Title: Regarding my missing transaction in BitPay
Post by: Cytocrypto on October 05, 2019, 12:11:05 PM
Hi! I am new to Crypto Currency and have recently started using a bitcoin wallet.I made a couple of small transactions and when I kind of got an idea I tried buying a VPN using Bitcoin today. I bought some bitcoins and after the confirmation of receipt I paid to the wallet of the VPN service. I even got a confirmation that bitcoin has  been sent. My bitcoin wallet has been debited but neither the seller has received the funds nor the transaction is appearing in my BitPay transaction history. So I don’t even have a transaction ID.My Bitcoin balance is showing as Zero. I have cleared my cache and have checked the receiver’s address on blockchain but it has not received any funds till now. I really don’t know where my bitcoins have vanished! I really don’t know what to do. Any help would be appreciated.

Which wallet were you using and to which VPN did you send the coins to?

Try contacting BitPay with the transaction ID (you can get that from your wallet) and the deposit address you sent the coins to (you can also get that from your wallet).

I am using BitPay Wallet. I sent the Bitcoins to

The problem is that the transaction is simply not appearing in my BitPay Wallet. So I don’t have the transaction ID. The only proof i have is that my BTC balance has become Zero. I have contacted BitPay support but am still to hear from them.

He has no transaction ID because his balance disappeared after he did the transaction. There might be a bug happening,

There is no way you can recover it by yourself, try to contact the support and explain your problem with them.
Try to reach them by using this form https://bitpay.com/request-help/wizard, choose BitPay Payment and then fill the forms.

The funds have never been sent which means they never left your wallet.

If you still have your 12 recovery phrase, you can either try to recover it in a wallet like Electrum or Mycelium or try to use the recovery tool (https://support.bitpay.com/hc/en-us/articles/360000244486-I-can-t-use-BitPay-anymore-How-can-I-recover-my-funds-from-the-BitPay-wallet-) and send your funds to another wallet you control.
