when patience is being tested,
what are you doing in this market, is your routine still the same as usual or change other options?
selling at a low price is the same as selling a loss, and that is not a good solution. if you are a market player, you will know how to survive or take advantage of the market in any condition.

this is the experience that I experienced and I do now,
With the price of altcoin falling a lot now, I ventured to do CL and immediately bought it cheaper and made several short-term trading times with a slight difference in the hope that I would still make a profit (albeit slightly) to recover the CL losses I did and add the number of tokens I have, so that when the price rises again I will get more profit.

Most likely you are title is true. My patience have been testing mode. I have bought some altcoin those are almost 5X down now. But still I am holding them instead of sell in lose. Likely will never sell them until recover my buy price. For that reason I have taken a break from trading. But what I believe, most of newbies (traders) likely lost their patience and sold their altcoin. And obviously they will be in lose now.

What I learned is diversification is not only a tool to increase the profit but also to contain yourself.
If you have diversified investments, even if you are losing in some, you'll be making a profit from others. Leave alone the number, tracking them all would just make you occpied and let you take the descisions slow and calm.

Routine changed. Before, I would sell at a loss and try to look for another coin to trade to maybe recover my losses. Now, I try to ignore and not trade at all. If anyone is planning to follow what I'm doing, please make sure that you're holding a crypto that you know will survive for long.

This is easier said than done but it's true.

I will leave the market for a moment. after I start to calm down a bit and have the energy I'll come back. but I will not buy, but to see the situation whether it has changed or even become worse. this is what I always do, when I'm stressed out at the bear market.

When the market condition is challenging for the traders then it is better to stay away from trading when you can't able to handle the risks or don't have enough capital to out that into risky condition.But the real trader will get more profitable on the challenging conditions.

If there is something I have learnt the hard way in this space is never to struggle with trend, it would be better if you can just start out of the market for now and take some fresh air and come back refresh, not every trade would make you money and with the way most Altcoins is performing now, it is better to keep your money than lose it

Well, selling at a low price might have two reasons. It's either there's is FUD or for an emergency reason.

Im a full time altcoin investor and i know how to survive this type of market condition for example i have few coins that gives me montly rewards through POS mining so i use that income to survive and keep holding my altcoins till altcoin season returns

If you dont have anyway to survive this present market condition it will be very hard to be a longterm holder,i suggest you should invest in POS coins or learn trading

I doubt if there is anything like market player or studying the market trend. All I see in this major cryptocurrency trading is luck. You may be lucky that the price starts rising after you buy making you make a huge profit and you can also be unlucky to be at loss.

I really don't panic at all whenever we're on a bear market. We're not on one as of now but everything is kind of stable. I just shift my attention to other things such as going over top exchanges like Binance and look for quality coins (https://www.contentos.io/?utm_source=lx) that I can invest to for now. There are a lot there that are still making major moves like signing major partnerships even though the market isn't looking good which is a sign of them not just after the money. Anyways, you have to play smart and not get weak-hearted to sell when all you're seeing in the market is red.

Patience is not the only thing what do you need, you have to know when a loss is loss. its not the best to wait and wait and wait. not every investement will turn out in a win if you wait long enough.

I'm still trading crypto currencies. Not holding a bag of any coin. I'm trading what ever coin available based on the trading fundamentals. Not much in profits but something is better than nothing.

You should have some plan, some strict strategy when you invest in crypto (any other investing instrument as well). Making fast decisions and changing your plans constantly when watching the price charts is a very bad idea.

i lost the rise from july because i thought will go higher, now i am in minus :-[ . first and last lost. when i see profit i am out. what increase also decrease so not good choice to hold long term.

I agree that right now our patience is being tested. There are options where we sell when prices fall and lose or stay afloat with the risk that the price may fall deeper. Or prefer not to sell because we plan to hold in the long run. But if we hold good altcoin with great liquidity, I think we can hold it for some time to come.

Instead they will earn, most of it they lose because they put their emotions on their trading... They dnt even think that whatever happens it will still go up... This is how their patience are tested... Sometimes too, I bought on higher price then suddenly the price dumped... What I'm doing is I just set my sell orders then leave it... So I can find another ways to earn profits.. In starting a crypto world, one should have a lot of patience... It will really test your patience in crypto...

when patience is being tested with lonely market conditions like now I prefer to move my funds to a stable coin. I agree with you, it's a good thing to be patient, but atimes being patient is not the best way. I remember holding some tokens of an abandoned project whose value was on the decline. On checking my portfolio one afternoon, I found out that the price was on the increase, I checked on the telegram group and saw a post of someone who is not an admin saying that the project has been sold out, I suspected a pump and quickly sold out 75% of my holdings, that was my best decision so far.

Routine depends a little because the focus is split. Certainly not selling at a low price. I prefer hodl to reach the target. With the rest of the Btc I played on other alt coins, looking for profits even if only small.

Our patients still being tested for a few years ago because the market is not back to the highest price. We are staying at the lowest price, and sometimes I wonder how long we should wait for this again. The market needs longer time to be back to the high price, and I don't think that we will see it in the next month because it seems, the price still stays at a rate now without going to break another higher price.

I made another option to anticipate a big loss by selling it and then buying it at a lower price with a large amount. It's better than holding it longer at the previous purchase price

Im saving my fiat and avoid to entry in altcoin. Im join group with to much pro trader and they sharing what they know so we can take care each other but basically im not followers,im also look at the market condition. If look not profitable and to high risk i will keep my fiat and waiting momentum. At this time im more focus in bounty or airdrop.

As of now, I'm still on stage of learning on day trading. In fact, it is still difficult to apply day trade to get profit

in the exchange. Though, we may get profit but not huge. So its true that our patience will be test through this things.

You did the right thing even I also implemented that strategy when the market was unstable, I trade every day with bitcoin because the price of bitcoin has risen compared to other altcoins. on the other hand I am also still patient with long-term investment and do not change it to other options unless I see my coins there is no price development maybe I will exchange it for a better coin.

While you are patient, you also must be wise. I have always believed that a coin, even if it us called sh*t, will still pump someday, but that is now a believe made wrong these days. Market has been behaving like this for many weeks now this may indicate two things either there is accumulation going on that will result in massive pump soon or the interest of investors and buyers is low at the moment and the low volumes are causing this slowness in the market but personally im more of the first view where i think it is a matter of time and market will break upwards and everyone will be smiling again hopefully.

Right now am only trading one coin so I can grow a bag big enough to take to Nexo in order to get a loan. If I can do that within a month, then I can start building collateral in crypto again, while Bitcoin and Eth are at lower prices. The best thing is to be able to get a loan when BTC AND ETH are low so when the prices go up again you can pay off the loan with pure profits and end up with even a bigger bag, than just by taking the crypto home to live and survive on which many of us are doing right now. Do you really think that your patience will one day turn all your shit coins to some awesome coins because you kept on holding it and had a hope for it? Lol, nope. That won't be happening. Stop focusing only on patience and start looking for alternative ways to make profit out of the altcoin market in short run.

Its seems we are just running around in circles, history will repeat itself and the next altcoin season many new investors will pour money into crypto again, im expecting this after bitcoin halving in 2020, my advice is do not hold shitcoins, the consequence of holding shitcoins will be bad in the next altcoin season

Patience is really important here and we all know that. Some are saying they should dump their tokens in some exchange because it is shit coin or what but for me as long as market is good there nothing else to worry about because downfall is normal here. We should wait for the right time that the market recovers and so that we can trade or buy in a good way. We are really tested by the volatility of the crypto itself. We should be used to that and just chill and continue to support cryptocurrency as it recovers from dumping.

I do not understand why the current altcoin market conditions are very difficult to grow and most products do not have high prices when entering the stock market. Some people mix the strategy “being patience” and “not using stop loss”
Patience is good at bull market. At bull market you can jump on a coin from top and that it can go accumulation period. And after accumulation it will increase the TOP.
If you be not patient and sell your coin at accumulation stage you will start to say “I sold Coin pumped”. If you hold the coin and waiting accumulation completed you can sell the coin in profit.
But, If we are in a bear market, and if you think “patience is the key” you can lose all your fund slowly. At bear market using Stop Loss is necessary for reducing the risks.

Firstly, after buying a coin, i setup a stop loss as a precaution 4% below the price, but if I forgot to set up a stop loss and the coin fell too low, I never panic. If I think the decline is temporary and the price will rise again soon, I buy more at low prices, If I think otherwise, I sell the coin and wait patiently until it reaches the next support level. I buy again when the support level. if it break that support level down, I sell again and wait patiently for the next support level. This is exactly the way my trading strategy is in the bear season.

For me personally, it depends on the coins that I hold, if based on what I observe the coins will be difficult to recover and increase, then I will choose to sell them and hold other coins that I think can still recover. And the thing that I do when the market is red, maybe I only trade a small amount.

Selling at low price is too late, i would sell my coin once the price decreased 20%. Although i sell at loss, it will be better than sell when the coin have no value anymore. When you are a market player, or trader i would say, you need to know when you must buy or sell, not holding the coins.

You can cut loss at that point as 20% is just a small percentage here in crypto.

Nice one! Setting limits is a good practice especially for investors like us which deals with volatile market. If you leatn yo know when you should exit to prevent further losses then of course you should also learn how to exit when you finally made some profits. What I do is withdraw my holdings once it doubles or at least half doubled depending on how lively is our market. I am more of a long term holder, and I have converted most of my altcoins and tokens to BTC/ETH. So all these fluctuations don't matter for me. But I am also not holding on to all of my coins. I am offloading small fractions at regular intervals (irrespective of the price). I am holding BTC for almost 6 years and my opinion is that time has come to sell at least some of my coins. I will be holding on to the vast majority, but I would say that there is nothing wrong in selling some 10-15% per year.

And from my experience, I would say that selling at a low price is not the same as selling a loss. Because you don't know about the future prices. Most of the time, you expect the prices to go up, so you are not prepared if the prices go down suddenly. And this has happened to me earlier. First in 2015, and then again in 2018. So if someone tells me that I should not be selling my coins at 8K levels, I'd tell him that a few months back the prices were around 3K and the current levels are much better when compared to that.

I am not so sure I share the same sentiment, it is true that people are often told that holding their coins is a good idea but there are many cases in which the best thing you can do is to accept a small loss now than a larger loss tomorrow.

And when it comes to icos this is even more true, the market of icos is in the middle of a crisis, one of which I do not think it will recover, then investing and holding any coins coming from icos is not a good idea.

I am very sad to your story you should sell it at 20k$ or at least half of it and you can hold the other half . If you just get it free don't expect to much and increase the price base on your expectation not all the time will be in favor to you.

I've never hesitate to withdraw some of my bitcoin and altcoin whenever I need fiat, it's better than to go out to your room and rob someone for you to have something to feed yourself or your family (that's gross). We are working 'till 4 AM (sometimes) to have the financial support we need in our daily lives, we don't need to starve ourselves out just because you are thinking about your profits you could make in the long run, believe me, you should worry more about your health.

But what I do is buy at the lowest price of the coin I hold. This way I can recover my losses and still make a profit in case the price goes up. Selling it while you are in the middle of losing is not a good idea. Because you will only lose more in case the price goes up.

At this moment selling now might result to loss as most coins bought earlier has gone down in price, so my advice is that, coins bought earlier should be held, because selling now will amount to loss, so this is the best time to hold and wait for it to get to your buying price or above., but one thing we have to do is always buying good coin ,with that even in dip, you will worry less.

That would be your greatest regret if you sell your coins/tokens now. Let's take it easy as there's a lot of investors out there just waiting for the good news before they will reinvest or invest. This is exactly what I said to myself when I bought a token (don't wanna mention names) and the token price kept falling after it was listed, kept telling myself that I would be selling at a loss, that token was worth $0.01 when I bought it and I was debating with myself when it was at $0.005, I felt bad to lose 50% of my funds and I kept holding.. fast forward to today, that tokens has 4 zeros before any other digit and I am still holding, I am not holding now because I think it will do well again, I am holding now just out of stubbornness because the token is useless, what I am trying to say is that we should always know when to hold and when to sell and move on even if we are losing, don't hold out of stubbornness when you see the project sinking.

If bitcoin and potential altcoins were able to not only survive through them but set a mark of 20k dollars and so, this can happen again.    Trading with other coins is the best way to keep bitcoins by holding it when the value is getting lower. i never panicked easily when i see the fallen price of my coins that i hold. especially on bitcoin. i bought it and hold it since january 2019 and sold it at last month. i have so much profit from my patience. no matter what altcoins do you have, most of their price will pump if bitcoim is pump too.

Every time I buy altcoin, I often think twice to make sure everything is safe when investing because a lot of altcoins are highly volatile and make us a lot of risk if we choose that coin.

I think everything in crypto business is a risky task, and patience is part of it. I am more of a longterm holder and i do not worry much about dips and corrections because i am quite sure that once longterm bulls will be here the market will grow unstoppably and the price of top coins will grow massively everyday, it is just that i will wait for such market and will take partial profit when the market will have gained to my liking and there i will take partial profits because i have been holding for very long so taking some profit is also due.

Its only normal for Alternate Cryptocurrencies value to start at a low price since not all of them started strongly favored. That means that the Cryptocurrency have the opportunity to grow and improve their platform since we can see from different Cryptocurrencies that when they started out so high, the users are panic selling their Crypto's to gain that profit instantly since they are sure that the value will drop from there. So yeah, patience is really necessary if we want to gain profit.

I didn't do much change apart from investing in the long term. but on the one hand I started trying to take short-term profits through several Defi projects. I know this is more risky, but it is not a problem as long as it is not greedy and comes out after getting enough profit from the Defi project.

I'm not really a day trader so my patience is not more tested than a few weeks ago. Though it feels like at the moment there are not so much promising projects going live than before.

I regret hodling on to my cryptos when their prices are going down. Hoping that I was just a short drop and will go up again. But unfortunately their prices never went back. Now I have a bag of shitless cryptos. Hopefully the next bull cycle some of them will still be in the market so I could somehow get even with my investments.

Regret always comes too late and that is something you should not remember, because new opportunities for some good and popular Altcoins are always open for everyone to try when it comes to investing than you keep hoping for Altcoins that have dropped in price and are very difficult to return rise under any market conditions.

I never sell when the market is bad or if its in a bear run because that would just be losing. I only sell when the market is going down when i feel like theres no hope for the project, better sell it than hoard useless coins.

As a trader it is not good when you involve your emotions because you might do an irrational action when you trade. So, whenever my patience is getting tested I spend less time in crypto and focus on other stuff. Then I come back to crypto again once my head is clear and ready to make rational decisions.
