crypto needs regulation to cut on the rise of exchanges. People are not educated enough to evaluate such exchanges and get scammed. This brings out the bad name for cryptos. Regulations are the only way out of it.

Which is also allowing shady exchanges to come out and establish their foothold. At least regulation meant that scammers would also be less or face legal consequences. Now being unregulated and a large number of exchanges there to choose from, you have an assortment. But how many can you really trust?

Those who have verified accounts on the older exchanges still tend to use them. Newer exchanges are nothing but dumping grounds for bounty hunters, who are the sole reason why they exist. They need a place to dump their shitcoins because they dont care about the project and had come in only for their money. Then there is nobody buying their tokens and they consider the coin to be scam. Pretty funny. :D

I rather had 100 no volume exchanges then all this high volume wash trading i see, like these exchanges that are low in alexa ranking but somehow having a billion dollar of a day volume without any noticeable market makers and their walls.
But yeah, i myself often seek obscure low volume exchanges to find lowcap gems that aren't anywhere yet.

There are still a lot of exchanges in beta like IronX Xera Bitmillex and Adab, and they are all just waiting for the right time to launch, I doubt if they can compete with the top exchange in the market, we have already a lot of exchange in the market, and there are already local exchanges launching in every country, this is because Cryptocurrency is the new market and every one wants to take a share in the market.

those exchange have cool names but it will make them more cooler if their service is better than the existing ones   . in what site do you get this source ? good to know that there are many reserve projects on the crypto space  .this is only a sign that crypto is only starting yet and many good more things to expect  .

Adab Solutions is very likely a scam too. Be sure to check out JollyGood's thread on Scam Accusations for the same. They now have some red trust on their profile page too.

In general a new exchange coming up dont make a difference unless they have something special that others dont, or a market where cryptocurrencies are available but not being traded regularly. The problem is also authorities pouncing on such exchanges but most end up having some sort of balance with them.

But be careful of where you are putting in your money. Not every new exchange is trustworthy.

The last time a new exchange was released and could be trusted was during the time of kucoin exchange and after kucoin group, I don’t think we still have any exchange that has been released without the intention of scamming people. I am not even sure that any of these old investors will ever even look at new exchanges with all the experiences that they have in the market.
 
Most people that usually go for new exchanges are new cryptocurrency users and investors who lacks the knowledge of these old exchanges and those who are too lazy to make research, which is why most of those new exchanges don’t even get the real volume that they need, and even if they fake volume, that would still not attract any of these old users of cryptocurrency.

Talk about Adab, yes they have been labeled as scam site and I do believe that they are, I really don't like it when they deduct 80% of bounty hunter's rewards, but they are still on it, I read on their telegram that they are going to launch middle of November, I have second thought on their platform because of the reputation they've lost, they just want to miss the opportunity to become the first Islamic exchange, that is their motivation, but we'll see how they are going to build their reputation.

Some the developers do exchange project because they know how big money will be involve, as you can see not all this exchanges will be successful if they lack of volume, no users of their exchange,then it will gone like a bubble. If this developers want to built like a exchange project they need a lot of PR and give assurance that their exchange will be on top like binance,bittrex and so on.

I totally agree with what you say, but in my opinion, for now the new exchange platform will be very difficult to develop because users will prefer an exchange platform that already has a lot of trusts from its users so far, of such as binance, yobit and even exchanger forkdelta level though, because we know if all three platforms have a large trading volume, and a high level of security, maybe one way for a new platform to increase volume is by collaborating with the current IEO project.

This is an open market if the dev has the budget or the community is supporting the developers, he can always set up one anytime, it's better that we have many, so we can choose the best exchanges that can offer the best features, security, and we don't have to sign up to these exchanges as long as the coins that we want to trade are here, if it is not, we can just skip it.

we are almost at the end of the year, and the problem remains the same... too many exchanges for the available volume, too many people trying to scam others throught an supposed new exchange, too many similar products...

Good thing if a coin will have more potential exchanges to cater all their orders and soon increase the numbers of purchases in that specific crypto. The results will be positive and I think more great outcomes will follow through. Once a coin increases a good price, demand will also have a good outstanding growth factor to gain a sustainable value.

Problem remains same because the group of people promoting them is same and are so blunt that they would never understand that bounty hunting is worthless now and they need to find out other methods of making money than depending on them.
Truely they are using the efforts of bounty hunters to promote their scams and projects that would never actually be developed into anything and is based on vaporware. So its best to stop doing them. But I doubt any of them would actually read these threads and boycott all bounty hunting.

Operating an exchange, even a small one can be extremely lucrative.
Crypto is a multi billion dollar industry, so it's no wonder that everyone wants to profit off of it. It's getting ridiculous indeed, but I'm sure that eventually we'll see a huge move over to DEX's since the vast majority of people wants to hide their identity when the tax man comes.
Only reason centralized exchanges is in business is because of FIAT-on/off ramps, and convenience, something a lot of DEX's is working on currently with implementation of stable coins etc.
I believe Blocknet will be one of the major players by next year when they allow their users to trade over a litewallet, making the actual exchange proccess way easier.

there are good and bad things from many exchanges:

1 the good thing is, competitive exchange competition. so exchange must increase their value to grow in this space

2 the bad thing is, too many exchanges ofc too many shit project too.

IMO, there are currently too many exchanges and many that I don't think are really used by traders or investors.

if asked why new exchange projects continue to emerge??  I think it's just business competition and new challengers who want to try to get a market that is dominated by large exchanges.

Now more and more exchanges are being put into use, but there are few exchanges with real trading volume. Exchanges without users will eventually be shut down, so the key to the survival of an exchange is to attract investors to participate in trading.

Everything related. The scam project will be gone if people, especially bounty hunters become smarter in choosing projects. The new exchange has recently opened widely to new tokens no matter if it's shittoken too.
I will not blame a bounty system that is difficult to be boycotted or eliminated, but at least make the scam project realize that people are aware and prefer projects that are trusted, in order to reduce scam projects that will emerge.

Then you don't have to register on the other exchange if you already have your favorite exchange so you don't have to confuse in where you will trade. By using one or two exchanges to trade will be enough for you to make a profit, but if you want to use more than 2 exchanges, then you need to search which exchange that is fit what you want. But be careful, many exchanges require you to completed KYC, so if you don't want to send any document, you should find the other exchanges.

If we do try to compare the number of bounty hunters now and to the past then we do really see some significant change in numbers but not totally being depleted out.
As part of fact where even we do talk about choosing the most legit and good project is hard af. New exchangers do keeps on popping out due its owners believing on getting
some slice of the market share but if we do think of logically we dont need more numbers but we do need the quality of these exchangers.

Scam projects will remain even then. Because the concept of ICO is itself a scam. Nothing can be the next bitcoin as promised by many ICOs. Also people look for easy gains which is again a false pretense.

Bounty hunters keep complaining like kids if they dont get place to dump their coins.

Do you think the project owners scare if their motive was to scam someone in the first place? Only the people who are taking part in those projects will have to be careful. Just because a new exchange listed the coin does not mean its legit. Its to make the public happy that the coin is trading, no organic growth actually happened. This is the case with almost every ICO coin.
