Title: [SCAM] LeedCoin-plagiarized content
Post by: Rikafip on December 22, 2019, 09:44:00 PM
What happened:  LeedCoin plagiarized one project from earlier this year, Vulcoin. There is no mention of team of course, not even whitepaper of some sorts, so all this is just some quick attempt to get money.

Vulcoin website:  https://worldcryptocoin.io

As it can be seen, they copied whole basic explanation from Vulcoin. They were so lazy that they even copied  typo (qhark) and some graphics.

It's quite clear that both websites have used same template. I am not sure if this content included on template that they bought. If this content included during buy the template then both of them could use it since they are paying for it and didn't steal by the way. So in my opinion, should not call plagiarism for that website content reason that you provide( if there is plagiarism on whitepaper then different case). Can you please check original template if content exist there?

Regarding team, I won't mind if there is no team. This is crypto world and anonymity is the main concept here. So this isn't an issue if they didn't used fake team. Because whoever will invest on it they are fully aware that they sending their fund to a anonymous team who could easily exit with funds. But usually investors are not encouraged to invest on such as projects.

Leedcoin  website layout is indeed   similar to Vulcoin,  but that's not the reason why i made this thread. If you check the only explanation of LeedCoin that i showed in the first post, it is a word for word copy of Vulcoin, they just inserted LeedCoin instead Vulcoin. On top of that they even copied their typo (I guess that Qhark instead Quark is typo, someone correct me if im wrong).

How can  project explanation  be part of  the website template? On top of that, that is the only explanation of their project. No whitepaper, no onepager, no nothing really.

This looks to me like a bad and lazy attempt to make a few bucks and then disappear.

<snip>

Looking from the source, it is quite clear that these two websites do not use the same template. They are not even on the same platform. One is pure HTML/CSS while the other uses WordPress CMS.

Vulcoin website: Cryptoking ICO HTML Template by Bestwebcreator - https://bestwebcreator.com/cryptoking-landing-page/
Leedcoin website: Crypterio WordPress Theme by StylemixThemes - https://crypterio.stylemixthemes.com/

Besides, since when does the content of the page have anything to do with the design template used? Of course, the template may contain graphic elements that can be used in the content, but this cannot in any way explain identical textual content. LeedCoin website is obvious plagiarism and very likely scam attempt.

Thanks for explanation regarding websites, i am definitely not an an expert in that area. But yeah, as i said before, even if they had same template (which we now know they don't) it still doesn't give them right to obviously copy material from original source.

Copy someone else's SCAM project and present it as your own? It's the only way to keep it halfway honest.

Haha , not a surprise really, considering the amount of time invested in making  Leedcoin. They would probably  copy the team section as well if Vulcoin didn't remove that part from their website.
