Listed for $150,000 USD and in person trade (Texas).

Compares Casascius coins selling for 100k to justify price.. doesn't include that those are 10BTC / 25BTC coins and that this is 1BTC. Looks to be very nice condition, awaiting Krogoth's opinion here.

Edited to add verification photo.

OP the previous sales have been 1.7 BTC, and I think 2.3BTC. $150,000 is way too much. Agree with teeGUMES, I will wait for the bitbill expert Krogo to chime in.

Here I'll save us all some time

1)  Hi Foobar, welcome to the forums.

2)  We have a rule where we only deal with the actual seller directly when discussing rare items.  Please provide proof that you have the item in your possession by writing your screenname + date on a piece of paper next to the item

3)  If something is for sale in this section, a buyer must have the option to buy using only BTC.  Is that possible in this situation?

4)  If TeeGUMES is accurate when he says the list price is $150k, you are painfully overpriced.  While the item is rare and desired, it's not *that* rare I'm afraid.

Best of luck!

This Bitbills looks in great shape....I have seen Bitbills go as stated previously at 1.7 , 2.3 and as high as 2.7 privately.

The market shall dictate what the price of the Bitbills will go for and true price shall be found. In this market, things are very bearish so let us see what happens.

Let's go one step further.  Please write most recent block #, and the last 6 or 8 digits of the block hash.  As was correctly brought up elsewhere this could be exploited in the future if people rely only on date + photo

If not, the mods will step in and likely remove the thread.

I am not allowed to say I am happy to accept bitcoin. The nature of the posting is that it will be paid in person, so not sure how they would enforce, but regardless, not allowed to say that per ebay policy...

If you are planning to try and sucker someone on eBay, stick to eBay... but how we do things here is go through trusted escrows, which Minerjones is the most popular one here for collectibles such as this.

It simply won’t go for $150K on here though.

Edit: also it doesn’t really matter which payment method you wish to accept, as long as you and the buyer are happy with the terms of the deal and escrow is in agreement if buyer and seller want to use escrow (which, since you are new... the buyer will probably want to).

I would prefer to use Krog as escrow, but buyer would be responsible for airfare for seller to NYC for physical handoff to Krog.

Thats perfectly fine. Just consider taking offers through PM on here and once a price and terms have been settled make sure you include Krogothmanhattan into the messaging process. If you're eager to sell this you will receive a fair offer here but nobody is going to take to eBay to contact you. There is less run around here on the Collectibles board as someone such as Krog can easily spot a time waster and we can leave negative trust/take the necessary steps to stop it from happening again.

I would do an auction only with a starting bid of 2.5 btc. If anyone indicates they would make such a starting bid, I will start an auction if no better offer is made via ebay in the next 5 days.

You never know till you start the auction. My guess, based on the condition of your card, someone will surely do so.. Also there is no loss if you start the bid at 2.5BTC.

I gave you a merit for posting a picture with the block hash. Thank you.  It's not easy starting out here, and finding a price to settle on.  My advice is to not rush into anything, and don't let the "price commentary" get to you.  Eventually you will figure out what this piece is worth and you will find a buyer, but it will most likely involve BTC and escrow with someone like Krogothmanhattan or MJ if it's brokered over the forum.

Thanks, yeah I knew people on this forum were a bit extra.

I would love to broker some form of trade for like 1 casascius and 2 btc or similar so I still have a loaded collectible in case btc moons.

Yes, it appears I was misled by a number of articles that stated it had sold for 100k. I will update the ebay listing, and that's why I dropped the price to 50k.

Your most likely buyers are trying to help you sell this, by pointing out the most realistic way to find your maximum price where you can still sell, would be via an auction ... hint hint

Absolutely, and I continue to adjust the listing as feedback comes in. I really appreciate the communities feedback.

I want to give people an opportunity to buy in fiat, it is the first chance anyone has had to do so AFAIK.

I am in no rush and think it is a good deal at 50k USD, so will leave it for a bit.

I know op isn’t in a hurry but really!!! The queen of bitbills has spoken, these bad boys sell from 1 to 2.?? btc at max!
Not sure how op expects to get a deal of 50k or 5-6btc, dreaming.
The thing is if op listen to the feedback and opened their eyes, right here right now this bill would sell at a
Honest price, leaving the seller and the buyer with a very fair deal. But it seems greed has got the seller.

I’m happy to raise my pm offer because I’m very Interested in this bill but op is quickly killing his potential buyers by being so out of touch with reality. Also OP just being a decent human you would reply to pm offers and not ignore people interested in what your trying to sell here.

Hit me up when you wake up to yourself mate.
All the best with the sale mate.

Everyone is hating on this new forum member, who is trying to sell an extremely rare piece in very good condition.  We all want this piece.  They are just here trying to come up with a price and learn along the way.  They've already said that they will take a single Cas (valued at 1.2ish) plus 2 BTC.  So now we're at ~3.3 bitcoin if you're smart and want to actually buy this.  Or you can choose to be an asshole and focus on their highest ask price.

They have been polite. They have taken in a lot of hostility.  They have done everything requested of them except lower the price to something "reasonable" by the standards of the peanut gallery.  A lot of this is semantics, but I don't see how you can criticize someone for wanting to get the best price possible, and who doesn't know the current price market.

What if this was a family friend of someone's collection who passed away? Bullying them into a particular price point makes everyone here look like an asshole.

Strongly agree with the last post. Theirs no Bulling  going on, just a firm reality check, which actually should be helping the op to come up with a real price.
Sure if I bought in 2009/10 and was rolling in coin I’d throw them the offering price for shits and giggles but in this day and age that dosnt happen anymore.
Feed back has been laid down with a very fair ballpark asking price for this bill, however it seems to be ignored. Collectors, buyers and fans have laid down the going price, so I suppose we wait and see.

Op any offer you can prove is legit I’ll beat it! Hit me when your legit wanting to sell.

Cheers Aussie

Call me asshole all you'd like.... but the fact remains that this new forum member is ignorant.  I understand wanting the most for an item (as we all try to do), but if several high ranking members came into my thread and gave me sales FACTS about an item and then I stated I'd drop my price to 2-3 times what I told was the HIGHEST amount I could get.  I'd deserve the grief.
The OP's laziness shines plenty as well.  Maybe do a little research before you put up ridiculous sales prices.... or after you get a wake up call about your ridiculous prices...... or after trusted forum members tell you what they have sold for in the past...... NOPE!!! They just blindly put up another ridiculous number!

I can not do a pay it now @ 50k apparently, but I was told there is an option to contact the seller.

Someone complained about lack of responses, I can only respond to two people per day thanks to forum rules on here unless I pay for a copper membership, which I will not be doing. I have responded to the best offers and requests for information.

I will likely take down the listing soon and just wait a year or two to see when someone else auctions another bitbill.

I really appreciate everyone who was civil and polite  :)  Thank you for being decent people, and to everyone else, I wish you the best of luck scamming some idiot out of a bitbill for 2btc before they realize the real worth.

Not true....   btc price is lower than it was 2 years ago, and the premiums are smaller than they were then.

Your right, that's even worse on the premiums.

Hey Bud, just a suggestion..why don't you take a look at past auctions here for Bitbills? You can easily see what they sold for.  An offer of 2BTC ( a $9,000 premium ) is NOT ripping someone off.  If I remember correctly the last BitBill auction sold for around 1.8BTC or so (again, something you can look up).  You're new here so I'm not sure you've got as good of a grasp on pricing as some of the veterans members do. That's not a knock on you what so ever, simply stating people around here know exactly how much these are worth/sell for.

Best of luck !

Hello,
We all understand where you're coming from. You have an item that appears to be a very nice and desirable item no doubt about that. I'm relatively new here myself but I've found this community to be over the top helpful so if you were to just do a bit more research and ask a few people(perhaps just the people who you feel have been more on the kinder side if you're more comfortable speaking with them if it helps) most everyone here will be glad to give you their input. From there you can take in everything you've heard and most importantly what you've dug up via past auctions and selling prices and compare that with the price of BTC on the day they sold etc...All I'm saying here is everyone here is legitimately trying to help you and not scam you. This community values their reputation far more than pulling off a quick scam. Do many people want your item for as cheap of a price as possible? Of course they do just like you seek maximum value but that's where just doing your own research and seeking this community's input puts you in the best of places. Then once you have enough data either look to sell it or hold on because it's not quite worth what you had hoped for and check back in a year or so etc...No harm no foul and you learn alot about a valuable item you own which you're clearly looking to sell whether it be now or tomorrow year etc...All the best.

PS: You really should consider buying a copper membership since it's far more valuable to be able to reply to very serious people/inquiries here etc...Surely it's more valuable than the cost of listing your item on eBay. It's a very high value item and the least you could do is give yourself the best opportunity to communicate with as many people as possible. Just my opinion. Good luck!

OP, keep in mind that the BTC price was a lot lower at the time of these sales. The value of 1 BTC is still 1 BTC but the value of the BitBills card will not have stayed pegged to bitcoin.

I don't think you're going to find anybody willing to pay more than ~1.4-1.5 BTC and that's very high end. Transvestite Lamb's 1.137 BTC offer is where I would start an auction.

I don't think you're going to find anybody willing to pay more than ~1.4-1.5 BTC and that's very high end. Transvestite Lamb's 1.137 BTC offer is where I would start an auction.

Research..... such a novel idea!! ;)

Yep....SatoshisGhost nails it. Bottom line is that's the landscape you're facing which again isn't hard if you just did a bit of your own research but since you didn't SG did it for you. If you're not happy with that then wait it out, but the research says it all.

I'll bet you ANY amount of money (fiat or crypto) that my 5-6BTC (that I'm not spending on this ridiculously overpriced bitbill) will be worth more than your loaded 1BTC bitbill in 2 years from now.... 5 years from now....... and 10 years from now.

SMH and a face palm for your logic!
