Title: Should I do early private investment? Have any one done it? Is it safe?
Post by: Tokenberry on August 14, 2019, 06:33:21 AM
Hey folks, I am new to all these investing thing have bought some coins to experiment and that is all about it.

I was checking the Beginner section on this forum and came across this post: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5174705.0 (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5174705.0)

I checked the platform they mentioned on that post no need to give the names, and seems like their project is on Alpha, contacted their CEO and had some talk with him.

Basically he told me about their vision and showed me their whitepaper, both looked legit to me. then I asked if they have ICO or something and then he said no.

But instead he said they do private investment prior to ICO from a better rate. I have never done this and I don't know this thing is something that I can trust.

Have you guys a made a private investment to blockchain company or technically a future altcoin. If you guys can share your insights would be grateful!

Cheers!

i wouldn't do it and i have been around for 5 years, and although i don't claim to be an expert but i have a lot of experience. you are new and you definitely shouldn't  do something like that. start from "regular" investment in the market that you can see by trading coins that have some history which you can analyze instead of giving your money to something that has no history and you don't even see any product. not to mention that so far none of these projects that raised funds, whether through ICO or private investing or any other method, none of them have ever been successful in the long run.

Anonymous investments holds advantage as we as highly risk but chances of scam is high when the project is looking for private investors so you can avid that project if you really care about don't want to lose your money.

Becareful pal, make sure the CEO has past history in crypto space and the teams are professionals, don not invest in projects that the teams are new to crypto world, without enough experience the project will fail later on,i think what you need now is to learn more about how to detect good ICO projects

Well, one thing you need to take note is that projects with websites and team profiles conduct scam and fraudulent activities.

So basically; you need to focus on the authenticity of the project and it’s chance of success prior to investing

Although everything in life is all about risk, but private investment is what I would not so much consider for myself, and the only private investment that I can ever consider is the one that would be within my region , where I would also know the team and developers in person, and if possible sign some other documents with them, if that would not be possible, then I would rather just do the normal regular investment, better I risk the investment I would be able to monitor easily, because most private investment, you don’t get to monitor them that often.

Better still, to be on a safe side, it will be good if your put all your eggs in same basket, I think that you should invest little in it for a start and see how it will perform, while you also make investment in a regular one.

So many fake platforms have claimed if they have enough expert in the crypto development but a lot of them are liars.
It much better not to do any private investment until you can get various feedback from the users, this is much better rather than betting all your money in the risk.

I have made private investment in the qdao blockchain and i got 50x return instantly but this must be done with a lot of research.
