Many people are still confused on which mobile phone to choose when they need to buy new phones. Will people prefer Android for ease of use / customization or use IOS, as sort of Jail but with greater security ?

Tell us your views and experience on this.

That's very subjective.

iOS advocates will praise the resale value, smoothness of iOS, lifecycle and simplicity of the ecosystem.

Meanwhile, Androids will clamor about the endless designs, "bang for your back" specs, large(r) screens and quick charge. Security, definitely miles behind Apple but as long as you don't simply download or visit sus stuffs, you'll do fine. Like how I had my device for years without any incidence because Android has matured alot without the needing for root.

I never fancied much owning an Apple device until I purchased an iPad which introduced me to the whole ecosystem. That's when I learned to enjoy the best of both worlds.

Now I understand why many designers and producers favor Apple products.

i think ios more secure than android. im using ios for my own data securing. android is more playable, developable platform. its like a back yard, gaming testing pool.

I m using android for last 7 years. iphone is expensive that's very average mobile user prefer android because of affordability. Rest I dont think there is anything on iPhone which is not available on android phones.

Keep aside that iPhone are expensive and have more security. Don't you think that iPhone user interface is more user friendly. The way the apps are arranged, the style and everything is perfect and with so many customizations of Android, none can provide a UI which is equal to IOS in terms of ease of use.

I agree with you! I also have both for exactly the same reasons as what you have say. Both have their advantages, it's not fair to say that one is better than the other.

As an Android user for about 7 years now, my opinion is probably a bit biassed. Obviously, I side with Android more as it is the cheaper option of the two and offers a lot more possibilities when it comes to installing and even developing your own apps. However, I must admit that iOS is still better in terms of security, so the extra buck is definitely worth it if you feel like you need extra protection.

Almost 5 years right now Im still using iphone, Actually Im not the one buying iphone my sister give it to me on my birthday. I know they tell about iphone on how security it is so that's why I choose iphone than android. But to much expensive need more lot of money to buy iphone, Android are good also but in comes security they can easily affected.

I prefer Android, besides more affordable price. Android is also an interesting app.

All in all we will have more Android users than the iphone ones. As per the research, 75% of the total mobile users are Android based and 23% consists of the IOS users. I believe many people still want to use iphones but due to their high prices they are forced to use Android phones. If we make the iphones cheaper, many of those android lovers will shift to Iphone too.

IOS devices also can be hacked so why losing convenience, my choice will be Android which is more customized and lot cheaper than an IOS device.

I like to use Android mobile. Price is not high Android device.

I think am OK with android. I never really used iOS devices before. I suspect it was due to the fan boy thing that was so popular back then(I wonder if it's still popular today). I became an android fan due the ideals especially the open source ideal. I was alittle worried back then about using iPhone. This has stuck with me to this day.
Whether those ideals are still being upheld to this day, I don't know.

There is no best of both worlds when we talk about the topic of Android VS iOS.

Customization? Android
Ecosystem? iOS
Choices? Android

However, over the years, I have come to love Android, mainly because there is so much competition here that everyone is trying something new here.

I think that IOS is better than Android, because IOS has more advanced features compared to Android, and for a more charming and elegant design iOS

There has been a lot of news about the hacking of Apple's secure phone  ;D

They tell me that iphone not buggy, and I them push-button phone, too,, why to pay more? ;D

I chose android is not cheap and chose a smartphone because of its capabilities that allow me to do what can not be in the iphone.

i am an IOS user for many years and what attracts me since then?its because of the security apple company can give,but this is before the hackers learn how to break those securities.

nowadays the Ipads can re open the apple ID's even how secured apple gives to it and this gives me more concern now and thinking to change gadgets since there are already a hacking now.

For me I must like IOS but I can't afford because IOS is too much expensive otherthan Android, IOS is good in performance like playing games etc. Ios has a very good chipset other than Android so I must prefer IOS.

I like to using Android or smartphone. As it's easy to use.

its easy to use and compatible with windows os, one of my friends have iphone and want to transfer files to my pc but he couldnt do that, but with android phone you just need connect your cable to pc and you can easily transfer files to pc

He could either use iTunes or send through Drive if the files are larger.

But with Android you don't need to use any app to transfer files

True that, there's a reason why iOS is kinda "exquisite".

Imagine they even charge a premium for both the cables and charger. One time I remembered Apple disabling third-party cables just to shut off their competitors.

It's how they waste people's money

I love android - specifically all the phones not available in the US market.
I love mac os, but HATE iphones.

I've started with android and I really like it, I think I started using it since the gingerbread os. I've used an iphone which was sold to me and later on I gave it to my sister when I felt out of the place while using it and that gave happiness on her.

I'm used to android apps and I really can't compare the two because I mostly dwelled with android usage than iOS. There's more variant, models and brands for android.

Yes I just found out also most user have using a adroid device, Ill think it comfortable on them to use it. Even do in my country people in here walking in the street and even every places you can see some android user. Maybe the price of android are more cheap than IOS. Due more high price of IOS so many of us in here are comes from android.

those who use Android are smarter than those who use iOS  ;D :P

It all comes to the term "What do you get out of your device?"

iOS are smooth in running, have a good ecosystem and better security. Also have better gaming experience and less glitches in software. Better connection between hardware and software. And above all, Apple is very good in updates of software if your iOS device supports.

On the other side, Android give more things for less, more freedom of doing what you can do your device and customization. Ina ddition to it you can also But on the other hand your phone can be affected by virus etc. Optimization of hardware and software is not good than iPhones. On the other hand, there are more apps.

Result:
If you give edge to security and better software and can live with less apps. Then iOS is for you.
                                                        BUT
If you want more features and apps with cheap prices and can live with less security then Android is for you.

FYI,android devices will not be affected by viruses because its linux based operating system so security is not related to affected by viruses but both devices may not gives your privacy.

Android is coded in Java. And its "very" vulnerable to infections. There are news on malware removed from the Play Store on a regular basis.

exactly mate,IOS is the best gadget ever made for users and android is just for secondary purposes or for cheapest amount.

Playstore removed lot of applications when they violates their privacy laws it doesn't mean they are malwares.But android mobile can be hacked by sending application install links which doesn't affect anything on the device but can steal all the user data.

i use both IOS and Android.

IOS for my crypto usage because it offers more safeties and securities.


Android for my other apps,Games and other stuffs that i use for personal things.

Correct, but also many apps tend to perform maliciously after installing. You'd be surprised how many actually caught for click frauds and spying and unauthorized installs. Something common in spyware, adware and Trojan Horses on PCs.

But these things can't be categorized as viruses these are other data stealing stuffs and which is common in both IOS and android.

I did not heard about IOS device was hacked, Mostly always being hacked are those android device.
If you look at the features of IOS Ill think you will be believe about security on it.

I found out also that have some fake IOS device using some users and that kind of device was easily hacked.

I'm pretty much used to Android, but sometimes when I have a chance to use IOS it seems faster and smarter to me. However, IOS is also much more confusing, maybe it's just me though as I don't use it regularly

I choose Android for my phone because of its convenience and iOS for my iPad because of its security (for working purpose)

Recently facebook app on IOS device stole lot of data from camera without any permission from the user so it is enough to consider IOS also vulnerable to hacks?

Apple store is secure and you never need to worry about malicious applications. Also in andriod you have the option of downloading and installing programs via .APK which is a big threat for virus and malwares.



IOS is not confusing at all. Yes, you need to understand how itunes works to download or upload data in iphone but once you're familiar with it, it is an easy task.

I think all phone are demandable every person some people have short budget so buy android other think same people are rich so buy IOS so i think all phone the best people wise. but high security phone may be IOS very fast every future.

Yup, but one thing I dislike about Apple store is that once an app (you purchased) is pulled, you're screwed unless the device is jailbroken. Happened to a favorite game of mine.

And also the dreaded, "The developer has not updated the app to support the current OS"

Question is how do you know that things are not getting "hacked" on the other operating system when there isn't enough transparency? Open source matters most to me. If there is another operating system that is more open than Android, I will gladly choose it over android. It good to know exactly what is going on at the root level and how the codes work.

I like more Android but right now I'm using IOs just because i get a cheap iPhone, $50 for a 5SE wasn't a bad deal at all.

I like more android because it feels more like an operative system. For example, you can download a song, edit it, and then use it as a ringtone. Sound like a simple task, but it is impossible in iOS. And some other small things like this make from android a better Operative System (in my point of view).

both have advantages and disadvantages of each, Until now I only use an Android phone and have never used an IOS phone. I will still choose Android even though many of my friends say that IOS phone is better than Android, my friend said that the IOS phone's camera is very good but I'm not interested because I don't really need that cellphone camera, the application that can be installed on an Android phone is far more complete than iOS, this is my main reason for making only choosing Android.

I'm an android fan.
The reason why I don't like IOS is the fact that the IOS devices cannot be connected with a lot of networks.
The majority of devices have Android so it is better to have an android device.

I still choose Android because, the price is cheap, and today's Android also has a quality that is not inferior to IOS

The only bad thing about the iphone is that they are getting expensive on every new model release and there is no budget phone to target the lower end users. If we had more options in iphone models, many people would have bought it. Currently not everyone have enough money to spend more than 1000$ on a phone only.
