No matter which coin or token you hold if they have real use cases and working product you will be fine, bitcoin is a must and the safest one and the other one i like is ETN, the teams are really trying hard to bring the project to success, another one on my list is Apollo currency, i belief that teams have the biggest role to make a project successful

That ETN is Electroneum right? if you are not in a bad position, you need to drop it away from your portfolio. The price keeps falling because of mobile mining, investing and holding on this project will result in further losses. about REBL, is this project still alive? I have not heard anything about them for a while.
those two projects do not suit my taste, it is better holding Bitcoin other than those two.

pretty good coins that you choose but I personally see the potential of ranking 1-8 in your portfolio, especially at UTK because the development is still ongoing at this time and you are still holding on to whereas a few months ago the price of the pump was you serious about missing it or do you have other targets for pricing? I want to hear your answer about investing in for a fairly long time

Coins like REBL, NEO,LINK and WAVES are still good altcoin but i prefer what is threading presently, i am surprised that BNB token is not on your list, its a very good token with better future, the presence of its use case is high due to IEO projects using the platform

The coins are pretty good for long term hold and you make the right choice by including bitcoin on the list, many failed to do that and belief me, having bitcoin on your list will ease your mind if anything go wrong with altcoins

Your portfolio looks good with those coins, they are all wonderful projects with good team backing them  but for me presently, I'm all in on bitcoin.

On your selections I only appreciate the two coins like bitcoin which is the top of all, followed by ethereum. You had a good line up as per review on your lists, although I did not have much information on your other holdings, most certainly if you continue holding long term  without caring for how long you'll be able to establish a profitable value.

You have a lot of altcoins, it is good if you can monitor and manage your portfolio very well. I only have few altcoins when I'm trading for me to manage it because I'm having a hard time if I have a lot of coins in my portfolio.

You have too many coins in your portfolio yet I only see one that's sure has performed in this past years. That's Bitcoin, I am not an expert but I found out that investing only Bitcoin is better than having all that's on your list.

I would add BNB and ETH as your reference, because i'm a fanboy of this both coins.
BNB has a very fast growth on this current market condition, just imagine when the market bull run's coming..
And also ETH, everybody ever use it wether for payment or for investment and it's still growing

I still hold UTK from ICO and bounty campaign, i made the decision to keep holding UTK because i believe this project has high potential to be more developed and can be mass adopted
The UTK teams always provides interesting information updates and works hard for the progress of project

There’s nothing bad with your portfolio I assume that you did your research before holding those. It is important that we know what were investing and aware of the developments of these companies, making sure that the team are working to deliver their promised outputs.

How are other coins doing compared to Bitcoin? Not encouraging, right? So, why not focus more on the cryptocurrency that you feel safe in? You could Invest only small part of your crypto fund in other coins, especially those that are well decentralized and with potential to grow in the future. Or you could day trade those altcoins while holding (and day trading) Bitcoin & maybe few top altcoins.

I saw some of the projects that you chose in the coin list, but if I suggest you can change etn to NRG, because I think etn is good but they have to work very hard, of course it takes a lot of time, NRG is a very successful coin in 2017.

You have been holding it since 2017 which means almost all of your portfolio is underwater right now, then do not get rid of it just keep holding it.
if you want to add something in the future, just add your Bitcoin holding. We do not know for how long this bear market will last, accumulating more altcoin might bring your fortune in the future but choosing this path is the same as gambling. I'd rather choose Bitcoin than doing this, it is very risky.

There are a few coins on your list that I do not recognize, but knowns are normal. Just, Wave's latest situation is not attractive, in the last fall price rose to $4.50, but subsequently went down. I am not hopeful about Wave future. There are dozens of coins that can take its place.

My only suggestion is to search for projects with real products. Because they are often among those who fight for survival.

I only buying a altcoin where I have a bias which means I have a trading strategies that I can use. Your selection of altcoins is not bad but you have also strategy in order to increase your profit.

1) BTC
Bitcoin is one of the best coins to hold, for now, especially there will be a halving in May 2020.

Quote
2) NEO
Neo is always on my list due to the free GAS we are getting on it and in addition they are a good project!

Quote
3) WAVES
One of the sleeping giants in the community of cryptocurrency!

UTK - UTRUST
This is one of the best tokens and i do trust the development of this team! they have a good working project.
I still holding this one though i sold everything before @ 0.2 USD but i came back and bought a lot at its lowest!

The 8-11 coins, I don't know more about them so if you will ask me if you should remove them, well I say yes. And in what coin you should invest the money that you'll get from those?

Add more with bitcoin.

Why you don't have Ethereum?

Im not familiar with some coins you chose but majority of them are good coins especially bitcoin.

If I were you I will also add ETH and LTC in my portfolio because its best to include well established coins.

Well I dont hold many coins I just stick to coins that has real use cases so I wont be worried they will lose their value.

Same question with ETH, not sure why OP didn't bothered to buy this coin since from the list on the top projects around the market ETH is following BTC.

For whatever reason, maybe if OP still have spare money he can add ETH as part of his portfolio, since the value of this coin is down more than from it's last time high, when bounce happened to this market ETH will bring great benefits to its holders.

Can't help but keep wondering why you have no ETH on your list, you have something against the currency or what? Amazon start accepting bitcoin, litecoin and Eth and UNICEF start accepting bitcoin and ETH too, i think you should readjust your portfolio so that you won't miss out alot

We almost have the same portfolio but the difference is have Eth. Those coins in your portfolio are active and has a potential but you could also include some top altcoins like Bch and Xrp. However, it's still for you to decide. Just make sure that you're holding reputable and trusted coins. It's a good thing that you have Btc in your portfolio. Keep holding because good things are about to happen in Btc.

Maybe OP has his own reason, something like he disregard ETH because he sees disadvantages of ethereum, like for having too many platforms or such as that.
But maybe OP may consider if he realizes that ethereum is a good altcoin to invest, he has a great portfolio maybe he might think of it.

Apologies if im not replying to individual posts but appreciate everyone.

The reason i have no ETH is because i can probably afford only 1 or 2 and the potential profit won't be much compared to 100-1000s of other coins i have (if they do well in the future).

@rafter_01 I would advise you to hold onto your bitcoins, and sell all the other alts and replace them by Ethereum, XRP or Litecoins. These coins will give you more returns in the long run, or you could simply invest all your money in bitcoins for higher returns though it’s a risky move but if you hold them for the long term it should pay off.

stupid Q, what's the minimum of ETH to hold that not's embarrassing (lol)?

I can only afford a couple and i just can't see that giving me the returns like the cheaper coins with potential.

What makes something expensive or valuable is the cost of the coin and the demand. Right now ETN demand is low while the daily generated coins are high, you say you earn around 1000 ETN monthly and do you know how many people are mining it?
the easier we mine it the less valuable it becomes, that is the logic of precious metal and cryptocurrency. If the team only allows the mining hardware to mine it, the value of ETN should be 2 times or even 5 times from now.
ETN is not suitable for holding because it is not valuable, unlike Bitcoin as an example.

Looking at the coins I think they worth investing into. It's just that it might take you some period of time to sell and make your gain. You've got to be courageous. But one thing I've come to realise about holding coins is that with time they depreciate even on exchange. But that doesn't mean you won't have your profits neither. VERI was at 0.045eth about 6 months ago. But now at 0.1eth. Its good to hold but you might need to be courageous not to dump when all hope is gone. Appreciate you for doing this. And it really worth it.

#4 through #11 I've never even heard of.  1-3 look pretty solid, though I'm not sure about waves as a long term hold.  Op if you're looking for some advice, you might try some proof of stake coins sort of like Neo.  At least while you're holding them you can earn some income instead of just hoping for capital gains.

This is a good list of coins, buddy. However, I do not understand why you did not add ETH and BNB? Although the most important thing is your ability to manage these coins. I recommend adding ETH and BNB to your portfolio.
I agree that Eth ought to be on the list.  Not sure about BNB, but it does seem to be very popular and you'd probably make money by holding it.  That's if Binance retains it's title as the best exchange out there.  If they go under or get hacked and can't recover their reputation, it's all over for BNB.

ETN, NEO, WAVES, REBL don't seem to be good choices anymore. These coins are

I think that you must re-adjust your portfolios and then you should try to think about to replace your coins which are not showing good progress right now with new coins that has already created working product that can produce the revenue to the company. I can say some of coins in your profit are non profit company.

It's better for you try to sell your coin that is not having a good traction in the market and then replace it with a new one that already had thousand of users.

I believe you did carry out research or you have a reason why you are holding those coins, first I would say you need just a few good coins to hold so you can follow updates properly, so you know when to sell or even when to buy more ,I think those are too much. Also in your portfolio there should be Bitcoin and Ethereum, I think you should also look at holding hydro, the team is really working.

eth and ltc are indeed one of the coins that have a better volume in the market than the coins you say. maybe by replacing some of your investments it will be better, and think again if you have not benefited you should just hold it, but it is only you who can make choices

Your coin selection is not bad at all. Most of the coins you picked has all the potential to be a top altcoin someday and it would totally help you benefit soon as things go well according to your plan. It is just proper that btc is at the top of your list because amidst having crisis, we can all see that its value is still at the highest compared to all the other existing crypto. Eth I think should also be in your list because it is next to bitcoin on being the most successful bitcoin so I think you should take your time and think about including Ethereum on the list.

Congrats on being an early adopter, although i hope you didn't buy in during the 2017 peak at $20k usd! In my opinion, thats a lot of coins and too much diversification into . altcoins. Adding to the difficulty of keeping track of all those coins, theres also the fact that most altcoins turn out to be scams.

If i were you i'd sell my alts and focus more on blue chip coins like BTC or ETH.

you have a good portfolio. You need to decide what is your strategy. if the strategy is long-term then leave it as it is. if the strategy is medium term, you will need to constantly rebalance the portfolio

From these coins, i would go for btc, vet and maybe kcs if it's cheap enough right now, i haven't checked for a while. I would get rid of utk and wouldn't touch that with a stick.
They had their shot, but the need of that project has passed and i can't see any future for them what so ever. And looking at their roadmap, they don't either.
I would add eth on the list and maybe ltc. And honestly would get rid of everything else on your list but that's just me and my take on it.

Also, take any obscure coin suggestions that will come in this thread with a grain of salt because everyone in here would like to get a buyer for their bags ;)

Great stuff,  you have invested in those coins which has potentials but I am bit surprise for the fact that Ethereum and BNB are missing in this list as ETH will never die just like bitcoin and we all know BNB is the best exchange token which will be useful as an investment and to buy new valuable tokens from binance launchpad.  Anyways have invested in the right coins but keep yourself upto date about all these altcoins.

Yes, op is missing some altcoin that is quite potential, such as ETH, XLM, XRP, and which is quite popular right now, BNB.  But if it has become an op decision then it is OK, as long as the op takes the decision with consideration of careful analysis.  the key for this investment is the right timing to determine buy, sell and hold positions.

All of your holding coins are pretty good and have some potential to give you profits. But I think REBL, UTK, XBY are not enough good for long term holding where you have missed the Ethereum. Personally, I think you may add ETH, BNB, ATOM, QNT coins on your portfolio.

The only sensible investment among them is BTC. I think NEO is a dead project. In addition, BNB and EOS stand as much more profitable altcoins.

The link isn't bad either, so you can keep investing in that coin. But I recommend you to review all except BTC and LINK.

Though I still left some ETN after ATH since the team are still active finding ways to develop the app and I'm still using their app sometimes, though the prices really fell down this year hoping it can recover like other alts are. Anyway, having XRP and ETH in portfolio is a good holdings depending on your timeline of how much time you plan to holds it and also better if you use for trading.

What you have invested in those coins are almost what I holding from long term but in that coins list some coins are deplly downs more than 60% like ETN and some more but those coins will be give good results from holding on long term. But now crypto market condition is really bad and my suggestion to you that please hold those coins as I mentioned below.
1) btc
2) neo
3) waves
4) etn

btc, neo, waves, and kcs is good.
but aren't you worried about the portfolio? isn't that too much altcoin, are you sure you can pay attention to any news from the coins that you hold?

I suggest, why don't you streamline your portfolio a little, by selling a few coins that have already made a profit. too much holding a coin will only make you dizzy thinking about it every day.

I use to put a lot for NEO but the Chinese seem not using it often this time. The number 1 in the Chinese market right now is EOS, not sure how that change their minds but its just what happen base on the ranks. NEO still provides GAS though. If you like the EOS projects today that also gives dividends, you most likely wanna hold NEO as well. The GAS price also tan  during the 2017 bullrun.

Better if you lease waves and they also now allow WAVES to be stake in tidex platform.

You are surely get as much as you wasn't, but one of the things I wasn't to draw your attention to. Most altcoins have their respective or particular duration of survival. As soon as the project ends or stops, then the coin becomes almost useless and that is how the coin becomes or is rendered nothing.

BTC, of course, would be the safest investment no matter what, it may fall but for sure it would go up that depends on you on what amount you have purchased. Regarding the list provided, I like that you have added ETN, this is one of the projects that still exist since 2017 - mobile mining yet too many supply, better to release it when you see pumps and regarding REBL - this was just an airdrop and yes, this is still alive and good thing that they are still innovating no matter what - they got good devs.

From the list above, I only see Bitcoin that will have big potential for a significant rising. I am not really sure with the others, most of them seem not familiar with me. For me, Bitcoin is still the most recommended coin for investment so far. And maybe the other options, you can be better to consider buying the top coins like Ethereum, Binance Coin, Litecoin, EOS, or Cardano.

The coin you selected is indeed very good and has a lot of potential but I think the more potential to go up and be able to guarantee a price increase is only in Bitcoin because I see that the influence of a very limited supply will make the price of bitcoin very expensive due to the influence of demand is also increasing.

Most of the cryptocurrencies that you have selected are good coins to invest but it would be great if you can do away with VET and add BNB as Binance coin has been seeing some great developments off late which brought about a whole increase in its price.  Also, the launch of its DEX brings more value to its cryptocurrency i the long run.

every one agree  if binance was the best projects in crypto market at this moment.since the begining binance team show good work, they achieved many milestone in only near time.with usefull product for cryptocurrency ecosystem , binance succesfull in market.only in few months bnb coin price more than 200%.we need another " binance" so investor will gain profits.

If it were me I would keep BTC, LINK, KCS.
- BTC: Of course, everyone's first priority when it comes to investing in cryptocurrencies
- LINK: This great project has many partners, and there are partners who are technology giants like Google and Oracle.
- KCS: Kucoin is a very popular exchange, impressive growth. Holding KCS will be shared profits and reduced transaction fees.

I don't know some of the coins you chose, but bitcoin, neo, waves, and ETN are in my interest. The important thing is that the coins you choose are still running according to the roadmap to be useful in real life. If that happens, surely your assets will surge up. Don't forget to pay attention or follow the info on the coins that you hold to minimize the occurrence of stuck development which eventually leads to a scam.

It's best to add coins if you have enough money to invest.

Because more coins have the potential to rise in price. Similar to Litecoin (LTC), Ethereum (ETH), Monero (XMR)

And much more. It's also a good idea to read their whitepaper until you know what it can do to raise prices.

of all that you mentioned, I am only interested in BTC, if there is ETH or BCH maybe I will choose it with BTC, but unfortunately no,
I suggest choosing a coin that is already strong and has been proven in market capitalization, because the ranking in CMC affects the market's interest in the project.

Add ETH and LTC, maybe if me i will hold not more than 5 but i want to make sure they will give me profit. Ethereum and bitcoin is usually be main coin to hold, not only by me maybe by a lot of people here too. That is why i suggest to Add ETH, maybe change ETN to ETH.

I guess he forgets to add ethereum and litecoin in his list because both ethereum and litecoin will have the same opportunity to increase as the other coin in the list. But for numbers 4, 8, 9, 10, I don't know how good the token/coin because I don't have those coins/token. I think he can replace the coin that is hard to increase, or the coin doesn't have the potential to grow. Perhaps, he can analyze more with the other coins so he can find the other potential coins to buy.

What about adding BNB to the list? Since using BNB coin is having a less transaction fee, whenever the time comes for the bitcoin or altcoin to be bullish, most of the traders will utilize the binance platform to trade their coins. As a result, since BNB provudes less transaction fee, its demand would increase so as its market price.

You definitely need to add Ethereum, DOGE, Litecoin and BNB to your portfolio. Ethereum is the best platform for decentralized applications and token launches. Litecoin is a cryptocurrency “silver”, this is how it is perceived by traders, even if this coin is not in second place in terms of capitalization for a long time. Everyone loves DOGE and I think this project still has a future. BNB is the best exchange's token of the Binance cryptocurrency exchange.

I know the team is active developing their app and some others, but this will not change the value of the coin if the team does not want to make it as precious as Bitcoin or other PoW cryptocurrencies. Investment is all about the growth of the capital if the team makes it less valuable there is no reason for the investor to hold it unless they are doing it as some sort of hobby or collection. ETH is a good investment object, nothing could go wrong holding it.

The 8-11 coins, I don't know more about them so if you will ask me if you should remove them, well I say yes. And in what coin you should invest the money that you'll get from those?

Add more with bitcoin.

Why you don't have Ethereum?
Same question with ETH, not sure why OP didn't bothered to buy this coin since from the list on the top projects around the market ETH is following BTC.

For whatever reason, maybe if OP still have spare money he can add ETH as part of his portfolio, since the value of this coin is down more than from it's last time high, when bounce happened to this market ETH will bring great benefits to its holders.
Maybe OP has his own reason, something like he disregard ETH because he sees disadvantages of ethereum, like for having too many platforms or such as that.
But maybe OP may consider if he realizes that ethereum is a good altcoin to invest, he has a great portfolio maybe he might think of it.
Yes, maybe he's got the reason why but seeing his previous comment he's now willing to add ETH.

OP's are looking for good reasons why he should continue, or if he needs to backdown with his current holdings.
It's important that investors have actual knowledge with the projects that they've intended to invest their money.

Well, I don't know half of those coins to be honest so I am not sure how worthy my advice would be to you.

However, the main suggestion I could give you would be to keep those small coins number to a minimum, the more you have options the better but never big amounts, so sure buy 100 small ones and get into ICO's etc etc but in the end do not put more than 10-50 bucks into them no matter how rich you are because most of them will fail and you are only making the creators rich, you could be a millionaire and still wouldn't suggest more than 50 bucks to anyone.

Increase the amount you are putting into bitcoin no matter how much you have right now, the more bitcoins the better because in the end all other coins go up and down but bitcoin will be the one that always stays at the top.

I think it depends on your taste whether you have to add the investment you have made to some of the coins you have mentioned or add other types of coins, most importantly in my opinion, you should look at the future prospects of each coin you own and can be used as long-term investment from 2017 to the present.

That is how to choose potential coins that probably hold for the long term and those have a high potential to raise up not just for the shitcoin.
Well regardless of what coins you are going to invest the most important is patience because as we all know not all coins increase its value quickly or have high potential so you must need to be patient enough for you to earn a big profit once the price rises. At least choosing top 10 coins that were in the CoinsMarketCap,

The rebl airdrop back in 2017 was the airdrop that made me pick interest in Altcoins because it had so much hype and it was basically the first Altcoin I got for free, a nice selection though, exactly as I would have picked.

He should have it included if he's asking for others opinion and suggestion with his portfolio. He has a reason for not including it but we don't know what it would be but we are not forcing him to add it.

If he feels that he shouldn't add it, that's fine but if forgot to add it then that will make the situation better. And those unknown coins that I've said, he has a reasons on why he took that instead of Ethereum.

Also, ETH is missing from your list, don't you think ETH 2.0 staking might be a new dawn for ETH?.  In my opinion, I will strongly advise you not to invest in so many coins at once (from experience) so that you can follow up on the few on your portfolio. Choose the best few on your scale of preference, that's my style anyway.

Hi All,

i have been buying a little crypto since Sept 2017, not much but some.

I have invested in the following coins and was curious to know what you guys think of my portfolio? Can i get rid of some coins or add?

1) BTC
2) NEO
3) WAVES
4) VET
5) LINK
6) ETN
7) KCS
8 ) UTK
9) DAG
10) XBY
11) REBL

Appreciate your responses.

Good taste I would day, might also consider LTC and XRP on your list. What's sad is the market situation we are currently seeing. Those coins in your list are indeed promising but I am afraid how would the market behavior affect the prices of those cryptos. At this moment, recovery still is blurry and investing would be a bit risky. Holding would be more advisable in my opinion. I have holdings and some are having prices close to zero. I am not letting go of these tokens.

IMO, it's good enough to hold BTC, NEO, and WAVES. I think it has the potential to have high prices in the years to come. apart from these coins, I rarely pay attention to the development of other coins. I might recommend adding BCH SV, LTC, and BNB. at the moment, the three coins also have potentials that can develop when the price of bitcoin returns.

im not familiar on other coins that he have but ltc and xrp can be a good replacement for it  . market current situation is verry good for investors so they should have feel happy instead of being sad   .  market behaves normally but no matter what move it do , your portfolio wont be affected as long as you wont get being affected  aswell   . market recovery is always been blurry but there is always a rainbow after a rain  .  recovery is always there mate  .

good advice in your opinion I personally still have very strong beliefs about bitcoin that will develop going forward and in my opinion the development of crypto currencies depends on the investors themselves because investing in crypto currencies with very large risks requires very strong confidence and patience to invest for me a big risk will certainly get a big profit too

Appreciate your responses.

I would sell all the coins in your portfolio except BTC. The proceeds I would invest 30% more in BTC and the remaining 70% I would buy Ethereum, which is now cheap and has great prospects for growth.

BTC is the best coin that you should have in your portfolio, I do not have information on some tokens that you bought so I do not have any recommendation about it but one thing that you should always take note, you should know what you are doing before you make an investment.
BTC is already listed on the OP investment list, I also agree with your opinion such as reconsider before doing anything in this industry including in investment. but I think OP has a lot of good and decent coins for future investment, just want to add a little like Ltc and BNB. I don't see the OP adding investment lists on these two altcoins.

A lot of people are optimistic about this coin but the reality is very different because Bitcoin is not the only coin affected by this market. I think the future of Bitcoin is going to be very good but right now things are going badly for the time being and I'm not sure what will happen next to this coin. You can now choose to invest at a low price or wait for a cheaper price to invest because Bitcoin is likely to drop to $5000 in the next few months.

My predictions will be inaccurate but I'm sure this market will have more big adjustments because 2019 is not a promising year for everyone.

I do not think that the 11th on your list is still actively trading, if it has not been delisted. Also, I do not see ethereum on your list, you might add to it if you have the fund. The first five on your list and the 7th have great prospects and you might think of holding them.

You can't survive for your obduracy decisions. For long time investment you have to change your decision. Although Bitcoin, Ethereum or Ripple investment is fixed. In your list you can update by Litecoin and Binance coin. New technology and service could control future market.
I like the list. It includes most of good digital coins but in my opinion, these are a way too much. I mean, investing in ten coins simultaneously can be troublesome as one will have to keep track of all of them. At most, one should invest in three altcoins. Better is to go with only one coin and put efforts to make good profits fro that. Bitcoin should be that coin and it is comforting to see at the top of list.

So a quick update:

I've made some changes to my portfolio, mostly reduced my coins.

1) BTC
2) XRP (Sold all my NEO)
3) WAVES (Sold half for Chainlink)
4) VET
5) LINK
6) ETN
8 ) UTK
9) DAG (Sold all my KCS and increased DAG)
10) ETH

My aim is a monthly contribution of £50-100 a month to BTC and £50 a month to ETH

Hold unto them very well they are all good altcoins but i wish you can add bnb token, skycoin, monero or other privacy coins to the list, there is nothing wrong if you expand your portfolio it equals more profits for you

Personally, I think these are promising coins. And this is the right choice to get good income. These coins are a great investment in the future. I believe that if a coin is on the cryptocurrency market, then this coin is worth something and can bring excellent profit.

It is a classic problem of all altcoin investors, they diversify too much and they loose the control of their portfolio. I know that you would like to secure your profit by reducing the risk, but also you have to realize that more coins you have, more time you should spend about tracking their progress. The sooner you realize that your coin is dying, the less you will lose. Follow Github and social media sties to be informed about everything what is happening around your coins.  ;)

It is very difficult to choose altcoins for investment, there are too many of them. I prefer to invest in altcoins that are developed in the direction of blockchain protocols and payment ecosystems. For example - Chainlink, NEM, Lisk, PundiX, Paytomat.

Not all of my coins love it. I'm too picky in terms of coins, because for me the coin that I choose determines the future of my wallet.
The better the coin that I chose would be the fat also the wallet I had. This is my strongest reason to be a selector. Among the coins I've chosen are, Bitcoin, Litecoin, Ethereum, Ripple, NEO, EOS, Bitcoin Cash. That's just what became my main coin.

but if the coins are multiplied then the control is also involved even more, which needs to be questioned whether he can control it well if adding coins to his portfolio. if indeed he can do it then not a big problem, so think about that too if you want to add coins in the portfolio

Yes it is true, don't divide your money into lots of coins too much. But if you think those coins can make a profit and not make the expenses you are doing greater, then that is a good decision. And for bitcoin itself when compared to other coins I personally would prefer bitcoin or you could say 70% into bitcoin and 30% into other coins.
