Yes, My idea is you have to be more patiently,
It makes you tired because of your mind on 2 BTC every day, so don't think it, get a job to find money and learning something new.

That is one of the common mistake of investors, buying at peak will only lead you to losses. But somehow it's good to see that you're still holding after a year of your investment.
No one can tell when is the next bull run, But it will be profitable for you if it will come since you have invested 2 BTC and you will be glad to yourself and see the result of you being patient for a long year.

My advise is add more patient buddy, your not alone in that situation. No one really knows when BTC will hit ATH again but as long as your still holding it and not selling you can still have a chance to recover your investment or make profit in the future if you really believe in the technology. But if your really in tough situation its your call to give-up your BTC investment.

Well that's your fault things happened. Just like what other posters said, patiently wait for it. Besides, the 18k price was a result of a bubble last December 2018. Don't expect it to go back there since the bubble just popped and prices have just returned to the mean. The bubble has already popped, the prices have returned to normal, but I really doubt bitcoin 20k would d be happening anytime sooner.

Dear thuyanhlien,

I am sorry that you made the bad decision before of entering Bitcoin at that very high price which I guessed happened around early part of last year or maybe in the last quarter of 2017, if I have it correct. Maybe at that time you were then assuming (just like me) that Bitcoin will still continue to rise maybe around $50K by end of 2018 but since it withered instead you are left with a non-earning asset and since you don't want to go for a big loss you are still waiting for the time when Bitcoin can be back at the $18K level or more which by then you might liquidate the said digital assets.

First and foremost, please know that you are not alone with this situation there are many of you who belong to this category right now. I am suggesting that if you don't need the money for emergency, please continue holding on to your Bitcoin. We are hoping that 2020 can be bringing many big good news for our coin and that its price will skyrocket.

Just continue what you are doing and don't lose hope. Profits can be gained by people who understand the value of waiting. Of course, not unless you are entertaining the idea of doing the trading instead then you can use your Bitcoin right now to grow more assets but of course be ready for the risks involved.

I have friends who also entered the Bitcoin market at a Bitcoin price of $18 000. My advice to them was not to sell those coins, but to keep on buying and trading coins at the current prices. So the logic with this is to buy again at a low price, like it was when it was say $3000 at the beginning of this year and to wait for it to increase in value.

They did this and bought more coins at $3000+ and sold some of those coins when it reached $9000+ <This gave them a profit of +/- $6000 per coin, give or take some trading fees>   ;)

I know a lot of people who also buy btc when it's price is very high and they also lose a huge amount of money and i think the best thing to do next time is just buy btc when the price is low, and right now is also a good time to buy because i am sure that in the future we can able to see the price of btc above $20k, let's just wait and have a long patient because investing in btc is a long term investment.

You know what, I believe that Bitcoin will return to its maximum price values in 2020. My assumptions are based on the fact that soon Bitcoin will be mined in 2 times more difficult, and in the days of halving Bitcoin price has always grown. In addition, the main cryptocurrency covers more and more countries and somewhere is already used as a currency to pay for goods and services. Just the price up can be pushed by trading futures on Bitcoin, I think that the money of institutional investors will raise the price using this financial instruments.

Pray for the best, expect the worst. There always a chance that we never reach those prices again, or BTC drops even lower and you'd lose all your money, I'm not saying this to scare you, but as you've experienced first hand, the crypto market is very scary.

I'm personally estimating pretty smooth sailing for the rest of the year and then we'll see rebounds up to the 15,000 region mid next year.

Good luck mate, hope you recover!

until now there is no other way but to hold your assets until the price returns to that level. but you need to realize that the $ 18k level is a very high level. if there is potential for bitcoin to reach it is likely to happen next year. to date, prediction after prediction is made, and the highest uptrend has only reached the price of $ 9300. You can see it in this article. (https://www.newsbtc.com/2019/10/14/bitcoin-readies-for-next-big-move-after-slow-weekend/)

Another way to return your assets is by trading. but you know the risk if you predict the wrong price. I can not give further advice on this matter.

don't just hold it that long.
there is much you can do when you have 2 btc now.
- do daily trading but you must understand the market situation and be skilled at it.
- buy IEO made by large exchanges.
- buy altcoin at a small price that has the potential to become big.

My advice about your situation is don't spend too much time just waiting. If you feel the decision you have made is wrong, then you should think of ways to turn things around. For example you can take part in staking programs that are available on several exchanges or take part in IEO programs organized by large exchanges such as Binance. From both of these you can get extra benefits rather than just holding BTC in your wallet.

Bitcoin will eventually be back on its All Time High. It will break it and then surpass it in due time. It will even reach $50,000. But if you are in a hurry and you need the profit pretty badly, you better be cashing out instead and leave the crypto world. I can sense you are impatient by saying it made you so tired and you really need the money to invest a plan. The price of Bitcoin is uncertain and its movement direction is also uncertain. You certainly need a high level of patience before everything will take place the way you wanted it.

First, you should be aware of all the possibilities that BTC will dump as it happened in the past already and its not new to investors.
You bought at a higher price compared to the current price and its down more than 50%, I don't think its not wise toughing it for other investment as you are likely surrendering crypto to risk with other investment which you are also not guaranteed to be profitable.

If you're not short in cash right now, I suggest to just hodl your assets. If bitcoin would continue to grow despite all attempts to rectrict its usage, then there's a chance it would reach another all-time high and when that time comes, be sure to sell your bitcoins, because if it crashed again, you'll wait additional years which you had already waited for too long. This is the risk in bitcoin, we cannot know if the market would crash and lay low for long durations of time. It's unpredictable, too much risk but if done right, would bring high reward.

whoops, 2 BTC is not a small number for me. the key to investing in the long term is to be patient, always updating the news every day. My advice is traded, if you are afraid of risk, trade in small amounts, let's say 30% of the total assets you have to trade. exchange on altcoin which has the potential to have high prices in the future, or invest in IEO / ICO projects.

stay strong, Bitcoin 2020 to the moon (prediction)  :)

If you don’t have money, then how are you going to invest in anything? First of all, find the money for a comfortable life. Find a job, one or two.
It is important that you have a source of income. When you have free money you can well invest it according to a previously developed investment plan.
Bitcoin is still a very promising investment, the main thing is not to rush, you have already learned from your mistakes.

You lose on the bitcoin value, but you actually do not lose. If you can learn to trade, you can use your 1 btc to buy an altcoin, any potential altcoin, and you will have an opportunity to increase your bitcoin amount. I am sure that you will have a chance to increase the bitcoin amount because of this time, the market price has already moved to a higher rate. You can analyze any coins which can be the next potential coin to increase so you will have your profit in bitcoin. That means you can add more bitcoin in your wallet, and that will make you another profit in fiat if the bitcoin price increase too in the future. I think many people do this because many of them buying bitcoin at the same price as you, so you are not alone to try to survive so far.

Trade some, not all. Try to risk for example half or quarter of 1 btc . The only way to earn now is thru trading , holding is effective since we all know that time will come that BTC can cope in these market, but if you really in need now then take some risk to trade if you know how to trade, in that way you'll be able to earn depending on your skills since your buying of bitcoin is way too high than its price now, I guess trading at this rate then that prices moves faster to red then green and vice versa can help even a little bit. This is assuming OP knows how to trade.

Yes, just hold since $20,000 per bitcoin is not happening right now. It will take several months  in my opinion. Just give time say next year, since halving is coming. Just keep the faith, bitcoin will bounce back again in the future, that is for sure.

Avoid making assumptions and setting high expectations. That will only worsen your disappointment and you might end up frustrated enough to sell at a loss and quit Bitcoin for good. Do not even set months for that $20,000 to come back. It may actually take at least a couple of years. Do not assume either that the reward halving will cause Bitcoin to climb back to $20,000. That may not happen after all. It is best to just brace yourself for the worst.

Going by the feelings and general utility of BTC I think that BTC can definitely surpass 20k pretty easily. But the question is when and how. When is a really tough question to answer if wee see the history of last 2 years it's been an extreme bearish phase for BITCOIN and still it's moving sort of sideways. Speculators are speculating that halving of the bitcoin could affect the price but So if that analysis holds true then maybe 2021 is the year we are going past 20k Otherwise only when there is another widespread adoption wave it could reach 20k once again.

You bought BTC during the bullish market and still holding until now so I would suggest you to keep holding it until we reach the new ATH which might happen before or after the Bitcoin halving and I bet you can do that since you already endured the bearish market over the past year.

Don't lose hope in Bitcoin and it's technology because it will be fruitful in the long run, just remember that you're not the only one who suffer losses on Bitcoin investment but still most of them believes that everything will be worth it that is why they keep holding Bitcoin.

OP has been holding Bitcoin for almost two years if my calculations are indeed correct and he has indeed been very patient waiting for it to climb so that he can make some profits but with OP decides to sell now he ends up losing a lot of money. I suggest he continue being patient and hold till it climbs because it maybe climbing very soon.

High expectation is always on the line when we talk about bitcoin, having an expectation helps us to motivate to continue holding it. We all know that bitcoin will not disappoint us, it proves itself a lot since before.
Bitcoin will be bullish again and that is something that we don't know when to happen. It will climb up soon but we should not expect it to happen overnight.

The best advice I can give to you is to be more patient way more than before. Yes, I know how it feels like getting caught in that kind of trap and trust me time will come and you'll get your profit back.
The second option you can do is to cut your losses and start recovering it from doing trades and don't focus on bitcoin alone, if you're brave enough to do this you can recover your lose on buying bitcoin slowly but surely.

See you need to be patient and stay calm for a long period as prices will take some time to surge to $20000 again as they are struggling to rise above $10k at the moment. Its good that you are still positive and have not loose hope so try to leave your investment as it is and wait for perfect time to earn profits as you have invested at the peak prices so you need to be more patient than others.

I have the same situation as you but instead I bought alts at its peak price. I suggest to be more patient, there's no good selling it for a loss. Bitcoin will recover really soon as there is a halving event that will happen next year. As of now as long as you're not selling it's just a paper loss not an actual loss.

There are only two things to do if you want to recover, first you should trade and earn little by little or the most time consuming is to wait until the price surpass the acquisition price. It will took couple of years for sure if the market condition wont change.
indeed the only way is to trade your token, it's like a POS system, but you who trade it,
I will take an example, if you have 1 BTC and you trade to get 1.2 BTC. 0.2 BTC is your advantage, it looks easy if you can

Bitcoin probably recover to $20K in 2020 after halving or at least in 2021, one year after halving. Bitcoin price proven has reached new ATH a year after halving. Just be patient waiting for it.
If trading is not your expertise,  do not gambling with it,  just try another way to earn capital, such as loans or pawning.

Before doing that, make sure to invest your time reading and watching tutorials that will help you to understand how to work with scalping or short term trading. You can use your Bitcoin to pair with moving alts and try to earned even in smallest ways, that two years of waiting for the recovery season should be enough to grow your assets.

For OP, things still positive and the chance of seeing such amount still possible but also consider other options while waiting for the market to pumped back to that level.

Hey. Well first of all , you did a long term investment because you have bought during the bull run which is not indicated but in my honest opinion , bitcoin will go way more above 20k$ when the next run will begin so just have patience , don't panic sell when it goes to 18-20k$ and just wait and enjoy the run. I understand you need money for a plan but cashing out is not an option but its your money in the end , your call.

I do not have any idea when the price of bitcoin will go up again to 20000$ because we know it is unpredictable. Until now, you still not regain all your losses because the price of bitcoin is still down. But, there is nothing to worry about it simply because the time will come where the price will totally recover and might hit again the price of 20000$. Just add more patience mate and just keep on holding because at the end of the day you will not regret that you hold your bitcoin.

It really is to long I understand that, specially when you need money for other important matter and yet you cannot trade it because it's like giving up and admitting that you lost your investment, it's your situation you have to decide it for yourself, if you badly need money and this is the only source then trade it and cut your loss, if you still have other source, motivate yourself more and keep holding until you realize that you already made a profit.

First of all the price increase to $20k was sheer manipulation by a few exchanges. Such happenings are not healthy for a market as small as that of cryptocurrency. Becuase of that manipulation, many people left cryptos as it isn't really safe. I doubt such a price is going to be touched unless the next halving as that would create a hype which is necessary to support such price range. So, I would say that it might  happen in 2020 second half.

let say ;this recently fall in prices give to bitcoin a good correction . bitcoin will reach 20000 usd per btc next year . i think 1 year if there is a  masse dump from whale like current moment.
for sure 20k usd per btc from current price level 8000 in period of 1 year is a good investement

I guess you have invested in the wrong time and just carried away by the hype when the price was quite high. However, it's still possible for Bitcoin to reach that value. I advise that you'll have more patience and wait until the market recovers again. I know that you have been waiting for too long but just don't lose hope. If you really need it for something, then it's for you to decide whether to sell it or not.

I think there's no other way, you must wait until bitcoin recovers and become $20K or even more. Seemingly that you have gained a big loss and the only solution I know is that you should wait, hold and be more patient, we don't know when bitcoin will rise but I'm pretty sure that it will. You must choose whether to spend it or you could wait but be aware that if you sell that will is a really big loss besides, holding a bitcoin for such a long time is more likely an investment anyway so better to hold it.

After the recent start of Bitcoin futures trading, everyone hoped for positive changes in the cryptocurrency market.  But the situation, contrary to all positive expectations, has changed for the worse and was accompanied by a significant decrease in cryptocurrency prices.  I believe that this is the result of the manipulation of large whales and other speculators in the cryptocurrency market.  Based on this, I believe that the current period is one of the last chances to buy cheap Bitcoin.

You bought at a peak that many agree seem anomalous so I don't think you'd be getting your money's worth back any time soon. What you can do is to just avoid thinking about it too much so you don't stress yourself out.

Just forget that you every have those (make sure you can still access them though). Don't even talk about it to others. You'll just get demoralized from what they'll tell you. Just learn from this and don't be an emotional investor the next time.

You need to be patient my friend.
In time the bitcoin price will be fully recovered.
It seems like you entered the cryptocurrency market at the wrong time.
Even though, we are all expecting the bitcoin price to be fully recovered somewhere within 2020.
I know there are lots of bitcoin price predictions out there but you have to be patient, very soon everything will be over.

A lot of people would say that buying at peak is bad but we never know when that would ever happen since we can't really identify a peak in this volatile market. It is unfortunate that your time of investing matches that price but I think all you can do now is wait. If you are confident of your trading skills, you can also do that. Despite your losses, if you know how to move your money, you will be able to get a profit slowly that can even get back your loss. But the best for now is to be patient, good things come by for those who wait.

Ouch! That's what I'm always talking about. First, you should invest what you can afford to lose but good thing I don't feel any regrets to your statement. Actually you made the right decision of hodling. Second, invest only your extra money on crypto or at least diversify your money like putting parts of your savings into business and just keep some of it as well — this is where you fail. We are currently on the bearish market and you are struggling now, that was sad for you :(.

I don't know when btc meet its ATH once again but don't lose hope and just continue hodling. Wait until thr bitcoin halving, that could be your last resort.

Even if he purchased the initial coins when the price of bitcoin was at an all time high he could end up in a profit if he is able to invest in bitcoin when the price went down and he could average the loss and then he could wait for the rally and end up in a profit, patience and strategy is everything when it comes to investment and even if you encounter a set back if the market goes down, you will eventually recover by strategic investment when the market goes down.

Your thread reminds me the most wanted time in the blockchain system, It was mostly the end of 2017 and early 2018, Most of the Bitcoin holder has got a large amount of money from this platform, but you made a mistake after all, How could you buy two BTC at that rate? I never imagine. It's a very wrong decision to buy Bitcoin when the price of Bitcoin going high, it's only a matter of time in order to change the pricing trend. when the price is going down then the most suitable time to collect Bitcoin and holding Bitcoin obviously always makes more. It's really difficult to predict when again the price will be beast and turn it 20k, Like you, a lot of people are eagerly waiting for this situation. Hopefully, this end of the 2019 would be like that.

Losing hope means there is no choice but to let go especially if one is facing some financial difficulties. One of the common denominators with many Bitcoin investors especially the newbies (I am still a newbie too) is putting all they can and all they have to the table without thinking that it is not good for an investor not to diversify his exposure...this way Bitcoin has become like a big gamble to them. Well, a gamble at the right time can produce big surprises but for many of us this can be a formula to failure. Bitcoin should be viewed in the same way we think about stocks, commodities, derivatives and forex and should not be taken as having some magic wand that can bring us riches beyond our imagination.

Why did you buy bitcoin when it was 18k in the first place? It'll be hard for you to gain profit from it since the price is already high. And even if it'll reach at 20k, you'll only gain a little compare to others. But really, you just need to be more patient. I know you've been patiently waiting but you need to extend your patience 'cause if not, you'll lose and you've just wasted those previous time where you waited if you won't extend your patience.

Nobody knows the price in the future, he bought during that time because he thought the price will continue to rise.
Let's just say he was one of the victims of FOMO that time but we cannot conclude that he already loss his money, he will only loss if he will sell.
The word that is very popular, which is  "HODL" is what should be applied here because eventually bitcoin will again make a new ATH.

We will only have a problem if that amount we risk is not good for long term investment.

so even in this topic there are several different dates, you may choose one. which one you choose?
to many questions without answers. all you have to do is wait for the right price for you.

Bitcoin is an investment place and I think if you try to find another investment place or even you will choose altcoin then it will be good to you to sell your bitcoin now and leave the investment industry. I think you are not feasible to be an investor, because you will make the same thing (in the new place) when the investment place that you choose is decreasing and make you lose.

So, that is the first thing that should be done when you start to invest. Find more first the ins and out about the investment place. Find the reason why you got interested to that place investment, you had spend a lot of money on it and you should think about it wisely before you begin. As other consideration, bitcoin will face halving event in the next year it would be good you have to find about the information first before you make a decision to sell it.

Bitcoin should be viewed in the same way we think about stocks, commodities, derivatives and forex and should not be taken as having some magic wand that can bring us riches beyond our imagination.

This is the common problem for those people who put all of their money in investment, buying bitcoin at $18,000 is brave, it seems OP have faith on bitcoin that time where he thought that it could go up beyond $20,000 in the year 2018 after bitcoin's price drop last year (January 2018). There is no need to hold your investment if you badly need it, the only way to get over it is to accept the fact and learn from it.

Selling it will kill your courage but it is a new hope rather than to starve to death, there is always new opportunity and chances after failures, we just got to keep trying and never let ourselves down.

no one will know when the price of bitcoin can return to the price of $ 20k again but surely it will happen because the circulation of bitcoin will increase from year to year and it is increasingly difficult to get bitcoin so that from this influence can give the price of bitcoin to an expensive price, so still hold the bitcoin that you have and do not let you sell it at cheap prices.

Yes, holding it is the right choice for now because the bitcoin movement is still dubious.
bitcoin to reach $ 20 thousand or more is everyone's hope but that is not necessarily proven, so holding it is my best choice and I will wait for news to prove it and in my opinion an increase in bitcoin always happens at the end of the year and the reality is not true even though there is actually an increase but not accurate.

No one can tell you for sure when bitcoin will back to 20, it's a waste of time to ask such questions. You invested in wrong time, now you can only wait and be more patient. Need money? Find a job and never rely on quick profit here. It is crypto market, so there is always a risk.

Then it is much more a waste of time responding to a question you consider a mere waste of time. That's ironic. And one more thing, everybody needs money and everybody loves quick profit. Some people are even posting here just for the sake of earning money from the signature they are promoting. Familiar?

BTC will be back to $20,000. That is with a 100% guarantee. I just hope that you are all still holding to your BTC when that time arrives.

Difficult for btc conditions to reach 20k, maybe one of your expectations/hope is halving btc which is predicted in the next year or two. Your loss is more than 50%, I'm quite surprised and sad for you, you can sell some bitcoin if you really need money. There are some investment management tricks (one of trick is renew invetsment) by cutting the amount of your investment even if it loses, the problem here is you lose value +50% and lack of your knowledge in cryptocurrency investment.

how do you not stop loss when the market is corrected?
but now you are too late if you want to stop loss now and now you have to stay patient, just waiting for your BTC to go up, so don't worry because you are holding when the market is bullish.
if you still have funds, you can buy at current prices, it can reduce losses,
and remember, this is a lesson, always keep cold funds, because cold funds are needed at times like this.

When bitcoin returned to $ 12000 last July, I thought Bitcoin would go to $ 20000, but the market changed direction to $ 8000,
I hope this will be the last bottom to reach that price, for sure we have to be patient
The $8300 barrier has already been broken, if the next barrier will be broken its price will continue to fall. If bitcoin price will survive the $8200 barrier this will be a good sign and its price might slowly increasing.
$20k will still be a long journey for now to bitcoin, and if its price continue to stay like this, its road to $20k will take long enough.

It makes you tired because of your mind on 2 BTC every day, so don't think it, get a job to find money and learning something new.

yes I agree with you rather than tired of thinking bitcoin that does not go up you better find another busy. You can find a job so you get money. I give advice not to make investment or trade crypto as the main income because it is very risky. we don't know when prices will rise and fall. but don't give up be patient I'm optimistic that bitcoin can rise again. bitcoin is currently in a downtrend later when it's time for bitcoin to experience an uptrend. patience is the key to successful crypto investment.

Basically, that's what it is at the moment. BTC hitting 20k again is very far away from now, it takes more than a regular bull run to move BTC up to that extent. With support lines getting broken on the charts, we are in circa Very long wait, longer than we may think.

When you invest your money in bitcoin you should understand how risky it is especially you bought at $18k, its a high price to engage yourself in crypto. Well I cant blame you either because that time the price is soaring high and some investors thought it will continue but we forgot the market is high volatile so anything is possible to happen.

We often say dont invest what you can afford to lose and now you need the money to invest for other things, what you can do is be patient because we cant accurately say when will the price of btc return on its ATH.

Keep holding who knows the future might be good for crypto.

Dear all,

I bought 2 BTC when it were 18k USD/1BTC and lost all my other assets with BCC 400usd.
I still have been keeping them with the belief that it will recover and over 20k.
it is too long time and that makes me so tired, i need money to invest a plan, but there is no money
Do you have any idea?

thanks
I am sorry about your losses. We should accept that crypto world is different than others.

BTC will reach 20k again, but I can not tell you when. If there is another way where you can raise this money, why you should hold BTC? You can at least sell BTC to any coin that will provide extra money, and you can change it to BTC again after making profit.

That is an option but be careful with this option. It could make you grow your Bitcoin or it could reduce it further. But that is one way to increase your Bitcoin if you are not buying additional amount anymore. The best entry is when the coins are dropping in price. That is the hardest time to buy for many people because that is an emotional time, but if you really want to buy coins with low prices, you must counter the flow.

You need more patience. If you can still hold those BTC that you have bought when the price is too high, do not sell it for losses. Once the bull-run starts it might surpass the previous ATH and you can still get some profit. It might be better to accumulate some cheap BTC if you still have spare just to somehow lower the average investment that you have made. Just be patience, the price is somehow getting better.

Still he will lose his profits if he do that, he will still hold after he bought some coins because of he sell it early, the output will still be the same. Holding is the best option and patient will support that to get that profits we want when the market get hype again to pump up all the sleeping giants here in the world of cryptocurrency.

What are you talking about? The guy doesn't have any profit yet as it's value is losing more than half. You cannot just wait forever when there are other opportunities on the table.

If I am in your situation and I see a good opportunity to earn then I will grab it. You can sell a portion of your bitcoin and go on with that new plan of yours. Rich people calls time as gold for a reason.  ;D

I think before the bitcoin halving, usually the price will go up before the event happens. push the price up. Take a look at LTC you will see.

after bitcoin halving, I'm sure bitcoin price can reach over 20k. you can see the history from 2012 until now, which has undergone 3 times halving, and after that, the price always to the moon.

hope this prediction is correct. looking at charts and history that occurred in the last few years indeed makes halving an important enough point for the rise in the price of bitcoin, and it has even happened several times in every halving. however, halving is worth waiting for, if you have lost a few $ due to falling bitcoin prices, the following year, bitcoin prices might be able to touch the $ 20k level.

Why you intent to buy when bitcoin is around $18,000 I think it is a big mistake because at the very high price you intent to buy it and now it is very down you are suffering for heavy losses, the $20,000 usd that you are wishing would have a possible to come but I am sure that it is not very soon because as we can see and experience right now, bitcoin and the market is very dump. It would be better for you to just hold that until the next bull run comes.

That was quite a risky move you did out there, you bought bitcoin while it is at its highest with the belief that it would keep on rising. You should have thought about it hard first before doing so. Now, all the choices you have left is to just wait and see if the price will rice back again or just let it go and accept that you've lost a large amount of money. Be careful next time so that you won't have any regrets anymore when crisis starts to occur once again.

Don't lose hope, it is not yet too late for you, you can still accumulate to compensate the loss you incurred, anyway, if you are not in a hurry and you don't need your fund yet, better to just hodl it. I know it is tiring but you never know what could happen this year and to upcoming years, we know the potential of Bitcoin, so think well before you decide.

I guess you first entered crypto and you were tempted by the increase in BTC ☹️.  like you have to be patient buddy to wait for the price of bitcoin to return to $ 20k.  I believe that it will return at the end of this year.  Some crypto experts such as Thomas Lee predict that bitcoin will touch $ 20k by the end of the year.

I thought all those who bought in the all-time high already sold their shares, but I have to commend you for extending your patience, you are over 50% loss if you are going to sell all of it, if you still can afford to sell only 20% and extend your patience to another year do it, we have halving coming and this could be your last big chance to recover your lost .
This is a tight situation you are in if I am in that position I would have sold at least 30% when it hit $13 k this year, you are one of the rare that has this kind of patience.

Eeeek!  You bought right near the top, but that's a mistake that I am sure a bunch of traders made.  It's hard to keep a lid on your emotions when the bitcoin market is going wild, and in general hard to *not* buy something when its going up in value every day like bitcoin was back then.

Good you held onto the coins you bought, because I bet you that many traders who did the same as you sold in a panic when the price dropped.  Just hodl.  I cannot say for sure what the btc market is going to do, but I am fairly confident that it will get back to the price point at which you bought it and then go much higher.  So just hold on and wait for the next bull market run.  It's coming soon.

Yeah, BTC has a good track record of the halving and it is considered as one of the major events for the crypto. After each successful halving, the price has experienced a great growth rate and in fact, it had also attained a new ATH. Therefore we can easily expect the price to reach over 20k$ this time also. So, it is better to be patient now as I believe the halving would be worthy of it...

This is the what really happened most in every person, sometimes I do that too, whenever I see that the price is increasing, I always can't restless and I wanted to buy and earn even small profit, but what happened was I got rekt, but now I am controlling my emotions, I make sure to buy always at the dip and not at the top.

That's so sad to hear since it's almost 2 years ago but until now bitcoin price still doesn't reach $20k. It still drops down and I don't know what is happening now. There are already investors who back out due to its low value for now. I think it will take time for bitcoin price to reaches $20k again just like 2017.

Just a friendly reminder, you have nothing to lose if you don't sell your bitcoin or convert into fiat because that is still the same quantity in your wallet. Don't lose hope I know that bitcoin will surge when next halving come, just keep it holding until it is back to the price when you are invested your bitcoin. Once your profit was there you may cut it and reinvest.

You should invest in BTC only money that you can afford to lose to not have this problem right now, but you have to answer a simple question to know the answer and solve your problem:

If you sell your BTC, will you gain more money with this investment or not?

If you'll gain money, so sell BTC and put your money in this another investment
If you'll not gain a good percentage in this investment, better wait

Remember, you have the same amount in BTC, this is important for long term

First of all, congrats that you withstand the 2018 bear market. You already bear the long waiting period of hodling those coins so why give up now.

And I just wonder, in the span of 2 years, you didn't come up with another plan or somehow thinks of another source of income? The moment you decided to hodl for long, you should be aware of the risks and possibilities that might happen along the way and accept that the waiting period might take several years. And for that, you must be prepared and you must consider your hodl coins as "loss".

Bitcoin price will surely breach again the $18,000. However, it will take time. You really need to work for other sources of income. You managed to acquire $18,000+ before so I know you can think of a way to support your financial status.

It's hard to expect for now, but we should always be prepared whatever happens, if the Bitcoin has fallen, are we prepared? Do we have back up funds in case of emergency? Are we going to stress out ourselves for the loss? or are we going to buy more, we should think this things and be prepared before it will happen so we will not be panic at all.
I don't really understand what you're saying, but this is all speculation and prediction for what will happen in the future. if this is a matter of preparation, everyone has their own preparation, in fact, I suspect that there are some people who save all in their asset on bitcoin to wait for halving to occur because they suspect the price of bitcoin will rise higher after halving, and they are ready with all the risks.

thats unfortunate event for the OP but yeah he should be doing something else to earn income.
is he not working and just sitting all day long at his home and just waiting for the BTC to go up? of course not, so more then likely he has money even if we say it's not that much one thing he can do is take a look at short term trading. in the long run, he can earn money in that kind of trading too.
he should not be waiting in vain for that matter. at least do something, right?

the only way you can do is continue to wait until the price of bitcoin reaches above the purchase price you made before. only patience you can do, because you did the wrong strategy by buying bitcoin prices when market trends are increasing. I feel salute for the courage that you did at that time by buying some bitcoin when it cost $ 18k, but you don't need to complain if you have full confidence that the price of bitcoin will rise sharply in the future.
Right now best decision is just wait and watch because if you are going to sell in lost then its very hard for you to recover you done a very hard decision and bought these coins at this rate now done another hard decision and just wait because we are surely going in positive mode in next few weeks hopefully your this patience give you good benefit.

I know that sometimes the temptation can really be there when we need money to just close up our investment in bitcoin and use if for the purpose,  but what usually do encourage me a lot to keep holding on is that what if I had lost the fiat I invested to theft or fire accident and there is no assurance that I could get it back,  will I not move on in life and look for other alternative means to meet up with my daily need, so don't be tempted to move it out because I know that if you take that step and withdraw your investment prematurely and at a loses,  there is absolutely possibility  of you having a very big regret in future,  see bitcoin has future investment and wait for more few years,  the price of bitcoin will surely rise again,  I can assure of that.

Right now, Bitcoin has fallen below $8000 again. This is a very disturbing signal. I think that some bulls are already disappointed that Bitcoin will be able to rise to the level of its historical price maximum this year. If Bitcoin will cost $20,000, it will be only next year, before halving. In the current situation, the bears dominate, the ETF launch is once again postponed and the bulls can only surrender.

If everything goes well and if we see any bull run then we could achieve the mark of $20k.

When the price of bitcoin reached 13k usd a few months ago, I felt very excited and was sure that the price of 2020 would reach 20k usd. However, looking at the last 2 months' market, it looks like bitcoin will only be at a maximum of 15k usd next year.
hopefully my prediction is wrong and bitcoin will really reach 20k usd

what about your prediction last year ? id also like to hear them  . i think you also predicted a high price for btc but unfortunately your prediction failed.

now your current prediction is kinda bit high and judging by the price of btc have these days , i wouldnt even believe that it can climb  to 11k usd next year. im already contented and okay if ever btc price reach at 10k usd .

It makes you tired because of your mind on 2 BTC every day, so don't think it, get a job to find money and learning something new.

It's hard to assume when it will be back at $20K, but by the end of 2020 a lot of things could change. If you are not in emergency situation, I would suggest keeping them at least for a year longer. Also think about investing in other currencies, maybe trading, etc. It's hard to talk from this point of view, but stay strong fella!

I dont think it can go up to 20k soon, btc price is struggling to go up, several times it try to hit higher then the correction was happened, there is chance to make money in this sideway situation, you can buy at low and sell at high, this sideway already happened for quite some time and I don't think there will be a change soon

Patience is the key in bitcoin so I would suggest to be patient a little more, i'm sure bitcoin will recover and it may reach more than 20k, it may happen in the coming days or perhaps months just wait a little longer. This is not the time to lost faith in bitcoin because it will surely bounce back. If incase you needed money then might as well participate in bounties and signature campaigns so that you are earning while waiting for the price to reach $20k.

Trading is hard if you are new to it. With the volatility of these crypto currencies, it is hard to keep up. Better hold your bitcoins for now and if you have money to spare, maybe you can do some small tradings too so you will be able to experience that cruel market. At least you will be having an idea of how great it is to trade.

I'm sure you buy because FOMO, if you feel tired you should know 36k usd is not small money. Investing without thinking is the most reckless thing, anyhow cryptocurrency is a high-risk investment. Bitcoin prices are uncertain volatility, maybe halving will be your only hope.

I have idea, make more money in your work, and invest it as you planned. I suggest something else in the crypto world such as trading but that is the same as diving into a cliff.

Good idea is just to try to not think about your investments every day. Try to forgot about it for a while

Good on having an earning while waiting with patience for the $20k price. It is always good to move without any price prediction for the future. One needs to be prepared to face the worst market scenario, else need to consider the ongoing market trend and move forward. If the expectation is big and nothing happened it will be a big loss.

Think of bitcoin reaching $20k previous time. It all happened in a sudden when users were speculating about the price to reach $8000 and $10000. This time too I believe the price will reach $20k and even higher, but all happens in an unexpected time.

I still have been keeping them with the belief that it will recover and over 20k.

I am sorry for the situation in which you are but you are the one that is responsible for it, you could have sold your coins just a few months ago for 14k, this would have meant selling for a loss but it was your best chance to get most of your money back, now the price is below 8k and we have no way to know when it will recover and it is even likely the price will keep going down, so realistically your only option is to keep holding your bitcoin until you can sell for a profit and you will have to delay whatever investments plans you have.

I think in order to recover your losses in Bitcoin you still need a lot of patience. Especially we do not know when it will happen again. So keep holding your bitcoin because you have been stuck in a situation where if you sell you are more likely to lose, and if you hold on it will likely raise $ 30,000.

First look for a job and don't even think about Bitcoin. And you come back after years sure you have a profit.

Never sell your coins with the current price because this would make you lose a huge amount. Be more patient and keep positive because the price will eventually reach more than $20k but maybe not this year. It would be good if you still have funds to buy at these current low prices because you can sell them anytime  when the price reaches $10k and eventually earn good profits.
It is going to be a very big loss for anyone that removes his investment in bitcoin right now, except maybe someone that bought at $4000 and probably bought up to 100 coin of bitcoin and above, then that should be enough profit for such person and I know that aside whales, average people have less than 100 bitcoin.

It is really not advisable that we sell our bitcoin at this price because I know for sure that within the next 2 years bitcoin price will actually rise far more than the $20k that is even predicted here. I am so confident that when the bull run of cryptocurrency starts, bitcoin will surely make a run for up to 5x of the current price, and I think I don't need to calculate what that will be now, we can imagine how big our investment would be at that price.

Trading is hard if you are new to it. With the volatility of these crypto currencies, it is hard to keep up. Better hold your bitcoins for now and if you have money to spare

There is no easy start for everything, beginning always means to learn, and the longer time you spend on studying something, it will be more easier for you to Trade.

maybe you can do some small tradings too so you will be able to experience that cruel market. At least you will be having an idea of how great it is to trade.

This doesn't make sense at all, it is like you are saying try to cut yourself with a knife then stop it when you know it hurts and stop the bleeding. Losing and earning profits in Trading is great, there is nothing to be sad about it, it is a part of a Trader's life, you just have to be use to it and endure the lossed in order to have huge profits in the long run. Don't let your sadness ruin the momentum you have in Trading.

This is the reason why we need to devide our funds into different cryptos and not just rely on a single crypto. Like in your case, when bitcoin price dumps, you have no choice aside from to wait or to sell it. As of now, I think that it is better to wait until atleast it was 18k and convert it back to your desire currency to somehow be safe. Next time be mindful on your decision so that it will not happen again.

The OP does not have other choice but to keep on holding his coins untill bull run starts because if he will sell it today, he might only regret it because he will just lose a huge amount and will not make big profits anymore when there are chances that bitcoin price starts to pump. For now, it's more important to be more patient and more focused so that he will not come up with a negative decision.

last July was the best price of bitcoin this year at $ 13,000. congratulations to those who bought bitcoin in January because at that time the price of bitcoin was only $ 3k, of course now they have made a big profit. and unfortunately I missed that. because at that time I did not have enough money. and now i am trying to buy bitcoin at a price of $ 8k hopefully in 2020 bitcoin can reach $ 20k this is the hope of all bitcoin investors.
With every passing year, the price of bitcoin will increase, making it expensive than earlier even during dips. There is no need to pity yourself because as compare to many other people, you are still an early bird to this train. You are doing the right thing. Bitcoin is going through dip at present and now is the last chance to grab this digital asset at a low price. Indeed, it will gain far more value than 20k dollars in coming days.

You made a mistake, sorry if my words are not polite, but you are very eager to get a profit so you do not think about the consequences yes indeed bitcoin is a long-term investment but even so don't let us lust for huge profits always use, I say again always use a stop loss to minimize losses that are very much, if you already get a profit even though a little immediately sell, do not hold too long. if you want to invest try with a small coin in binance in my opinion can get a profit even though a little.

Many people who bought bitcoin like amount that you bought and you know what they still doing right now? They are still keeping their bitcoin because they impatient now of they sell it more than 50 percent of their capital lose for sure but if they still hold their bitcoin still have chance to back their capital that they invested to the bitcoin and plus a some profit because I believe not only 20k dollars possible but more than that.

I have no "calculations" that would result with us having a $20k bitcoin price, but I think the answer of "long term" is always valid, because in the end bitcoin is something limited and even tho we have thousands of them printed everyday until may and then even thousands in couple days will be possible so the "limited" nature is not really too limiting right now but eventually it will be, we are in year 10 right now and 18 million of 21 million is already printed, in the end if the coding is as solid as we trust it, eventually there will be all coins printed and the coins will dry up and price will skyrocket for sure.

It may take some time, we need to be patient, but in the end we will see it happening for sure, just wait for the miners to not print out as much as they are right now.

We cannot here tell fortune. Simply look back at all these predictions. In 99.99% of cases, they did not simply come true. Even TA is useless in everything which refers to the cryptocurrency. There are too many things that affect it, and not only demand and supply. Here is the policy (of 1 country or global), crisis, even the elections of a new president in a separately taken country. Meanwhile, it is evident that Bitcoin will be gaining. In 5-6 years it will cost times more than now.

How come is there any prediction proof you have to show and prove that this amount will be reached? But I believe we can find the Bitcoin Roxie to reach the 20k USD at the time halving.
Even last time bitcoin reaches the big value from 2k USD to massive 15k USD and more value. So I expect it on 2020.

for now, I don't think that this year the price of bitcoin can reach $ 20,000, however, it's quite difficult. in fact, I don't think the developments made in 2020 will have a very high effect on bitcoin this year. At the end of this year, the most ideal price achieved is bitcoin reaching the level of $ 10k or the highest is $ 12k. that's what I thought, and if the price of bitcoin can return to the level of $ 20k, that might happen in 2020.

That was one of the very bad mistakes that you do it would be hard for you know that the bitcoin is around $7,900 ony almost a hundred percent of dump. This would probably wait a very long time until the bitcoin got a high dump again and I think it will really very hard for now as we can see it is so down. I suggest to just hold your bitcoin because if you panic sell it right now you probably get a lot of losses by then so just wait it, that would be the right decision to do.

I think this is definitely a question of "when" rather than "if". The OP may have bought in at the ATH, but remember this is only the ATH so far. There is still a very long way to go on the bitcoin journey; we are still in the early days when only a small proportion of the population only any BTC at all. I'm sure the time will come when $20k for one BTC seems impossibly cheap, just as the idea of people buying in at $1k seems cheap today - but at the time when the price was $1k, that seemed expensive compared to those who bought in at $10.

The comparison way back is good since there's no one who can accurately predict what will be the next value of bitcoin. If demands will be asked and  bring more new investors inside the market potentially we will not just see $20k but we will see higher than that. Some predicted that it can go up to $100k  who knows, Bitcoin actual numbers against people around the world. We need to wait for more further updates and if how the entire crypto industry will be embraced in the long run.

No it is not much hard to predict about the price of Bitcoin now, the price of Bitcoin in this year has changed a lot and it has corrected upto greater extent, now the price is around $8k and I think it is not difficult to cross $22k at the end of the year 2020, we should hope for the best and should suggest everyone to hold Bitcoin for longer time then it is possible for Bitcoin to pump.

Waiting when bitcoin halving is very realistic to see bitcoin back above $20k, every four years bitcoin is halving price where last halving on 2017 and bitcoin up almost to $20k, next halving is 2021 where many investor waiting will bitcoin back again to higher price or not. Bitcoin will have lower on bitcoin halving in 2021 with many investor not happy with bitcoin still down.

I do have an idea: stop watching the price of bitcoin so closely.  Hopefully you didn't invest money into bitcoin that you're going to need soon, but I get the feeling you did.  If you can, just step back and don't watch the price as often as you do.  There's no question in my mind that bitcoin will get back to its ATH, but it'll take some time for the bullish sentiment to get back to where it was.  Right now the market is taking a prolonged breather, which it is wont to do from time to time.  This is the period where the weak hands are shaken out of the market--so if I were you I wouldn't sell what you bought.  Just hold onto it and wait until you're in the black.  It'll come.

I'd love to quote somebody else's post and reply to it, but this thread is wall-to-wall shitposts, probably made by members who've no interest in bitcoin other than what they earn from spamming.  Sad indeed.

True HODLers don’t care about the price. BTC can be $1,000, $100,000, or even $0, they will still HODL. forever. It means hodling until you don't deal in fiat paper money ever again. The value at next ATH might be worth $150,000 fiat dollars but that is irrelevant. You can get a million Venezuelan dollars right now for cheap too. The only sound money is Bitcoin, so you hold it until the true value reveals itself in the market.

I feel like Bitcoin is still fairly new and has a lot of growth potential. But this is my impression of it. The devs have a lot of experience in the space and they are working on it, but i see some people complaining about the price and i should say to them i don't really see it breaking $10,000 in 2019 again, but I do think the general trajectory will be upwards and then it will accelerate in 2020-2021 until next ATH in 2023.

Maybe it will take a years before be back at the price of $20k. And it has been long years bitcoin drop the price but for now it come at price of $8k actually for me that was good price to bitcoin and recovering from a price of $5k since in this year bitcoin drop on that price although bitcoin has been move quietly maybe it can touch to $20k of price. It is better if you will be patiently waiting, but for sure it will take too long before it will definitely hit again the last ATH's, bitcoin has a hard time increasing its price this year even the last year, as of now I am not expecting bitcoin value will rise this year but there are always possibilities.

however the opportunity to reach the price of $ 18k is not yet clear. until now the price of bitcoin is even so hard to maintain the price of $ 8k. but, I advise him to hold on until next year, because the opportunity to have high prices in the coming year is so great. it all depends on his patience. judging from his circumstances, he has been holding back the bitcoin he has had since 2017, I think it's okay to wait a few more months.
Bitcoin price movements are still stagnant at the rate $8k, but the opportunity to increase up to $18k I think is still wide open at the end of this year. We must be really patient if we wait for the moment of the Bitcoin pump until it reaches $20k. I predict it will happen in 2021, after Halving Bitcoin.

Back is not an exact and suitable word for bitcoin because from the past, bitcoin still could not conquer the $20k mark, so we should not think about when bitcoin will return to that price level, the question here is when bitcoin will reach that price, and in my mind, bitcoin does not have many favorable conditions for breaking through to that price level. Agree that in recent times, the price has returned $13k as you said but not sustained for too long, the accident once again covered, Bitcoin's price has always been manipulated too much, a trend of record breaking is unlikely

however the opportunity to reach the price of $ 18k is not yet clear. until now the price of bitcoin is even so hard to maintain the price of $ 8k. but, I advise him to hold on until next year, because the opportunity to have high prices in the coming year is so great. it all depends on his patience. judging from his circumstances, he has been holding back the bitcoin he has had since 2017, I think it's okay to wait a few more months.
Bitcoin price movements are still stagnant at the rate $8k, but the opportunity to increase up to $18k I think is still wide open at the end of this year. We must be really patient if we wait for the moment of the Bitcoin pump until it reaches $20k. I predict it will happen in 2021, after Halving Bitcoin.

i just don't understand the prediction you said, you say $18k is still wide open to be achieved by the end of this year, but you also say to reach $20k will happen in 2021. how do you predict this, $18k-$20k is the difference very little and when the price of bitcoin reaches $18k then most likely the price will continue to increase on the second chance later, because if it does not continue to rise then the price will crash worse than the bear market as it is today. anyway, to reach the next ATH it will definitely happen someday, whether it's next year or maybe longer but for this year the increase won't happen because the bear market still dominates

it seems complicated to reach $ 20k many predict the end of the year will reach that number but in my opinion not because it takes a long time to reach that number

It will be hard to tell right now as the price is declining, and it is really hurting our feelings whenever we see the price is becoming lower, on the other part, this is a good chance and opportunity to us to buy more. The price continues goes down as we can see the selling pressure increases at the moment, so it is too risky to take risk now, let's wait for a moment to be stable.

Bitcoin ain't crossing even $15k anytime soon not to think of $20k ;D. It's quite sad you bought in at such a high price. Amidst all the regulations that are popping up in the cryptosphere i doubt bitcoin would cross $20k soon. My advice would be sell 50% of your BTC and invest in another solid project and use that to recover your loss whiles still holding that 1 BTC just in case bitcoin does it magic one more time.

Forget about what's lost instead, use what you have to make more than what you expect from bitcoin price it'll be much better.

This is definitive proof that not only you need to invest in the right coin you also need to do it at the right time, those that invested very close to the top of the market have no other chance but to keep holding their coins, and I know that is not what they want to hear, they want to hear that the market is going to recover very rapidly during the next months, but guess what? That is not going to happen and it is about time they get used to that idea.

It should indeed replay the bitcoin we have to make another profit if it just keeps it without doing anything, it's not the right action, it will take a long time for Bitcoin to recover like before

You see, if you sell them, you will end up making your loss. Keep holding them if you don't want to make any loss. It is only the price that has went down, not the number of coins you have.
No one knows when the price will be back at 20,000 USD. If you want, you can sell your coins for fiat and move on your plan you are talking about.

No one can predict the Bitcoin future so I suggest that you have to move on and make peace with your losses so they won't disturb your future. You have waiting for a very long time and you have wasted many days of waiting for the bullish to come so why not you look of some opportunities because who knows that your luck is not really in Crypto investment.

Many had bought btc during that price, the point is we cannot tell when it could it back to 20k. In my view, if not this year probably by next year, the market suffers from downfall. But, let’s not end our hope in this market condition and for sure btc could surge up again. Selling at this stage is not good since you have bought it at a higher price.
When halving next year it could be the time for bitcoin to be bullish and increase. after we have a waiting period of 3 in 2020 will give an answer hopefully there will be an increase in the price of bitcoin in that year with a lot of confidence from investors to get profits.at least this year has reached the point of 11,000 $

As long as he is not selling his bitcoin then it will remain intact, there's still possibility of gaining it back once the price skyrocket again. We cant certainly tell when will bull run going to happen, and even the next year halving has no assurance if it will have an impact to crypto as a whole.

For now forget about your crypto investment until there's an improvement in the market and find another resources to earn.

Bitcoin has all that it takes to get back to its ATH price of $20K because it has the largest market dominance which means it has the largest and supportive crypto community. It is much anticipated that Bitcoin will have another ATH after the Bitcoin Halving which is set to happen in 2020.

Everyday bitcoin price went down sometimes it up. Save your bitcoin it will be up maybe till 20k$ soon but from what I see it is hard to be up this year.

Very sad moment if you buy bitcoin last three years with price above $20k because today you have seen how bitcoin price down $7,5k, better to cut lost and save your money less chance to get back your profit with buy bitcoin on the top price. You can use your money from selling bitcoin to open new real business and take away from bitcoin or altcoin investment right now.

It is difficult to cut your losses in such a volatile market, as the natural assumption is because you bought at an unlucky time, you will sell at an unlucky time as well, and lose out twice.
I think you should disregard your purchase price. That is in the past now, and it won't help to have it influencing your future decisions. The current state is you own some BTC and want to know whether to hold or sell.
I would say look at long-term market trends. Peaks and troughs all the time, and it comes down to how you think the market will move in the future. Personally I think BTC might dip a bit more but not too much more, and then we will have rises again.
This is all shorter-term though. If you are not interested in trading, then BTC remains a solid long-term hold.

Perhaps Bitcoin will grow next year when halving happens, but now the picture is completely different. Bitcoin is trading for $7,400. And it is not known whether it will still fall. The crowd believes in the rise of the price during halving, perhaps manipulators will not allow Bitcoin to grow next year, without giving the hopes of the holders to come true.

While these guys who are expecting 20k in a very near time, I would like to join my hands and request you to see and feel the difference BTC is making by going under $7500. Though it may look bearish to a lot of us and it is bearish normally which may end this surge rally to below $6500 before it hands itself up again. I wish those who are in the alts not to panic because we need BTC to stabilize at a decent value and if you sell your alts or BTC whatever you hold today 'except leverage positions', then you will regret later. It is looking high risk but I'd just stay away from the markets till I see an assured trade happening.

There are maximum chances that bitcoin will be pumped to dollar 22k by the beginning of next year. Even if it does not touch the value of dollar 22k, but still it is going to go for some price that will make people enjoy possessing bitcoin. By the end of this year, we shall buy as many bitcoin as possible to enjoy next ride to moon.

Its a good idea to being patience always as investor even do the prices of bitcoin are in dip and we dont know on when be back or reach a price of $22k suddenly in the past year BTC reach of price $17k that was a first time i saw btc going to high, But it can recover soon so we need to wait as of now on when that happen. And yes it was difficult for a investor for being patience because it need time to earn profit.
After the decline there will definitely be an increase again and reminds that bitcoin is very volatile which can change significantly.
and bitcoin investors or users must be wise and patient to wait for bitcoin to rise again and have to check what is causing bitcoin to decline, and as a good user must keep hold of your bitcoin and remain optimistic because bitcoin rise will definitely come at the right time to reach $ 20K or more.

That 2BTC that you bought last year or when BTC reached ath will remain 2BTC if you dont trade it. If you are just waiting for BTC to reach $20,000 or even more again, it might take sometime. Just look at the current price of BTC, it lost 6% of its value in just a matter of days but if you trade your BTC and just aim for 1.5% profits per day, you should have gained more than 365% after you bought your coins, by this time you could have recovered what you already lost.

There is no need to get disappointed as this is not the first time that bitcoin has been through dip. Indeed 18k dollars was the price during a pump and it is recommended to not buy rather sell at such times. However, he is lucky that he bought bitcoin as sooner or later, it will be far above 20k dollars. 2020 is expected to bring good news for investors and I firmly believe that it will cross 30k easily.

the risk of buying during a bull run is something like this. we don't know when bitcoin prices go down when prices go up instantly. looking at the conditions, it's very difficult to see the price of bitcoin go up at that price again. Well, maybe Halving will help the price of bitcoin go up, but I'm a little doubt if the price of bitcoin can pass ATH in 2020.

It is possible that Bitcoin may well return to 20k, but your main question is when? Probably soon, take a look at the current price of Bitcoin, it is in the region of $ 8000,
the last time Bitcoin made a breakthrough from $ 3000 to $ 13000 at the peak, so next time if the starting point remains at $ 8000, we can easily see the mark of $ 22000…

If bitcoin can do it once, it can do that again. If bitcoin has touched 20k dollars in the past then reaching that level again is nothing but just a matter of time. I think it is best way to separate the loyal investors and the greedy ones who just came by hearing few news and invested without really searching about it. Bitcoin will be far above 20k dollars. Also, if bitcoin will stay in pump for long, new investors wont be able to join.

I agree with that, we are here for many years already and we've seen how volatile this market is.
People are not attractive with the market when its bearish but when its bullish, they will again start to invest due to FOMO.
At this stage of crypto, it is very risky to invest but those who are really smart knows how to play the game.

Price movement or volatility concerns only the short term investors but those who are holding longer, this volatility is normal.

Basically the decision he just made is at the peak of the bitcoin market price increase in 2017, in this case, we might have a difficulty in achieving since market adoption yet, increasing, is still not enough to supply enough demand and price to bitcoin. I might suggest that instead of just keep the remaining bitcoin that he have, try to trade it. It might achieve good price in the future as well.

Dear all,

I bought 2 BTC when it were 18k USD/1BTC and lost all my other assets with BCC 400usd.
I still have been keeping them with the belief that it will recover and over 20k.
it is too long time and that makes me so tired, i need money to invest a plan, but there is no money
Do you have any idea?

thanks
I think you should participate in many bounty campaigns to make more money in the meantime. I'm still pretty optimistic about bitcoin about the upcoming Halving event in 2020.
If you are patient enough and trust enough in bitcoin then you should still wait, it is one of the best coins in the market and worth holding.
I believe it will increase to over $ 20k or even $ 30k in the next 5 years. Take this as a long-term portfolio, it will make you more comfortable. ;)

There's nothing you can do beside HODLing it for a long time. I am just wondering that why did you buy bitcoin in 18k USD that was big though. You bought 2 BTC during the market was growing so it means you got a lot of money out there mate, I don't think you need to worry. Or may be it is just a reckless buying huh? In addition, it will be a long time for BTC to grind back again at 20k or it won't again.

but my advice to you than to wait and hold is better to take advantage of the bitcoin that you have now by trading again because if we trade and learn from mistakes before, you will benefit and if you continue to wait until the price reaches $ 20k I think it wrong because we do not know when it will return to that price, but all the choices are yours
Wait for the bitcoin, it is almost around $10000 right now, it is quite good and much bigger this year. There is a possibility that it could be more higher for the next remaining months of this year I can see it. So hodl now , better to hodl it than to have a regret that you already sell your bitcoin at this rate and you will see it tomorrow having $20000 in the market.

As long as you are firm of holding it until it recovers, it doesn't matter on how long you are going to wait. I admire that you have been with us and became patient. I think most of us who are waiting for that comeback have been holding for more than a year now.

Wait until you can break even so that you can invest somewhere again with that money. But if you think that it's already too long and you are not willing to wait anymore then your call to cut losses.

No one here has any idea when will Bitcoin hit another all-time high, people are pushing and still hoping that we will have another all-time high if you badly need money, then cut your loss, don't blame yourself, this things really happen, this kind of story will make investors fully aware that we need to invest what we can afford to lose, in case you are going to lose half of it.

still be patient, because I'm sure not only you who experienced something bad like that. I always pray that the price of BTC can be like in the past 2017, because I will also be happy if all that is realized soon. persevere and keep up the spirit of friends, try to start a new job so that our minds are not focused thinking about something that has passed. don't be too sad, you have to get back up. and looking for a job that can earn money to start something new from now.
We all hope that it will be like that again, but the thing is , bitcoin price now compare the price bout years ago is too far from what it has been now, I must say that it could be happen by next year if the price of bitcoin will continue to goes up and the circulation will be good. Predicting ,$20k is having a little probability to happen this year.

Having patience is all you need when you are waiting for bitcoin to recover back it's price up to 20k USD, but waiting for bitcoin's price to increase is a very long time. So why won't you find an alternative solution or another source of income like trading and joining signature by that you can still earn profit while waiting for bitcoin's price to increase again.

Events such as yesterday's increase in the price of Bitcoin by more than 30% during the day give hope that the main cryptocurrency can still return to the mark of 20 thousand dollars. We need a powerful favorable news background and, as we see investors come to the market and prices can soar very high in a few hours.

What happened this week just confirmed that if the circumstances and market mood remains positive, then BTC can go up by up to 30% in a single day. Xi Jinping mentioned only about the Blockchain technology. He never used the word "Bitcoin" in his speech. Even then, the prices went all the way up to $10,100 from $7,400 in just a few hours. Actually it once again proves how under-priced Bitcoin is at current levels.

The exchange rates are being kept artificially low by the big whales, to their own advantage. Whenever there is some news which is even remotely discouraging for the cryptocurrency users, a lot of FUD and propaganda is being unleashed through the social media channels. And unfortunately some of the less experienced users fall in to this trap and they do panic selling.

The biggest question you have to ask is whether the price rise of 30% during a small period of time is because there are more investors coming into the market in a short period of time or is it a planned one, you cannot expect all the investors pouring in the 24 hour gap to make a billion dollars investment, so there was manipulation in the grand scale for the price to increase like that, when you want to see the market soar to the all time high valuation you need to see more investors coming in and expect that to happen in the next two years.

It is clear that the information that made the price of bitcoin yesterday is the support from China for the adoption of the blockchain or its support. for furthermore I will give a valid survey of what actually happened so that the increase is so fast and large . China and America provide enough issues that can make the price of bitcoin rise or fall fast enough.

Obviously no-one can answer the OPs question with a definite date. But also there is a big difference between BTC hitting $20k, and it hitting $20k and sustaining that price. I think we would all prefer the sustainable version, but that takes longer. It takes time to establish solid support levels, and a gradual rise is the way to hold $20k. An abrupt surge like last time just will not work, the prices will drop as we saw in 2018. So I think a slow and sustained price rise is a much bigger thing to cheer about than a sudden x% in a week type rise.

bitcoin does still have the potential to be very expensive but it all requires a process that no one knows when it can happen, but it can happen quickly when there is a lot of support to buy bitcoin and will make the price of bitcoin very expensive quickly .

Basically, in this time, bitcoin is now in a phase which is considerably soaring high because of all the support needed. In addition, Chinese adoption makes it possible since them, creating a big market fluctuation in a positive manner induces other investors to go ahead and enter the market while it is still early. Most of the times, when something triggers bitcoin to soar high, that is the point when it becomes uncontrollable.

You must have a mature plan and must be ready to accept the risk of loss. It should be before it goes down so far you have to let go and it takes time to refund the lost funds like doing a day trading.
But if you can be patient will probably return the price should be. And now this China's onslaught gives great news to the price of Bitcoin rising back.

It is fundamental rule of investors and traders to buy an asset when the prices are low. Though bitcoin holds hug potential to grow but still, it would be much better to get at lower rates. There in no point of buying it during pumps. However, it wont take bitcoin too long to touch 20k dollars again. 2020 is predicted with high values and I have no doubt in these predictions. Now is the right time to buy bitcoin.

He risk his investment and bought bitcoin at $18k, bitcoin might hold it's current price until the end of the year. Most predictions said that in 2020, the bullish market will run and this may be his chance to sell after holding a long long time.

Bitcoin will worth much more than $20k. Going back to ATH will be just the beginning of the rise, when it comes there it would be madness to sell when it can reach much higher levels. People are making wild guessing when and how will that happen, but I don`t trust in any of them. I have my plans and I stick to them whenever it comes I will be here waiting, its what I can do, to be patient and to wait, its what I suggest to others. Don`t panic, keep it cool and wait for the moment to come!

Second option is the safest one and most beneficial for new investors. We all know that lately bitcoin has started increasing in value and China has also shown positive attitude towards crypto currencies. All these situations are building up trust of investors into bitcoin and crypto market on the whole. I don’t think so bitcoin will take more than 3,4 months to reach 20k.

It was a short time and I think it's still difficult to get back to that point in 3-4 months. Indeed, when positive news comes from countries that have a strong influence on the trade industry then at least it will also have a positive impact on price growth in the cryptocurrencies market, and thus also to recover lost investment will soon happen sometime in the next year. So I think only continue the struggle that has been done so far if indeed the OP is still able to survive.

I think this will happen in 2019. And it seems to me that in May 2020 its price will be more than 50k. There are three reasons: China, Telegram, and Halving. I think that telegram will be launched in the spring of 2020, and this will give an impetus to the entire crypto industry and, in particular, bitcoin. We can make our own prediction, if you are bullish you will always believe that bitcoin will reach its ATH at the earliest possible time and any pump is considered as a good sign to start a bull run, but, we also need to maintain to be realistic as the market is very unpredictable.

Must better to sell high then buy low of price bitcoin.
A must rule to follow if you are trading, it could be short term or long term, you just need to follow this all the time.

I think we'll be back to $20k in 2020. The fallout from the last ATH of BTC and alts was long and hard... but the recovery has begun, prices are growing slowly and patiently, and have been for much of 2019. Confidence will return, and with it prices will rise. BTC still has a great future, but there are always bumps in the road. Next year I think, sufficient time will have passed for the markets to be more bullish, and to look towards new ATHs. Beyond that, more rises, more drops, but the trend generally to remain upwards. God, I sound like a weather forecaster.

dont lose hope cause btc will recover anytime soon starting next year it can go even higher than 20k. Just hodl your coins cause im sure its worth hodling them when bull run strikes back.
Although we cant tell how long we're going to wait for bull run we know once it occur it will be all worth it. So we need lots of patience in order to wait this event that we've been all longing to happen.

It might hard seeing our assets declining in value but thats how the market works and only those who can bear this situation will likely to gain for waiting without assurance at all.

Dear all,

I bought 2 BTC when it were 18k USD/1BTC and lost all my other assets with BCC 400usd.
I still have been keeping them with the belief that it will recover and over 20k.
it is too long time and that makes me so tired, i need money to invest a plan, but there is no money
Do you have any idea?

thanks
The waiting is indeed tiring, Bitcoin is now fast recovering but the $20k is still questionable, so you can get even, we can only hope, in fact we have high hope, because of China's announcement and Bitcoin's coming halving, you have already waited for over a year, why not wait for more for another 7 months, but if it is emergency you can sell it anytime, although you are 50% at lost it's better than today's price than when you trade it below $7000

Predicting the exact date or time is not really possible for sure, but like you said, we will be having a rise soon. Bitcoin is just taking rest at the moment and it will gain huge value in coming days. Just a little bit more patience and holding can improve financial health of holders. Moreover, there is no point in hurting yourself during dips. Declines provide us with the opportunity of increasing our bitcoin.

There is a good time before the price of bitcoin returns to 20,000 $. For now all you can do is be patient. You can wait tomorrow morning or next month and if you have any extra money you can buy bitcoin. Because when bitcoin starts to rise, you earn a lot of money and you can recover from your losses

Just wait till the next halving that will happen next year,  bitcoin will gonna reach 20,000$ again and.will continue to surge as the 21,000,000 is slowly being mined.

Is this you bought on 2017 bull run? I know what you feel because its sad to see bitcoin falling down you buy it at $18k and now the price at $7400 and its continue to falling down.
Personally no one can tell to you when the price go back to its all time high but if you are long term investor just keep your bitcoin and back when price reach again its ath.
the risk of buying during a bull run is something like this. we don't know when bitcoin prices go down when prices go up instantly. looking at the conditions, it's very difficult to see the price of bitcoin go up at that price again. Well, maybe Halving will help the price of bitcoin go up, but I'm a little doubt if the price of bitcoin can pass ATH in 2020.
Many of experts had predicted that bitcoin will be worth $10,000 by the end of 2017, but on 10th December 2017, it's price was $14,000. Which means bitcoin was growing faster than expectation. It was predicted that bitcoin will be worth USD $50,000-$60,000 by the May 2020, and I think that there will be some growth in the price and the difference won’t be too much though.

Also, remember that supply shock at 2020, directly impacts the value of present and future bitcoin holdings rather dramatically. After a halving event, miners are unlikely to immediately release new coins to exchanges at the same rate, which exaggerates the effect of the shock on liquidity, and I think this is why there are repeated bubbles after halving events in bitcoin.

$ 20k is really a very hard price to achieve in a short span of time. but I believe that after the halving bitcoin event in 2020, its value will increase almost to the level you expect. could be $ 17k / bitcoin. With large manipulation organizations, the price of bitcoin will easily grow, so you should keep patient and hold it.

If you have been waiting and haven’t done anything yet, you should wait a little longer. Since we see that the latest news positively affects the price of bitcoin and very soon you will be able to profitably sell and even make a profit.

That’s right, just patiently wait a little bit because bitcoin will surely reach the $20k mark but it may take a little while but if you can’t bear waiting without doing anything then might as well scalp a little and trade whenever you see that the price is favorable to you. There’s a lot of people now starting to invest in bitcoin and I think it will have a positive effect on bitcoin’s price.

To me, I believe that trading is a long term bussiness. Though there's every tendency that you can make your profit in a few hours, you can also end up waiting for a few years before being able the make your profit. In other words, I think you should have considered the 'what if the price reduces' statement before buying. My advice is that you hold it. I'm sure it'll reach 20K, but then, no one knows when.

Not for years, just for few weeks or months would be enough. Market is already on correction and in the first quarter of 2020, we will easily see bitcoin reaching 20k at least. But yeah, for couple of months you are supposed to keep your wallet close and get yourself busy in other things. I am not going to delete all wallets rather just will not log them in and one more thing will stay away from fake news.

I really appreciate and admire the OP's determination and resistance when he's still have the 2BTC to his wallet. Because in the crypto market, if you know your trapped, you shouldn't surrender as real lost comes when we accept it. There's still a huge chance of us getting our investment back and also with profit if we stay a little longer and hodl. But in my case, if ever I had lost that much investment, I will go ahead and trade my balance so while waiting, I am preparing for a big market comeback.

Anonymous prediction with bitcoin above $16k in October have failed because bitcoin price still under $10k, maybe they have make correct prediction before and not for this month, you not to worry with 2 bitcoin bought on higher price above $15k because bitcoin price will up on new years, wait for two months again and seeing with your money back with bitcoin price above $20k and you can sell it for stop your lost investment.

we are now $9300, we will not even notice that we are already in the $15,000, possible to happen because of China support to blockchain and the coming halving that's two good news to hold on to your Bitcoin.

The China's recognition for the blockchain technology will not affect the price because the Chinese government will surely make their own cryptocurrency which is centralized so it will not give any effect to the overall market of cryptocurrency. On the other hand, halving seems alright and it is better to hoard bitcoin and get as much as we can while it is below $10k mark.

Good is to learn and understand the truth about bitcoin and the possible chances of earning. When one understands better about bitcoin, surely one won't buy at such a higher price. There is no need to worry about spending 18k dollars into bitcoin because this is normal for bitcoin to touch such huge prices during pumps. Bitcoin market has already begun to show correction and there are maximum predictions about bitcoin repeating 2017 price graph in 2020. Stressing out with bitcoin is as if you are having diamond and worrying about it getting worthless. Stay calm and just give bitcoin time.

The moment will come shortly for the whole recovers but I'm not thinking that it can make this year pretty easy, just to hope that it will turn different early next year when halving started. If people couldn't understand the current situation, they will suffer losses and difficulties for sure. For the main time that Bitcoin isn't moving back high again, it could be best (maybe) if we please our self of doing other stuff and forget about the market.

Indeed there is no other way if the OP still holds it until now, because the only way is to remain patient longer. Trading these assets will also be more risky for the OP if they do not have good skills. So this is what is called about holding for the long term, it certainly doesn't hurt for this way but the concern is we have to be prepared with risks that might become panic and deep fear when the price keeps falling.

If we trusted crypto and so much with Bitcoin, it never gives as worries at all. But the fact that OP is new into crypto trading, it gives him an uncomfortable place that he never expects to happen. It believes that it was difficult but naturally it helps him to realize and gives him a lesson to learn.

I don't know if OP could try to stay calm and patient as most experienced traders find it good in times of crisis just like we have nowadays. Thinking of how Bitcoin could achieve for another $20k is a big challenge and yet, a time-consuming event which I believe that it won't make possible in just a day, week or a month.

It's take some time but since you already wait till now better to work out with how you can maximize your benefits. Try to read more news about the market it can give you good hints when to do short and when you can take some medium term tradings. Need two years later bitcoin come back to higher price and take recovery your lost, with price under $9k maybe up to higher price soon is not possible because bitcoin price right now down. Many investor not hurry for investing with bitcoin because know what happen with bitcoin price and when bitcoin up again, waiting two or three years later for comeback of bitcoin.

Better hold up to the Bitcoin price back to $20,000. It takes a little patience to wait for Bitcoin price to rise again, But I am sure you can wait to wait for it, otherwise you will lose your money if you sell it now. Once the Chinese government legalized crypto, the Bitcoin price will rise in the future.
although I don't know when bitcoin will reach $ 20K, I am sure that it will exceed that price. technically the long term bitcoin still has the potential to continue its development. but that is in line with the demand for bitcoin. many factors can make bitcoin triumph, one of which is indeed government policy

"very easy to predict but very difficult to determine the time" those are the words that are released by the CEO of binance. many people speculate after halving, the price of bitcoin will exceed that price, but that is still speculation. there is no guarantee that the price will be higher or lower. buying at $ 20k is really a very risky thing. for now, you should really hold your existing assets. I think waiting for halving is the best thing you can do right now.

You are not alone even you have many people here who also feel the same way with you, I know how you feel, if you sell Bitcoin now you only lose 60% of the capital you bought for $ 18 thousand before, of course it hurts , I think you can trade your Bitcoin with Altcoin to look for profits to cover your other needs, if I were you I would survive 2020 soon, hopefully hope will bring you back to the price of $ 20k

It's okay to wait if you are investing for long term.
20K isn't an impossible price to achieved as BTC had already achieved that in the past, particularly during the last bull run.

The market is still here, its still alive and we are seeing a great development within that does not converted to a price appreciation yet, but its understandable as the entire market struggles.

Look at the big picture here, the future is bright for bitcoin because it survive and show some recovery this year, for sure it will once again pump in the future.

Indeed. All you need is to have patience with your holdings because if you don't wait for a long time for them to get back to their prices, you will not meet the success that you wanted and you will get big losses. Also, you are not the only one who needs to wait to regained back their losses with their holdings because most of us experienced since bitcoin drops it's price badly in the year of 2018, that is why be strong and have patience with your holdings.

Patience is really what we should do in order to succeed in life not only in crypto but in the reality. We are all wishing for Bitcoin to be in 20k again, but let us ask ourselves first, what did we do for Bitcoin to make this price in reality again? Did we ever encourage a friend, or even introduce Bitcoin? Did we share it in our relatives or even in our facebook that they should try searching about Bitcoin? Patience is what we needed, yes it is, but we need to work it out too.

Without patience impossible you can get much profit with bitcoin and altcoin investing, many people never limited their patience for investing with bitcoin. After can control your patience when have to sell and buy bitcoin maybe you can get profit with bitcoin investing at the future, always safety when get profit and never have not enough with your profit.

Dear all,

I bought 2 BTC when it were 18k USD/1BTC and lost all my other assets with BCC 400usd.
I still have been keeping them with the belief that it will recover and over 20k.
it is too long time and that makes me so tired, i need money to invest a plan, but there is no money
Do you have any idea?

thanks
I think you should persevere more. because the halving event will take place in 2020 and it's the best time for you to sell bitcoin at a higher price now.
If you sell bitcoin now, you have accepted a loss of more than 50% and that is a very bad number. Or to remove the antlers, you should buy more bitcoin now and hold until the halving event takes place, you will probably be profitable when the price goes up. I predict it will soon rise back to $ 16k.

The right method to make money from bitcoin is waiting. The longer someone holds his bitcoin, the bigger will be amounts earned in the end. 20K was just the beginning of what bitcoin is capable of. This asset is the most potential one and can easily touch 50k dollars within next few years. A little patience should not be troubling when the fruits are sweeter than imaginations. Future belongs to bitcoin.

This years maybe no possible bitcoin can reached to $20k because today still with lower price, although pass October bitcoin price still down and have waiting two years later to see bitcoin reached above $20k. I hope can give positive price for bitcoin later to make effect for altcoin price on higher, without raise of bitcoin price not available for altcoin on higher price.

In this situation you have to be more patient to wait for the highest price of Bitcoin, to cover half of your losses, even you also have to benefit, not only have to return capital. I think you have to wait with rumors halving Bitcoin, maybe after that happens we can see the price of Bitcoin rising in the next year after halving. Don't let impatience beat your logic

The halving for bitcoin next year is not a rumor, it is a true even that will happen in 2020. The halving does happen every 4 years for bitcoin. Even though there will be a halving next year, it is not an assurance that the price will go up very high and you will make a lot of profit. The price of bitcoin is driven by the law of demand and supply and not the event.

Even at the present moment, bitcoin is available at low price as compared to its actual worth. This is due to its volatile nature and generosity for new investors. If ever, there were no dips, buying bitcoin at low rates would have become impossible. Even at its lowest, bitcoin is the most precious asset on the face of Earth. Bitcoin is being used by certain people and this is going to sty wth us forever now.

You might have to wait a little longer, no one really knows when it will return, even though you often hear the news that BTC will soon be 20k there is no guarantee that it will happen.
if you really expect it, you should wait for the price to return.
because you've lost 50% of the value of your assets now.

Just as soon as hell freezes over.

In other words, most likely never.

Sorry for the bad news.

I think you are too pessimistic, read a lot of analytics and news on neironix, and came to the conclusion that bitcoin will cost more than 20,000 in the next 1-2 years. Too many countries and companies are investing in infrastructure related to cryptocurrencies and blockchain technologies, developing financial instruments in the classic market (the oppositon for bitcoin will be launched soon), all this clearly indicates that bitcoin is not going to leave our lives.

That's just a small loss compared to what people loss investing in altcoins, but actually it will not be considered as a long if he will hold until the next bull run will arrive. In terms of chances, BTC has a better chance to recover and that $18,000 is not impossible to achieve with the way the market is moving now, I can sense there will be a big bull run coming soon.

With the current price of bitcoin right now, it is easy for bitcoin to climb up and surpass the recent all time high. With the halving event next year, it is a huge green indicator for investors to buy because the difficulty to get bitcoin for miners will be higher so it will be more in favor for investors since based on law of demand and supply, the price will go up.

There's no negative sign that the price of Bitcoin will be lower to $7k, it's still positive that Bitcoin will go up this upcoming month. We are not just that sure if we will go for $20k price of even higher than $10k, let's see the buying pressure before end of the year as we know that this is a peak season and most of the time , the price is climbing in the season.

IMO the bear might come a bit late this year, hope to see some growths before 2019 passes by, but I don't think that the price will hoist higher than $12k - $14k this year. $20k is a different thing actually, like it was said before, upcoming halving will be the major key in the price increases in 2020, impact of such event is really powerful and there is nothing weird in it. People are going crazy around the prices of BTC this year, but the fact is, that even if the current price won't grow much till the end of december, it's still better than it was last year and also - mind the massive hacks we've witnessed this year.

Actually a recovery is already good and at the current price now, I can say that BTC has already recovered, but let's hope it we will not longer see a dump this year as it's bad if we end this year with a dump.

We are all talking about the ATH, just wait and relax because it will surely come, it could be next year or the next next year, because bitcoin is here to stay to amaze us investors again.

Christmas can be expected to bring some good profits certainly. Usually, it is the last month of the year where bitcoin produces some good amount of money. Even 12k to 14k is not a bad price. However I expect it to be at least 15k dollars. Bitcoin can really make that. Moreover, the halving is about to come. So with a little more patience, bitcoin holders can experience the best ride of their lives.

I think the only option is to forget about it for now and just wait for sometime. I'm sure bitcoin will recover in the near future. Or you can use some of it in trading other coins/project that you believe in. Cheers.

ouch a sad story, buy 2 btc at 18k, now at 8.5k you've lose half of your total capital.
That's just a small loss compared to what people loss investing in altcoins, but actually it will not be considered as a long if he will hold until the next bull run will arrive. Keep dreaming with bitcoin can climb up to higher price with bitcoin today under $8K, many investor panic for selling their bitcoin asset and give effect for bitcoin have lower price, I don't think give best ideas to get much profit with bitcoin still down. Maybe when bitcoin down give dominance for altcoin become higher price but real on market many altcoin allowed with bitcoin price become down.

it will happen soon when we have good news for cryptocurrency ,but if we have no it i am sure we will in bearish condition for longer time. There is no sign that bitcoin or cryptocurrency will recovery in near time and even now we see bitcoin price still goes down again..maybe the best thing we could do now, work in other place till market sentiment better and crypto price increase again .

What that means it will happen soon? Soon like next month, or in next couple months, or next year? People are just talking about indefinite dates, but nobody really knows when that price growth will come. Now some of us relay on price movement in the past, some people use different types of analyses, and each of us is free to believe in anything.
Crypto market is growing for years, sometimes that grow is fast, sometimes its slow, but I think that growth is visible to experienced eye. In one moment that growth will affect the prices. In my personal opinion that will not happen before 2021, maybe that year or after that, but until then we will be lucky to hold this price and eventually touch 5 digit price again.

Yes, it’s just that you entered Bitcoin at the wrong time and you had to follow the cryptocurrency market. Bitcoin has the tendency to rise and fall in price, this is his favorite difference. You need to wait for Halving and store as many bitcoins as possible.

The upcoming halving won't guarantee at all that the Bitcoin will increase the price or will have a new set of all time high, it's really depends on the market how people will still trust crypto and how new investors/users will love Bitcoin and we all have the part for the success of crypto if we will just be positive in it and will do our part too.

It is not good if you lose your 50 percent so better keep holding than making yourself lose your money. I think we should prefer investing at dip than being worry and sell. The more you hold the more our investment will be good. We should wait I am sure all investors will get chance to recover the entire market price fall, to see $20k we have to keep patience

In investing in cryptocurrency make sure we are aware of the price rate of the coin, in cryptocurrency, we must know what the best coin that suits to our desired investment like for short term investment for altcoin is good for this. Still, if we want to invest in bitcoin it takes a long time before we got our earning, it is good if you are already spending a lot of money then the price of the bitcoin is low because it gives you a lot of profit when the price grows up. Investing in cryptocurrency, you must be aware of a price in the market because you must be updated when it is the right time to pull it out all of your money and try for another investment. One of the significant problems of the people who see the price goes down is pulling out their money. This kind of panic can make a loss of income because the price is getting low, your investment may be affected, and then with the transaction fee and another deduction. Don't mind about the price if it falls better to hold your coin and wait for an excellent price to pull out with a profit.

The main thing is that people get panic quickly on the fall and sell it and in the end may lose quit a few as in coming time btc will always rise back . So people should ideally be buying on the fall and sell on the rise and most of them does the opposite of it.

All bitcoin holders are impatiently waiting for halving and they do wish it to occur as soon as possible. I am of view that halving will make people invest speedily into bitcoin which is simply going to result in the increase of its price ultimately pushing market to pump phase. If we all want that to happen, as you said we are supposed to keep playing our parts by supporting bitcoin either by holding onto it or buying.

Growth back to the highest price point in the history of Bitcoin can happen before halving. In principle, this event can increase the value of Bitcoin by 3 times. Then we will again see the price of 20 thousand dollars. Lively conversations about cryptocurrencies. New injections of money into the cryptocurrency ecosystem.

We can't be sure if bitcoin will have a price like that again just because of the halving. Litecoin is the most popular cryptocurrency that everyone is looking into for the after effect of halving and we can see that it dumps a lot since then. If the profitability of mining in bitcoin will still be good then I think that there is nothing to worry about the price since the market of bitcoin will be sustained.

Dear all,

I bought 2 BTC when it were 18k USD/1BTC and lost all my other assets with BCC 400usd.
I still have been keeping them with the belief that it will recover and over 20k.
it is too long time and that makes me so tired, i need money to invest a plan, but there is no money
Do you have any idea?

thanks
It is really too long if you invested and bought when bitcoin bullrun gone. It is more than 50% loss for every bitcoin you bought. But if you bought during the lows, probably you can easily get your profits because bitcoin goes up slowly time by time.
We can't really predict bitcoin price because it is volatile. And even if we predict the price, we cannot rely it because there always be a news that triggers the price.

Halving is an event that stimulates people's needs and psychology, which may be an opportunity but it can still be a trap in the trap because as you said litecoin had a similar event, people expected a glare from it but in the end, the value didn't increase and there was almost no expression right now on the market. Therefore, the halving of bitcoin may be the same, this event is a variable, it can not be sure to help bitcoin go up to $20k, the value of bitcoin can only go up when the demand is greater than the supply and a little impact from the people hiding behind this game.

Everybody knows that no one can predict on what date or year that bitcoin will hit again the 20,000$. But, most of the members here always say that bitcoin will rise again after the halving and it is also my thought. Moreover, to the OP maybe just wait more time and do not be greedy to earn income because in this field of investment it always required time to earn money. I hope you will regain all your losses and be positive about the price of bitcoin because in the future it will recover its price.

It's hard to tell if and when Bitcoin will reach 20000$ again. To my opinion that is not the point. It's better to focus on current situation in the market and how to get the most profit out of current Bitcoin price movements or those in near future. Dreaming of huge price that will make you reach over night will not take you anywhere.

If you still have the same amount of bitcoin till this far then adding another year to keep it hold is much better option to do. Bull run will happen
it's up to all holders to keep waiting and trust the market to find more investors to bring new money and start the run.
Don't do any trade without doing proper research to make sure that each decision will help you to increase your assets.

If youre a hodler and a true believer then you would really tend to hold no matter what would be the market situation. It might take a year or a couple
it doesnt matter as long you do saw that theres a potential. It will depend on a certain person though. Its better to hold rather than risking on having active
trades that might really decrease your holding instead.

But not all of times holding can make our capital to grow. There are many stories who got a red portfolio after they hold bitcoins. Holding is for passive trader only, I do not prefer holding after all because the gain for me is small. That strategy doesn't suit to me because I experienced to lose money by holding in a long time. I prefer to trade my bitcoins than to hold it even the risk is much higher.

Well, with the volatility of bitcoin, as well as other crypto currencies, we don't know what might happen in the future. All we know is we need to be patient since the price chart will be the only one who can dictate what might happen, and obviously we as an investor is also needed to that because without it, it will crash down.

strongly agree with what our colleagues say that investors are very necessary, maybe also traders so that bitcoin starts to get excited again. It has been more than 2 years since the heyday of Bitcoin, but there has not been a very significant movement from Bitcoin to the direction of $ 20K. and now it stands between $ 7K- $ 11K only. hopefully in the new year many changes will begin

I'm not hoping for it to hit 20k next year though. If it comes, it comes. The possibilities are broad at this point. I'm just not expecting the same run we had last 2017. 20k may not even be the all time high and the price go well beyond that but to expect would be to court disappointment. As long as I'm holding my bag of bitcoins, I don't really care of it goes to 20k or not next year. I'm sure I'm going to be in profit the time I decide to exit the market.

It was nice that you already bought a large amount of bitcoin. Still, thats not quite right that you already lose a lot of money by holding for a year, today the price of the bitcoin falls and this is not profitable by now, I think one of the best choice today holds your coins instead losing all of your profit again. The price of the bitcoin is very volatile. We cannot tell when and which time that the price goes up again. It's all up in the market. Still, if you want to earn daily income better to trade your half of your bitcoin into an altcoin, so even you are waiting to the price of the bitcoin still you are receiving with the use of altcoins.

You really cannot compare Litecoin and Bitcoin, when the halving happened in Litecoin the entire market was in bear trend and you really cannot expect the market moving up during that period of time and that will not be the case when it is time for bitcoin halving, the situation is different and most importantly you are comparing Litecoin to the main coin in the market. The market will rise from the current average valuation we are seeing in the past one year after halving and that is certain.

I don't think you need to have to wait much long because I think right after the upcoming halving, within a year that follows, Bitcoin might break the $20000 record and even reach $100000 mark and hence, I recommend not to sell it at a loss.

I have friends who buy bitcoin from $ 20k. Not exactly $ 20,000, but they bought at the peak price. Very bad experience to meet Bitcoin. I looked at your most recent balances and it says $ 800. Something terrible! They made a total investment of $ 12,000 and they had $ 800 left. Do not invest unconsciously.

Not sure about the 100k prediction but 20 thousand must fall pretty soon if we want to continue the decade bullishness that is happening since the creation of bitcoin. Seeing how the gains of bitcoin every bubble diminishes I believe this time it would be reasonable to reach from 50k to 100k max. You must not forget that the more money is put into bitcoin the harder it is to do the gains in multiples.

just point at the charts and show them that if they held historically for over 3 years they would end up in profit. Just try to convince them to hold for around a year longer and they should end up in profit if the cycles continue

It's painful if we buy at the peak price, because the estimated amount of our losses will be very large if it intends we sell it. But I'm impressed
with you, because you can still be patient until now not doing cutloss and choosing holding bitcoin until the price returned to $ 20k. Because
not all have patience like you. My advice you must remain optimistic and patient, do not give up waiting for the price of bitcoin to rise and return
to the price of $ 20k. Because I am sure sooner or later bitcoin can return again to the price of $ 20k. No one really knows exactly when. But
many experts predict that the price of bitcoin can return at $ 20k, possibly after the halving event that will occur in a few months.

You do realize that altcoins are legit completely dead now right? Bitcoin literally pumped from 3 thousand to 14 thousand and alts were like "nah fam, we're good". The thing is if you try and trade in order to make more bitcoin, you will lose everything, this is because the markets are controlled by the whales who aim to take money from small fishes like you. The only way to easily make money with bitcoin is wait for long enough for it to come up higher than you have bought and that's it.

psychological well is needed to be able to survive until now, moreover we see the total loss if we do cutloss. therefore maintaining psychological stability in order to gain profit is urgently needed. no one knows for sure when bitcoin can achieve it again, but I still believe that the market always repeats its path

Holding is really the best option we have now, as bitcoin price is just moving in a small circle, where could be the next opening? we still do not know. I am very positive on the halving that will occur in 2020 since the previous halvings did really well to the bitcoin price pumping its value for quite some time. Aside from bitcoin, we can still make efforts in analyzing the alternative coins market but I guess the possible profit is not that high.

Dear all,

I bought 2 BTC when it were 18k USD/1BTC and lost all my other assets with BCC 400usd.
I still have been keeping them with the belief that it will recover and over 20k.
it is too long time and that makes me so tired, i need money to invest a plan, but there is no money
Do you have any idea?

thanks

You should be patient at this moment or you can significantly loose your initial. At this current situation, you better hold your BTC, it is not a wise decision when you sell it under 15k once you already bought it at ATH, you can cut-loss when it will be between 15k -> 17k though I do believe you still hold if it reached that target.

We already know that in the past few weeks the market has continued to fall, so it is more difficult for us to hold it in the long run or until halving occurs. I want to know the market reaction at that time, will it be like pumping again?
Because in my analysis it still hasn't determined in a good direction, and it only price $ 7300 to even reach 7500 is also difficult.

This is not yet the right time to meet the $20k again or to have new set of All time high, there's a lot of what happened in the Crypto world, a lot of scammers, failed projects, failed ICO/IEO, no ROI from the investors, so it's been uneasy for all of us this year, those who gained more are usually the scammers.

Bitcoin can go back for $ 20,000. There's no reason for that. But there is something strange. There's no reason for him to be $ 20,000 again. They manipulate people's psychology. Bitcoin price is always open to surprises.

I just recommend you to hold your coins since the price currently is about 7k USD, it must be painful seeing the price drop. I personally holding bitcoin as a long term investment even though that I'm gaining profit right now but I don't wanna sell them because I believe the price can hit the highest price at least in 5 years.

This is the reason why I don't want to check my portfolio in USD I just see them in bitcoin, like how many bitcoins that I have right now it makes me stay hungry and collecting bitcoin as much as I can. It must be stressful checking the balance in USD price when the price goes down.

You really tried for that long your patience had really been tested and sorry for the ordeal of not having extra funds to invest I am sure majority of investors who bought Bitcoin at ATM at the same period with you must have sold at a loss, you just have to hodl at least till after halving of Bitcoin in 2020 thus you have to persevere and keep faith that the market would be bullish next year.

There are many speculations that bitcoin has crossed its hard times almost and 2020 will be similar to 2017 in terms of prices of bitcoin. Bitcoin is going to increase tremendously in value soon after halving if we all decide to keep holding onto it tightly. We all know that bitcoin is having hard times right now but the positive mindset that you mentioned is exhibited by everyone, the mighty coin will soon recover.

Interestingly, Singh did not expect the Bitcoin halving event to occur in May 2020. Instead, he came up with "unpredictable" things in the cryptocurrency space that would be the catalyst. Bitcoin has reached $ 20,000 - the all-time high of Bitcoin and about 150% higher than the current price of $ 8,000, by the end of this year.

Many analysts and data sources have pointed out that Bitcoin prices are still somewhat predictable, at least from a long-term perspective. According to a data source - quite accurate so far, showing that Bitcoin will be completed in 2020 with a profit of at least 100%, meaning that the year-end price of BTC will be over $ 14,000.

For the upcoming event, 12.5 BTC issued per block will be cut in half to 6.25 BTC. Accordingly, Bitcoin's inflation rate will be 1.8%, or lower than the Federal Reserve's target of 2%.

In this situation, you need to be more patient to wait for Bitcoin's highest price, to cover half of your losses, even benefiting from it, not just returning capital. I guess you've got to wait with Bitcoin halving, maybe after that we'll see Bitcoin's price increase after halving in the next year. Don't smash your logic with impatience. Everybody deep in their heart knows that sooner or later, bitcoin will flow.

This year maybe no possible bitcoin could reach $20k because today it still has a lower price, although passing October bitcoin price still down and waiting two years later to see bitcoin reached over $20k. I hope I can later give a positive price for bitcoin to have an impact on higher altcoin prices, without raising the price of bitcoin not available for altcoin at higher prices

Most people would say it's bad to buy at peak, but we never know when that would ever happen because we can't really define a peak in this volatile market. It's disappointing that this price matches your investment period, but I guess all you can do now is wait. When you trust your skills in trading, you can do that as well. Given your losses, you will be able to get a profit gradually if you know how to move your money, which can even get your loss back. But for now, the best thing is to be patient, good things happen to those who are waiting

We don't need to really know the exact amount of peak, that's basically only based on our own estimate.
IMO, when you see the price pumping and it has reach a good price already, that's already a peak for me, if we buy cheap we can sell at that moment.

buying when the price is pumping is bad, unless you are up to short term trading but if you like a decent return and to ensure you'll profit, buy at dip.
