Title: Best DEX out there? What do you guys think?
Post by: Flux0z on October 10, 2019, 02:03:02 PM
I'm looking for some DEX projects to invest in, since I believe they are the future of trading for those of us who care about privacy, security, and peace of mind while trading basically.

I found Blocknet, which was founded in 2014, launched the first functional DEX. Seems like a promising project with a good entry price right now.

Also found Komodo, Bisq, and a few others..

There seems to be so many out there as of late, what do you guys think?

I will choose the latest one other than the old one, there are many projects based on DEX out there as you mentioned above.
but only a few of them caught my attention, have you heard vite? a new DEX project with a dividend.
try to compare them from their technology, activity and entry point.
I can not guarantee you will like it, but I can guarantee you that vite is very active in developing their system and gaining popularity. That is the point plus in choosing a new project other than the old one.

IDEX was my favourite decentralised exchange, until they implemented the KYC process. Right now, Binance dex is looking good, but I still do not trust Binance. Thats why my number one right now is Forkdelta, however they are already collecting funds to survive.

Just as you've said there are so many new projects out there so they are competing to get as much user as they could.
So I think it is better to stick with the old and trusted one's rather than trying to risk your money in the new project which could turn into a scam.
And I would still go to forkdelta or etherdelta if it is still running properly since they are the oldest DEX that I know.
Besides if the new projects or DEX doesn't have enough trader then it would be useless since we couldn't trade properly in their site due to a low demand.

I am waiting for a decentralized exchange that will support diffrent blockchains in a same time. I mean, for every blockchain we have DEX platform, but it is time to create DEX platform for all blockchains and their coins, don´t you think?

I guess like ERC-20 tokens you are looking for, so it is easy to deposit from a single wallet and withdraw easily when needed. But I did not understand your purpose in looking for it. Today, there are DEXs that we can trade many coins. Although not all, there are exchanges like BinanceDEX, WaveDEX, Bancor that support the important coins.

Clearly spelt and spoke my mind. I cant remember the last time I visited folkdelta and can only do that when IDEX throw some tantrum, IDEX was a breakthrough before that decision and ERC tokens are more. Binance and the choice of new blockchain looks like a personal project no one want to embrace. They cant have IEO for all projects and we are likely to have only one binance DEX .

since the privacy coins got declined by goverment.
sooner or later , we have no more privacy, as we know, even dex exchange has been around a long time, but the development is somewhat lacking.
for me, i dont really sure Dex exchange will be acceptable by people.

DEX is a good direction.

There are many different coin DEX existed.

Nxt DEX built-in , Nxt Secure Asset Exchange(created by Sergey Nazarov,Founder of Chainlink)

Waves DEX built-in,

For ethereum:
ETHdelta,idex.market,0x,swap,ddex.io,

If youre gonna used DEX, I think BinanceDEX and IDEX are the only good dex that exhibit volume. I like forkdelta before but since many dex has been rise, only few using this and the volume never really go up. Unless the token is very famous and lots of demand. Many will have their buy orders since you can name youre price on DEX. But, Im still prefer centralized exchangs more vivid, more volume that's better for me.

BISQ and Komodo are good choices. Maybe you want to try Binance DEX too.
Binance DEX is not a decentralized exchange site but that's a centralized exchange site. The main purpose of decentralized exchange site to create an exchange site ecosystem that is not fully controlled by a single party. Binance has over control to the binance DEX and that's centralized.

I'm looking for some DEX projects to invest in, since I believe they are the future of trading for those of us who care about privacy, security, and peace of mind while trading basically.

I found Blocknet, which was founded in 2014, launched the first functional DEX. Seems like a promising project with a good entry price right now.

The best dex should be fully decentralized and it has experienced so many attacks created by hackers but it can stand without any problem.
Fork and ether delta should be the best-decentralized exchange site consider both have been attacked by hackers so many times and the hot wallets never are affected or stolen.

The consideration of best dex must not be based on how popular the team that created the dex.

Personally I enjoy a lot using decentralized exchanges and it seems that a lot of volume is moving into DEX lately so I'm wondering what can it mean  :o.

I use waves DEX as my favorite because the projects is awesome , keeping waves there brings you free coins from airdrops , you can lease your waves and earn back $ , volume is good , prices are not so different than Binance ( per example ) and they have low withdrawals fees and a lot of gateways payments.

The second one would be Blocknet dex because they are old enough and have a history on crypto space. A nice DEX with a good variety of coins and projects listed out there and more will come in time for sure. Also they have a masternode option which is pretty nice and as far as I know Blocknet still has a top tier devs working on the project.

I see some good suggestion here, and I mostly use Idex.

There is also option of wallets with swap options and integrated decentralized exchange.
One of them is new Apollo DEX. It has private transactions integrated, but it is still in beta.

I am still looking for some alternative dex options that support Bitcoins.

Binance DEX is the best option we are left with today. Etherdelta used to be the top but after all the controversies that led to Forkdelta, it was never like what it used to be. And then IDEX came, it also became my number one choice but then it suddenly decided to require KYC. That effectively made them out of the DEX league. Waves DEX came out as a contender for a very short while. But they fizzled out very quickly. What do we have now? Nothing else but Binance DEX.

Blocknet is good but i prefer strong projects for example binance dex and what makes you think that dex is the future of exchange trading? idax now forced KYC on users upon lack of liquidity and volume that's still affecting all Dex

I agree with you about WavesDex, but unfortunately, not so many investors are interested when they hear of projects that are run using the waves platform. Do you know the cause?
For now I only use idex and forkdelta.

Not sure about the best one as pretty much every one of them has their strengths and weaknesses. The one I am still using the most today is IDEX, but they have lost a sizable chunk of my sympathy when they forced in the KYC process and so spoiled the anonymity of the process. As for the future, I have high hopes for Nash despite their struggle for attracting customers at the moment.

I used it before but there is low usage and I stayed for a month and there is not much change. Got a lot of coins under Waves but they do not even have a value because there is not much buyer.

How is it now?
Idex is a lot better than it before. I don't know the comparison now.

Idex is still okay and still easy to use, only that you need to register with your email and password, and must conduct KYC if you are to withdraw more $5k/day. What you just need do is login with your email and password, and connect to IDEX with your Metamask, I am currently trading Xbase there. I can't say if Binance DeX is the most secured dex, besides they have limited tokens trading there.

Komodo is a very perfect selection for investment, and no doubt Komodo is trusted and they have some great developments every year. Besides Komodo, you may look into Vite Lab dex ViteX! ViteLabs is one of the top crypto projects no doubt and this year Vite labs launched its own VitrX exchange with its own Dex coin DX! Where everyone got hype on Binance DEX, Vitelabs impressed me a lot.

Have you tried Bisq? It's a good decentralized exchange

There's a lot like Kyber, Bancor, DDEX etc. most of them are very easy to use. In my opinion this Dex was so very safe unlike forkdelta.app need to import private. but if you don't want you can use metamask wallet for safety. Try to use the exchange I've mentioned.

Actually, the dex binance is only superior by volume and its name if we compare it to other exchange dex, because if for a user-friendly interface also already owned by several other exchange dex, so the dex binance is superior through the name and volume only.

If we are talking about credibility, an old project posses it obviously but what we should think before choosing it is not only about credibility but also their userbase.
there are few old project posses a good userbase but there are many new projects posses a higher userbase.
userbase is the heart of the project, the more it has the better it becomes. That was why, I am choosing a new project over the old project because of its userbase.

IMO WavesDEX is the fastest (almost fast as a centralized exchange) and easiest available DEX nowadays.
Gateway allow you to trade with BTC, ETH, ect... and fiat.

Even if you don't endorse Waves, you are not forced to trade with Waves pairs.

DEXs are still new stuff and there isn't really any mature competitors out there yet, so you want to invest in the one that has the most potential as opposed to the best right now. The best right now would probably be Bisq for p2p trading.

However, I'd suggest that you seriously look into BNB.

They may not be the most decentralised, but with CZ's track record and their community dominance, I think it's clear cut that they'll be the most viable option. I think that Komodo will always be somewhat associated with anonymity which was their past, and I'm not sure whether or not that's going to be the way to go in the future.

Most of the projects on Binance Dex have high trading volumes and some well-developed coins will have a chance to be listed at Binance so for me this is the best decentralized exchange in the market . A lot of projects that used the ETH platform in the past have switched to the BNB platform because that's the best way to prove the value of that coin.

In my opinion, people will trend to participate in decentralized trading more and if Binance Dex has more new trading tools then this is an exchange that you should consider participating.

there is a similar project i saw weeks ago and they were doing bounty campaign here. its name is vitex, they do have a dividends program as well that by holding Vitex token, a holder will get VX coin which has value of some sort in their exchange. quite an interesting economy inside their exchanges and the team has reputable member with them from a reputable exchange as well.

i'm sure you can find its thread when you google Vitex exchange. have no clue but it their exchange is live, it must be good.

As for IDEX, this problem is solved there. In addition, Idex has a much more advanced design and speed.

Right, compared to forkdelta then I think idex has better features and good design. But if I have to choose, forkdelta seems the right choice even though liquidity is low but I like it more.
But still, dex exchange has a weakness where the price of tokens/coins traded there tend to be cheaper than other exchanges.

Some coins in forkdelta has good volume. More volume than IDEX too. The reason for this is a similar exchange forkdelta was hacked and coins for stolen. How on earth can someone hack a decentralised exchange?
IDEX has order delay problem when the volume is very high just like other decentralised exchanges. So it doesn't matter both are same and can be good/bad.

There is wrappedBTC - WBTC, but KYC is needed for that

Best DEX for me is IDEX. That's the dex I was using before and I think it is still decent up to now. Almost all new coins are on that site and it's good to use since it's more user friendly than any other dex. My friend recommended this to me if I remember it correctly. I just don't know about any other dex popular now. But, when I was active trading, IDEX is the one I use.

Just think of the concept in more depth before you go and invest in those so called dex.

The 2 most popular and famous dex exchnages are etherdelta/forkdelta idex. Both of them in reality are not dex and are centralised.
Evry project claiming that they will make dex is not true, they will profit from them and that means that they will be centralized.

I think that you are asking which DEXs have the highest trading volume, right?
Because all DEXs are similiar, but they have a different number of users and daily trading volume.

For example ETH DEX with high volumes are: IDEX or EtherDelta.  :)

BISQ and Komodo are good choices. Maybe you want to try Binance DEX too.
IDEX was my favourite decentralised exchange, until they implemented the KYC process.
I stopped using them, I also used them before and I think that they were the best during the old times but it has changed. @OP other DEXs that you can try.
9 Best Decentralized Exchanges That You Can Use To Trade NOW (https://coinsutra.com/best-decentralized-exchanges-dex/)

Thanks, not a bad set of decentralized exchanges. I suppose Index was not included in the list because of its centralized innovations.
Frankly, I have not heard about all the exchanges on the list. I wonder how significant the problems with liquidity are on the most popular of them.

Yes  Idex one of the best decentralized exchanges with good liquidity.
It has partially become centralized, but it has no analogues for trading in this niche.

But I don’t agree about delta. There is terrible liquidity and very slow execution of orders, as well as its updating.

The Binance DEX, is not a REAL DEX. All the nodes controlling and verifying the transactions is owned and controlled by Binance themselves.

Blocknet seems to be an awesome DEX just need more volume like the rest of the DEX's out there :)

Im also an Idex fun because theres a lot of erc based token that you can buy in this exchange site but unfortunately the KYC system is a shity for decentralized exchange site thats a reason I switch to binance dex but its not 100% dex.

For now, as long as I am concerned, IDEX has the highest volume of liquidity, recently they changed their policy and introduced KYC, which has cast some few on some traders who just want to stay and remain with some level of anonymity. Ddex is another DEX I love but does list anything which is not healthy and has low liquidity.

You probably missed that I've given already this link.  :D

Binance DEX is not a decentralized exchange site but that's a centralized exchange site. The main purpose of decentralized exchange site to create an exchange site ecosystem that is not fully controlled by a single party. Binance has over control to the binance DEX and that's centralized.
Yeah, it's not fully decentralized but as I've said maybe he want to try it because it's "Binance". A known exchange that he can trust with if he's too careful with the exchange that he's choosing. I've known it that it's not totally a DEX because CZ already hinted for that.

IMO WavesDEX is the fastest (almost fast as a centralized exchange) and easiest available DEX nowadays.
Gateway allow you to trade with BTC, ETH, ect... and fiat.

Even if you don't endorse Waves, you are not forced to trade with Waves pairs.

https://dex.wavesplatform.com/

What are the fees for waves dex exchange?
And is KYC procedure mandatory for normal use or only when using FIAT?

I have it installed, but I did not used it recently at all.

Taker fee:0.003 waves
Maker fee:0.003 waves
Withdrawal fee:0.003 waves

Idex has always been my previous choice, it makes me happy. However, the arrival of Binance Dex made me change my mind, I switched to using Binance DEX because it is safe and has a stable trading volume.

There is only one DEX i am using now and that is BINANCE DEX, i never had an issue on that exchange and the speed rate is very accurate and fast.
I am actively trading EOSBET on there, the volume is good for me as of now and they only have a few tokens/coin in their platform
They are not listing everyone who wants to be in, they have a good team filtering it before listing.

All Dex unfortunately have one big problem-it is small trading volumes for all currency pairs. I have not yet met a single Dex where there was a trading volume at least a little at the level of any of the centralized exchanges. I trade on them only if the coin is not placed on any of the Central exchanges. At the same time, I choose not some specific exchange, but one on which the coin I need is traded.

It's a good alternative as long as Binance doesn't withdraw its support and market makers. I really wonder what would be left of it would that happen, because all other non supported DEXs lack liquidity and use.

Throughout the last years not much has changed at all when it comes to DEXs gaining popularity---Binance thus far has been the most successful one because of how CZ did the marketing for it and the financial support he provides.

Binance dex is the reputation of the Binance Exchange itself. that is why people are choosing it now. they still feel safer on this exchange than on any other

I don’t know about all these projects that you are talking about, but I think that Binance DEX and IDEX has always been the best decentralized exchanges to me, all these listed by you are quite unknown and I am sure they are not very much popular, and one of the reasons you need to consider a popular dex exchange is because of the volume you will get.

The more users of a dex, the more it would be easy for your transactions to be carried out easily. You know what we have been struggling with as regards dex exchanges generally, it has really not been easy as CEX has taken over the whole platform, but I think that now that people are beginning to pay attention to some of these few listed ones, they might really be worth trying out for a reliable projects.

The best Dex I'm aware of is Idex, their token is costly but it's worth the investment. You can as well look for Upcoming Dex whose price is yet in cents or around 1-5$.

If the DEX project shows a lot of promising features as well as other already integrated features, then I might decide to invest in it. Although, I have not done one, except for those coming from centralized exchanges. However, everything in the crypto space is trend based. If the new trend falls on DEX projects, then I will gladly invest in it.

Different platforms with different DEX.
NXT,WAVES,ETHEREUM,BITSHARES,all of them had dex,but on a single chain, and some of them have high trading volume.

And I am also developing a dex based on polkadot, which is a multichain architecture, most suitable for cross chain DEX.
Hope can release more information later this year.

Am i the only one in this thread who still favors Forkdelta? I am not the op but i enjoyed to read the answers.
I didn't realize that waves dex is looking so beautiful today. I must try it again, it it used to be the place where the tokens went to die. And Komodo dex exist? It's hard to keep up with everything in this space, i need to try out every dex in this thread.

I used to use Etherdelta or now it's changed to Forkdelta. But the last 2 years I use IDEX. I think this is my best version of DEX. With a good UI, its use is simple, and of course there is also a lot of trading volume. Although there is a minimum of sales and purchases but I think this makes IDEX a DEX that is not a shit exchange.

Etherdelta and folkdelta are different, you may find out. They really look alike though and forkdelta got the limelight when etherdelta was hacked.

I've been using FORK DELTA for many years, I have no complaints about their exchange except that the volume is low and currently, they're asking for donations to survive that I don't really worry about because they received a huge support from the community. I like IDEX but each trade has a minimum.

Their are different, but there volume is not that high especially on Etherdelta after the hacking incidents. IDEX is my option for a best DEX since they are more secured, more friendly to the users and you can see many tokens there. Though it will depend on the coin/token you have because sometimes you don’t have an option to choose the exchange since your tokens are only listed on a not good exchange.

At present for decentralized exchanges which are quite good and in terms of trading volume it is also not bad as there are many other exchanges whose trading volume is falsified. Idex and also Forkdelta. can be chosen because Forkdelta has so many Tokens that are free without listing fees. some others are still complicated according to pemgirisamya

We were equally deceived that decentralized exchanges cant be hacked since every user has access to his own private keys and that single made traders loss confidence in etherdelta. Etherdelta and folkdelta usually dump price while have seen a sole pump from IDEX, most ERC20 gets listed here before getting on any centralized exchange.

In terms of usability and innovation, I think the Switcheo DEX wins hands down. You gotta see it and use it to believe it. Their exchange also comes with atomic swap capabilities which is what a lot of DEXs lack.

The only unfortunate thing is liquidity, the number 1 problem that all DEX faces.

IDEX can't be considered as DEX anymore since they start requiring KYC on all accounts created or newly register. IDEX is same with centralized exchange right now that holding customers data which is not ideal for crypto user that main purpose is to trade in fully decentralize exchange platform. Some of my tokens is lock there because I don't want to do KYC. I prefer my privacy to be safe.

I am also very angry about having KYC at this decentralized exchange because most DEX exchanges do not require KYC users and Idex is probably the first exchange that requires users to do this. I personally never wanted KYC and as soon as I got this information I stopped all trading activities because I was sure that if I didn't KYC, I would not be able to withdraw money. In my opinion it is best to join Forkdelta because this is the safest decentralized exchange in this market.

Try to explore EOS DEX, They offer a lot of potential coin with high trading volume. IDEX is the first DEX that turn into CEX after what they do. I hate forkdelta because there website is very slow to load
and my browser is not responsive when I'm trading there. And also the trading volume in FD is very low, Only few token there has a volume and the rest is useless. I promised that you will not regret using EOS DEX.

In my opinion, the best solution among all DEX at the moment is IDEX. And although they have introduced the KYC procedure, if you are a bona fide trader you have nothing to fear. This exchange has the highest trading volumes among all DEX. It is also very user-friendly interface and speed of operation of the whole site out of competition with any similar trading platforms. In the near future, Balance DES will be a good competitor for IDEX.

Some Exchanges are now starting to implement the KYC Process to be able to attract more funds. as in binance which is currently required for large funds to KYC. even though I myself do not really agree with that reason. An investor's data should become their privacy to sell digital assets without having to KYC against the exchange
