Title: Bitcoin scams and new Bitcoin users
Post by: ralaks on November 18, 2019, 11:06:41 PM
After the boom of bitcoin in end of 2017 it caught eyes of general audience and many people who thought it as a great investment opportunity bought bitcoins and this is now continuing more and more people with little technical knowledge joining the bitcoin community it was essential to happen this for bringing bitcoin in mainstream but with that this made this era paradise for scammers every day many scams come into existing now their number are growing faster and they target people with less technical knowledge of bitcoin they are likely easy to get scammed some of common scams the scammer pulls are :

1. Cloud mining scam where they make users to invest in their cloud mining and give them a very small % of their amount daily and also encourage them to bring more members so they can get extra rewarded after a time when deposit amount starts to slow down and withdrawal amount starts to increase then their threshold they simply vanished.
2. Multi level marketing scam this work as from oldest days just invest an amount bring two more make your own tree and earn rewards starting ones in this scams who are able to get many other people always get profited and 99% of members who are in down ranks get scammed they do the same when incoming amounts slow down and outgoing amount reach a certain threshold they simply vanish.
3. The seed hack scammers are approaching people saying we will teach you how to make 100$ in one hour and you need to give it to us most common people don't know about seed and put their btc in online wallet such as coinbase or blockchain so scammer get their screen shared and make them transfer their btc in a wallet such as electrum and got their seeds screenshots open their wallet in their own computer and transfer the amount people had no idea what struck them .
4. Investment scams deposit x amount and get x amount this is the most common type of scams getting all over the internet it is a small amount scam usually people don't mind to fell in it by giving 5-50$ of amount to these scammers .

These are some examples of classic scams affiliated with bitcoin and cryptocurrencies as bitcoin community is in main stream these types of things confuse people by saying bitcoin is a scam and what ever they try to do with it they ended up in the scam. With their less knowledge about bitcoin it is nearly impossible to make them understand that they are victim of classic scams and it is nothing to do with btc but for these scams they cant go any where or report it they feel vulnerable in using cryptos many individuals trys to point out some scams which get into main stream but this thing need to be done as a collective effort. I propose to have a plat form for normal people teaching them basics of bitcoin as a 9 year could understand all this. because community platform like bitcoin talk have a way to much advance topics which confuse or scare the new non technical people .

My co-worker easily fall for that cloud mining scam. She invested minimum amount with their package deal and promised to return daily 2% of her investment. Weeks has passed, they are giving the return 2% at first and then it suddenly shut down.

The point here is that she seeked advices from me and she didn't listened. What we should always do to make sure if the site is really paying or not are,
  • feedback of the users,
  • search for the team (some are bogus),
  • their platform (how can they even pay in return without selling any products or without any trading actions?)

Even before, I always discouraged those obvious scam schemes, pyramid/networking or high pay returns. Be vigilant joining those. Awareness is always the key.

That worthless scumbag makes Bitcoin untrustworthy to the general public. In my country, Many people know bitcoin as scam because many investment in facebook are using bitcoin as mode of payment.
Many innocent people fall for that and most of them are those people leaving in the province and not fully aware on the risk of ponzi investment. Until now, Many still think bitcoin is scam and
they are afraid to buy. This scumbags legacy is really hard to erased.  :-\

You cannot blame Bitcoin for being "Money". Scammers use anything valuable to scam people and Bitcoin has the added benefit for them to stay pseudo anonymous. This feature was designed to protect people from scammers that might target people, if they knew how much bitcoins each individual had, based on the information on the Blockchain, but it turns out that the scammers also misuse this feature to hide their activities.  >:(

A time will come when Blockchain forensics will catch up to these scammers and they will have their day in court.  ;)

All of us in the Bitcoin or cryptocurrency community need to exert more efforts in educating people that they should not easily trust any third-party programs claiming to be giving a high return of investment because most likely they can be scams. Just like the US Dollar, Bitcoin can be the medium of exchange in any program because Bitcoin is also a currency.

Sadly, because Bitcoin is relatively new many people are associating this with many scams that victimized people all because they don't understand the currency aspect of cryptocurrency. I guess no one will ever accuse the dollar to be a scam just because there is a pyramiding program that is using the dollar as the money to pay-in and payout, right?

Unfortunately, we don't have that supernatural power to stop scammers from doing the things they excel. Some people are just inclined to enjoy fooling other people all because they are aware how lucrative the scam industry is. There is more money that can be made here than doing things legally and ethically, that is the truth that is staring right before us.

Scammers will scam, hackers will hack, phishers will phish and victims will cry. Hope we can spare one or two within our own circle of influence to steer away from being a victim statistics.

These scams have really made away with the funds of so many people and i am glad you have shared it openly so that other new members who join this forum can be aware of these schemes. Investors in here need to make the due diligence before investing into any project that gets launched into this space.

people who are usually trapped from the scams above are the attitude of wanting to get rich quickly and get a lot of money, sometimes we cannot provide technical knowledge about bitcoin if from the beginning they have that attitude, so back to the attitude of wanting to get rich quick from themselves that needs to be in fix

I also see a lot of people like that deceived easily and when they are deceived they blame bitcoin as a fraud, fraud sites use bitcoin as a tool, so I feel that this forum has also been implemented, if there are users promoting investment sites with bitcoin how it works like above it will be said to be a scam in this forum, preventing new people from being deceived

Well they don't even think before making decisions for themselves and that is the reason why most of them fall into scams, it is hard to trust projects these days because you can easily say if it has a good intention or not and that is why we have to be cautious. Sometimes it depends on the person if they wanted to get scammed or not because if you are aware of what is happening in your surroundings then you will literally look for something that can help you to avoid experiencing it. You should have done some research or ask people for their thoughts and opinion that can help you to make the right decision for yourself so you won't end up feeling remorse about it. There are just some bad people these days who keep on ruining bitcoins reputation by using it on illegal things and they are trying to take advantage of it just to get the benefits they wanted.

That's why bitcoiners specially newbies should equipped themselves with the knowledge on how everything works here.

Just because someone told them they can make $100 in an hour in crypto doesn't mean it's true. Common sense, logical thinking, understand of the crypto scene, but the problem is that there are so many gullible individuals who easily fall for the scammers trap. I was also a victim of a doubler early in my crypto journey, I know it's an expensive lessons to learnt, but I guess it help me better understand those scams early and not fall for it again.

Unfortunately, too many people are blaming Bitcoin itself for being a scam, instead of blaming/searching for the real delinquents who are standing behind such projects. The whole fake 'hypebubble' build around Bitcoin is awful, scammers are making up stories how Bitcoin is going to 'free you from banks', or 'Bitcoin will give you tremendous profit'. The communication send to people is based around Bitcoin, Bitcoin, Bitcoin, which distracts those people from the real culprits. Bitcoin is evil - they will say, but if someone gets scammed on stock market, he won't talk that dollar is evil (well, maybe some of them will). It's a perfect match for frauds - blame something else than yourself, that's the first rule, and when everything collapses, regular people won't be looking for a human, because they've been told that bitcoin and technology it stands on is the reason why they've lost money. Very, very sad reflection, I think for the whole cryptocommunity, which is full of wonderful and helpful people.

Sometimes the knowledge and preparations is not enough, you can become a victim just by accident, because of some unsuspected data leak, or someone can just target you and do harm. There are plenty of platforms which offers help in this case and then it turns out that is another fraud. So it’s much safer to use services of companies focused on such stuff e.g. Coinfirm, which is doing amazing work on AML field and with their 'Reclaim Crypto' services. They've been partners even with Binance: https://www.coindesk.com/theres-a-new-way-to-get-your-stolen-crypto-back

I think that the most important thing is: don't let go, don’t give up. React, and stand up for your stolen money. Malicious activity is, unfortunately, a common thing for crypto followers, but we have to stand up against it, because thiefs must feel that the punishment might come.

The more people will trade bitcoin, the more scams will appear.

And yet this has nothing to do with Bitcoin. If people expect an authority to "protect them", they are in for trouble. There is no governing body and all transactions are final period. Reversing a transaction destroys trust, and the code should not allow it, as is the case with Bitcoin.

Its not that you are "your own bank", you are also "your own security". Yes, you can still always pay others to do it for you, that is no different, it doesn't mean they will never fail, when you hire a third party, you trust it to not steal your money...

Which is exactly what happens when you give your coins to others. If the coins are not in your own wallet, they are not in your control or protection. Many traders risk millions in exchanges that can disappear overnight, some thing regulation would "somehow" prefent another Mt.Gox, and yet exchanges and other online wallets are always at risk. Maybe somewhat less risk vs the past, but still at risk.

And the internet is full of scammers trying to convince you to handle them your coins...

If you came to bitcoin to preserve your savings from the State induced inflation done to fiat, keep it in a cold wallet and protect those seed words...

Even if we get attracted to the cloud mining means also you might not continue with me cloud mining investment or you might be completely read off from the cryptocurrency industry.
So think that you are in a safer side.
scammers are very near to you in a bitcointalk as well as in every cryptocurrency feel so you need to be really careful while we starting to learn cryptocurrency.

Maybe you are new in crypto area or online 😁
I don't think this is the case with a lot of people, there are definitely people that don't know how online investing and the scams will work and this ends up happening.

1.  Cloud Mining: If you search on this forum you will find tons of posts where many members told that Cloud Mining is scam and don try to invest money in cloud mining. You will lose both of your money and time.
Not everyone in the world will use bitcointalk, often times when you google cloud mining you'll be bombarded by google ads.

2.  Multi level Marketing : This is not new tricks. Even this tricks also use in real life not only online.
That's fair, it's a pretty well-known scam scheme, and it's probably lack of awareness if they end up falling for it.

3.  Seed hacker: This is also old method in crypto area.they will give you thousands of proof. And they will ask for you for your seed or key. Even if you faced any problem with your token or coin (like how to swap).they Will message you that they can help or they will tell you that he is the developer or bla bla..and asked for seed or key. So avoid it and huge posts available where people gave warn.

If you joined this kind of programme and lost your money then its your fault, and you are greedy.
All of these method are not new.and be aware from them.
Often times its lack of awareness, or just not really understanding the entire scene.

there are many more con artists who do other things, which certainly they are very troubling, even to the point of being stressed because they do that. now we have to think about how to make them deterrent and detained, because it's very important, considering this is cyberspace, so it's hard to report it .. !!

They are taking this lightly, and they should be taking it more seriously. This is an example to all of the new incoming investors, they should not rush and learn for themselves, not just listen to some here say or advertisements on the internet. The problem with us is we regret what is already happening and not thinking too far ahead of us.

Dig in a little deeper though and you'll realize that these scammers are the same type of scammers who existed before Bitcoin. They'll simply pick up a new tech and twist the scam around.

Remember napster back in the day? People were giving out free files to infect you. Or paypal free money, or free money for surfing here and there. Pay to watch ads. Now Bitcoin is getting named, but it's nothing to do with bitcoin:)

They are just merely using the name of bitcoin to lure naive people.
They will not stop so long they are still getting money from their scams.
We can't prevent them from doing such unfavorable acts but we can stop ourselves from being scammed.
We need to be alert on what we are doing online and know that every sign up or info that we share online is safe and secure.

Meaning to say that no matter how new and safe a platform is, there are still people with huge self-interest meant to scam will fool people using that platform. So, if we are to think about getting safe in cryptocurrency, it is the same way as we think of getting safe and secured with our funds, same and same people will do their best to destroy our privacy, and might eventually lead to accessing our funds. Remember, crypto transactions are very easy, so we need to increase our security in terms of personal responsibility.

Of course, these are familiar forms but there are still some other forms such as raising funds through unlicensed ICOs or creating sophisticated documents to trap investors.  Not only are new entrants into the market but also long-term market participants.

criminals are always on fiat money or cryptocurrency. and always the targets of fraud are those who are new to crypto investment. therefore especially for a beginner should always do research before deciding to join or invest in a project. and for beginners I always advise that bitcoin and cryptocurrency are not the way to become rich overnight.
to succeed in the crypto market we must study a lot and work hard. if we have knowledge, we can avoid fraud.

Ponzi schemes on a cryptocurrency basis are still in great demand by new users, the reason being that the refund is more than 100% in less than 1 year.
This is often a problem why new users feel a little traumatized by the online business world such as BTC and others.

yes, it makes people think bitcoin is a fraud especially for beginners who don't understand the actual bitcoin, even though such fraud had existed long before Bitcoin was made, some people might consider bitcoin a kind of a ponzi scheme, hyip and the like.

Scammers are everywhere even if you say that it attracts a lot of attention to them but most scammers were bitcoin users or traders who just happened to want more because of their greediness. And most of their targets were people who doesn't have a single clue about of this innovative technology. Bitcoin has been widely affected by the negative effect of scammers that the government who also happens to no idea about of the bitcoin.

The more popular bitcoin is, the more scammers there will be, these things accompany each other.

unfortunately, so maybe some regulations are needed... it will help so much. I know that's very time-consuming process but I hope it would happen over time.

Yes people should be aware of this kind of scams in the crypto industry,
Specially those new in crypto they could easily fall for those sweet words they should also learn to do some background check before they invest on anything.
I also think that this is the reason why other people say that cryptois a scam because it is being used as a tool to scam .

The use of Bitcoin in a harmful scheme such as Ponzi is inevitably to happen due this currency anonymity so it cannot be tracked down easily. In our country as well when some folks heard Bitcoin they have negative annotation regards with this technology because of our local media. Moreover, most of the newcomers in this industry fall out in this kind of scheme that is why we should notify them regards with these activities so that we could make a slight difference about Bitcoin's image.

I've fallen for the multiplier scam earlier, and that was my fate to loss. Accidently came across an YouTube video describing about the multiplier software where the funds were deposited and received in multiples after short time when the software keeps running some programs. Later I was very sure not to try with any such schemes, and further my focus is on studying more about different cryptocurrencies for a better future profiting.

Scam is happening in real-life and in crypto-space, scammers won't stop until they get caught and put behind bars. It just happen that Bitcoin is new and most of the people on earth have a very limited knowledge about it but for scammers this is an opportunity to get easy money.

I propose to have a plat form for normal people teaching them basics of bitcoin as a 9 year could understand all this.

I absolutely agree with you but for me it is everyone's responsibility to research first before entering into anything that is new to them.

Scams are everywhere here and we cannot remove it, what we can do is to escape and prevent ourselves from it. Beginners are the one who are more likely to be scammed since they're still lacking knowledge and they are still exploring the world of crypto. That's why they still need someone who will guide them. Being aware of these kind of scams are a good factor to prevent yourself from those scammers...
I believe that asking here in forum will help a lot of beginners to learn various information. And this forum is a good place to ask advices.

Bitcoin had a meteoric rise making it on the mainstream and capture interests of the masses including scammers. As bitcoin rises, the population of scam victims also rose together with it leaving most of us wonder why do people still get theirselves into such mess despite of the huge and loud call of awareness against them especially here in the forum. All kinds of people saw bitcoin's value bringing out both good and bad in human nature, and with the bad it showed up with scammers also wanting to profit out of bitcoin amd they mostly target innocent and gullible crypto users making them lose their coins, then include theirselves with the increasing list of victims.

The one that mostly abuses these type of scams are double coiners.
One is incentivated into investing from their own pocket into some pronzi and waits for a double return of his investment.
User starts to feel confidence in achieving such profit due to first withdrawls but later on realizes he will losing everything he invested into.

Just read all sorts of information on the internet and feedback specially from bitcointalk.

In the bitcoin community, there's a lot of scammers here and their targets are those beginners. Gee, these two posts don't sound the same or anything.  Reported 'em both.

Are people still falling for cloud mining scams?  I don't see much talk about cloud mining on the forum anymore, so I assumed that it had gone by the wayside, at least somewhat--and I've always pretty much assumed that most businesses offering those services were scams to begin with.  But newbies ought to avoid them like the plague, because you have no way of knowing if the company you're giving your money to is actually doing any mining or if it's a Ponzi scheme (which it probably is) where they pay out your earnings from new customers' money.  I know it's hard to get into mining bitcoin nowadays, but cloud mining is NOT the way to do it.  It would be much better to just buy bitcoin and hold it, or even to get into PoS coins to earn income.

shut up ,stop hijacking others thread stupid.
Yeah, I reported that fuckball's post already so hopefully it gets deleted.

Why the rant? Aren't there basic topics for newbies here? maybe you should visit beginners & help more often. Politics, gambling, speculation, economics, press and off topic are pretty much for everyone and really easy to understand even for a complete newbie. If you like to get brainwashed go to altcoin discussion or gambling. They're full of retards and spammers but the language is as basic as it gets. Then there are local forums where you can even set up a meeting with someone from your neighbourhood.

Bitcointalk is simple and thousands of people were able to found their way here, but you couldn't. Are you slow with computers or in general?

I wonder if you could prove you own a farm with a video clip of your farm and yourself showing people it how much you could make? The problem is with the scams taking the spotlight people prefer them to something legit since a legit mining investment just won't make enough for these greedy people and so they so foolishly fall for scams and never learn their lessons only to repeat them in the next bs site that does cloud mining.

Many honest people who were newcomers became victims and lost their money in cloud mining, seed hacks, etc. I think that the Bitcoin community should intransigently fight scammers. I am pleased to see DT members leaving negative feedback to users who promote Ponzi schemes and scam ICOs confirmed on the forum, but there are many other scammers all over the Internet. In most cases, every successful scam strikes the cryptocurrency market because fraudsters immediately cash out stolen coins. In addition, scammers undermine the prestige of crowdfunding campaigns, so people are now afraid to invest even in credible projects. Therefore, new non-technical people should first ask the community before taking the wrong financial steps.

Basically, In this platform, some people are making pollute and bringing negative feedback because they have done already a negative thing, it may be their project could not see the light of success or maybe it was their intentional project to steal money from this platform by creating a fake project, But the blame should not go to them alone, A newcomer and Old buddies could be more aware before joining any project, So when you want to invest money in this platform then you have to be very careful regarding this issue, scammer always try to make thing negative but if we stand strong then nothing will happen against us.

I am doing digital marketing since 2007 and following bitcoin from 2012 I not a newbie as you can see on my profile I joined this forum back in old days but forgot my all details because I belong to Pakistan and we barely now in 2019 moving towards technology. We have ban for crypto currency trading in cash . I saw thousands of people around me thinking btc as investment opportunity, ponzi scheme or a scam I am just being guilty here to share my opinion . Sorry about that have fun Thank you.

Coal Mining

Cryptomining farm

These are just a few of my long list of scam cloudmining i participated in the past. And once you learn this you will find out what actually gives you the bitcoin income that you do not need to invest you hard earned money.

Remember, there is no instant profit by paying a certain amount of funds, everything needs a process, friend. Avoid immediately if someone offers you profit or investment with the condition of sending certain funds, it's a scam. Of the four types of fraud discussed by the OP, newbies are usually easily attracted to numbers 3 and 4. Most newbies are interested in joining cryptocurrency because getting information that this is very profitable, without learning they just want profit, this is a bad trait, avoid it. The key to success here is that we understand the ecosystem well so we can adapt and avoid predators or risks as best we can.

Your statement has a point. Fraudsters always try to take advantage of the opportunities and ignorance of others, and the easiest one to cheat is the newbie. Let alone new people, who have been joining cryptocurrency long enough to be exposed to fraud too. The key here is caring to equip yourself with in-depth knowledge about cryptocurrency, and controlling yourself, especially emotionally related to being able to get instant profits in a short time, everything needs a process.

They should learn how to handle bitcoin is the same as handling your money in real world. Actually much difficult in bitcoin since there are many people wanting to have your bitcoin and many ways to scam people . So it's up to the people how they can secured the amount money the have. Newbies can be easily fool because they are looking also to earn money using that.  And they think if they have btc they can easily earn from it.

With Bitcoin boom, cloud mining scams risen suddenly. Many companies came into existence overnight giving fixed return on Bitcoin . They shown increased value of Bitcoins on their website for investors. All these companies disappeared by mid 2018 taking taking investors money. Even I was about to invest in one such company as cloud mining was a new concept for me that time but thank God I did not invest. Fixed returns schemes are mostly blunt, we should do a deep analysis before going for such investment.

They are aware of these, the problem is they still take the risk than doing nothing, their mindset is it is better to invest their money on something than letting it sit in their vaults or wallets, it is good as long as these cloud mining site and other ponzi schemes are paying, but your investment on them is like digging up your own grave. Starting your own business even though it is just small will do the work than investing on crooks.

There is an instant profit, but it is only for a word. In this new society, easy profit making is too hard to believe. If you want to have that, try to do illegal activities. But if you are just investing your money and your friend online told that this is good to be invested because of 100% ROI for few weeks. No, it is a real scam.
If we want to be successful, try to be in real world. Think as if it is logical and possible to happen.

These scams have been around for a long time and others are aware of this system especially when it comes to investing in ponzi schemes. But they still do not stop investing because they know they will earn this way and they are also early adopters so their money is safe. But in reality this early adopter people are no different from scammers and they are still helping these scammers to victimize newcomers in crypto. And they should be to blame, because no scammer would succeed in victimizing without these people continuing their work.

The development of bitcoin depends on us to improve its image to people who are not aware, And we are also the reason for crypto especially bitcoin to becoming mainstream.

Ponzi and cloud mining alway attract new Bitcoin users because of the high profit and it seems so easy to earn money, just invest and wait for the profit daily.
I wasted so much time and money with cloud mining sites when i was a newbie.

Bitcoinis just used as medium and its hard to eliminate people who only know is to scam others.
many people will trust to someone easily, so they can get scam. when they get it, they will say that bitcoin is scam.

A common thing that beginners should need to avoid because the scammers is multiplying and improving their ability to scam not just the newbies but also the experience traders. I saw a lot of traders there that even they understand and be observant of what project they invest they still victimize because scammers now are revealing their self and do a lot of AMA or etc. that attract investors. so now revealing a identity of a project team won't give us a certain result if their going long term or to scam us.

It is partly the fault of the people who were scammed. Everything is provided in the internet. Google knows everything. They could have spent at least an hour over there and realize that what they are getting into is not true. There are already so many stories of victims being posted online. Many people who got victimized by scams claiming they have connection to Bitcoin or cryptocurrency either as a trader or as an investor are those who are just thinking of the promised return without flipping a page.

To be honest, I do not think Bitcoin will ever reach a state where it will be trusted and traded as a universal currency, Bitcoin is a niche currency and will probably stay like this.
Bitcoin history started long ago, it was popularized by the media during its bubbles, but before all this, it was used only on the Darkweb where scammer and theft make the rules, and it still carries this legacy
Bitcoin is made for the type of people that can secure their funds meaning the nerd and savvy type, However, since more and more people tend to become tech-savvy probably one day it could be possible to have a large number of people in Bitcoin, but I don't think I will witness this in my lifetime.
There is a way tho, it would be to trade decentralization at least at a certain level to have more security, "cryptocurrency" like Libra might not be a bad thing at all, but most people and also probably many scammers would not like this idea.
So we are stuck in a circle that makes it near impossible to compel the everyday people to Bitcoin, but that only involves Bitcoin, not all cryptocurrency, I think that crypto will evolve into something that will overwrite the current monetary system or at least bring great change to it,
but for Bitcoin, it will probably stay a niche currency.

Nah, there's little you can do to Bitcoin's reputation and image that time and adoption won't fix. It's the familiar tech cycle. We first heard about AI and robots as potential threats to our very existence. Evil robots hell-bent on murdering the planet. And now evil criminals intent on laundering every single dollar through darknet markets.

Pop culture and mainstream headlines were unkind to the telephone, to cars, to the Internet. It's only natural it's unkind to Bitcoin.

Eventually that tree gets so tall the wind's got to be a hurricane to damage it.

Scammers are now on the telegram

1). pretending to be support of some exchange (exp: latoken)
2) Others are chatting to withdraw thier funds on gambling website and give you half on btc on the website and demand you to deposit btc because the maximum withdrawal is not enough.
3) Giving you some link that is actually a malware or phising site
4) Spamming airdrop that you need to do kyc and earn x amount of ethereum or they faje coins. and many more.

The scam will always be there, but we can avoid something that looks suspicious, so we don't want to get the trouble. With learning about something that we want to invest, we can reduce the chance to get a scam, and we can also have time to select the best thing that we want. But unfortunately, more new people will not always learn from many sources, and they only follow what other people suggest without learning. If that happens, then we are going to see the scam case happens in many places, and we cannot do anything except advise those people. Every people, not just new bitcoin users, will need to be careful if they see some offers that look good to be true, and they need to search more about the truth.

Things like that make the image of bitcoin worse which affects the movement of bitcoin because of the negative impact for those who already believe in bitcoin become less trusting again, and besides it makes people hesitate to get involved with bitcoin.
and the development of bitcoin is growing fast and more trials will be faced, and the saying goes that the taller the tree, the stronger the wind will hit.

It is actually not when the bitcoin has already established a strong foundation to the market. Why? Because we can directly compare bitcoin to the fiats that we have. Where if people experience a scam or frauds, they do not blame the systems, but the people who uses it. That same concept should be applied to bitcoin as well so the reputation of bitcoin will not be affected. In order to stop this, we should all be well knowledgeable to the security measures to avoid having a negative experience with bitcoin.

Nobody will he scam if a person won't allow it to happen, prevention is better than fixing something that has been happening. However, dealing on a situation that could bring you more prone to scam must be avoided. If you're aware on things around you, I don't think you'll be able to compromise all things that put your bitcoin funds to danger especially to new users.

Exactly you are right, no one gonna have the guts and courage to scam people if they think that people has been wise now, but sad to say that there are still some people who doesn't know what they are doing, that they are just after and hoping with the profit that they can earn, they are not considering the risk associated to their actions, they are too careless with it.

Let we imagine, bitcoin has increased a lot a t 2017 ago and there are many people who curious to it. But honestly they just curious to the money that will get if they start to spend. Just simple question, do they get that they wanted? Most likely not, most of them will fall to the some people who offer that they have a way to make their dreams come true surely through an easy way such as cloud mining.

Through cloud mining the investor didn't need anything, I mean someone just spend his money and join the cloud mining server and they will get profit monthly or weekly, it is simple way, isn't it? I think it is reasonable for those who fall to this trap, because the focus of them just getting money quickly, it will be different if they try to find more source or at least if someone find a way (whatever it is) to get money through bitcoin should chrosschect it first, find the ins and out about the first and ask to someone who has knowledge about cryptocurrency such this forum.

I always get sad when I hear and see victims who usually fall for these kinda bitcoin scams. Greedy people get what they deserve. Remember the greedy dog who barked at his own reflection on the water because he wanted the other dogs bone but he was left with none since it fell out his mouth and into the water when he barked. People should really pay attention to stuff like these stories and fables. We taught this stuff as children and somehow some people forgot. A fool and his money are easily part.

The very important thing to observe is how the user get involved in Bitcoin or Cryptocurrencies environment?

The answer to this question will give a clear picture of scamming.

Greed and lack of knowledge are the most common fundamentals occurs who get scammed in the past period. So as per my opinion, there is no matter whether user is newbie or experienced. One single wrong move can fall user into trouble. And as we know there is no support or back office for Bitcoin backend so people loose trust after getting lost in scams.

You should always be concerned on how to protect yourself each time you will invest your money. This industry with volatile nature is being misinterpreted by many. Thinking that it's an easy access to earn money but once suffered from loses it easy for those people to cry out and blame the system of being scammed. Your knowledge is your tool to survive and to earn better to use the proper judgment and not to blindly invest without knowing what you are doing.

I agree with you but these days anything can be found on the internet. There are already many websites which explains bitcoin, it's functionality, it's use cases, possible scams etc..
It's just a matter of minutes and all the information is in front of you. But there are many who do not bother to research before investing their money on anything.
People only lose their money if they don't pay attention to what they are doing.

Anybody who buys bitcoin should know how to use the internet then why do people don't research before investing their money ?

That is why before we introduce cryptocurrency to people, we should also be responsible for educating them on the possibilities of being scammed and be a victim of illegal activities on the internet. I do really appreciate people who conducts seminars that are free to public that is concerned about cybersecurity and investment. It strengthens the foundation of an individual to become risk-free and to have a deeper understanding of how to avoid fraud in the market.

I think that we should know every system has it negative side too and weakness I may say, and this is what those people that are bad have seen and taking advantage of to tarnish the image of cryptocurrency which we also contributed to it too. The way we contributed to it was that we gave them so much open hand to operate by not cross checking every project that they came up with in form of scam just because we want to make quick money, and this is what we have to deal with now.

Instead if the interest of people in cryptocurrency, they are just losing interest the more because of the fear of unknown and uncertainties about the future of cryptocurrency. I wish that we could just have one of these main countries to come up with regulations as this will help a whole lot.

In as much that there are a lot of scams in the bitcoin ecosystem and the entire crypto space as a whole, greed is the only reason why a lot people in the crypto space and bitcoin ecosystem fall for these scams. It is about time people in the crypto space need to research before investing into anything in this ecosystem.  Knowledge and understanding are the key elements need to avoid being scammed in the bitcoin ecosystem. Scammers are always looking for greedy people in the ecosystem to scam them. A lot of people in the crypto space do not really know what bitcoin is and its significant purpose in the entire financial space.  Due to this, people easily get scammed.

The easiest way to not gove in to a scam and for for somhing is to be thick-skinned as hell. Don't believe anything anyone tella you. Expect what you hear to be bs abd lies. Dont just be a sheep and accept the first answer you get. Ask around. Wuestion. Like at school question your teachers and ask why. You ahoukd be use to questioning thigs from being in school. Only the sheep never questions the teacher. Always question thongs esspecially about money. This is the best advice you can get honestly. Don't trust anything you hear. Only trust what is real.

you should protect always your money and do not invest blindly with an investment that promises a high return . High return means high risk and you will lost all yout money in just one mistake so always take care of it. Investment is part of our life but you dont need to trust a fraud just to earn money.

Well, I don't know why there's a lot of people who believes in this kind of strategy, sometimes, I am thinking, is it because of the poverty and they wanted to become rich in just expand of time, or they just do have lack of education and time to do research with what they are doing.

Those peoples are thinking Bitcoin is scam they have bad experience with it and they don't have enough technical knowledge what is bitcoin and how it's been working. Lots of scam happening on even real life with real money, it can't be prevent very easily. So it's normal behaviour, some bad people always around us either offline or online.

I have real experience that some people give up bitcoin due to scams. When they tried to buy bitcoin from my local country then sellers scam them and they disappointed from bitcoin. But bitcoin itself can't scam anyone, who will explain them since they already got scam and have bad experience. That's how some people think that bitcoin is scam but technically they are all wrong.

They got scam because they are trusting those people that they do not even know so easily. Also, because of their greediness about the money that they might get, they just accept the offers of others without even thinking what will be probably the effect of it to them if they are going to accept it. The scam around cryptocurrency is aiding it low acceptability. Some investors don't research,  they work with recommendations. This is the major hindrance to Bitcoin mainstream. Whether we like it or not, until the issue of scam within digital currency is addressed,  we will continue to hope for a better day uncertain.
The issue of scam should be addressed across all sectors ( promotional, contract creation etc)

That's why people should be aware that they need to study the projects before investing, they need to know what they should know in every projects, but many are too greedy and bitcoin been used by scammers, they just might shows some proof that makes the new users intrigue and wanted to join since they show some proof or edited proof. Bitcoinis just used as medium and its hard to eliminate people who only know is to scam others.
many people will trust to someone easily, so they can get scam. when they get it, they will say that bitcoin is scam.
knowing what will you do is important than other. you must be know about what is investment, who people that bring you, and other thing that relate with it. sad if someone say that bitcoin is scam without knowing about bitcoin exactly.

That's why don't you ever ever trust easily in bitcoin. You should know more first before engaging with cryptocurrency. Having a lot of knowledge and experience is important for you to know the do's and dont's in cryptocurrency.

Scammers are professionals in fooling people and take their money without even being caught by the internet society. They are expert in taking your money instantly and it is because of your cooperation. So in the first place, try not to have a transaction with a people with least personal information.

But of course don't too much worry when it is happen, be calm and study the market well.

Whatever the prevailing scenario of the market, it always stands with the people who love taking risk. The market will change in no time, by the time people easily fall for the crash. This panic move from the user will be made use of the large scale investors who are real risk takers in the crypto market. Only users who have the mind to risk and the people with luck are the bitcoin millionaires.

That is really the greatest risk today. Its overwhelming and proud to think of how much bitcoin had been this far. However, there are people who take advantage of it. There's no really perfect in this world. But those imperfections are sometimes done by opportunists who are always planning to destroy good things and take it to there advantage. Hopefully the security and risks management teams of crypto will look solutions to these cases.

Well, they could be considered toxic to the cryptocurrency space. I do believe that we are already been widely accepted even with the government if in the first place those people respected cryptocurrency. They've just made the crypto's reputation bad at all. Now, believe it or not but sometimes when I ask someone if they know bitcoin, they sometimes told me about it is a scam currency which in fact not at all. This 2020, I am really aiming at promoting good and positive feed back atleast to have positive impressions of people to bitcoin by telling them how to properly utilize it.

When you are going to invest in this platform then you must be careful what do you want and which platform you are choosing for your investment, I think it's a common scenario in this bitcointalk forum that many of us know very clearly that cloud mining is not a good segment in order to invest because lots of people have lost their money in here, So you should be aware of this segment for the future perspective, Following my perception, Holding and Trading are both profitable and secure, So you may follow this way.

crypto risk is on user, when they can control theirs, im sure they have all it. basic knowledge and experience is the best for passing it.
luck will come to who want to hard work, to people that die for that purpose.

A big issue, I think, is that people all over the world are exposed to the internet (and everything that comes with it) at such speed that they cannot grasp it. Isn't it understandable that they are gullible? Yesterday they could not even talk to people 100 miles away, and suddenly people all over the world promise them free money.

I don't have a solution, and they will have to go through a hard learning phase, but I think I understand why people fall for the tricks of scammers. It happens here (northern europe) as well with older people who are easily overwhelmed. Not saying that all older people are like that(!) but they are easier victims than those who grew up with new technology.

I notice that some or many people also think that crypto, bitcoin is a big scam well maybe because they experienced it or they have someone they know that experienced it or got a news from others experienced it but when I ask that person why do you get scammed and got broke I don't see a valid reason why they gone through that why? Because they don't totally know what they are doing, what they are entering, and who they are transaction with, and what they are clicking. This was the common problems of the beginners, as a 5-year-old in crypto world or in this industry I know a lot of things and how this world works but after I've heard what they said i synthesized that they don't have a deep learning in what they are doing without a guide or an expert guide they do things out of greed to earn money or anything so the problem is not to blame in those peoples that are scammers or what, the one to blame are those beginners, unexperienced that do things without an in-depth knowledge. Yes there are a lot of scammers, site that are scams there's a lot of them, but not all of them are not like that so it is very important to know where, what, when to engage and who they trust and they can classify it if they have the required knowledge, in short, the key to becoming successful in bitcoin or crypto world is to become knowledgeable about it.

The reputation of the bitcoin and cryptocurrency in my country is bad, it is all because of the scammers who tarnished the image of the cryptocurrency market. They are always thought that bitcoin is bad and it can use in illegal activities, they are not aware on its important function of bitcoin in our economy. I respected the other opinions because it is the wrong knowledge that they gained from wrong information. We should not just hear the half side of the story, what I mean is we should really understand the cryptocurrency market in order to know what it is and how does it work.

Investing on cryptocurrencies is really at high risk if you don't know on what you are doing and spending it without knowledge on how market works will definitely put your funds in waste.

And that's why you need to lesrn first how does it works and we all know that a lot of people are taking advantage those new investors and scamming them which is really putting the crypto world in risk and many people may not trust this new technology.

Most people want easy money and they fall into the scammers ' pit. And I know it's happening all the time and most people lack awareness about how this investment actually works and that's why they're taking advantage of it and exploiting it as well. So even you have a lot of post about this scheme, people are still entertaining so making an investment even you know there's a huge risk of losing their money.
Well, I find most of your statement a very truthful one. I definitely agree that no matter how we remind every newbies or investors if they really wanted an easy money, then they will choose the easy way which has greater risk from scammers.

That's really what happened if you are too greedy enough with money, you cannot think well, what's on your mind and head is the potential money that you will earn from it, you are no longer thinking about other way, as you are already hoping and praying for it and you already believed in everything what they said although they are missing deadlines, no development etc.

Already try a lot of this in the past years invested in the cloud mining and hoping to get a big profit in this in the past years, I did my research about this and it was not really profitable it was not a scam but there are a lot of websites that make this kind of method a scam and that why this things already have a bad image in the community. Also, there are also a lot of sites that you could easily get a profit may be up to 3 weeks they are going to circular the money from the investors and then just going to disappear.

There are so many scam website online with just circulating the money and making a great payout at the start,
and going to end up and delete their website so that no one could already access the websites, they really pay and made the payout for maybe to gather users and also to influence them to reinvest their payout because it could make their payout bigger in the next payout. I think this is the classic type of scam.

To date, the price of Bitcoin is really in the level that Bitcoin miners can really earn very good money, while taking into account the payment of bills for electricity spent.  In addition, given the fact that you will not be engaged in cloud mining, but will make investments in your own bitcoin mining mine, then your income will increase several times.  Due to the great popularity of cryptocurrency among cloud mining companies, there are a lot of scammers.  Well, if we talk about the prospects of Bitcoin in the future, we must first take into account the fact that the cryptocurrency market is just beginning to develop, and Bitcoin today is primarily of interest to investors because of its volatility, and not as a means of payment or as an investment for the long term  .

The stage where bitcoin needs a trust factor among the traditional investors to boost adoption, these scams are increasing at double the rate year after year. This isnt good for the cryptocurrency ecosystem overall. Not only it will create a hindrance to new traders or investors but will also make already existing traders and investors lose interest or trust. Volume is already struggling and in such a scenario these crime rates are not helping.
More emphasis should be given to educate people about the whole ecosystem and make them technically effecient so that they can bypass such hacks and scams.

Someone who has just entered the market can come into contact with fraudsters in some way. People think that bitcoin is a means to make themselves rich. Scammers can deceive people with these promises. Research is needed first.
Research is much required with anything crypto associated. Bitcoin once served to be a way to get rich, but as the demand kept growing more and more people started to get into the cryptocurrency market. This is the reason why more scammers easily find crypto market a way to scam people. Even after hard research people will get caught into trap.

New users should be prepared for the fact that everyone wants to deceive them. There are many tips. But new users should get their own personal experience.
I know that was sad looking at newbies been a victim to this devil act but I also think that it better for them to experience that way in order for them to learn and how scammers catch their prey. Scammers are smart but most noobs also smarter and take advantage of a certain offer that scammers give to them. If these new Bitcoiners/users would have time to think before they'll take action, it absolutely they could find out how it goes like that.

I think what Bitcoin need to prioritize here is having wise decisions. It might be true that Bitcoin can really help in earning money especially for those who are in need of it. However this mustn't be taken advantage because who knows where it might bring you. Lack of research and inquiry can really lead you to a bad spot instead of a smooth transaction to be. So one must do deep research especially with the type of scams to avoid it and to share experience and information with other users also.

To do your due diligence is a necessary step no matter in what market you want to invest however many people that have never read a book about investing or trading believe themselves to be investors just because they put their money in a coin and that is not true, this market facilitates many of the things that an investor must do but it is up to each person to have the knowledge and the skills necessary to be a good investor and many people never take the time to do that so they keep falling for every scam they find.

People falling for scams can't be blamed to be stupid, because even the trusted projects turn to be scam due to some issues on lack of development, funding and promotion. Each and every human wish to make easy money, upon the same they make investment. Everyone after hard analysis makes an investment, but when the same turns to be a scam they aren't fools. There are people who choose on random choice.

Well, it's true though. Sometimes people could trust a complete stranger with the money they "had" without using their brain of what might happen to them and to their money which usually make them a victim of scamming. It's unbelievable that people could easily got lured when they are completely overtaken by their greediness and there are some stupidest scenario of being scammed out there that part of me makes a conclusion that there are no helping for these kind of people.

Someone who has just entered the market can come into contact with fraudsters in some way. People think that bitcoin is a means to make themselves rich. Scammers can deceive people with these promises. Research is needed first.

IMO, research is not enough when you are to determine if a project or a platform is a scam or not, sometimes, you need to see for yourself and to test it personally to determine if the site is legit or not, but with this method, scammers might just be provided with initiative to scam further, so to avoid being scam, the best way is to prevent this site and rely only to those proven to be good and with huge reputation. Or else, you might be fallen for traps and your funds will just be stolen.

I remember there was a lot of cloud mining investments back then. If I remember correctly one was Genesis Mining or something. I was about to invest in that one but changed my mind because my friend who is very knowledgeable about the crypto market discouraged me to join and it was the right decision not to join. I have been scammed a few times already but it's money that I can afford to lose so it is okay. I joined an investment before that one through that same friend because he was able to receive a profit. Unfortunately, after the said update they did not get online and turned into a scam.

This creates a negative impact to bitcoin too. As these scammers take advantage of people who know little to none about bitcoin but dove in anyway. They can give bad remarks about cryptocurrencies which could then lead to a lowered if not heavily reduced amount of people who invest in cryptocurrencies. Proper knowledge is truly needed to ensure that everyone is aware of what really bitcoin is or at the very least what it is truly meant for.

New users are the small fishes that get easily caught in the net of scammers. Their lack of knowledge makes them more vulnerable to frauds and the lose they face leaves a bad impact in their minds. This discourage them and they do not want to invest more. The key to success in crypto market is complete know how about the market, the strategies scammers adopt and how to be safe from them. This will add a good experience in their book of business and will invest more.

These are obvious scams though and should bring flags. Even if someone is not sure that is fine but then they can just invest a small amount. If new users only made small investments then the scams would die away and not make enough money. I understand someone is new and may not think it is a scam but they should still have a bad feeling about it and take safe precautions like investing only small amounts. They only have themselves to blame for their own foolishness.

Cloud mining, MLM, Ponzi, is one type of fraud that is common but for ordinary people, it is like a beautiful hope that is very lucrative. The fraudsters will try as much as possible to package it in a form that seems professional and promising, but that is only a hoax. It even includes fake testimonials, so education about this should be done more intensively. Especially for some people who join cryptocurrency because they want instant profit without learning and without having enough knowledge in this ecosystem, they are easily influenced. And when they are caught in fraud because of their own mistakes, they say that cryptocurrency is a scam. That's so annoying.

Then, let's break their intention. In general, scams are always around us, they will strike anytime if they have time and saw if that person could be their possible prey and the sad thing is that most of their targets are those new in crypto and definitely those who want instant returns. They are smart to trick people like these but if we have time to listen to what the other says, we can escape for their trap.
Yes, scams target you. You are right. Newbies should spend more time and not be in a hurry to join, all of them need process and analysis, not just trusting people who have no basis, it's better to learn more from trusted people who are known and experienced in cryptocurrency in advance.

Very well said. And because of the large amount of scams occured here. More people will eventually leave the trading industry here most especially the crypto world. And also it will be more difficult for us to encourage more people to join and invest here. I think we have to be more careful to avoid scams and also we should build up the cryptocurrencies to others and encourage them to join here.

The issue of scams is clearly due to ignorance of information, even in many parts of the world, even in third world countries there are people with pyramid schemes that operate with FIAT money and there are still new victims, if this happens in the system of FIAT money, imagine just thinking about what happens in the crypto world.

Many pyramid schemes keep coming out and people coming together believing that from one day to the next they will have very large profits without almost working, it is absurd, and this demonstrates a clear culture and financial education.

This is actually one of the reasons why I tell my family not to buy BTC until they take the time to learn about crypto security and to avoid many scams. If someone still wants to invest in BTC, I just tell them to use an exchange, never withdraw from that exchange and use a unique username, password, 2FA and use 2FA for email password also.

I am sure in the future there will be more security which will be easier for most to implement but these days its crazy by the amount of new adopters that are getting scammed everyday. Its pretty bad because if someone gets scammed once it usually means they will move on to different investments such as stocks instead to avoid these issues.

why you suggested not withdraw from exchange? Why I will not withdraw from the exchange? isn't it safe?
If I do not withdraw, how can I find a profit from there?

Talk about number 1 is really like touching my reverse scale, who knows about pbmining or ltcgear, well I did it, but talk about those i think most longest scam is LTCgear. Many people from btctalk or ltctalk support it before the owner ( Beekeeper ) got silent after 2 yrs operation. It started with black friday as a reason for great sale. After that not too long it started with delayed payments and many updates which started people doubting that this services is going strange. Finally on its day, people from many countries pursuing Bees. Well, thats my story and i just passing by to tell u guys never ever trust cloud mining services again.

That is the main target for scammers for new users to jump into the world of Cryptocurrenty, they really take advantage of new users to offer investment appendages and get huge, lucrative profits for their goals.

Maybe until now there has not been for prevention, even very much in telegrams or on social media for scammers looking for prey for their deception and reap huge profits in their actions ..

Maybe for old users like us we can avoid it but for new users it is making more and more victims of unclear investment ..

In the past the mistake that is often made by most new bitcoin users is that they trusted a cloud mining website without even do check whether the web really has a real mining company or not, second, they invested their bitcoin on web ponzi. Nowadays ponzi and cloud mining websites are not as popular as before, but now many new bitcoin users are tricked by scam ICO or project. They assume that they can get rich instantly if they invest in those ICO projects, well it might be true but the chance for the project is going to be successful is very low since there are so many competitors out there, and if the project fails then they will call it scam.

If you think you will make money without any trouble, you are wrong. People want to make money right away, but this is not generally possible. Scams will reach you. They can reach you via Telegram. Start with small amounts of investment.
People will always think on how they will earn money on the very fastest and easiest way so what it is? Then probably this is to cheat other people just to earn a good amount of money in the near future, cheating and scamming people to earn a lot of money is the one that the bad guys are doing just to be them earn in a fastest way. It is very hard to earn money that no one is around you and it is really imposible because as long as the people know that you are earning a good profit from your investment then they will target you to invest on a bad and scamming projects so that they will be able to get what you have earning.

There are lots of cryptocurrency scammers on Twitter and I’m stupid because I almost fell for it, lol.
Well, I almost fell for it because it looked real, they used a handle that was a bit similar to a popular business man and I thought it was his real account. That was a long story. Most people here are not making use of this kind of discussion but learning only after experiencing such incident in real time; that is must be really bad thing and this helps scammers to exist.

People really have to be careful and avoid these scammers as much as they could. This time around I’m not really looking at any other opportunities there are, I just focus on trading and investment. And as for signature campaigns, I do through research before making my choice.

It is true that the peak price of bitcoin in 2017 is used as an opportunity for scammers to look for victims, which new bitcoin users
having low knowledge eventually become victims of scammers. And they blame bitcoin in the end. Therefore I am strongly agree
cryptocurrency should be learned from an early age, if it can be included in school subjects. So it can reduce the number of fraud
victims in the cryptocurrency world.

And it is because of this people keep falling in the many scams there are in the market, people want easy money, they do not want to work hard for it and they do not want to come up with their own ideas about how to make money in the markets, they think they deserve to get more money and that somehow the world owes them that money and when they find a scammer they are not suspicious of him they just think this is the opportunity they have been waiting for and then they lose everything they have.

Bitcoin is associated with risky investment or trading and these risky words make it easier for fraudsters to commit fraud and especially the target is beginners, because they think bitcoin is an easy way to get money quickly without based on deeper knowledge and risks that will be faced especially fraud cases which often happens lately.
and besides that even though there are many other digital currencies especially altcoin but everyone only knows it's bitcoin, and from the few coins involved with fraud and making the name bitcoin worse and can affect people who don't understand bitcoin feel afraid to get involved and come back again on very important knowledge.

That is why, we should help those people who wants to learn bitcoin and all its stuff so that they will be aware and they could avoid scam ICO/IEO and projects. We should help each other, if bitcoin continues to pump its price expect that the number of scammers will rise too, and many people will be a victim as well, we should research everything first before making a move.
Not only beginners, even successful traders can get caught by the net of scammers. The difference only lies in the experience both have of the market. Successors have more experience, more knowledge and more awareness so there are less chances of them caught by any such scammers. If I talk about the research, everyone should continue learning in every phase because it never wastes. Do not be afraid of risks because it adds into your knowledge.

Crypto caught the attention of a lot of bad people in the HYIP and what I first realized during the period of crypto run was that many HYIP started using crypto as part of their payment options in addition to other ones such as perfect money, payza, solidtrustpay and others. This did not stop there as many scam schemes are being created with the names of the scheme relating to crypto (e.g Bitdonate, bitconnect etc) while the payment processors being used were purely cryptocurrencies. If you have experience with investing in HYIP before you will know that those behind the scheme are very smart. Today I believe they are the same set of people creating many crypto-related project and throwing IEO on some platforms such as Latoken, exmarket, Crex24 etc. with the major aim of defrauding investors as usual.

Scammers love cryptocurrencies because as we know once you send your coins to another address and you get a confirmation then your money is lost, we need to teach people that a bank is not there to protect them just like what happens with fiat, they are supposed to be their own bank and they need to be responsible about their money or they will lose their coins, most people do not want to take this responsibility and prefer the delegate on banks but soon enough they will realize the mistake they have made to trust in banks.

Well, it is true and really indeniable that right after the biggest bull run that have happened in the history of Bitcoin's existence which is way back the year 2017, many people have been driven by the trend to get into buying cryptocurrency specially Bitcoin for the belief that they can get instantly rich on getting engage into crypto community even without that prior knowledge and understanding on how things work on this industry. That scenario turns out to be an opportunity for other people known as scammers to took advantage of the innocence of those new people in the crypto community in which they showcase seem to be reliable projects and related schemes that looks really promising but turns out to be not true resulting to scamming of other people. With that scenario, new users have been victimized and have took advantage with their weakness. So it is really in need that before putting yourself into something you are new about or doesn't know anything yet, better took research to make yourself knowledgeable to avoid being scammed.

That isn't a main reason at all for people to call bitcoin scam. The reason why they mostly call it scam is it's price movement. Some people say: They make bitcoin's price growing in order to get people's attention and then suddenly price falls and they make a lot of money, so bitcoin is scam, pyramid, ponzi.
Sometimes they also call bitcoin scam because of that reason which you and OP posted and people say: Hey, I invested on one website that promised me 5% profit daily and it took all my money and went away, so bitcoin is scam, this coin helps scammers and benefits them, not me.

To be fair it's not like that nowadays, scammers are caught pretty easily and more frequently so not all crypto is good solution for them.
And if there are people who are looking for chargeback and similar services on bitcoin and really think it has bank's privileges, then they have to forget it. Bitcoin is everything that bank isn't. You have anonymity, fast and low fee transactions, you are your own bank and no 3rd party controls you.

Hello everybody. It's no secret to anyone - the more profitable a certain area of activity is - the more this area becomes a treat for scammers. Unfortunately, while this market has not been settled in any way, all that’s around is almost everything is a vast area for fraud. I think that until you become a victim of fraudsters at least once, you will not be seriously afraid of anything. For many years, warnings have been hanging on many sites, but newcomers, with a great desire for quick profit, become easy targets for scammers. Therefore, all of us only have to tell friends and acquaintances about the dangers of the cryptocurrency market. This is just a small projection of life as a whole - adults, people wise by experience, tell the young generation how to live. But until you feel it in your own skin, you will hardly be afraid.

Maybe we can say it is the price of bitcoin in today's world but it depends on the crypto market, so we can say that those who have bitcoin users will definitely make a post and you can earn it through trading by depositing through me. It may be increasing day by day but I think the value of bitcoin will be much higher in the next few years So I guess it can never be what it is, so those who use it can definitely use it in this market.
