If someone has 60 BTC can he start a decent crypto business to make passive income? Please share some business ideas.
What would you prefer? Casino/Sportsbetting/Wallet/Exchange and which has the highest earning potential?
Provided i have funds - 60BTC and no knowledge regarding business and i am not a designer but i want to start my own crypto business. Where can i start? Where can i find and hire team for myself like designers/developers etc to start my business? I know good team can help the business grow but bad team can ruin everything so what are the things to look for before starting a business? Where to get the business partners with good ideas and genuine team? Where would you start from if you are in my situation. Please share your opinions in this thread  :)

I personally believe trading is more risky more like a gambling and if my business get's successful i can make a decent amount of money. I just don't know where to get the genuine team and partners and what would be the best niche.

if i have 60 bitcoin i will divide it into 2 parts, 30 bitcoin for crypto business and 30 bitcoin for real business for example for property business, for crypto business I prefer trading than others.

There is a lack of a professional exchange with derivative products that works flawlessly and is made in a professional manner. You see that all exchanges have some sort of bugs, etc. Bitmex has that server overload "bug", Deribit just had an index problem liquidating traders' orders, etc. If you can gather a team of experienced, motivated developers and a management & legal team you can make big fortunes, BUT you need to hurry because Bakkt and CMEs will probably open their services to retailers next year as well.

Don't expect a passive income yet if you are not successful in your business. Having a business doesn't mean you will have a passive income already. You will have to work hard for it too before you can get to the passive income that you are talking. It doesn't mean if you have a lot of money you will become successful in your business/company. You still have to work for it until you reach your goal and that's the success.

You can choose what's the best business for you with your Bitcoin. It is either you do the short-term trading or choose a long-term investment. Having a 60BTC can make you rich already but it would be better if you invest some of it for a long-term investment.

The complexity of creating a team makes the project risky. However, if you have money, you can buy everything and hire elite team, or buy a franchise at such casinos (however, I have not checked if it exists)

If you use good tools, monitor chart 24\7 and use a high-quality hardware wallet, then trading makes sense. Just imagine, you earn extra-big revenue in a few clicks. Yes, this requires brains, but I do not think that a stupid person will own 60 Bitcoins, right?

Why does it have to be a Crypto currency based business? I can think of plenty of businesses that you can fund that are not Crypto currency

related that would give you a passive income. You can buy existing businesses that are for sale and get an accountant to scrutinize the books and

then continue with that business. You do not even have to run the business yourself, you just hire a manager to do it on your behalf. It will take

some effort in the beginning to get a reliable manager and a good business opportunity, but after that it should be much easier. If you want, you

can convert the income back into Bitcoin, if you still want to be invested in Bitcoin.  ;)

If someone has 60 btc right now he should keep them for the next bull run and then cashout like 10 of them and start a nice business , maybe even based on blockchain or cryptocurrency. At this price its risky to cashout 60 Bitcoin to start a business as you take more risks when you start something fresh instead of simply keeping Bitcoin for another 2 years ...but hei , its the holder choice , I just express my opinion.

You always have the option to buy some masternodes and keep some passive income that you can convert them back into Bitcoin in time , that is a business as well.

Because if start a business in real life with fiat, earning potential is less. Crypto business will give me return in crypto only and crypto price in future will further improve that return   ;)

Starting a business and hiring a team means you are putting your the success of your plans to the team who might not be the right guys to hire. My suggestion is that you learn the trading instead and treat it like its your daily business. Buying and selling could be easy while the market is starting to build up. Don't put your risk your fate to someone else.

That is most definitely true.  Even people who own established businesses like restaurants and the like still end up having to do work to maintain the business.  It isn't like they just sit back and collect the money.

OP, I think you're thinking about your 60BTC all wrong.  Instead of considering it to be startup money, why not just treat it as an investment in itself?  The only real passive income I've seen in crypto is with staking coins like NEO and some others.  Even mining isn't a passive thing, since you always have to be paying attention to what's going on.  Investing in a gambling site might do the trick provided the site is legitimate, needs stakeholders, and doesn't require you to do much.  I don't know much about things like that but I know people who've invested in online casinos.

Not necessarily. With that mindset, you could end up with the same results by using your fiat profit to buy bitcoin/cryptocurrencies, if you're really THAT bullish with cryptocurrencies. It just completely depends on the business and how you handle it, regardless if it's a business that handles fit or crypto.

With that said, it's pretty hard to answer your questions. It simply depends in soooo many factors. It's almost like the classic question of "should I get a job or start a business?". We don't know what your skills are, what country you're in, what your target demographic is, what connections you have, etc. So much factors that it's impossible to get a rough answer to your questions.

These businesses are expensive to set up and run especially you have no experience and will have to hire professionals to do it for you. 60BTC might not be enough to fund it.

I suggest you do a traditional business like small restaurants or groceries but accept cryptocurrencies as payments. Or start a business that you are already familiar with. Most entrepreneurs build their business around their hobbies. That is more likely to succeed than forcing yourself on an already saturated niche.

This seem to be a better idea than setting up an online business which this 60BTC may not be enough while the risk is much higher than the cost to build it.  An offline business would be a better option for you. If I were in the situation, I will probably buy a rover and convert it to a hotdog and burger stand that I can drive to places and accept crypto as pay.

If you have no prior experience is setting up or running a crypto business, then probably it does not worth to risk 60BTC. Better, you should take the investment route. I would suggest the following...

With the current rates, 60 BTC is equal to around 528,400 USD. That's a lot of money, and you should probably try forgetting about trading/gambling and ways to make money that don't involve an actual business, your capital is enough to ignore that option and focus on one of the best things you can have in life, which is a constant passive income, which is a set amount you would earn per week/month/year.

This depends a lot on your ideas, and what you want to do with crypto, but I can't speak for you and the best way for you to do anything here would to just be via a lawyer. Sit down with one and they will help you plan your money and transform your idea into something real.

of course i think they will use 60 btc to start a business but before you start you need to have more experience, so you don't suffer losses because we know that business can make us happy or vice versa if we don't know the right way to start a business especially when doing business with crypto, but if for me personally I would use 60 btc to trade because I thought it would make a very big profit.

60 BTC is quite a huge amount of money to invest into crpytocurrencies as an individual but not enough to run a project and sustain it unless you plan on conducting an ICO or IEO in the near future. I would rather take a quarter of the amount of bitcoin and do day trading with it whiles investing into some solid crypto projects on the long term basis.

Since you don't have enough knowledge about business, I think you should do some research first and learn things because it will be difficult for you to start your business if you don't eve know the basics. If I will have 60 amount of Bitcoin, having an small online casino could be an option. Creating your own wallet could a good option as well. You are missing the point, you can still convert all or most of the fiat you earn through this fiat based business into Bitcoin and still pay your

manager and other expenses in fiat and then decide how much of the rest of the money would be converted to Bitcoin. Remember there are a lot

of regulatory rules and regulations that you need to adhere to for any business and in most countries Bitcoin has not been accepted as a currency

yet, so you will have to find ways to bypass this to be able to run your business. We have not even touched the tax regulations yet and all the

To be honest, If I have such a huge amount of BTC, I will only use a little amount for trading and the rest I'll use it on business outside crypto. of course, we need to diversify the investment even outside of the crypto industry. You can also make a store that accepts Bitcoin to further support the use of bitcoin in your area. If you invest in some kind of IEO or ICO, don't invest a big amount, just a fragment from that huge amount will do.

I will also do your suggestion about dividing your 60 bitcoin into 2 parts. Bitcoin is very valuable coin in the world of cryptocurrency and I know some of people also use bitcoin in different businesses. In addition, trading is also a good source of passive income but it is not easy even you have good capital. Trading takes time to learn and it is hard to do technical analysis if you are newbie. So for me, I will use some of the bitcoin to make a good business just like having convenient store. Lastly, I will not use all of my bitcoin in making business and maybe the rest will be held in my cryptocurrency wallet.

It's better to have passive income than speculative like in crypto, I prefer to invest it too in things that interest me like real estates. I would always invest into property, rather than some business. Businesses fail, land or property does not. It's a good way to secure a future, as you never know what might happen to a business, or even to a currency, for that matter.

If I were to have 60 bitcoin I would invest it straight through coin staking the only investment I think is profitable specialy with staking known and trusted coins out there online. Your idea will be risky since you mentioned that is if you have no knowledge in designing and would hire a team to start your business. And if wver you will start your own business in crypto there had been plenty of gambling sites, wallet, coin that are created every day and it might even drain your funds developing your business and paying someone to develop it.

In my personal opinion, if I have 60 btc, I might just invest on a business outside crypto. It's more stable. And I will leave some to invest in crypto.

I think everything has its own risks and what if that much capital is used to build a business with a long term for example building a home business or renting a house in a strategic place and you can have lots of money every month because when many people rent your house then will get money every month.

60 Bitcoin is quite immense amount indeed and probably enough to create your own crypto business. However, it would hardly to create a business if you have no idea where to get a team. In this world it is better if you will create a team that is credible and could do the job properly. This place is full of deception so if you have no enough knowledge regarding with these things then your 60 BTC might be place in vain. To start with you must gather information as much as possible, make a plan or a roadmap for guide. The best option is let's just not limit our business in crypto, perhaps you could use the fund to buy stocks in the market.

If I have 60 BTC I will divide into 2 parts. the first part of 30 BTC I will hold, because the price of bitcoin ' will continue to rise and

Instead of putting all eggs into one basket I would like to divide my investment if I had 60 BTC. I will not prefer to develop something which can consume all my 60 BTC. I would like to keep some percentage in hard assets like Gold, real estate on anything else which can give my backup incase my startup fails. I would think of starting something which can be started within 30 BTC like developing an app or anything, max 5-6 BTC will be kept as buffer incase cost of development exceeds the primary calculation and before putting money into it I would like to study my idea and make a roadmap of it.

If you think your business can make more than 15% per year, you could try that, with the associated risks. If not, you'd be better off putting it into real true passive fiat investments outside of crypto, you could get as much as 12% doing absolutely nothing but watching the funds. Most people who do index investing don't even look at their portfolio every month.

There are already so many crypto exchanger and creating a quality trading platform,you need more than 60 Bitcoins as in more.
maybe if i have the knowledge and the right people to partner with, i think creating a crypto wallet would be my choice.

If I had 60 BTC I wouldn't invest it in a business I didn't know how to run. It's better to hold on and wait for the price to go up. Because I'm more sure that it'll be safe if it's just in my hands. And also hassle that when hiring a staff member you know it is not really a joke to make a bitcoin wallet or exchange a big investment is needed.

The possibilities are almost endless with such amount of money. If I had that much I'd simply trade it. With that amount I'd be able to make 100k USD per swing, so I'd probably put half of it on a decent exchange and day trade all of it. The other half would be my retirement :D

If you really want to start a business there's some good options for you:

Buy real estate in a popular tourist location. A small hotel in the Swiss Alps, build some bungalows on a a popular beach like on one of the Greek islands or in Australia. It all depends on where you want to live. Having 60 BTC you could buy big yacht and offer people trips like sailing around the Pacific islands. If you prefer to live in the city buy apartments in a popular tourist destination like Paris or Rome. Some places will always be popular.

Casino and exchanges are hard businesses actually. And it's a big risk to use your 60 btc on this kind of business when you still don't have team to work with. Find first someone you can work with before deciding what to make a business. But since it's a big risk, why not just create another business idea but still into crypto. Something like online shops that will accept crypto then you can sell some crypto or bitcoin merch. I think that's more realistic, though the profit might not be big compared to others.

I'd keep most of it in Bitcoin because no business will give you a potential for 500% profit a year. Normal rate of return for a business is maybe 10% a year, 20 if you're good at what you're doing and it booms.

Bitcoin can give you in 1 year what you'd need to work for a decade. You could be dead by then! In this life it's all or nothing. Go big or go home.

I think it's better open a real business with this high amount of btc. 60 bitcoins are really a huge amount, like you can do a lot of stuffs with me and invest them in a lot of fields. First and foremost, do not be in a rush to start your own crypto project without having any idea in a startup a particular business.  I will advise you to rather invest or buy a share in a well-established crypto project to avoid losing money.  It will be better to invest in already established businesses rather than creating a new project considering the current state of the crypto ecosystem.  Considering your post, I see you as someone that has no idea to start a crypto project which will be successful.

There probably are a lot of projects with good teams behind them that fail to take off. Crypto isa lot of times abut hypd and many people invest in projects that make a lot of noise. Marketing should be your top priority. If i have that much asset though, i wouldn't plan on pushing all of it in crypto. I don't think there is business that giving passive income like you want.  Even if, you need first to put A LOT of work to set it up, sometimes through years to get passice income with minimal effort.
So without some knowledge, some hard work its not possible even with such big amount of money.

If I would be given a chance to earn and have a 60 bitcoins then I will start a cryptocurrency business then I will start a gambling or casino because in casino it is more easier to earn because when you are talking about casino it talks about millions and hundred thousand of money. Gamblers will still play no matter what happens and also as long as they have money they will still pay to gamble and have fun.

I would invest in any business.

Wanted the bitcointalk community opinion what to do with 60 BTC as i am still kinda confused.

On that budget you can start almost anything but without any prior knowledge I think starting anything on crypto space can be dangerous for you.

Bitcoin mixer - You Might get caught by authority and need experience to operate
Bitcoin exchange - Need to start small and have to spend thousands of dollar on ads and rewards during start without any guarantee of profit in future
Bitcoin wallet - Hard to make any money but will have great responsibility of fund security and other legal obligations

I think its better you first start something small hiring a team from freelancing platform on contract basis, if you get some success proceed to make it big or if you fail learn from it and move to next venture.

I think that all of these need to acquire license to operate to the country you had been living on. You are just basically evading the authorities if you’re doing it like that. Also, honestly with the aforementioned possible business to invest, it is better to think of a new business rather than competing with the reputed mixers, exchangers and wallets.

If I were you, I would forget about establishing those projects for now that we are having lack of interest of users, as you see that most project that are being established are really not making it that much as far as it involves cryptocurrency, many people prefer to use the old coins for both payment and for investment purpose only.

Since you have that amount of bitcoin, I would just advise that you keep it in a fixed deposit first where you will not touch it and then take some time off to engage some quality traders that would train you fully in trading your coin, which if you know how to trade very well with necessary skills, you could be making $50k every month with this currency market situation, so I would advise to you take trading business up.

Well, that depends on where you're living. In my country, that's a lot of money and you can use that start a big business that will turn you into a really big billionaire in the future. But the kind of business you're mentioning, that wasn't what I had in mind. If I had that much I would go into farming and being an investor. Farming is really big business, even if I want I can still not be a farmer but invest in most farming business here that would bring me 20% to 40% in four and six months. So imagine that invest $100,000 in one of these farming businesses and get 40% in six months that's extra $40k. Unlike most investments, you will see. Clothing is another good one.

But from the ones you have mentioned, the exchange is a big competition; you have Coinbase, Binance, Bittrex, Bitfinex and a lot of them to compete with. Betting and sports are also a big competition unless you have the money to sponsor ads and promote the sites and so something unique. You can still try your luck. But make your choice wisely.

What kind of Business do you know? Some will advise you to run a casino or sports betting site or maybe run an exchange but question is do you how to run those because if not, don't even try because there's a high chance that you will fail. Put that BTC in a business that you know. If you wan't to be safe, with that amount of money, you can buy a franchise of a known fast food chain and money will come to you.

By the way, the idea of a franchise is the safest investment of 60 Bitcoins among all the above options. I like buying a franchise, it does not require as much knowledge as, for example, to open your exchange

60 btc with no knowledge how to build business related to cryptocurrency could be so danger because starting bussines with no knowledge similar such as gambling so you can lost your money in the short time however in my view the business should be based on your passions and your own interest and it's necessary because with from the passions we can more excited to do it

i would rather to use that 60 bitcoin for LEnding services because i know there are many borrowers here in cryptospace,but i will choose limited borrowers because there are tons of scammers here in this forum so i will prefer having collateral than lending without any specific assurance not unless the one who will borrow are trusted person of this community.

60 Bitcoins is a big amount of money and you don't need to invest all of that in business. Keep something as a long term investment.
If I were at your place I would invest in some real life businesses, not online virtual business. The type of business also depends a lot of country you live in and what is your knowledge and experience about any business. From my perspective and place where I live construction companies are very profitable as well as ICT startups.
I wouldn't suggest that you start lending business, it's too risky and too big chances for potential losses.

If I were you, I will hold 50 bitcoin in a hardware wallet, and use 10 btc to trade. I don't want to build a new crypto business because I don't know how to get a good team to build that. But I can try to trade with that 10 btc, and I guess that I can increase the bitcoin amount because I see that the market now is good for trade. Here is my little advice, 60btc is not enough to start a proper exchange especially if you will not launch an ieo or any type of fund raising first so you can take it out to your choices. I think you should invest offline. You have not told us your skills and your post is not as detailed as ot should be in order to filly understand and help you. I think invest in a local business or perhaps something you are good at you can try out. You want to be able to have a partner or something and you do nothing and just get interest. I wonder what is the feeling if you could see the conversion of money amounting to 10BTC in the market with huge volatility. For me, trading this huge amount of bitcoin will be a though job. You need allot of calculation or else, you will conduct a long term trading of bitcoin to ensure a great profit. You could invest in running your own business, or enter the world of properties (lands) which appreciates in value, but all of which requires hardwork.

well, I will split them into 4 parts.15 BTC for investing in property or in offline business,15 BTC in gold as an investment and 15 BTC for trading cuz trading can give a nice amount of returns if play with proper strategy and rest amount will be moved in paper wallet for few years.

I have a lot of business ideas in my mind but executing them is hard for me because the problem always lies on the fund. How rich you are already, I think you don't need to start a new business in this system, if I were you then I would divide into two part of this amount, I would like to withdraw half of this portion in order to invest in buying some land and another portion would invest for holding for a long term period, I think land business and Bitcoin holding are both profitable and less risky in this current situation, but I know a lot of people suggest you invest for the exchange creation or Blockchain-based project and so on.

I would not get real estate itself to hold and rent out. I'd be more inclined to invest in a real estate business or buy some REIT instead. Much less headache, sorta stable income, almost like dividends. Speaking of dividends, I'd maybe put that into some oil pipelines. Those things have at least 6% to 7% (per annum) dividends paid monthly.

If I was you I'd probably go for buying real estate because it's like an amazing investment which we all know that real estate will be more expensive over the years, I'd probably save more money to use them to trade or just thinking of the long term holding of bitcoin.
