In 2017 i decided to give cloud mining a try and i did get to follow the best ones back then and the following are the ones that were very good until they stopped working excluding minergate and nicehash.
1 Genesing mining
2. Hashflare
3. Minergate
4. Nicehash
back then many fake and scam cloud mining websites did scam lots of people since not everyone can afford to build a mining rig but i was so lucky then until cloud mining stop been profitable, what about you guys? anyone on here that make better profits from cloud mining?

My first journey into cryptocurrency investment was through cloudmining. Im invest in numerous cloudmining platform's such as HashOcean,Hashflare,Genesis Mining,Hashing24 Eobot etc. but some of it turn into a scam and others was stop its operation due low profitability issue.

I remember that i did joined genesis mining years back and their service is very good, the problem is it takes a year and half to get your return of investment back so that was what piss me off and i quit and withdraw my remaining invested money, many of these cloud mining service are down already because they aren't able to keep up

Another cloud mining service that I was using years ago is EOBOT.
I had been using all of those from in 2016 and stopped using it in 2017. And the biggest contract I ever bought is on EOBOT and then Genesis Mining.
as far as I understand in the middle of 2016, the contract is no longer profitable because we need to pay the electricity fee, maintenance, and ghost fee(unknown fee).
if I calculate my total investment in cloud mining and the ROI that I got from them, I did not make any profit because only 40% of my total investment was coming back to me.
and the rest was burned up to pay the fees and terminated contract(it could happen if you are buying small contract and the system claimed you will not get anything, so they terminated your contract).

What about cloud mining situation now in 2019? Has it become profitable, or there are only Ponzi schemes?

In 2017, I tried to invest in cloud mining, but unfortunately I received nothing but losses, I tried to invest in Hashflare, because there were a lot of good reviews about it. But in 2018, they began to demand verification and withdraw not small commissions for withdrawal.

If you do the math, you'll see that every cloud mining don't worth

It's very very simple, you'll only gain money if the coin rise in value, so why not buy the coin directly?

Why do you prefer to gain your coins in a illusion that you are "mining", you will only mine if you have your asic, gpu, cpu or if you rent one and can mine the coin you want

When I get to understand a bit of bitcoin in 2017, I invested just a little dollar in Genesis mining, without experience, I got more than 10times my investment from genesis because the price of bitcoin went very high. Till now I didn't login to genesis gain. As for hasflare, they are deceptive.

Please, forget about these companies. Most of them will end up as scams, just like we saw many times in the history.
You do better if you buy Bitcoin straight while it's so cheap.

Back then, cloud mining was a very hot prospect with respect to Bitcoin especially when the block reward was much more than what it is today. Although there were quite a bit of fake cloud mining sites as well but it was pretty easy to distinguish between them as payouts would be shown in a couple of weeks and investing beforehand was always deemed risky.

I would rather invest into staking coins or I would lend my money through a platform like Bitfinex, Binance, Nexo and so on because it is more safe, I think.

Cloud mining is mostly just scams. There are already lots of people who have written out HOW and WHY cloud mining is a scam and all you have to do is google it and educate yourself. Be warned! Don't fall for cloud mining. Just build your own rig if you are interested in mining.

You are among of the few lucky people that have successfully cashout profitably from cloudmining contracts without a tale of sorry to tell.
Cloudmining have now become ponzi scheme since the companies no longer bother to purchase or build any mining farm.
The payment is now for the first come first serve.

Yes I do make decent profit from HashOcean, I don't think most people here knew about the scheme, it was one of the most successful scam mining contact, ran for months and one day disappear with our money, the mistake I made was being greedy and re-invest my money back into the scheme.

Cloud mining is one of the biggest mistification in crypto. Its very hard to earn money with it

I once mined Monero and few other Cryptocurrencies through Minegrate. I believe I mined substantial amount of the privacy coin but never bothered to withdraw it. I probably didn't have enough to withdraw after mining for many hours with my computers and mobile phone.

Cloud mining has become very unpopular these days. I would be surprised if any of the those sites still operate profitably.

From my experienced was not good, most of the cloud mining that I joined were not paying, 99% of them were really scam those days. It was really wasting my time those cloud mining sites, better investing in cryptos.  

In most of the cases, cloud mining is a scam and i will never anyone to invest in this business. There might be few sites that are runing for some period of time but they too can scam anytime.

I remember that this subject was gathering the interest of everyone in the past, peoples in Bitcoin Talk were insane when talking about the cloud mining contracts and the ability to gather profits without even buying a real RIG or paying for electricity. The thing is that i do remember that i made profits by referring users to the platforms affording the contracts but they didn't persist, this type of business was fishy since the start and i didn't really expect it to explode like this and harm everyone but the fact is that Cloudmining is worthless, it was worthless and still having the same value, ZERO.

I tried a lot of cloud mining solutions, but the most of them are very expensive. Generally, a one year mining contract brings you at its peak 5-15 percent profit if you take contract costs into consideration, so I just moved to Hashnest, where they are not trying to rob you with mining costs.

I appreciate very much that you are sharing your experience with cloudmining websites but I'm curious, why you decided to put your money in those websites trying to generate profits when it has been known for a very long time that doing such a thing is not profitable at all and that in many cases those websites were outright scams? However despite this it is a good idea to remind newbies from time to time about old scams so they do not fall into them.

I thank all the warning that I've seen on the forum that's why I didn't pursue my interest in cloud mining. And until now, when I see someone asks about cloud mining, I'm telling them that it's no longer profitable and they are prone to being scammed.

I still have an interest in mining but I'm still lacking funds for buying equipments.

I remember when I was not aware of this forum that he shared with me that cloud mining, he mentioned that he can earn very little to do and that year 2015 and this time it is still good to see cloud mining , but when 2017 came around he was no longer the target because he was introduced to scammers, then the minergate I tested on desktop but he was not successful in me so I also spit him out because he can cure pc ko. This is my experience.

Cloud mining isn't safe and too risky. They give too much percentage of profit and promise some members that joined a good fortune. Well, it is actually tempting and good at the start but that is not guaranteed. If you already joined networking you can noticed the similarity since it will only be good only in the beginning and slowly be gone and boom. SCAM!

cloudmining is quite convenient for some people who don't have enough money to buy GPU and some equipment to mine coins. But its capacity is not large enough for us to obtain long-term profit.
I also participated in cloudmining for a short time and felt that it didn't really bring the expected profit and everything was very slow. we can still make money from cloudmining, but it cannot be done on a large scale. so I gave up and invested in a new company called "mining city" and started buying hundreds of GPUs to mine coins better.

i totally agree with you few month ago i tryied with some cloued mining web site.first threee days i got some portion as my profit after that i got a e mail saying if i want i can re invest my profit for better income so i desided to invest my profit too after few weeks when i check my balance and all my mining power they just same as i brought i created support ticket and asked then they said all my income was redused to cover mining fee wf man i lost my all my money there.so dont invest with cloude mining invest on miner and mine any coin you want

Good question, i have tried to pull some answers together about present cloud mining services but its a shame that only eobot still exist and running, there are few new ones but i don't trust them and eobot is the best option left because its been around for a very long time now, this makes it the best reliable cloudmining in 2019 for now

Since there is not guarantee of when any cloud mining services will stop working this needs to be consider as a very big risk, more risky than investing in even ICO or IEO i will advice everyone to do better research better investing in any cloud mining services unless you just want to take the risk

From that list, I think genesis mining still working until now because I still get some nice rewards for mining with them. I don't know with my account in Hashflare, but I think I cannot continue mining because my hashpower is not too big in that site. I already try with minergate and nicehash, and I think nicehash still working for me too. But I stop mining with those sites because I think that is not worth it for me if I continue. So be careful when you want to join them because cloud mining cannot stay for a long time and only use the money you can afford.

Cloud mining was the first investment that I invest my own money with and it was the worst investment experience I ever had with a few money that I've got from my allowances I went to deposit some cash on our local exchange and bought Bitcoin and it was under $1000 at that time.

At first, the Cloud mining that I invest my money with, pays me every month for 2 straight months but after that, there are no payment again. the only thing that I receive from them is the error message. and we don't have anyone to talk to in their site. that's how brutal they are.

Thankfully with that experience, I came fully understand what cloud mining are they are some method to use to scam people. after that, if I heard something the same as cloud mining I ignored it because of my previous experience.

I had experience in using Genesis Mining. At the beginning it seemed that I would quickly return my invested money, but then when the market collapsed I lost a decent amount. Having such a bitter experience, I would not trust cloud mining.

90 percent of all cloudmining projects is a scam or you need to be very lucky to find a legit company. In my opinion, it is better to save some money and to built your own farm, instead of giving you money away for air.

I invested in many cloud mining services, they all exit except hashflare but after many reinvestment I couldn't reach roi. Invest, get profit, profit goes down, reinvest, get profit, profit goes down, reinvest and you will find yourself in circle of never ending reinvesting without getting any profit.

Yes, at that time I also collaborated with Hashflair and Genesis Mining. For over a year now I have not had any contracts with them. It makes no sense - the profit is either very small or not at all.

Well i've been on a lot cloudmining before and i must say in the start they are all paying but in the long run, your investment became obselete and tgey make slower to make bitcoins or alts in some cloud mining. But most of the cloud mining will became a scam afterwards when no more people buy their contracts no buyers of contract means no money to pay their current customers to conclude just stay away from those cloud mining if you don't want lose some money.

In cloud mining, at first, you have to pick out the authentic cloud mining but the question is that how you can define as a real one, it's really a difficult task to find out a real cloud mining company, we see a lot of fake and scam could mining platform which could not carry out for a couple of months but some unaware people easily got impressed by their lucrative advertisement, not only that but also fake and paid reviews could be a reason people got tempted. So the crisis of credibility and acceptance is the main issue of this cloud mining platform.

i never invest in cloud mining company my friend
because i don't want to take a risk, by put my money to unknown source income, maybe few of them will show a picture or video
but personally i don't believe that mate, thats why i never invest in cloud mining until now

Almost all of the cloudmining sites are scam, they will create greed in your mind and later they will scam you certainly. Don't waste time and money behind it, better you start trading, that will give you some profits, at least you will not be scammed stupidly.

there will be no reason to explain if that was on a scam. Just take a look at even the real miners with their own rig got loss to mine crypto this day due to the difficulty and blockhalving.

I totally agree with you. At present cloud mining does not provide any benefit at all. Even when I first tried it, I only got my wasted time waiting for the coins I was mining. When you think about it, I'd better buy instant on the market instead of waiting very long with the same value.  But if buying physical equipment like GPUs looks still profitable if we mine the right coins.

cloud minning not worth it for now from what i know. The ROI is quite too long, its kinda wasting times and also wasting your money, you can spend that money to invest on ico or IEO. or just do daily trading thats a lot of better than spend urs on cloud minning

In the first days I knew about the cryptocurrency market, I was involved in cloud mining.
The cloud platform that I invested in was Eobot, so far the platform still runs very well, but it doesn't generate any profits for me. If that day I used the money invested in Eobot to buy bitcoin, I would have had a much larger number of bitcoins than Eobot brought.

I have a very unsatisfactory experience on cloud mining from both Genesis mining and Minergate.
I bought a USD fixed 2 years mining contract for Monero with bitcoin. Bitcoin quadrupled the price in the meantime while the total output of 2 years was less than the threshold minimum amount for withdrawal for monero.
Minergate changed my plans and terminated the lifetime mining scheme without any notice.

I have negative experience when it comes to cloudmining.  I have invested in pbmining that were paying at first but later on shutdown.  I also invested on gawminer and bought zenminer , hashlet operated by Josh Garza and lost another sum of investment.  The only thing that got a good exit on their cloudmining is the CEX.io  but nevertheless I also lost some on this before I sold all my bought unit.  All in all, it is a horrible experience but we have to move on and learn from those experience.

Same here, I invested in couple cloud mining sites in 2015, and it`s like I throw away my money. I don`t even remember the names of these cloud mining sites. Since then when I see such site, I just move away.
I always advise people to stay away from cloud mining, no matter how tempting it is. I can`t believe that such sites still exists and that someone is investing in them.

Minergate? I didn't try that one hashflare and nicehash only they are good once for me but I already quitted after so many websites claiming that they are the number one crypto mining and been almost a year running, in short just a scam. I am now more on trading though I still wanted to be involved in cloud mining someday if bitcoin will increase again.
Actually, I am a big fan of cloud mining since it started in the crypto field though the risk are there I still prefer to take it because I know it is worth it.

from the list of cloud mining above I've tried mining in hashflare with a one-year contract and it turned out to be very far from the word profit. even I did not return the investment. I think cloud mining is just a waste of time to wait for our coins to return

Cloud mining is nothing but a scam, those platforms claiming that they own mining rigs are all lies, they have no real equipments or rigs and they haven't for once provide proofs that they actually own mining setups, its more like a ponzi scheme paying investors with investors money

In my view no cloud mining concepts will work in the volatile crypto  market  . Any crypto trader can make money in crypto trading .Mining can be done only through own mining rigs at home

The owner runs away from the members, and I don't know what's happens with the owner because I leave it behind and never take a look back again.

It is not recommended to try cloud mining because you need to deposit some money to get hash power to start mining. The return will be too long, and you don't know if the company still operate or not. If you want to feel how to mining, I suggest you start your mining rig at your home, but you need to think about the electricity fee. Never interfere with cloud mining, or you will regret it later.

Cloud mining can be too risky. Even the best cloud mining is not immune from bankruptcy and hacker attacks. The database can be hacked. It is worth choosing sites on which frequent payments are provided, and withdrawing money to your wallet. High risk of fraud also presents. Too high profitability of cloud mining is the first sign of hype. Most likely, scammers sell customers non-existent capacities.

Hashflare stop working SHA-256 and after mining enabled, my mining contract no work and i loose 2000$ Technical support say, "Its my problem" And hashflare no return money back.

Cloud mining is a thing of the past, we should totally forget it, I have invested in some so-called cloud mining only to find out later that it's just a Ponzi scheme, there are a lot of scripts or themes available that you can buy online, and some of these cloud mining sites are just using fake buildings and facilities just to deceive investors, you should try running master nodes it's more legit.

Thank you for sharing your valuable experience with us. I've never had clouding before. As a matter of fact, I have never taken such an initiative. But looking at what was written here, I thought cloudmining would definitely be a bad experience.
So Dividend and PoS seem much more logical and reliable. I'm gonna keep trying.

Many of these cloud mining turned out to be scams in the past, and many got shut down due to low to no profit generation. So yeah, it is a gamble to play but if you are confident enough then better go for it. Personally I am better of trading and hunting rather than doing cloud mining, but that’s just a personal taste.

Cloud mining is excellent if you can wait for like more than a year. Personally I have tried cloud mining in the past, and yes they were good, but it seems to take forever to get something out of them so that why I just took my investment after few months or so.

The best cloudmining platform till date is nicehash and eobot, nicehash is still paying the reimburse payment from the last year hack on the platform and i have almost get paid to 100% now, they are both cloudmining service you can trust but the real truth is cloudmining is not as profitable like in the past years

Cloud mining operations are most of the time nothing more than disguised HYIP scams so they follow the same pattern, they offer you great profits in a short amount of time and this brings investors, at the beginning everything seems fine since you are getting your payments on time but as the number of investors begin to go down the owners of the website realize their time is up and disappear with the rest of the funds leaving their investors with a bunch of questions and with empty pockets.

No doubt, many cloud mining services are a scam. I tried all of the above-mentioned services in the past but turned out to be unprofitable. Mining companies are the ones making the money, not the users. You'll be lucky to make your money back in pennies. I finally realize trading is more profitable than mining.     

I tried eobot and genesis mining. In that time I was new to this market and invested some money in cloud mining. But after some time I realized that it would take years to take your investment back so quit. At this point of my life I would not recommend cloud mining to anyone.

I tried cloud mining, but not for long. too many sites are closed without a trace. now I use a reliable system miningrigrental. there you can rent the power of any algorithms, there are dozens of them and a period of 3 hours. I think this is the most relevant at this time

Main miner and Wiki mining are scam could mining companies, Don’t invest they are not paying, It’s site first 2 to 3 days payment successful but now no payment. I got my deposit payment from 10% then loss my 90% please don’t invest beware, there are many more of these scams on the internet, becareful mates

Best advice for the people who thinking about involving in cloud mining is,go for it if you want to lose all your money.

Cloud mining has not been my thing ever since it got introduced into this industry. Most of the platforms I knew back then got closed down and investors lost their money. Mining is not really profitable these days looking at the cost of expenses needed to be made. Better do some margin trading on Bitmex under full guidance though lol else you will get rekt

In my past, I tried to sign up in cloud mining like hashnest, eobot, genesis mining, etc. But I don't think too seriously about that, and I don't invest too big on their site. So far, I still see my account still active, and it gives me a small reward every day. I don't want to add more deposits because it is very difficult to earn bigger rewards from cloud mining. Besides that, I don't know how long they can still operate, and I don't want to get scam by cloud mining.

You will be getting rewards for 2 or three times but after that you will get stuck with your capital and rewards so basically those companies pay 10% of your capital and runn away with 90% in the meanwhile more and more people join to them.

Its true that 99percent of cloud mining services are scam and they will exit on you after paying you 10% of your investment back but nicehash can be trusted, you can rent hash power to mine for hours or 24hrs or even days to months if you want but its not profitable anymore unless you find real new coin thats worth mining then you can rent hash powers to mine them for large quantities before difficulty increase

Cloud mining is a total scam in my opinion... Wonder if there is anybody who got any profit as result of taking part in different cloud mining projects :) I bet nobody managed to win here if we are speaking about 5 year interval.

I speculate the same, I do not think there is anybody that got profits out of cloudmining but I still wonder why people are still giving their money to those websites, if you want to mine a coin then buy a miner and begin to mine that coin, is not really that difficult and not only you can get profits if you live in a country with low electricity costs you are also supporting the coins you like and that is something really important at this time in which even worthwhile altcoins are having problems to maintain their price.

I'd suggest that you stop looking at cloud mining as a passive income source completely.

The reason why a lot of newbies get sucked into these cloud mining companies and invest absurd amounts of money in hopes of getting a passive return on their investment is due to the fact that there are certain unscrupulous youtubers that, in attempt of marketing their affiliate links, make absurd claims about profitability.

There is no profitable cloud mining in the long run, for the simple reason that maintenance fees will always mean that your contracts expire before its lifetime.

Anecdotally, you'll find the same trend.

I bet many joined cloudmining when they are still new to crypto space, they thought it will give them better ROI instead of buying miners or building gpu rigs but sooner they came to understand that it will take them years before they see profit and even the profit is too low, cloud mining is not profitable anymore

thats true . before when i was still a newb , that was on the year 2017 and i think mining and cloud mining that time were also hyped . that was also my reason on why i tried it .  i tried cloud mining on some popular website via browser . i can see the numbers running but i dont see the actual sats that i earned  . eventually i stopped doing that because i hear lots of feedbacks that its not worth it and some says that itll only damage my hardware    . until one time scams are popping anywhere   .
