I think getting new people in to crypto is a good idea, maybe think about printing off paper wallets & sending a little bit of bitcoin to each one. Think of it like when relatives gift you with a card with money in it, it’s the same thing & it helps increase adoption.

Send $10 worth of bitcoin to each paper wallet, it encourages new users to get involved.

I also think this is the best gift, much better than a hardware wallet. What would you do if you were a no-coiner and got a hardware wallet? Most people would sell it online to people who have crypto but if you got cryptocurrency and saw it grow in value you might think about buying a hardware wallet yourself or ask for it next christmas.

They're both overpriced, there are cold storage wallets available even or mobile devices that are practically impenetrable (e.g. armory wallet). Similarly, there are even cell phones with physically segregated secure chips now, making them difficult to hack.

I think the best type of crypto Christmas gift is simply a paper wallet containing a sum of Bitcoin or ETH that could appreciate well, e.g. at least $50.

Other than that, a book on how Bitcoin works is also a solid bet, though there aren't many good ones that are not straight up boring.

Just kidding. It depends on who you're planning to give it to. For a fellow crypto enthusiast, gifting a hardware wallet or any other crypto-related merchandise would be acceptable. But I don't think people who are not into crypto would appreciate such gifts lol. For normies maybe gift them paper wallet/hardware wallet with Bitcoin in it. It adds incentives for them to learn more about Bitcoin, effectively introducing them into crypto.

Gifting is a practice that's been followed globally. When it comes to christmas more gifts reach the market to attract the consumers. Most of the gifts will be so fancy and doesn't have any real life usage. Christmas gifting should make changes to one's life or else it should give a learning. Such gifts were possible when one gifts bitcoin and related gifts. I wouldn't even bother going away from the forum to find something as attractive as a gift. Simply head over to the Goods/Collectables section, participate in an auction and bag then best limited gifts out there! The bags, mugs, T-Shirts are quite typical but Physical Coins, Cards etc sold in the Collectables section are quite a masterpiece.

On a side note, frame the Bitcoin-White paper in any design you want to and that will make a perfect gift for any bitcoin lover.

It's a good idea if you want to give that, but maybe you can give it if we understand about bitcoin. problems will occur if the given does not understand, so maybe the purpose of giving is not achieved.

If I were you, bitcoin itself is truly a great gift anyone could receive. Or you may create or buy some bitcoin keychains that are available in the market in that way it could promote bitcoin to those who are not yet know it. Im still thinking for other gift that I could buy using bitcoin and crypto related.

If this could be answered subjectively, the best bitcoin gift for Christmas for me is bitcoin itself. Especially if you are to give someone who are not a bitcoin enthusiast before, teach them to have their wallet and give them starting bitcoins so they will have initial funds for them to keep. That is the best bitcoin gift we could deliver to someone. But if the gift would be for me, I want a full bitcoin and blockchain tutorial, especially how smart contract works.

That's my wish too, to have at least 1 Bitcoin that I could hold for a couple of years until it reach the amount I am aiming for, and yes, it would be great and I would be happy if I can be able to have 1 Bitcoin, how I wish but for now since it is impossible to  happen, we will just need to work hard so that we can have Bitcoin from our own sweats that we can be proud of.

There's a lot of ideas you can give as a gift for Christmas. Any Bitcoin related merchandise is enough. I'd be honest, for me, If I were to receive a bitcoin gift, 1 bitcoin will do. I think it's a good idea. Money is a typical present, and while this one is also money, it's more creative than that. Figuring out how to use a paper wallet and what is Bitcoin is a step forward, and I believe it can also be exciting as a puzzle for a person who encounters it for the first time. This could be a good present for the winner of a quest game or something. The final step is to get the money out, so to speak.

This is great! Double purpose gifts and for additional crypto advertisement. These are nice especially for those who have been collecting bitcoin stuffs. I like the shirt its so chic. Well, its good to give this Christmas.

In past, someone who richest in my group maybe give other friend with Coin that ordered with logo of bitcoin and like Bitcoin physic. But as the value, maybe put some private key wallet that contain of some amount of bitcoin although not really big but can make it have more value. So they can open the coin and claim what inside with that private key. Maybe it contains of $10 -$30 in bitcoin.

Lol, that would be impractical but I like the sentiment behind it.  Maybe a paper wallet would be a better idea so as not to spoil the surprise in case the recipient checks his or her wallet beforehand.

I took a look at the article, and the one idea that caught my eye was the crypto voucher one.  I had never heard of that kind of service before, and I'm going to take a closer look at it.  Aside from giving gifts it seems like a good way to buy bitcoin with cash, which isn't always an easy thing to do.

The ledger nano s was probably the best idea, tho if the person getting the gift is really that into bitcoin, he might know about it and might own a hardware wallet anyway.  Still, it would make an excellent gift and doesn't even cost that much.

Best bitcoin gift for christmas? Maybe I will just wish for a ledger hehehe or even a good bitcoin physical coin or ethereum physical coin because I am collecting those kinds of physical coins as sign of my devotion to cryptocurrency and as sign of being a crypto enthusiast. I think the best gift would be a wallet with some Bitcoin in it for your friends and Loved ones. This is what we plan to do for our relatives next Christmas or on their birthdays. We have not yet decided. This is something I am thinking to purchase for my Wife this Xmas though or maybe in January for her Birthday. Giving a hardware wallet as a gift is good but for me, it would become totally useless if you're giving to the wrong person. As much as possible give it to the people that are aware of how to own and operate it.

I prefer giving a small amount of bitcoin as suggested and would ask the receiver to make his own wallet through known web wallets which he can explore while learning about bitcoin.

Kidding aside everyone really loves money lets just admit it, everyone needs money so giving money on Christmas will be a really good gift to anyone. No matter what age or what interests them as long as you give them money they will be happy for sure 101%. But the real-valued gift for crypto users is for sure secured hardware or cold wallet for storing cryptocurrency.

I think I would go for crypto vouchers but need to find shops that are issuing those vouchers. You can give it to your friends or colleagues or family that don't know about crypto and presto! This is a good way to promote crypto on them. They will try to find out more because they got it for free.

My principle in giving gifts is its usefulness. If my friend is a cryptocurrency user, of course the things related to cryptocurrency are the best gifts, as mentioned in the article. But if the person is not familiar with cryptocurrency then it seems that it is not on target.
This is a very good idea to introduce bitcoin to our friends who haven't used it.For friends who are familiar with cryptocurrency, giving gifts like accessories, t-shirts, hats, stickers, or other items is the right choice, make a unique and original design, it will be more special.

It is really hard to invite family members to join the cryptoworld as most of them are skeptical about the benefits of the blockchain. Bitcoin in our country is often tagged as a scam here in my place because of the negative news last 2018 after BTC reached its ATH.

If you are focusing into going for a real cryptocurrency present (considering bitcoin ofc) I would go for Trezor wallet.

Altough all those gifts sound could as started, hardware wallet would be the best thing.

Thanks for this thread, it gave me an idea. Christmas is coming fast and all I am thinking about gifts are the typical shirt, caps, wallets, and other ordinary stuff. I have a few friends who are also cryptocurrency users and supporters. I might want to go for crypto-related gifts to them. But I don't think I will buy them a hardware wallet. They are expensive to give to a number of friends. Crypto merchandise is a good and cheaper option for me.

I will go with cryptocurrencies and tees.

I think a mining rig, graphic cards and a book about Bitcoin is a bit of a stretch since I know most of the people I will be giving a gift that relates to cryptocurrency knows it all and even though I know they like to mine but I don't have that money to buy them one. Shirts and other mechandise is a good gift but what if you gift them a little bitcoins. That must be lovely. Also gift them some altcoins that will earn a lot of money or learnings. There is no better than gifting learnings.

I agree. Atleast the person that will receive few bitcoin or altcoin will make it as an initial fund to invest in crypto. It is so useful and it will surprise them.

yeah i think sending bitcoin as a christmas present is a good idea and useful especially for crypto users. of course they will be happy if under their Christmas tree we put a card and write merry christmas open your wallet I send some bitcoin to you.
but if our relatives or friends are not crypto users then I don't think giving a bitcoin prize is a good idea. better if we provide clothes or jackets with the cryptocurrency logo. at least they will later ask about cryptocurrency and hopefully they are interested and join in cryptocurrency.

If cryptocurrency could be converted or to gift someone bought using cryptocurrency, I think the best gift if it was for me could be a whole new set of computer where I could use to utilize cryptocurrency as well as investing and becoming more involved in trading activities. Also, I could be more active to think more possible ways to earn cryptocurrency if I have a new complete computer. This will be applicable to others as well, for them to be involved in crypto, give them something that they could use to utilize crypto such as hardware wallets, mobile phones and other electronic devices purchased through bitcoin.

It's the season of giving already and there are a lot of ways on how you can make your giving more convenient and less expensive. We just need to make sure that we are buying stuffs in bulk orders so that the price would be lower than usual. Make sure also that the gift you would give will come from your heart and you wouldn't show any stress as you give them. Avoid seeing them as incovenience and an add up expense, be happy and make sure that you'll make them feel the essence of Christmas.

These i would appreciate. The more exposure the Bitcoin logo gets, the better. Even if people don't know it yet, once they learn about it they might get a more positive reaction from having previously seen the logo ("brand" awareness).

If you add some message, it might be even better. Ie: "In code we trust", etc. But BTC alone printed on a t-shirt does wonders.

Hardware wallets, no so much. I think that's money better spent in either bitcoin or the aforementioned wearables.

Gifting an asic miner, well that's only useful for miners, i guess. I think its easier to just give them bitcoins and if they want to buy another miner they will.

Gifting a wallet with funds (the seed words) might be viable, if it comes with clear instructions. Do NOT use the term "paper" wallet as this refers to an older,  discouraged method that involves exposure of the private key, something you must always avoid.

If you want to gift a "wallet", in (physical) paper, just use the seed words (explain how important they are to keep protected). You may add some public addresses and QR codes if you want them to keep adding funds to it and keep it cold (and the instructions could even explain how to view the blockchain online).

You know what would be the best gift ?
Set your maximum limit of cash you wanna spend , then divide it by number of your close relatives , make those amount of paper wallets and give it to them , tell them how to use them , or Better .. let them find out that themselves , actually it would boost them about using cryptocurrencies and at the same time it would be totally different from the regular gifts that they would have received.

You gave the best suggestion!! You can help other people. Since Christmas is a season of giving. It doesn't have to include the logo or text with it saying Bitcoin. You can still maximize Bitcoin by giving gifts and helping other using your Bitcoin. You can also donate in charity through Bitcoin.

We always want to receive gifts but giving is something more fulfilling. But if you don't want or can't spend much, you can teach others about it. Sharing your knowledge can help other as well. If it helped you financially, why not share it to others.

There are many ways to express happiness at Christmas. The articles pinned by the OP were quite inspirational, with gifts in the form of accessories or knick-knacks relating to cryptocurrency would be unique. But it should also be considered about the meaning or not it for others, the idea is very effective if the friends we give are familiar with cryptocurrency. But for others, it's better to give a normal gift as in general. Make a small party or treat someone close to you, it's quite fun.
