Title: What should i do?
Post by: StackItUp on August 29, 2019, 06:15:39 AM
I have an auction ongoing.
But some kids (drug addicts) tagged me red.
Red means not trusted person. And now i want to ask, how can someone became not trusted when you never asked someone tu trust you, lol.
I use escrow or send first.
Simply telling all my effort to contribute in this forum collapsed.
I have paid membership, have bought, sold items on forum.
Had no issues.

What should i do with my auction that is ongoing? https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5178766

I know nobody is going to bid on items from a red tagged seller.
Should i freeze an auction until my feedback is solved?
Its not fair to keep it running.

Though it is a separate instance from your auction, you were clearly trying to pass off the work of others as your own. This is what earned you the red trust, and deservedly so. Also, calling people who pointed out your lies "drug addicts" doesn't look good. You got caught in a lie and are failing to own up to it.

Ok ill share another work in progress so you can see it is not done with any of computer softs
Hand made progress with coal, chalk and eraser only.

Since you physically make portraits how will you send the portraits to different countries ? or will you only send the picture online and what are your estimate charges for this service ?
Thank you for your interest.
Answer is : by post. Simple.
I can send it worldwide, in a hard paper tube. It will arrive with out damage.
Hand made. And its simple to verify as 1,2,3 if its a pc grafics print or coal on a paper, right?
Be confident. As i said for first work or few we will accept a tip only based on your happiness- after receiving your order.

This is the work of Adrian Moraru - another very accomplished artist about the same age as Monica Lee too - both have been doing this type of art most of their lives.  You were clearly trying to pass of their works as examples of your own; even thanking those who complimented you on your "work" in this thread.

Have you read the whole thread or just reposted those kids replies?
Open scam accusation if there are victims. If not- dont act like no brainer.
I wasnt selling those drawings, i wasnt passing them as my own.
It was clearly stated THAT I CANT SHOW MY PREVIOUS WORKS DUE TO PRIVACY.
I HAVE 0 FEEDBACK
I AM NOT ASKING MONEY UPFRONT
AND I AM OFFERING A SERVICE WHERE PEOPLE COULD ORDER A PAINTING.
I WILL MAKE IT BY HANDS AND DELIVER IT WORLDWIDE WITH OUT PAYMENT. FOR VERIFICATION AND TIP ONLY IF YOU HAPPY WITH IT.
explain me, how someone becomes a scammer by dojng so.
Calling people drug addicts is at the same level as calling someone a scammer who offered some hand made payntings without a payment.

Nutildah, check your feedback dude. 3/4 are red. I dont asked advices from scammers (as visible in your feedback)

I should keep my auction because it has bids?
But maybe thats the tactic, to down vote a member and buy the stuff he is selling at very low price because red tag keeps my auction without new bids. Correct?
Some detectives here leaves red feedback without going deeper in to situation.

But you clearly stated that the work of Adrian Moraru was your work in progess (means you are drawing that work), why did you said work in progress with an portrait which isn't your works?

I said another work in progress. For dumbass to understand how such a technique is done. I clearly stated more things, but you cought up just that one, right?

Same question stands. I wait for a reply from mods/trusted members.
What should i do with my auction?
Red tag someone and get stuff he is selling at bergain? Thats the plan?
I am the one who are getting scammed here. Thats how i feel now.
This community is based on ranking. You can be mentaly ill but if uou are 16 years old legendary member who spends most of his time playing counter strike - trusted.
The one who offer a service that you can pay only AFTER you receive a product is a scammer?
Logic?

I'm not looking into the feedback here, just the auction, as they are 2 separate issues. You should honor your auction for a couple reasons. It's received valid bids and interest. It doesn't look good if you plan on trying to continue to hold auctions if you cancel it because of your feedback. The people bidding on your item know enough to do their research and due diligence, so leave it up to them to decide if they continue in the auction, so far you're the person to bring this up.

I would also say if you are worried you won't receive the amount you want for this item because of the feedback issue, you should set minimum bid amounts at the beginning of the next one.

Edit: You should also stop multi-posting and making accusations. The people bidding on your item wouldn't resort to trying to suppress the price by leaving you negative feedback.

As an actual on-again off-again artist, I think I should chip in and say that no artist would ever present another's work to advertise his own as StackItUp has done. Copyright issues aside, such a method of advertising makes no sense. Unless the artist is extremely good at imitating the other's unique style (which I seriously doubt is the case here), such a deception will be detected immediately when the buyer sees that the art he purchased is not what was advertised. Nor is there any need for such deception, as every artist hoping to sell commissions will have an extensive portfolio of their own work. I don't believe StackItUp's excuse that he is prevented from publishing any of his previous works. Certainly there are cases where the artist gives up publication rights to some of his works, but not all of them. He'd have something to show to prospective clients or he'd never be able to get those jobs in the first place.

An artist's portfolio is his résumé, his CV. Would you hire, or even believe, a prospective employee who had no résumé whatsoever and claims he cannot tell you about any of his previous work because of "privacy"? Or worse, one who outright lies on his résumé and, when caught, claims he cannot reveal his true work history and that the lies are just "examples"? I think not.

At least one valid reply.
Thank you.
I was never thinking to cancel my auction, i wanted to freez it with the highest bid and time left and continue after feedbacks are solved.
I will honor that auction, of course.
I am just tired of this feedback farming and ill mindset by kids. They think that if they are going red tag some people every day they will become trusted. And i can say this is working out for them. There are plenty trusted people on the forum who have never done any money operation or have never did any exchange.

Look. Can anyone sober show up? Please
Open your eyes you fucking prick. It was not for sale! I wasnt selling anything. It was not an auction. It was not an item sale.
It was SERVICE for a FUTURE product. WITHOUT ASKING ANY PAYMENT.

"Would you hire?" - for free? Yes. I would.
And many people would do the same.

Again legendary member with only red feedback. And based on your profile you are leaving red trust for members on a daily basics. Whats this, red tagged detectives club?

Lucky for you, that's all this is. The type of intellectual dishonesty you're demonstrating is not looked upon well in the art world, to put it mildly. Keep stealing other artists' work, and you'll get the Guild after you.

Do you understand that NOTHING was for sale. And when nothing is for sale, then there is NO BUYER. And there is NO SELLER.
Thats not for sale! And i never said it was.
Can your monkey brain understand that?
I WAS OFFERING MY SERVICE IN ADVANCE!!!
IN ADVANCE FOR A TIP IF YOU LIKE IT.
SO FUCKING TELL ME HOW COULD I SCAM SOMEONE????
HOWWW?
It is the same as i would call you pedofile because i think so. And whats then? You will defend yourself that you arent?
Silly. In my country you must be proved to be guilty, only thoughts isnt enough

There are plenty trusted people on the forum who have never done any money operation or have never did any exchange.

Here's the thing, the person who's feedback I originally saw, does plenty on the forum involving money. Everyone else you are complaining about doesn't show as negative for me. It does appear that you are throwing a tantrum, and that's all anyone will see as they review this. You need to chill out, there is no reason to continue trying to sling mud at people.

Your claim is that these were examples of what you could do. The wording you used makes it sound as if these works were your own, but you have also said somewhere english isn't your first language. Either way it doesn't look good for a couple of reasons; and none of it has to do with whether you were selling the art or accepting tips after the fact. It comes down to building a reputation for work you say you can produce, by showing examples of others work. There have been a ton of scams built on a false reputation, WoodCollector (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=392383) comes to mind.

If you change your attitude and maybe shift directions on how you proceed you could still possibly come out of this clean in the future. There is an eerily similar case that I just recently read up on. It is less likely every time you start slinging insults around.

Best advice I can give you. Build a portfolio of self portraits from photos or whatever use those to demonstrate your abilities. Shouldn't be any issue with displaying that work.

READ, its taken from my service thread
Hello,
Are you interested in realistic portraits ? Do you want one?
I can draw any portrait that you want. Make a surprise for your wife, kid, parent.
Order my services by sendig me a message or post on this thread. I am open for negotiations.
Work example: https://i.postimg.cc/DWKVGXr4/FB-IMG-1566991307802.jpg

Well that's a pretty cool stuff actually. But you should also post sample rate to be more transparent.
Thank you.
Sample rate? What does that mean ? :) (english isnt my native language)
"I am open to deliver drawing first and let you pay up based on your happiness, this way you could verify drawings are manualy made without any contact with PC, thats an old school style drawings by hands."
What could be more transparent?

I WAS OFFERING MY SERVICE IN ADVANCE!!!
IN ADVANCE FOR A TIP IF YOU LIKE IT.
Such an arrangement is more commonly known as a "pay-what-you-want commission" and is indeed considered a sale.

SO FUCKING TELL ME HOW COULD I SCAM SOMEONE????
HOWWW?
I can think of a few different methods, most of which boil down to getting someone to pay a "tip" for something that is not as advertised. I may not know what your scam is, but I do know you're not a professional artist.

It is the same as i would call you pedofile because i think so.
Or a professional anything, for that matter. You really ought to change your attitude if you want anyone to ever take you seriously again.

You are free to present your side of the story to potential customers or bidders. Anyone considering buying from you can review your ratings, review the referenced threads, and decide if they want to buy from you.

If you are selling a specific piece of art that someone believes is valuable, a buyer may be willing to look past previous what some believe to be dishonesty.

You called me a scammer. And for me thats an assault. Same as you are pedofile.
Both are crimes.
Look monkey, i am repeating again.
This service works like that, you ask me to draw any portrait. I am doing that, sending you , after your receipt you can tip me and leave feedback if you like it, if not, state that on your feedback.
I was not asking any tip upfront, i was not forcing to tip me at all.
So shut the fuck up.

Why would you label something as a "work example" if its not your own work? What's it an "example" of?

Ok ill share another work in progress so you can see it is not done with any of computer softs
Hand made progress with coal, chalk and eraser only.
 https://i.postimg.cc/cvVXxFry/a0b51ad3c444cfe625752b94cd1f7518-0.jpg

This drawing isn't yours and its not even a "work in progress." Its a finished piece:

https://www.deviantart.com/adrianmoraru/art/Working-Process-455829995

Why would you bother calling it a "work in progress" when its clearly not?

Its obvious you were trying to pass off these pieces as your own. Then you got caught. Not much more to be said.

these examples are to explain what work could be done.
And yes, the second one is work in proggress to understand tools are used. And its even writen in your link, work in process.
If was selling those art works, then yes, plagiarism. But i used them as a reference, what you can expect.

How do you think i could scam someone here ?
Explain me how was then even possible?
Explain me step by step how could someone lose money here if accusation was made. Waiting.

The title of the piece is "Working Process." That means the artist is giving the viewer some insight into their process and showing the tools that they use. It is a finished piece, yet you are claiming otherwise. You should have said from the beginning "These are not my works." You didn't do that. What you did do was say "Thank you" when somebody gave you compliments on them.

Also, I never said you're a scammer. However, I do think trading with you is high risk.

Hey StackItUp,
What you should have done was sketch a face/portrait of your own to show off your own level of skills. You could use your reference pictures and sketch one on your own to show you have a similar skill. As it stands nobody knows if you even know how to draw or not.

What you need to do here is admit you fucked up, spend the 10 to 40 hours drawing your own portrait (probably with regular updates along the way to disprove anyone saying you stole the artwork once again) and show the forum/potential buyers what you can actually do.

English not being your main language is really hurting you here.. you may mean something else but it comes out looking really bad and just doesn't help your case with the accusers here.

In regards to your auction for your amber box, keep it going, use escrow and prove that you indeed deliver on your sales. It is a unique neat piece that one of the collectors will enjoy adding to their collections. This stain on your account will mean that you will always have to offer escrow services through any of our popular escrow providers here but that is not a bad thing in the world of bitcoin.

Edit to add: Retaliatory red tags are never the way to go about it. The few that left you red are going to leave them up until you can prove that you can draw and that it was just a language barrier misunderstanding. There is a way to come back from this and reds are seldomly permanent. You've got some work ahead of you but you have to realize how skeptical all of the longer term bitcoin users are when it comes to things like sales/scams/plagiarism.
