Title: 2014 .01 BTC Microsoul Physical Coin - Sealed Hologram
Post by: Cryptovice on August 13, 2019, 06:32:17 PM
2014 .01 Microsoul. Not sure if it's loaded, but the hologram is in tact. Would need to peel to confirm.

Taking offers.

You are better off peeling the coin and claiming the BTC if it is there.... might not be!!!   No one trusts Microsoul keys/address pairs anymore.

Any numismatic value in the coin itself?

It's a series 2, which is a rarer variety than the series 1.

https://www.cryptoitems.com/item/001-btc-2014-microsoul-coin-series-2

50 or less of these coins were produced, and many of them were initially peeled (due to the private key issues).

I believe the numismatic value is higher than .01BTC, and agree funding can't be trusted.

I'd argue not to peel the coin because it will loose its numismatic value, and you may not ever be able to redeem the value.

What would a price be based on that?

And this is exactly why these coins are worth about $20 or less....

I'll offer $30 shipped to MJ

I agree with you and that's why I haven't peeled it. Super rare and a popular piece of Bitcoin history, despite the funding questions.

Have you considered an auction starting at zero?  Probably best way to determine market value for this coin.

Of the other 6, how many priv keys had the .01 btc?

That has got to be the worst of most of the stories I've heard of.  So gravitate just slapped a sticker on the coin and sold it loaded.   >:(

I met Gravitate along with Zepher, LC and a few others at Coinfest '18 UK.... He didn't look thrilled to meet us, in fact he asked me while shaking his hand if I was going to smash my glass of beer over his head. :D

After assuring him I would not, Zepher then told him, "Nah, I know you're not a scammer, you're just fucking incompetent as fuck"...  To which he agreed. (I should also note that while faking some major injury with crutches, almost wearing a disguise, and also keeping his last name off the EthBits (Scam) Presentation he coordinated, I was quite surprised he dared to show his face anywhere - I guess scams don't catch up to people in the EU like the USA. ::)

Does it count as a scam if he had no malicious intent to steal/loss funds?

That was his point.... However... I still believe he is a scammer, maybe not by his coins, but if you do some serious digging, you will put 2 and 2 together correctly! ;)

Edit off - topic, shouldn't have replied, sorry! .... ;)

the other six had the correct amount in the private key.
