Title: Child Boards on Local
Post by: cabalism13 on October 08, 2019, 09:50:12 AM
What Criterias Should we have to allow us open up a new Child Board on Local Section?

On Pilipinas Local Board we just have Altcoin, though we think we should have another one like Off-Topics so we can be somewhat discuss some other stuffs, We know that this forum was made solely for Bitcoin but its already years so I think we should be atleast have some place to make a topic refreshments suitable for our own language.

What's the use of this if it were'nt be implemented?

Or Remove the Off-Topic Section and place it on every Local Section, besides nobody wants to moderate the Off Topic Section. Its just like the Archival section.

Some other users wants a MarketPlace on their own Local Board just like us not just Off-Topic. And if only I can be a Moderator on Our Local even for free I'll definitely clean it. There are already countless of useless threads on our Board that was made by user accounts that has been dead for years, I can even tell that some of them were sold already for they edited their posts and some was already deleted.

Just Take A Good Look on this:

65Pages and majority of them are shits. Half of them were made and been left out. Simply made by punny translaters just to earn bounties.

I don't know if this is the official way, but when there is really a need for a sub-section, the local mod can make a request in the Staff section by giving the name of this sub-section, description, etc....
Then he has to be patient, very patient and regularly bump his request. It took 4-5 months to add a sub-section in the french section:).

Edit : Only Theymos and Cyrus can create a sub-section.

What's the need adding an off-topic board in your local board, the forum already has a general off-topic section that's really in a mess right now, adding to that would attract more spam.

If users in your local boards need a section to discuss off-topic issues, they can do it in the general off-topic section, their language must not be coherent nor syntacticaly acceptable, we're already used to the garbage in that section,  so we wouldn't mind.

That's why I suggest to make it on their Locals instead of the continues garbage spreading on that Board, besides thats the place were bounty spammers are always staying. So if it were to be moderated we can now see a big change.

There is a rule here on our forum that should be followed

Quote
9. Discussions in the main boards must be in english. All other language discussions should be posted in the appropriate Local board.

Only if the Mod makes a request,..  so if there was a case that a certain Mod isn't that active on Local and just works on deleting reported topics, then what's the other way? I find somewhat jealous on the section that you're currently moderating.

Dabs is currently having some problems financially right now and he is even more busy compared before. Mr. Big, don't feel like mentioning him for he is already a Global Mod so more likely he is too busy. We also have some complicated issues on our board so we just want to know what they're thinking and planning to do. This is also an issue about moderation but we thank them for their good works until now.

We don't need off topic in local, the purpose of creating local board is to promote cryptocurrency in local dialect , and should not be about anything that forumite wants to talk about, we are in Bitcointalk, we should be talking about Bitcoin... Spammers and merit earners would love off topic though...

Dabs is still active, but no one is reporting anything in the Philippines, so someone should start reporting if he/she really cares...  ::)

Oh my,... I guess I don't have to state my point here it seems useless. Well then expect to have reports made from the Pilipinas Section by this time until it will become clean from NON-BITCOIN TOPIC.

Yes, we do care about our Local,...
Just one thing, I do hope it doesn't just the forum you're caring about. Without users, it doesn't make sense.

P. S. This is not just about having Off Topic as a Child Board, we aim here to have a solution to bring activity on our Local while keeping it clean. But it seems the suggestions were just wasted.

Lastly:
I will leave it here, all of those threads are NON-BITCOIN THREADS and already reported them.
