Title: Where do you invest 60 BTC?
Post by: 60BTC on October 30, 2019, 09:21:57 AM
Suppose you earned 60BTC by working hard for 5 years and one day you decide now you don't want to work then what would you do with that amount?
How would you invest that amount? What will you do? Hold it dreaming the price will rise? Sell it and invest the fiat? or start a business? or retire? Any ideas?  :P

I would invest them in my wallet haha jokes aside I would probably get around a quarter out to invest into a hard real asset like a couple of apartments that will provide me a stable monthly return. I would keep the rest in BTC in my wallet because I'm so bullish on it long term.

hodl, than on 100k, sell half, than hodl again

will "gamble" with some 5% on some mayor alts, but not now, they will fall a little more

But don't you think in the long run you would earn more by holding bitcoin instead of selling and then buying apartments to earn monthly income?

There's really no perfect answer here. It completely depends on your circumstances. If BTC60 is really pretty much everything you have in a financial standpoint, then even though I really don't want to sell on the current price($9,200), I would most definitely sell more than half of it just for financial security(the amount I suggest selling would sell completely depends on what country you're in and how much your monthly bills are). And I would simply use the money for an emergency fund, and to start businesses. If you didn't sell and the price crashed 70-90% in a short timespan due to whatever reason, you'd be screwed. Diversification is always the smart thing to do.

No what if you earned that much bitcoin by working part time for five years? You have stable job and earning in fiat too but also manage to earn 60BTC by working part time 3 hours daily for five years? then what would you do with that 60BTC. Is holding that amount long term a good idea if you are already financially secured in fiat?

How would you invest that amount?

60BTC is already priced to half a million Euro. Quite some money and Bitcoin still has plenty of room for growing.
So first of all, I would not put it into some custodian wallet promising whatever. Not your keys, not your money.
I'd think on a business I can start - whether is a business in crypto or not. Even buying one or more houses of apartments for renting is a business.
I'd spend some money and may hire a financial adviser. He may have ideas which didn't occur to me.
Of course, I'd still keep some Bitcoin as investment. Maybe invest in other things too. With such a wealth there are a lot of options to diversify, and by diversifying right I can always stay on profit.

Although 60BTC is quite a wealth, I would not afford to retire only with that. I have to do something to make it make more money. And unless you are already quite old, you'll have to do the same.
Bitcoin rising could be an answer. But I wouldn't rely solely on that.

Obviously I would use it in real estate and build a small Township which will give me a stable income and I would probably invest  some of them to establish a restaurant chain as food and shelter is something important for human being and it will fetch you money forever.  There are lot of plan but these two are my goals.

You already answered your own question. Holding it until the price reach your target would be the best option in your scenario. Since you have a stable job, I assume you wont bother to trade to avoid yourself from being over stressed.
You must be very lucky if you're financially stable with fiat while holding that huge amount of Bitcoin. Hold it for your retirement instead.

It still really depends on some factors. How much fiat have I earned for those 5 years?

If:
  • it's a well paying job
  • I don't see myself getting fired anytime soon
  • the industry I'm working at is sort of "evergreen"
  • I don't have any children
  • I have enough money saved to support myself for 5-10 years without a job(just to be really sure)

I would most probably hold the BTC60 as I'm really bullish on it in the long term. And probably just sell fractions of a BTC if I really really need money.

I'll pick the smartest choice I can think of. Starting a business I think. I don't wanna gamble that big amount of money ( yes there is a risk in business but the risk in business can be predicted/analyzed and fixed easily not unlike bitcoin trading). Retirement isn't the best choice and no one would pick it for sure, money won't circulate and profit.

You can do a lot if you have that much bitcoin. the first is clearly still putting part or half of it fixed on bitcoin because bitcoin is a reliable long-term investment. some can be invested in altcoin that is already listed on the exchange, which is not a little altcoin is also quite good. or you can exchange some of it for fiat for business, don't just crypto it.

Once a persom have that amount they have a time that they enjoy their money first and once they spend mosr of them they think to invest or the remaining. But for the first place once I have 60 bitcoin and I don't want to work I will cashout maybe 20 bitcoin for my savings and the other is to invest still in cryptocurrency and start a business to earn more money again.

1. Of course I use 20% of my bitcoin to reward myself on vacation with my wife and children.

2) And second I will use 30% to build a business that will help with our daily needs.

3) And the remaining 50% will be used for the emergency fund and the same time will be for hold.

If ever I earn 60 bitcoin I guess I will probably hold it until the price goes up. Every year we might see a good uprising price of bitcoin that's why it is totally good to hold. One of my plans, if I have 60 bitcoin, is the half of it will be used in a business and the rest will remain on my wallet or simply I will hold it. It's better to use the bitcoin in some business so you can still earn more money. I know some of us will have same idea with me because having a good business will totally support you financially.

60 bitcoin is impossible for me to get  :o ;D, but if I have 60 bitcoin, I will divide it into 3 parts, I store 20 bitcoin in a safe wallet or I trade, 20 bitcoin again for real business capital property business, the rest for me to enjoy, buy a house, have fun and also for the holidays.

It depends where you live. In some countries at current prices that's enough to live like an emperor for several generations right now. In others that'll won't buy you half a decent sized house in a good area.

Either way there's no such thing as 'investing' it without risking losing all of it instantly or over time. Owning it is the investment. I wouldn't put anything into these places like blockfi.

I don't believe starting a bitcoin business like a casino can possibly compete against what's already out there. All you'll be doing is burning money trying to get a foothold that'll never happen.

I don't know jack shit about trading so it is not for me sadly but if i knew trading i would be doubling that amount in a year.

Don't fall for the pricks who espouse trading. Most people who try it wind up fucking up. I know I would be absolutely guaranteed to.

That can work. But don't you think the casino niche is a bit too congested already? Unless you have a genius idea that could potentially make people move from existing reputable casino sites(Stake.com, Fortunatejack, etc) to your casino site.

I'll diversify the amount into different investments. I'll allocate 20 bitcoin to invest on properties. Further I'll keep 10 bitcoin for my gambling needs. In the 30 bitcoin available I'll just hold 21 bitcoin. With the remaining 9 bitcoin I'll start a small business that gets me with a earning to fulfill my daily expenses. This way I'll make me one among the million to have 21 bitcoin.

In case I don't want to stop on holding Bitcoin, I would just spread it to some investments. I might not start a business and would just become a trader and investor. I might still become a holder of Bitcoin and trade it to get more profit. Bitcoin doesn't give dividen, that's the main problem for me, I would then exchange some of them to invest in fiat, stock market, to earn passive income.

What really bothers you is the possibility that the price of Bitcoin may drop to zero or near that number, and that 5 years of your part-time job won't be worth anything. This possibility is real and exists, no one can guarantee that Bitcoin will exist for 5 or 10 years.

To reduce this risk, simply sell the part of Bitcoins that you think would be enough pay for what you've been doing for the past 5 years, second part save to paper or hardware wallet, and third part use for investment in something you think that is safer than Bitcoin (gold, silver, stocks, real estate).

If you have no experience with things like online casino, maybe it is better to stay away from such things. It is not only money you need to invest, but also all legal&regulatory issues.

Starting up a business will always be a good way to invest the 60BTC . You are 100% sure that your business can make you a double of the initial investment capital you used.  Businesses present real assets that will bring you income for a long term if your business addresses specific problem in the ecosystem you find yourself. Starting up a business is a good retirement plan. With that, you will have a source of a specific income at any moment in time.

But don't you think in the long run you would earn more by holding bitcoin instead of selling and then buying apartments to earn monthly income?

Investments and finance is a game of risk management.  In my opinion it is very important to diversify your portfolio to reduce risk especially when you're managing large amounts. Real estate offers monthly income plus appreciation of the properties. Of course I would get much more if Bitcoin is successful long term, but it is not about how much you make, but about what income you can maintain and eventually grow.

What ChrisPop suggest(quoted below) is a great investment for new investors. it is also preferable to you since you are looking for a passive income (quoted below ChrisPop). but if you are only interested in crypto type investment holding is a great way and will be suggested to you a lot of times. you can also invest in gambling sites(not starting a gambling site) which I am currently doing but you have to read their FAQ about Investment to get the full idea on how their investment work. but in the end, it will still be your choice is to where you will invest your money.

I'll tell you, It will never be easy doubling your capital in a year. Trading ain't no joke, It needs experience and expertise. As you said, you don't know nothing in the field of trading then you still have a long way before you can maximize the opportunity in monetizing the trade.
Just stick to your original plan. Holding has almost no risk at all, and there's still plenty of time for you to wait till Bitcoin will reach new heights. $9,000+ Is too cheap for you if you try to sell it today. Being financially stable, I dont see any reason for you to sell some of your Bitcoin in this price. Maybe a bigger business will come follow than what  business you are planning right now after you sold your Bitcoin in a much higher price.

Wow, 60 bitcoins are a very huge amount of money not many people here know where to invest such amount of money including myself. I think it is better to HODL your bitcoins rather than selling and buying some shitcoin. Bitcoin value will grow bigger in the future so why sell now? I'm afraid HODLing is the best answer ;D

You can withdraw or sell your bitcoin after staking success and bitcoin have higher price after several time staking success.

If you were able to earn half a million dollars in the past five years it is not a bad job you are doing continue that work for the next five years and wait for the price of bitcoin to rally once again and access the situation and trade accordingly, it all depends upon your comfort on what to invest with the money you have but you can wait a couple of years and see how the market will be at that stage and keep on working till that time rather than looking for an early retirement.

What the hell does this mean?

If you mean 'investing' it in alts for staking then that's complete and utter suicide. In return for an infinitesimal percentage of returns from a worthless alt your worthless alt will also lose 80-100% of the BTC you put into it.

Almost no one here should be listened to. It's like a hive mind of mindlessness.

Well since you are not interested in trading, its best to just hold your coins with you and wait til you finally need the money badly and spend it like for your health. Don't force yourself into learning to trade when you are not really into it. Most of those who tried and without interest are just losing instead. Remember that you are lucky enough to have gotten 60BTC while the rest doesn't even have 1BTC at all. For many of us 60BTC is a fortune.

Staking ETH would be best I guess. This will happen next year.

Put up a loan service and lend it to the people. Ask very, very reasonable interest in exchange. Considering that I have more than half a million dollars (even with today's standards) that should be pretty okay thing for me to do. It doesn't even have to be all of it. Leave 30 BTC for HODLing or other activities that you may want to partake in and just keep reinvesting the remaining 30 with loans and such. While HODLing is a good way of earning money in the longterm, the coin can work to increase itself too.

What do you think about DASH staking? is DASH also a shitcoin? I heard DASH masternode staking gives good returns. I can invest in that and it requires 1000 DASH to begin with. Is it a good investment or do you think it's better to just HODL bitcoin which will give better returns overall?
I am disappointed since i did not cash out my bitcoin in December 2017 when it was up 20000$. It becomes really hard for me to sell when bitcoin price keeps going up  :P

I would not invest all this amount in any one project or coin, because it will be risky. The amount is rather big and in your place I would consider buying shares of some large companies, there you will probably receive good dividends after a certain time.

No one should ever buy an alt for the staking. It's an OK bonus if you already own the alt, but even then I have a stakable alt and the returns are so low I can't even be bothered to set it up. Under no circumstances is it worth buying in just for that.

Suppose you earned 60BTC by working hard for 5 years and one day you decide now you don't want to work then what would you do with that amount?
How would you invest that amount? What will you do? Hold it dreaming the price will rise? Sell it and invest the fiat? or start a business? or retire? Any ideas?  :P

I will have to divide it. A portion will certainly remain in my wallet. A little portion would go for my house and car, about 6 BTC in total. A few more BTC will be converted into fiat for starting a little business. And perhaps a few more for investment in real estate most probably. And perhaps that is all. If I have a business, that will surely be open for Bitcoin payments so my Bitcoin will still be refilled in one way or another. The rest I will be spending for my daily needs. How I wish this is all true!

That's a hell of a lot of money.  If that was my *only* savings, I would cash some of it out and put it into some kind of savings account.  Not much, but cash is useful.

Next, I would keep about 75% of it in bitcoin, because I am convinced that bitcoin is the best investment as far as crypto goes.  I might convert about 5% of what's left into some good altcoins, maybe distribute the remainder evenly among some of the largest cap coins on coinmarketcap.  That would probably mean Eth, dash, and one or two others at most.

Unfortunately the reality is that this is just a mental exercise for me.  I don't have anywhere close to 60BTC and I don't anticipate ever having to make that decision.  One can dream, tho.  :)

If I'm holding something like 60 BTC, I would divide it and invest it on something like gambling casino roll or I might trade it If you have something like 60 BTC you could be powerful enough to win trade wars. There are many choices to invest in.

I suggest that you should follow your own forte, Like building an I.T company since you are a programmer/web developer.

there are projects offering passive income like investing to a casino project like BETHASH.  bear in mind that this isn't for the conservative investor.

what you could do is learn the signing message in wallets and lend you BTC for collateral. you earn by interest here from the forum members. you will have to choose which users to lend though, maybe those who had proven records and reputable. this is one way to grow your BTC.

If there was a viable and safe option for passive income/increaases in cryptoland everyone would be doing it. It would be swamped instantly. The fact that it's effectively not possible is what all the scammers and assholes prey on.

In my experience people don't want advice, they just want the choice they've already settled on to be affirmed by others. I can only offer my own observations and experiences of several obsessive years observing it all and they're listed in that post. If you have that much you must've been around for a decent time too and seen the endless parade of disaster.

If you want to experiment then do so. Don't do it with anything more than you're happy to see go up in smoke.

The above. At least some of the time Bitcoin itself is doing exactly what you're looking for, it's making you money while you do nothing. You don't have to trust anyone else. You don't have to put much work in. You don't have to wait and hope that something emerges from obscurity or comes back from the dead.

Two things;
- divide your bitcoin into 2, half for your savings, bitcoin's price will rise higher in the years to come.
- BTC30 invest your bitcoin into some businesses, retail shop, properties, boarding house, anything that might catch your interest and at least isn't too difficult to learn.
If a business could run without your attendance, then your investment is working.

You have more than many others will have throughout their entire lives, and you don't need all that money right now since you have a decent job that makes you have a decent life. I gave you advice on which way you can at least partially solve your doubts, but you are looking for some surefire way to invest money and earn passive income. As others say, Bitcoin is risky, but great investment - do you know how much 1 BTC is worth before 5 years, or just 2 years ago?

If you like Buffett (you miss one letter), I hope you know what he means about Bitcoin - you should sell all 60 BTC today and invest in what he is investing, he is rich person, don't you want to be as rich as he is?

You need to diversify it carefully. If I have that kind of money I will divide it into like this:

Cash savings - daily expenses and for emergency purposes too, you can put some of this fund to time deposits or any form of investments that you can easily withdraw anytime.
Bitcoin - most secured crypto currency, I believe halving can bring its price high enough than its current value.
Altcoins - you need to very extremely careful with your picks here, maybe 3 altcoins in the top 10 listed at coinmarketcap, 1 from top 50 and 1 another promising project that just started or anything outside top 50 you believe has the potential to become another top altcoin.
Real estate - you can purchase house and lot or parcel of land or both.
Fiat investment - you can diversify to bank time deposits, bonds, and other secured form of investments
Business - think about your passion in life and how you can make it profitable

It will be up to you how you can allocate the amount based in your priorities and expertise. Like for example you are good at business then you can put 1 or 2 or even 3 you think you can manage.

The only thing you should exchange your BTC holding for is something with the possibility to appreciate at a more exponential rate than the standard exchange fluctuation.

While staking a PoS coin is good for users who do not want hardware headaches of PoW it is not really the best avenue in the grand scheme of things.
For years, I staked some long-forgotten coin that helped me pay to keep the house heated one winter. So that does work for some people. This is when PoS works when the total number increases yes, but also the price in BTC goes up in the open market. There are too many circumstances beyond your control for something like this to work out, reliably.

When trading the best bet is to "buy low and sell high." While stocks are based on news and annual reports of companies, you can see the much more of the community of any project online for crypto projects. "Buy on rumour sell on news" as they say, so many times the FUD-pits are the best source of info, as the market already moved by the time headlines are written. This market never sleeps.

There is no stopping you from getting involved with any project here at BCT. For anyone as a casual outsider, who is thirsty for ROI, it is difficult to see beyond the face value of any given project. The realness of any protocol is not the marketcap or daily transactions, but the more important social glue. Are the users honourable and considerate as a whole? It is very difficult to find a group of crypto enthusiasts who are not collectively or individually succumbing to one logical fallacy or another.

It would appear to me that your next steps involve focusing the skills you enjoy using and contributing a small portion of the funds accessible to pursue an endeavour whose benefit is not only financial but rewarding in other less tangible ways.

Taking an active role in an open project who needs a bit of coordinated and accountable funding (like a bounty system) as well as a person with your desired skill set would be the best foot forward. If you are working for someone else and want to keep the day-job then perhaps a less active role would be good in this organization until you start getting enough regular passive income to replace the comfort level your current career provides.

Personally. If i had that much BTC, i would buy some land, a stainless steel wallet, some concrete, a safe and make my own cold storage facility/
then will the land to my next of kin, until the progeny is born.

please feel free to PM, even if you are larping

After having my own business at least 2-3 different business then I will enter the investment in stockmarket and in the crypto world.

60 BTC is currently price total of $500k. For those well developed countries then this amounts wont fit out for someone to go into a retirement
but for those people who live on 3rd world then this would be enough for you to live forever without having a day job unless if you do really
spend this money wisely and properly but since you do talk about on how to utilize it then on my own ways i would cashout the half of coins
to fiat and invest into offline projects like a bachelor pad renting or any other building which would be good for leverage.
Incase if crypto would be on very bearish mode then you can simply sustain yourself into those offline business earnings without relying into your
crypto earning.

Of course with 60 btc funds it will be used well the most important thing is for long-term investment of about 50%, trading can use 10% is enough for me, 20% for businesses in the real world and I really like business, 20% to buy luxury house to enjoy our life in old age.

60BTC in 5 years? That's 12BTC a year! Even if we take a low price of 3000 USD which was the low for the last 3 years it's still 36k USD a year. That's some serious money. You must be working hard 24/7 or gambling, or you are a UN MP those people get paid big money for nothing ;)

Holding BTC is already an investment. Why would you double the risk by reinvesting an investment?

Think in the terms of physical goods. You have a house that you're renting out and that gives you a good passive income with a small degree of risk but now you want to go play poker and put your house on the table. Do you need more money so much?

If you have 60 BTC , you already have an investment so no need to make another one. Besides this , holding 60 BTC would change your life in some years so all your hard work would be extra profitable in the end and I doubt you will ever work again haha. But sure , if you want some extra investment , wait for a bull run , cash out and start a business into crypto space to help spreading the word about cryptocurrencies....there is always a 2nd option , to make a small investments into altcoins but when you already have that amount of Bitcoin , I don't see the reason.

I can answer your points.I am 27 yrs old web developer.decent pay.not married, financially stable in fiat.if i keep holding bitcoin thoughts do come to my mind will i be multi millionaire in future/the price crash to zero. I am thinking of starting a dice casino in crypto to make passive income but have no idea how much it cost to start such business.

1. Single = no need to worry about anyone else, no children, no dependents.
2. Do you have an emergency fund, or savings, in fiat, other than the BTC?

I used to run a casino, it cost me about 10 BTC at today's prices (it cost more in BTC 3 years ago) ... I'm involved in another one that's about to start, all they really need is a bankroll to fund it as the casino is ready to go. You could try doing that with any other bitcoin casino as well.

You can take a greater risk if you want, just be aware that it's quite possible for you to lose any amount you put in, so maybe not the whole 60 BTC.

On the other hand, do you have fiat reserves, as in very liquid as good as cash? You should have an emergency fund that is worth 3 to 6 months (or more) of your total monthly expenses, so if you suddenly become unemployed for that long, you'll be good.

For example, let's say your monthly expenses including rent, food, groceries, transportation, internet, TV, phone, etc etc. (and you can cut down on some things too, to save money) is about ... $3000. You'll want to set aside 3 to 6 months and that would be = $9000 to $18000. So at today's prices, if you don't have any other cash in your bank account, sell 2 or 3 BTC to get to around $18000. Or a little bit more.

That is your emergency fund, you don't use it for anything, you don't buy a lambo with it, you just keep it in a bank account you can access. Preferably an account with no fees and higher than normal interest rate (I wouldn't really care because they all give 1% to 2% per year interest rates.)

You could also look into stable coins, my preference would be DAI (from Maker) as opposed to all the other ones, followed by USDT simply because they have the largest marketcap of all stablecoins and every exchange on the planet trades them.

That leaves you with about 57 BTC left.

If you want something passive now, in my opinion, the best investment would be a broad market index fund or ETF, depending on what country you live in, these things invest in hundreds or thousands of large cap businesses, like the S&P 500, or if you have access to it, the Vanguard Total Stock Market Funds. You'll get maybe 8% to 12% per year on those. This is a long term investment.

As for others, that depends on how much time you want to study them. There are dividend paying stocks, usually in the banking, energy and oil sectors. There are also REITS, (real estate investment trusts) that pay monthly or quarterly, and you don't have to bother with collecting rent, they do that for you.

If you're willing to take the gamble, cash out some, maybe dollar cost average, and invest in those. Leave some in BTC, put it in cold storage and just HODL it. Donate some to those in need maybe. I'd probably leave at least 10, maybe 20 BTC. I'd create a new wallet using either Bitcoin Core or Electrum, do a couple of tests, then send them to 10 or 20 addresses (1 BTC each, more or less, does not have to be exact.) and make several backups.

If all your other investments do ok, you'll have a decent passive income, plus a nest egg of 10 to 20 BTC, which, in another 5 to 10 years could be worth $100k to $1m each, and at that point you have a nice problem what to do with it. (I'd cash out some of it to add to my emergency fund and other traditional fiat investments.)

Find out what you really need right now, save the rest, invest smartly.

60 BTC is a huge amount of money, and the first thing I do is to retire my job immediately! This is a huge sum of money enough for me to live without doing anything. But since it was too much money for me I would donate a small percentage to charities that accept bitcoin as a donation. And the rest is for my hope of peace in life. While it is still holding on to my wallet and looking forward to bitcoin price rise again.

if I have 60 Bitcoin right now, I would not even think of selling all of it, maybe I will just sell 20 Bitcoin and set up a grocery, I just want a simple with a steady income, with the way things are going right now, selling Bitcoin, all of it is out of the question, since I live in a third world country any increase on the price will have a good impact in my economy.

HODLING is a good strategy in crypto If you believe that in the long term cryptocurrencies will see much broader adoption and use, and that the currencies you are holding are likely front-runners in their area of technology, It’s the equivalent of being a long-term stock investor like Warren Buffett. You are choosing top issues in what you feel is an undervalued, emergent industry and you intend to hold until they reach their full potential regardless of what the market does. In fact, you may buy more on $10,000.

All successful people never look at anything negative, we always look at the positive, longer term holding in most markets is a more successful strategy for the average saver or investor. Short-term trading by amateurs, whether in stocks or in cryptocurrencies on in real estate or other things, is usually less successful.

For me, it still depends on your study what will you do to your BTC/ money. Because if you are tired of waiting that the price of bitcoin will increase and already have an excellent plan to your money, what is the odds of waiting for bitcoin to rise again then starting a new investment/ business. I know that besides earning bitcoin in different methods, you still have a different source of income. Also, you can start a small business using 50% or 30% to create more business/ source of income, especially if you still want to hold some of your BTC. :)

60 Bitcoins are enough to start your own local cryptocurrency exchange in your country. You can start with small cryptocurrency exchange within your own locality and build a reputation and before you know it after a couple of years you'll become a popular cryptocurrency exchange.

BTC it self is the investment. You don't need to invest in anything else. Whatever you do with that money you will probably end up with starting a business, not really investing. That is $500-600k which enables many options. You may even start an online casino. I've seen casinos with bankroll less than this amount.

And the rest would be hold on a hardware wallet for safety and I would only sell them if they reach the price that I want.

Sure, you're regretting it now, along with a lot of bitcoin holders out there. But think realistically. What are the chances that you'd guess the absolute top price of bitcoin's bull market? Even a honest and realistic expert trader would admit that a peak price almost next to impossible to predict. Stop beating yourself up for it.

Suppose you earned 60BTC by working hard for 5 years and one day you decide now you don't want to work then what would you do with that amount?
How would you invest that amount? What will you do? Hold it dreaming the price will rise? Sell it and invest the fiat? or start a business? or retire? Any ideas?  :P

of course I will find a business in real world that has high percentage that it will increase as far as I want the after that I will do trading for my extra bitcoin.

It is hard to rely on bitcoin forever so it is good to have a 2nd plan in the real world before it gone.

You misunderstand me, We all know bitcoin is getting stable each year. There is rarely major fluctuation in price. I don't want my money to sit idle. I want an increase in bitcoin and increase in fiat will follow. For eg: turning 60 BTC to 100 BTC in coming years by starting a crypto business. I know it's possible with some right knowledge and ideas. At my age(27), i think it's wise to take a risk instead of just HODLING and doing nothing. Don't you think?

There is a small casino out there that is looking for a bankroll. Would you like to try that? For your peace of mind, you could ask an escrow to hold the funds, but remember that casinos require at least part of that in order to pay out the winners. The players can only bet up to a certain maximum, usualy the kelly is 1% of the bankroll.

Are you sure you don't want to try some traditional fiat investments? Those things have really long track records and most funds are insured as well. Several years, decades even ... What continent are you in? (or country) if you don't mind.

With 60 Bitcoins I can start a business of buying and selling bitcoin hardware wallets on Amazon and eBay. Also, you can buy bitcoin miners from both Bitmain and Avalon and sell them on Amazon and eBay.  you can also buy and sell cheap used bitcoin miners online. you can trade cryptocurrency as well. What you can do with 60 bitcoins sky is the limit.

I'll take a chunk of it at my determined price and will invest it into some traditional investments too. I'll diversify it and generate passive income so that your money will continue to flow although you're not working anymore. Having my own e-commerce business will be a good idea since I have the capital to start with. I have a lot of things to do with that amount and it won't go into waste if I'll get into that point of owning 60 BTC.

Probably convert some of the coins (maybe around 40% of the coins) to fiat currency. Hold most of them and invest rest on altcoins. I would also invest most of them in some well known casino like crypto-games.net. You know, make some more profits on the way while holding them, sitting back and relaxing. Casinos in the long run will make profit because of the house edge. So year, low risk investment.

Hold the bitcoin, spend some of it to do business and of course I’ll buy the things that I want. I don’t trade always so holding with bitcoin is the best for me and that amount of bitcoin is already a big money. You have to diversified that money so you can feel more liquid and you can have the chance to earn more.

It reads rather like their mind is already made up no matter what and nothing will cause them to deviate from it.

We can be warped by the returns so far and often feel that we deserve ever more elsewhere and they're somehow a birthright just waiting to be unearthed. People should sit back and ponder how unique Bitcoin's circumstances and characteristics are.

There may well be nothing else like for a generation or more.

The idea of risking something that unique and proven in favour of the tsunami of dreck attempting to capitalise off its droppings seems flat out mental to me but it's all over this forum. In fact it may actually be the norm.

Have a dabble by all means but remain clear eyed about it. The people who do see past that will be only too happy to take the real deal off your hands.

that's a very large number and if there are people in this forum able to collect 60BTC for several years it's very amazing. I personally if I have 60BTC then what I will do is use half of my BTC to open own business and the rest I will hold it. still more can be done if you have 60BTC and it depends on what decisions you will make on your BTC. but the first idea you have to do is open your own job or own business. :)

keep holding half of bitcoin, sell some bitcoin for real investments, such as land, houses, apartments, etc. and take a few more bitcoins to start a new business. so overall you have everything. bitcoin, personal business, home, land, you already have. then enjoy the results. bitcoin trading to keep on living.

if I get 60BTC I will divide it into 3 parts. the first 20BTC I will sell and I will use to open a business and part of it will also be used for donations. then I will use 10BTC to do daily trading. so that I will get a small profit that I can use for my daily needs. and the last 30BTC I will hold. I will sell it when the price of bitcoin goes up by 50% -70% but then when the price goes down I will buy bitcoin again. but this is just a fancy who would want to pay with 60BTC I think this is impossible. ;D :D

Yes he should use it wisely, as he invested his time for 5 years working just for him to earn that much, so better to use it wisely as it is hard to earn but easy to spend and vanish if you don't use it wisely.

If I do that much money, will pay first all our debt, will save 30% for future, will retain the 30% for crypto holding and will invest in business those remaining 60%.

I will use the other half to invest with crypto. I believe that it will be the best thing that I can do for the fruits of my hard work. I will choose to invest in Bitcoin and Ethereum.

It is indeed a very huge amount at this time, perhaps, what I would do to the 60BTC is probably, to start my own mobile application that will utilize cryptocurrency wallet. Atleast, with the 60BTC I already have the balance needed to operate it. If whenever incase this 60BTC grows a bit more bigger, what I will do is to invest it in bitcoin ATM's in this case, I could help to increase the market adoption, at the same time, grow my Bitcoin and Assets.

a lot of people get stuck in the idea of Hold, they forget that even Hold has a big risk. what I can advise you Is the following:

take some of your bitcoin and do real-world business

take some of your bitcoin and store it in several real world bank accounts

there are several options to increase your bitcoin in the online world, yes they are risky options, but what in life is not risky? trade is riskier and more lucrative, creating a casino is risky because many hackers will be sabotaging you and it has government regulation issues, creating an exchange is lucrative but it has security issues and government regulation issues. everything is risky

This forum is littered with the dead bodies of people who thought they were geniuses by going balls deep into the most ridiculous propositions. Almost all crypto businesses fail. Almost all alts will die. Almost all traders fail. Almost all gamblers set all their money on fire. Almost all lending out finishes up with the money being stolen.
In my experience people don't want advice, they just want the choice they've already settled on to be affirmed by others. I can only offer my own observations and experiences of several obsessive years observing it all and they're listed in that post. If you have that much you must've been around for a decent time too and seen the endless parade of disaster.
outside of my own answer,

Yeah, can't remember where I saw it, but this week with that huge jump in price, it recorded it's biggest single-day swing (in both directions) since 2011. Can you imagine that?

So for anyone who keeps saying how late they are to the scene, if you can still break a record in 2019, you can be sure Bitcoin will break many more records in the years to come.

Stability? Why would we want that?;)

Exactly. I know it may be harder for other people who are new to the space but once you've endured a number of downtrends you become immune to all this FUD and panic. Bitcoin holders who held for more than 3 years become like those old soldiers on the battlefield who find time to eat, smoke, take a piss, while all the newbies around them are sweating and shaking and nervously looking around.

If I had money to buy 60 BTC that would be it. Endgame for me. Maybe I'd sell 10, buy a boat and sail somewhere warm to kill time while I hodl the other 50.

You are a pessimistic person. It's a good idea to HODL but that doesn't mean don't invest. Not all people end up with bad investments and you can't advice all to not invest. Some people do make profit. In my opinion it is not a good move to just let you bitcoin sit idle. One should always have the mindset of earning more and more even if they own 60BTC ::) I am not saying to fall for scams out there but use your brain and do some business and start something new, don't let it sit idle but do something. @60BTC I would prefer to diversify my funds, hence I would invest 25 bitcoins in freebitco and earn one bitcoin as interest each year. Then I would take 15 bitcoins and invest them in Bitdice CSNO tokens, and enjoy the dividends I’ll get for holding the tokens. With the remaining 20 bitcoins I would prefer to hodl 10 bitcoins and cash out the remaining bitcoins, and invest the sales money in various startups so my money keeps on growing.

Nope. Realistic and entirely empirical.

Your thread is about how to increase your BTC. Myself and a worryingly low proportion of others have pointed out that most methods are a superb way of decreasing it. The evidence is bellowing in one's face wherever you look.

If I'd attempted the same thing when I got rolling in 2013 I am extremely confident I'd have an awful lot less or nothing by now.

I've also said by all means risk a modest proportion of it. Go into it with no expectations and no panic and you might get a nice bonus or a salutory lesson. If the risk is managed correctly then it don't matter.

You're clearly going to do it anyway so I'll keep me gob shut from now on.

Hold it and wait that the price will increase when it will definitely increase, this is the best time to hodl Bitcoin, halving is coming, a lot of institutions are coming and creating their own coin, China is very bullish about blockchain, if I want something that I could get our every day needs I will withdraw a small amount maybe 10%, just enough to start a buy and sell business.

60 Bitcoins are a substantial amount. I think you can leave half of the funds for trading and half to spend on the implementation of Business. Although this is just my opinion, everyone decides in his own way.

Give it to me, I'll put it in an index fund that gets 11% per year, so you'll earn (if prices do not change) about 6 BTC every year, or half a bitcoin per month.

Basically, turn that crypto into fiat.

If you really want to keep it in bitcoin and alts, I have a couple of ICOs / alts I'd privately recommend to you; but there are no promises or guaranteed returns unlike banks in the fiat world. I hear banks have Guaranteed Investment Certificates, which are more like corporate bonds but the annual interest rate is closer to 1% or 2% per year, maybe 3% if held for 5 years.

You still haven't said what country you're in, so can't really recommend what institution you should send it to. I'd check here: https://global.vanguard.com/portal/site/home

If nothing else this thread is a fine demonstration of why most people don't end up wealthy even when it's sitting in their lap.

If I hadn't read the opening question I would assume it was 'how do I squander 60 BTC asap?'

If I have that lots of money it would be great if I try to invest half of it and I will buy a new house and other stuff with the other half. Because having that amount of money is not the end of the business, maybe one day we will need a lot of money and if we spend all of that, where do I get a money for a particular needs, so I am investing the half of it in some upcoming projects that are deserved to be supported, what do I mean of deserved? the projects that have capabilities of rising above other projects, I believe that there will be a project like that in the future and we just need to believe and support that particular project.

I mean if i buy alts that give dividends, will i earn more in long term compared to if i just HODL bitcoin? I think altcoins price also rise with bitcoin pumps.

but we cannot ensure that this Bitcoin value holding will be increase the altcoin market price. If I own some decent amount of Bitcoins I wish go with the ethereum and half the fund on EOS to make the profit at the time in coming days.
Or else we can hold the bitcoins alone directly and wait for it then you can make at there also.

I think the best way is to make a way that this fund will continuously run, like having a business. It is very important that if tou gain a profit, you need to atleast mantain it so that you will not become a one day millionaire. Use it in a strategic way, don't mind those materials things and find a way how does the money work for you. This is one of the strategies of those chinese businessmen that is why they became successful in business.

There is no need to invest those coins in any other place, you are already holding one of the best investments in the entire world, so there are only two possibilities in my mind about what I could do with that money, one is to hold those coins for the long term thinking of them as my retirement account, the second option that comes to mind is to use those coins to become a trader even if you are not the most skilled trader you could still outperform the market and obtain even more bitcoin in the future.

Still better to invest in a business that could ensure that you will still have a constant income. I would either invest in a property or start franchising some business or even make my own business. 60BTC is a huge amount of money but with poor financial management, it would only last for a year or two.

It would be better to just keep it as bitcoin and hodl. You would not need to worry since you are already rich. No need to invest it or try risk it to make more. YOu already will have enough. Just spend it and enjoy it. You can even convert some to fiat so you can do things you need to do and then keep the rest as bitcoin. You don't even need to buy any altcoins but you can if you prefer to diversify your investment a little. I would take 1 or 2 bitcoin and just play around with them on the market buying and selling different altcoins, sort of like a side investment/experiment.

Hmm... It's all about personal choice. For me, I would convert part of it to fiat while I leave the other part of it as bitcoin. Reason is because; as we are hoping and waiting that the price of bitcoin increases, it "could" decrease.

BTC60 is too high amount for me and enough already to buy a house, to make your own business and invest here again with bitcoin to earn more. House is really important to have especially if we have our own family already. I have a family but still, we don't have our own house, so having a house is really a big achievement we can have as a family. I also know a business that can make a good profit in the future so it is also a good investment for a business that I am thinking.

60 btc is very much in my opinion. if that happens to me, I will not retire from crypto but I will also not invest all the bitcoin that I have. maybe 50% I will use to stay here and the rest I will make an effort. I will buy a certain amount of land, and I will use it as housing and I will sell plots later. I think it is a very profitable business now and has a bright future. maybe it's my imagination. ;D

Here's what I would:

- Turn 10 btc into cash now and retire from my work. Use those money for daily expenses for the next couple of years.
- Use 10 btc to buy myself an apartment, if I don't have one.
- Invest 10 btc into some solid alts,  like BAT
- Invest the free time I now have to learn a new & useful skill that I actually enjoy. Ideally, something that might come in handy proffesionally when I run out of cash, like programming.
- HODL the rest in case btc moons hard

Please note that the advice above comes from the POV of a resident of a relatively cheap European country. If you are from the U.S. or something things are different.. For example, I highly doubt you can get an apartment with 10 btc with current prices ^_^

Alts have no guarantee, and almost always change in price relative to BTC very dramatically. Your BTC will always be BTC, but any BTC you change to DASH now, will be different in the future.

You could get a high return in terms of DASH, but when the time comes to convert it back to BTC the value may be much less than what you put in.

It depends how ambitious you are & what you want. If you simply want a house mortgage free then you can achieve that & probably a holiday home too. If you HODL for only another couple of years then with 60 BTC you will probably be set for life with ultimate financial freedom.

I am HODLING until 2021 at least.

As others say 60 BTC is already invesment and now you have to convert it to cash. Maybe I should use some of my money to buy a home so I can see what I have been struggling with for five years. And next is to spend time with my family for the five years I have endured. And many other things I thought,

And the rest I would just hold this to my safe wallet to wait for the increase in price for every Btc I hold.

This is the mistake that a lot of people make. Bitcoin itself is an investment asset. So what is the point in making an invest using it? Are you going to sell your Bitcoins and purchase some other asset (such as gold or stocks) using the proceedings? Two things needs to be remembered here. First of all when you will your BTC, capital gains tax needs to be paid on any profit resulting from it. And secondly, there is no guarantee that assets such as gold or stocks will be giving you a better profit when compared to BTC.

I would say this: just hold on to your coins for the next 5 years, and you'll be getting very good profit.

If i have 60 bitcoin then i will keep the 55 and for the rest i will buy an altcoin which is XRP, ETH, NEM and XLM which i think has more potential to increase their value by next year and buying in cheap will double or triple my profit.

And the reason why i will keep my 55 bitcoin is because the value is most likely to increase every so if will keep it on my cold wallet and wait for the market to go uptrend and sell if the value hits more than the all time-high and its a win-win situation and having a patience will reward you big in the future.

If I were to earn 60BTC, personally I believe that the best investment I could possibly make is to hodl BTC but instead of just holding it, I would be trading it instead, there is this unique way to do it that involves Stop-loss and a stablecoin preferably USDT because the pair usually has the biggest volume in exchanges, I would have just been day trading the BTC against usdt and be riding the flunctuations in price on a daily basis, this would ensure that when the market is rising, I would be profiting and when it's falling, i would still be profiting.

It is called an investment too, in each coin they will get a profit not at once and not to fast but they will. Top coins are good investment also, when bitcoin pumps they will also pump. This is my reason for my advice.

Do you not think 60BTC is already a milestone reached? Because for me, it is already a big win in the market, and growing it will not do me and the community any good. I just think of the concept of economy, we people use money, and what makes money healthy is when the money rotates to the society. I am not directly saying that we need to spend all of the BTC that we had, but it is quite better if we think of possible business out of it, and basically help those in needs through donating some to the charities.

I'll cash them out if possible. Depends on how old I am. If I'm still too young to retire (Like 30-40) I'd still invest them in a property or a real estate for sure money. Maybe take half of that in a bank for retirement and invest the quarter in stocks and of course Bitcoin. Then enjoy the quarter for the rest of my life. I don't really plan to work all my life and get so much money, I just want enough for my family and myself.

I think if you already have 60BTC it is already a good investment especially that is Bitcoin when we are investing in bitcoin we could get a big amount of profit but the thing is bitcoin already have a high market price so we can invest our money but we can't afford to buy a big volume investment of bitcoin because it cause thousands of dollars in the market. But in this scenario, if you have 60Bitcoin the best thing to do is to hold it until you get a decent amount to sell your bitcoin also 60bitcoin is not a small amount you could just cash out a small percentage of this money to invest in other business or investments.

if you have the ability to trade, do it. 60 btc is a very large and high-risk fund.
You should separate your bitcoin in several wallets and choose an exchanger that has a good reputation, especially in terms of privacy and security.

I think you should do option or future trading.
This way you can benefit from the rise or fall in BTC price and can multiply that too. But that involves risk. You stand to lose a lot too if trading is not done properly.
If you have a business idea, you can always pursue that as 60 BTC make up to $550k which is a decent amount. I don't think half a million is enough to retire and don't do anything. But if invested properly, it can give decent monthly income.

Maybe I will buy a buses and use as passenger bus so I will have a profit and my money will not spend that fast,or will have a restaurant since my mother loves to cook and so as my wife, they will be a good partners.

If I ever had 60 BTC along with the scenarios you had given then I would like to keep the half of it as a means of investment and extreme hold since I believe that Bitcoin's price in the upcoming years would surge extremely. While the other half, I would like to use it by creating a business of mine that would let me earn a passive income which would not really make me an active worker for the job. Building a rental space would be great idea or franchising even.

Withdrawing some cash, investing it into some hard assets like real estate or Gold and keeping some amount in the form of hard cash etc. I will  keep some amount as BTC only and will look for price appreciation opportunity. Suppose you earned 60BTC by working hard for 5 years and one day you decide now you don't want to work then what would you do with that amount?
How would you invest that amount? What will you do? Hold it dreaming the price will rise? Sell it and invest the fiat? or start a business? or retire? Any ideas?  :P
If ever I would get the chance to have 60 BTC, I would probably invest it on business. Supposedly it was through my 5 years of hardwork and patience, I wouldn't mind dreaming for a higher price anymore since I've been doing that for so long already. I would rather dream for my business to get bigger so that the money I would passively earn can help me and my family secure a suffecient and better life but still I would invest still on crypto so that I can extend my earnings and build a better future for myself.

60 BTC is a huge amount of money by that time for sure. As a habit, I would go to Casinos and give my fortune a try there but I wouldn't drain whole of my earnings there, I would do it for fun most probably. Cryptocasinos also can be a thing but I would prefer more going in real casinos since the gamble is cheaper there. I would also try running a business, one that involves the use of cryptocurrency so that I can help in revolutionizing the idea of using it all over the world. I want to help still the mean I had to be rich in any ways possible.

You could got a better answer if you posted this after the halving, this is not the right time to sell Bitcoin, halving is coming and if you know the history of past halving, you knew good price is coming our way, but if I earned that Bitcoin and the price has stabilized, I'll go for buy and sell maybe trade half of it, that's enough money to go buy and sell business at the current market price, I'll go for computer peripherals and gadgets.

If I have 60BTC, I will take half of it to be used as business capital and for living needs and facilitate it for the happiness and comfort of myself and my family in life and I will also share 2.5% for those who need it.

and the other half I will make a long-term investment with the reason I do not want to worry and panic that can interfere with the comfort of my life, and I'm just waiting for Bitcoin to reach the highest price so that I can enjoy the benefits I get for doing the same thing as before, and only the needs are different.

Oh God, 60 bitcoin is around $ 558,500, and that is a very big amount. even more so if we hold it in and the price increases :o
The first thing I thought of was creating a business that could maintain that balance. so that I have an income that always covers the use of money that I do, I need to build a big business, and invest in companies that have high potential to make greater profits, and provide a good enough income.

Thinking about using that kind of money to have fun first is not a good idea, I have felt this way, and I was wrong about that. my current thinking is raising capital to build a business.

I would put 30BTC in pure investment, that is, wait until the bullish trend arrives, I would allocate 15BTC to do long and medium-term trading, and another 15BTC would allocate them to diversify either buying gold and some stock from the Stock Market.

The reason for 30BTC in Investment is because it will always be a gain, no matter how long it takes, bitcoin will always exceed its last ATH every time.

The 15BTC to allocate to trading is where you would withdraw the profits from the movements to pay bills, trips in addition to the expenses of daily living, and always being alive in the market.

The other 15BTC would allocate them to gold and some other stock market action, just for being one of the tips they recommend in Malkiel Burton's book called "A random walk on Wall Street", which, financially, it is advisable to have some type of diversification

OMG, it's a lot of money, and the best thing, at least for me, IMO is to diversify
I would leave some percentage in BTC, invest in another kind of investment, here in my country we have some very secure investments, and I would buy a house or 2 to rent
And I would never work for money again, just for me personal development and satisfaction

Imagination is quite high and difficult to achieve if the value of bitcoin is as high now. If you want to be financially free then a good investment without the hassle of doing something is to make a deposit, where you can manage interest rates and inflation quite easily. In the current bitcoin rate, you can live simply until you die without thinking about money.

Bitcoins are an investment in itself .

If the price is really really high , I would encash and then invest in gold and other precious metals .

Or putting them in a bank would also do , some give you 7% per year and it's safe and secure

Also at the same time you could lend the money to someone ! This way you could easily be able to get 10% or something per year .

Stock market is too risky and shares are not a good idea.

I will retire if I have 60 BTC, I will open a shop in my city that only requires 10 BTC of capital. 50 btc leftover from that I will invest as my long-term investment. You can use these assets to buy some good Altcoin like LTC or BNB. Do not invest in just one coin because it is very risky.

For me to have saved that amount of BTC means it's either I'm single, living in a top country or I have another job I am doing.
Here are possible things I can do with 60BTC.
- Build a gambling site: cost of building a gambling site with nice interface won't cost more than 10,000$. Then I will put 10 BTC as a reserve in the bankroll
- Buy altcoins: we all know investing in crypto currency is very risky. So here is what I will do, I will set aside 20BTC and invest it on 20 different altcoins.
- Staking: we have a lot of exchanges and platforms with good returns for staking part of them is Nexo, Cobo, Binance and so on.

The amount I would set aside on for spending on myself won't be more than 2BTC. I know I worked for it, that does not mean I should spend it foolishly.

Staking with altcoin keep price on higher is better than we use for staking with shit coin, many exchange support for staking and XLM become profitable if I have 60 btc to stake there, maybe I will stake with 10 btc for xlm more than one year, I think XLM have the same price not increase down, last years XLM price look good with higher and staking become best solution to increase your 60 btc.

Majority of the responses are concerning to have their own business using the 60BTC, but my suggestions is for us to take into considerations to incorporate cryptocurrency to our business in a sense that, the commerce system of payment should be in crypto as part of our support to cryptocurrency adoption and as well as making the cryptocurrency market even healthier. I myself will consider to franchise a starbucks when they successfully implement cryptocurrency to it.

In my case I prefer putting half of it to local business so I don't have to worry in my daily needs and I will use the other half to buy the top 5 currencies and hold it for a long time.

If I have money for my daily needs then holding for how many years is not a problem anymore. I will set the selling price to x10 then cycle it again and again.

That's more logical if you are really into long term plans. Having your own business that you can established out from crypto currency will be less in terms of stress. Since volatility and fluctuations are unavoidable with the system crypto market have. Though it's always the investors points of view in regards to this matter. It's opinion base and own understanding of the industry that you are in to.

$540k is actually just few for someone who has plans to build a family of his own. He must have lots of plans in mind since he wants passive income. 60BTC is a lot to build a business for himself but the guy wants easy venture.  I can only suggest he waits for the ETH2.0 so he can stake his eth and earn while still have more BTC in his hand. Its just not assured of how much is to be earned though.

80% is really big house, but you should consider that you have to maintain it too, as well consider your daily expenses, so for me, will have my own traditional business first, then,  next once I established my own business, I will build my dream home, buying my dream car and will help my relatives to have their own business too. I will share it as much as possible, as I won't be that much happy, if I am the only one happy, so I will share it so we will enjoy it together.

I think 60 bitcoin was already a good investment the problem in investing in bitcoin was the bitcoin market price was already so high in the market and you cannot buy a big volume of bitcoin in the market because of the high price you would probably need a big investment if you want to do that. But since you already have a 60 bitcoin just holding your bitcoin, in my opinion, is a good investment already in the coming years the bitcoin market price for sure will pump as the community and investors is getting bigger. Also, you could invest a small percentage of your bitcoin in a passive income if you want to run a small business.

While for many of us 60BTC is a huge amount of bitcoins different people have different monetary standards, 60BTC is the rough equivalent of 560k dollars and while in many countries that will be a fortune in many other countries that is barely enough to buy a house and if you live in one of those countries then it is natural to want to obtain even more bitcoin while you can to make your life easier in the future and when take into consideration the price of bitcoin is still low then it makes sense to look for opportunities to multiply it to get even more benefits when the price of bitcoin surpasses its all time high.

I would leave part of it still in the wallet for future purpose because of the time that it will get to fir us to start using bitcoin as the main cryptocurrency, so that I don’t have to start buying cryptocurrency then at an expensive price, so if I am even still considering changing some of my bitcoin to fiat for other investment reason, I would still make sure that I have enough bitcoin, but the remaining part of It is strictly going to business.

One of my first choice of business is actually landed properties, that is more like going into real estate business, because this is one of the business that is really booming in my country, and after this, I will have one of the biggest fashions company in my country where I can even earn more bitcoin by accepting it as means of payment.

60 BTC is an investment! You can think about diversifying, moving some amount of bitcoins to some other investment, in the case you think that some other investment can bring you more profit, or that some other investment can be safer.
Each of us in different situation, if you don't have a home you will probably invest in that, you would buy some house, flat, whatever, or maybe some people have some other needs, many things can come before investing. Depending what you have what you want, its how you will spend those 60 BTC.
I know what I need to do with my bitcoins, I will keep some of them for sure, and some amount is always going to new alts, staking coins, or anything connected with crypto. If crypto did so much until now, there's no reason to doubt in the future, crypto is the best place for investments.

Real estate investment is a very good suggestion, as this business as been in existence for a very long time and has also really made so much money for those that invested in it, but I think that gold too would not be a bad investment, because it keeps appreciating just like the way landing asset do appreciate which I also think Is even easier to sell a gold compared to real estate.

For you to succeed very well in real estate, you must have a very strong marketing strategy because there are so many people that are also into the business, and unless you make your price extremely competitive, you might have your investment tide down for too long, but gold, you can sell it instantly at any time that you need your money without having to wait for too long to get it sold.

I will HODL, I will probably only use a little of my BTC to trade to altcoin which has a high trading volume, so I won't use BTC for something unnecessary, I think it's very difficult to have to retire with 60 BTC while the price is still cheap at this year it's under $ 10k

Of course, as any businessman, I would look to make further money, but one part would go to tangible assets, such as house, car, accommodation for families and prodigious needs. And the rest of me would probably be doing big sponsorships for popular brands, paying people if I'm not familiar with that type of business, later expanding my promotional campaign and living with that business and of course with my family.

60 btc

That's the biggest number for me, if 60 BTC is made into $ it's fantastic, for me it will be divided into sections.
1. 30 Bitcoin, I will invest in the long term, waiting for prices to go up as high as possible and then sell them.
2. 10 Bitcoin, I will make it for gold, gold investment futures.
3. 20 Bitcoin, I will make it as a business capital for the future, meaning business ventures such as cafes, restaurants or oil companies such as gas stations, diesel etc.

I think opening an oil company, with a budget of 20 Bitcoin is sufficient for the start. This business can be for long retirement levels.
I think this is what I do, if I have 60 Bitcoin.

having BTC is already a investing so what do you mean by INVES?

but since that's a big amount i think you can convert the 30 BTC to Fiat and invest in business that you love to do,since 30btc i already a huge amount that can give you good business if you can manage rightfully .

and the 30btc that remains in your wallet can be divided into 2 equal parts the 15bitcoin will serve as long term investment, can be 1-5 years or 6-10 depend on your desire holding, and the another 15 will diversify to 5 ranked coins next to bitcoin for semi long term or atleast 1 year holding.

Suppose you earned 60BTC by working hard for 5 years and one day you decide now you don't want to work then what would you do with that amount?
How would you invest that amount? What will you do? Hold it dreaming the price will rise? Sell it and invest the fiat? or start a business? or retire? Any ideas?  :P
If I would be earned a 60BTC after working around 5 years and I decided to not work and just rest for the rest of my life, I would definitely used the half of my bitcoin to invest into real estate business and I think this would be one of the best investments because as time goes by land and real estates are increasing it's price as the passes by and the other half I will just hold it until the very end of the day until the Bitcoin reach it's highest possible price.
Hold and investing it to some real estate properties would be good, or maybe you can just gamble your money for some fun but in my case I will just use the half to invest and the other half would be just over in my wallet.

But this is the thing, while investing in real estate is not a bad idea, which market do you think it has a chance to go higher during the next years the real estate market in your country or the market of cryptocurrencies? While it is difficult to completely assure this market will have a better performance than the real estate market that is the most likely outcome, and if that is the case by using half of your bitcoins to invest in real estate then you will be losing money instead of earning it.

Why have to selling all bitcoin if you have assets, why not hold if you have many bitcoin and wait when bitcoin break with higher price to sell, maybe if I have 60 btc I will use for holding and half using for investing on altcoin, I think better increase our bitcoin assets by investing with altcoin than hold bitcoin only.

If I get such Bitcoins, I will never convert that bitcoins to anywhere unless the market get settled. We may wait for sometime and convert the bitcoin at the time to fiat cash.
Later that might be I will go to invest on the best option in my sorrounding to make the best investment returns with the amount you do on it.
Same here, I don't think that I'll convert my bitcoin really soon. I'm just waiting the good moment to convert some of it to fiat otherwise I will wait till the price goes up. I'm sure that bitcoin price will grow up slightly in the next few months and maybe after 1 more year. I just want to hold and use a few of my bitcoin in some good investments, trading is a good choice though.

Sixty Bitcoins at $8000 apiece, it is 480 thousand dollars. The amount is not that big if you live in a country with high prices. You can open a small business for this amount and gradually develop it. But part of the funds, about 20%, I would reinvest in the most promising cryptocurrencies.

in fact, that is what I will most likely do. 60 bitcoin is too much, so holding it until it costs more than $ 12k would be better than turning it into another coin. bitcoin is the best coin of all crypto, and until now its development will lead to a better direction. So far, I see the choice of people holding bitcoin more than other coins.

hold your bitcoin for long term and when prices reach over 50000 usd per btc you can sell some or sell when prices rise over 100000 usd per btc. number of investors grow day by day .look to prices of past year no one expect this current level . so if you sell there is always who buy too . for this reason prices bitcoin will rise to high level more than this level much

As per me, the 60 Bitcoin is too high enough for me, so for me I would just rather hold at least 20 Bitcoin and cash out the 40 Bitcoins, then will do traditional business with it, I will put up business such as computer shop, lending company and small time groceries, I will also invest in real estate by buying some lands as the value of land is appreciated so I will maximize it.

indeed a large amount if investing with 60 btc. maybe it would be better if part of it is used for traditional business in the real world and the other part is to invest in crypto which aims to minimize errors if all funds are put into crypto investment

70 for real asset FIAT , business , retail etc.
30 for cryptocurrency ( BTC , ETH , BNB , XRP , XLM )
Why I'am just spend 30% because cryptocurrency have high risk including a country's legal regulations, the risk of damage to hardware software equipment that you use.

First, I would hold as much as possible in a secure non-custodial wallet for long term (5 to 10 years minimum), look at around 50%, so 30 Bitcoin
Second, I would take 5% of the remaining bitcoin (1.5 bitcoin) and trade it for some very promising altcoins that could also get good returns in the coming years.
Third, I would start traveling the world, and visiting cheap countries where money goes a long way. Sell whatever is holding you back, stop all monthly bills etc, and get away from it all. Use that money gained from selling everything to fund your first year abroad. Look at South East Asia (Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Srilanka). If you already have property that is paid off, dont sell that but rent it out while you are away.
While traveling, move from country to country traveling on the cheap. You can easily spend a year on a very small budget if you try.
When you do need cash, move some bitcoin to an exchange or bitcoin debit card in order to fund your lifestyle.
Every time bitcoin 100% gains in value, sell a bit more off the top to fund the world travels.

for me I will make the 50% of it in bitcoin , I mean I will not move the half of it, I will let it in that way because I do believe bitcoin itself is a great investment for long term, then the 25% will be on etherium since it is the #2 coin for me, the rest will be base on what they are rank on coinmarketcap so that I will not be mistaker on where do I put my big amount of money.

Well thats a huge amount that I can think of retiring already.

But I want to be wise by investing the half in crypto particularly to the popular coins, then I will use the other half to build a business.

In this way there's a possibility to grow my money so that my earnings are continuously coming.

60 BTC? Wow, that is much money, if you ask me. I mean, if I earned that and have it breathing in my wallet, I'll sell off like 50% and invest the fiat in real estate all over the world. Then I'll retire and have me a good time. One more thing, I'll donate 10% to various charities around the globe and set up a foundation for the less privileged.

I would invest in some small business.
Based on what I see most of the members will build a business if they have 60 bitcoin. It is a totally good idea to build your own business because it will become a passive income once it grows. I see other members thay they will hold the half of 60 bitcoin and in fact, having 60 bitcoin is a lot amount of money. I will also do the same where I will hold the half and the half will use to run businesses.

hold your bitcoin for long term and when prices reach over 50000 usd per btc you can sell some or sell when prices rise over 100000 usd per btc. number of investors grow day by day .look to prices of past year no one expect this current level . so if you sell there is always who buy too . for this reason prices bitcoin will rise to high level more than this level much

Bitcoin is totally good for long term investment that's why we should keep on holding until the price goes up again. If ever the price becomes 50,000 per bitcoin I guess many people turn into a millionaire. I still hope to have 60 bitcoin so I can have a bright future.

After thinking about it for some more time I think this is a good idea, even if I really believe that this market is going to keep growing diversifying your source of income is always good, that way instead of just earning money by the reevaluation over time of your coins you will get to use your capital to build a business and in the case your investments in bitcoin does not go as planned you can always rely on your new business to generate a constant stream of profits.

its good to invest in bitcoin but just holding all the 60 btc and wait for the price rise is not a good idea
price of bitcoin is not predictable sometimes price stay in the bottom for a month or more
and if that happens it is more likely you will sell bitcoin at much lower price.

The situations are very tough if you are not good in analyzing the market, you'll ending up losing your investment if you failed to anticipate and control yourself. Emotions is very important to overcome as a huge amount of loses can be experienced in a short span of time. But if you are willing to take the risk and you are good in making good judgement, then  splitting or keeping your assets and wait till the value rise back is really a good option to take.

I'd keep the 40 BTC in cold storage because I'm a Bitcoin believer lol

So it's an early retirement scenario right? Suppose that I sold the rest 20BTC right now @$7000 it means I have $140K. For a fixed income each month, I would invest $100K in government bonds which in my country has about 6%-8% APR, translating to about $700 per month in dividend which is about twice the minimum salary here and definitely enough for living. The rest of it I would invest in stock market. The return from the stock market either would be reinvested or used for vacation. Damn now I wish I had those 60 BTC, life would be nice lol

but properties are still related to investments or often called real estate investments  but unlike the ones that you mention where you are not hodling and you are not for selling the property which can cost less expensive later on due  to competition but instead you are using the house or you are renting it others which is still going to be indemand  . converting some of those btc would be a nice idea just to be safe from price declines  .

I would divide it into three parts. First part I would invest into real estate, because this investment will always give you a good profit, at least it will be stable. The second part I would try to trade, to use somehow on the crypto market in order to get some more. And the third part I would keep for holding, because I believe that someday BTC price may change pleasantly for holders.

I read at the neironix about investments, based on this information on good, it is necessary to distribute these assets in different assets, I would invest part of bitcoins in a really functioning business / real estate and lease it out, I distribute a small part in promising altcoins, which are now on day in relation to bitcoin, part would be transferred to reliable bonds with guaranteed income, and the main part would be left in bitcoins, as I believe that in the long run it will continue to grow further.

Just ask directly, what would you do with half a billion usd dollar?
It hugely depends on where you live. There are a lot of possibilities to spend that money in a wise way. For example in some countries you can buy up to 7 amazing apartment up to 100m square and then rent them while in USA, Great Britain and similar countries you are very limited to do that action because apartments there are very expensive.
You can also start official bitcoin exchange service with partners and etc if you live in small country. You can buy bitcoin ATMs and set them in your country. You can buy miners and mine bitcoin or altcoins. You can also make datacenter and start hosting business by letting others to host their servers in your datacenter.
See how many ideas can be just written so quickly. Think well, business depends on your country because demand on things, products and services is very different from not only to country to country but also from city to city.

If I had 60 BTC, I would still invest in bitcoins but not all of them I invested. First I will enjoy the money to buy a house and car as well as land for gardening and I will be planting fruits and vegetables so that the results can be sold. Then about 30 BTC I will not take and I will still invest it. Maybe some will I invest in altcoins too.

You don’t invest it anywhere, you simply hold on to it. Ever since the first block was mined if you zoom out & look at a price chart, over time it goes one way & that’s up.

Why risk investing in anything when all you have to do is HODL, do nothing & by the end of 2021 the price will be at least treble what it is now.

Do some research on bitcoin S2F (stock to flow).
