Seems like they are being too serious with their Dex.Good to see that this isnt the same on past project that had been advertised.

Little bit off ones where he do really likes to have sideline which can give out some pay for publicity: https://twitter.com/officialmcafee/status/1184022297453182977

You should move this topic to the Altcoin section. His dex is not related to BTC development.

One thing is to make from a project an opensource project and another is to get free coders for the project. He should pay to those developers if he isn't happy now with his frontend or backend. C'mon, is McAfee he could use the money he spent in one week in drugs and prostitutes to pay for a god quality developer.

I
He should pay to those developers if he isn't happy now with his frontend or backend.

He's involved with a lot of shady ICOs in the past. I doubt his greed will allow them to spend money to develop his project.

Not to mention that lots of people will probably not use his dex because Binance Dex or Idex is strong enough already. He realizes he'll throw away his money, so he sticks to the 'open source but with my name' route.

Their DEX is already online though at https://mcafeedex.com/ (https://mcafeedex.com/), which based on SwitchDex (never heard about this DEX previously).

Another DEX who failed to get decent volume.

They all fail, technology needs to be better.

Although the guy receives a lot of harsh  criticism from his past action, and his prediction for the Bitcoin price is out of range, we should still commend the guy for bringing something to the community we still need DEX's here because not all traders are comfortable trading on centralized exchange, let's give the guy a benefit of the doubt, he is trying to prove something.
Maybe this Dex is one of the many projects that he will bring forth, he is over shilling ICO and coins that have given him bad reputation.

I haven't follow McAfee but are you saying that he no longer accepts payment to shill for some ICO or tokens? How come? I guess if this so called group of developers will come up with a DEX that is revolutionary then perhaps John can bounce back and get his "reputation" back. But until then, people are going to remember him for making outlandish claims and predictions and a paid shiller.

He moved on to accept payments to shill products and put his name on them. LOL

He started with that shit hardware wallet which got hacked in 3 days, then the trading platform which charged a $50 (IIRC) to do nothing and now he created this DEX where he controls the private-keys.

None of these projects are made by him. All of them pay him to be the "face" of the marketing. I wouldn't touch anything "McAfee approved" with a ten foot pole.

there are a ton of things wrong with this!
starting with the shadiness and bad reputation of the owner of this DEX, McAfee himself that is not to be trusted. it is also recreation of (and mostly copy) of the existing DEX on ethereum blockchain that is doing the exact same thing so there is no point in it even existing in first place!
they are also creating two new tokens to dump on people's head and make money from that!

i also find paying trading fees to the "decentralized" exchange owner a very absurd thing. being "decentralized" should always mean there is absolutely no middle man. paying 0.2% fee on each trade or a $100 total fee in first go doesn't make any sense to me.

He is so serious, I think we should commend him for doing this, I'm glad he did not launch an ICO because he is very fond of ICO back then, let's admit DEX is not a good option for traders, they still prefer CEX, if Mcafee can do something unique on his own Decentralized Exchange, people will become interested in DEX again, let's see I have bookmarked his exchange and will wait for more update.

One thing is certain and that is that John McAfee just loves money and attention. So, having people paying a 0.2% fee on all their trades would certainly give him money for nothing on a decentralized exchange.  ::)

McAfee has shown in the past that he would shill for "shitcoins" if someone paid him enough money, so would you trust someone that would sell his soul for money and cut off his penis to win or lose a bet, with your money?  :o

Good luck, I hope you have lots more money to throw in the water.  ::)

With his reputation as regards ICO that scam a lot of people from his recommendation. I doubt if people will rely on their DEX. Where is coin of the week and ICO of the week?
