Hey! Happy Holidays everyone.

I have some excess (not much) Merit and figured what could be better than give it to those in need. Therefore I figured I'd make this thread (hey you found it).

Now, I have one simple rule: One account = One merit. All I ask for you to do is say something nice about any other forum member and I'll award you one merit. It can be anyone even if you know them or not, if they are here now or were here before - just say something nice and I'll reward you for it!

So I want to say about you. I love the design of your signature campaign management service post. I think you are a good designer. Another thing I like about you is that when you post a signature campaign, you design posts according to the color of the brand. You can design posts very well.

Theymos, yes theymos, maybe he's not too quick in implementing new suggestions, but when i look at how he runs the forum, i just have that feeling if it was run by someone else, we could be somewhere down hell(a place our dear forum doesn't deserve to be in).

Well the person I wanna acknowledge here is Heisenberg_Hunter (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1564795). When Indian section was almost on the verge of turning dead and inactive, he started appreciating and meriting any post in Indian section that contributes to quality discussion. As a result, Indian section has now turned comparatively more active and have many quality threads. Also, he consolidated resources for new Indian crypto users in a thread and that thread is undoubtedly best thread in Indian section. He's merit source now, btw. :)

I have always admired the growth of DdmrDdmr (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1582324) on this forum in such a short space of time on the forum. He recently crossed the 3k merit mark.

I can't but mention bob123 & BitCryptex whenever it comes my bitcointalk educational journey. They both are pretty much helpful, I have been helped learning a lot of technical stuff of bitcoin by them. Sorry, I name 2 because- I can't but; the list is never ending though.

I wouldn't single anyone out, but i  would rather mention  people that are busting scams on bitcointalk forum!

xMas period is often about remembrance. Giving memory a rattle for names I recall from the early days on the forum (different from those consolidated at the time), I recall specifically three out of the top of my mind:

Paxmao (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1192397): He was very active at the time on my local board, and my first meriter, who contributed in a selfless manner to keep my local board lively. Currently pretty inactive (reality bites I guess).

Gothorum (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=674078): Similar to @Paxmao, I recall him as a vivid participant on my local board. Currently banned.

Theyoungmillionaire (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1180530): I recall often enjoying his posts, and interacting on the forum with him, giving a dimension to what international forum means.

Does this mean I'm a member of "The merit Club Whore of Fame"?

Because of them, there's a lot of forum members (including me) that have a small part-time job that a good help when it comes to financial needs (those who are joining and wearing signature campaign). Not included in friendly person type when you meet him at the first time.
The first impression that I felt that he was an arrogant people, bulliers ... can be categorized into minions (very annoying!, always disturbing gru).

After being friends with him for a long time, about almost 2 year ... well, everything changed. He is kind of a fun guy, helpful and an open minded person. Till now, he is one of trusted person in my list (Although this annoying behavior still exists).

Finally, Merry Christmas to you my senor @dkbit98, may your life always be in God's blessing and all your goals are achieved in 2020. Amen.

I have to admit that I actually have a lot of positive to say about this forum, I entered the forum like how I think i'm IRL as well, I do not have some real fake internet personality maybe a bit more polite as IRL cause here I know all kind of ages can be reading so its better to not always go out of line imo...that said...
I entered as a total internet/forum n00b now i'm slightly better but still a bit on the n00b-ish side though what I did remember is that the first place I wrote in and read was the WO-thread and at the start a few gave me a hard time, doubt that I was gonna do what I was telling etc (understandable) but mainly the most welcomed me with open arms like I was already a part for much longer time and I appreciated that a lot, this still is the same with the recent new guys that I have seen entering the WO-thread, for collectibles I had the same experience...
Have hold some good relations out of this forum as online as IRL and for sure LFC is the member I talk the most with IRL he did became a true friend!!!

This forum learns people a lot about BTC, but goes faaaaaaar beyond that as well, be online be here and discover for yourself!!!

I'd like to spend a good word about some of the WO regulars. I'll limit myself to some of the legendaries.

Last of the V8s has uncanny access to all kind of information and he's fast in his replies/retorts/repartees. One of the pillars of the WO as far as actual information goes. Besides that, the scantily clad ladies he selects for our sore eyes are always top notch. Which helps a lot in times of trouble (or double bottoms).

gentlemand has a twisted, spicy sense of humor and seems to prefer understating his understanding in most cases. He never wastes a word.

Globb0 is another fine humorist. His banter is unfailingly able to make me laugh.

There are many more fine gentlemen over there of course. micgoossens our champ has been mentioned already. HairyMaclairy most reliable analyst and general pundit. JayJuanGee, wordy Batman fan and small type abuser. Too many to mention. Last but not least, let me drop a final name. JimboToronto the "Go Bitcoin go" guy. He's one of the seniors and a role model for many.

Agree on this one, achow101 has saved my ass a couple of times. Once I thought I’d lost 17BTC. They were deducted from my Core wallet balance when I sent a transaction. The wifi signal dropped just as I sent them but they weren’t in my other (receiving) wallet.

Any way to cut a long story short I had to sendrawtransaction in the debug log. Without being a techie I would have taken a long time to figure that out myself. It was near the ATH of 19,xxx so that was (still is) a lot of money.

The Pharmacist - almost always I agree with his thoughts. And he can express it so well, so I don't even try to post on thst topic because I know that I can't make anything better.
Ok, another one - hilariousandco - he is great moderator with rational and cool head. Also, he makes EPL and CL prediction pools each year, which gives lot of entertainment for  us. Big thank you for it!

I did at least one good thing on the forum, donated $50 + to a charity which allowed some children to receive Christmas presents and help the homeless. I think this is the least we can do, children are the most vulnerable part of human society and deserve special attention.

In two years since I joined Bitcointalk forum I get to know a lot of new and interesting people, and some of them became my friends.

He was one of the first in my trust list.

He's inadvertently challenged me to see my own racism, xenophobia, and antisemitism all the while keeping our moonboi's in check. He's a well educated person who believes in what he says and refuses to filter his speech for any type of popularity. Unsavory and ignored by many yet a recognizable cog to the Wall Observer.

I would like to thank edwardard.That guy really helped me back in 2017.
Unfortunately,he isn't very active on the forum during the last 2 years.

I would like to say few good words about bounty manager bubbalex.

Almost every he manager goes on exchange, after campaign is ended - he still supports the topic and answers question on telegram (till the rewards are distributed).

Bubbalex is young, maybe that is the reason he manages campaigns with payment in tokens. Hope that he gets more experiences and project starts to trust funds to him (that will allow to manager campaigns with payments in btc/eth).

My favorite people here in this forum is of course Theymos, which comes at first, because I love the way how he acts and his leadership through the years, and second is Deisik, I love the way he post which is my inspiration since 2017. Whenever I get bored or feel like there is something missing about my post that is needed to be upgraded, I will just visit his timeline to enlighten my moral up, and it always work.

I want to thank DdmrDdmr and Nullius for sharing their wisdom on this forum. I never encountered Nullius, as he was long gone when I became active here, but I read all his posts. He is an example for many.

DdmrDdmr is a great statistician who also helped (and still helps) a lot. Not just the forum but also many members, part of them being complete strangers to him.

Besides, what I found extraordinary about them, is that they are the only members I observed so far to have a merit vs activity ratio of over 4:1. Having more than 4 merits for each activity proves their outstanding knowledge and help brought to BitcoinTalk!

I'm grateful that Hhampuz has offered many opportunities for other members to join the sig campaigns, and pay on time. I can't imagine the hours grinded screening thru every post for every member in every campaign.

Meanwhile, Cryptobraineurboss has grown so much since his debut on the forum. From 357 to nearly 1k Merits from contributions, he's one of the most inspiring members to look up to.

NotFuzzyWarm - Funny cantankerous way about him; also extremely helpful while getting started
Kano- Has always answered questions I had regarding mining and transactions, goes above and beyond in helping troubleshoot pool/miner issues.
Allinvain - Old schooler, was a great sounding board for me in late 2017 into 2018. Had no idea how long he had been in the game when I began selling him hardware. Has been a great contact throughout the years.

Yep, they're both great members of the forum.  I don't see philipma1957's posts that much anymore since I don't really frequent the mining boards as of late, but I know he brings a lot of knowledge and experience to newbies.  And LoyceV's data assembly and crunching abilities are epic IMO.

He is always interested in seeing that, bitcointalk's main purpose does not go to the dogs. He would love to see a forum that still discusses the economical aspects of bitcoin in the current situation among other things.

- Vod - Wel,l bpip.org is proof enough

- DdmrDdmr - Another statistician who has done a great job analyzing forum data.

- Hhampuz and Yahoo - Any bitcoin signature campaign participant can relate to this two guys. They put signature campaign management bar to another level

- ICOethics, Witcher_sense, CoolCryptovalator, Lovesmayfamilis, JollyGood - If you have been a scam accusation board regular, you've probably known what they do by now. They burst scam for fun.

But Steamtyme was the one that provided the answer or I'm i mistaking here someone should enlighten me.

for future reference you can always use modular arithmetics without needing to go to next block. it would work like this:
- start numbers from zero (as you have already done)
- take the final number (the biggest, which is 84 here) and that would be your mod (lets call it p)
- take the hash of the final block and compute "hash.ToInt mod p"

that way no matter what the number is, the result will always be between 0 and p which is what you wanted. although i am not so sure how 09 was calculated here.

I only recently noticed BPIP is no longer live. Shame, it was such a good tool. I enjoyed following where I rank in the various categories like merit received, most recognised, most trusted etc.

I'll say it out loud since apparently nobody else is brave enough to say it: Almost all of the users who mentioned Zepher need to be rewarded not with merit, but with negative ratings. They have no idea who he was, nor did they care about it. If you were familiar with him, we would recognize your username in >99% of the cases. If you thought that we wouldn't notice then you truly are stupid fucks. Most people here are mostly pretend and act nice, look the other way here and there. This includes the supermajority of DT members too, and this is sickening.
Therefore: Fuck every single one of you that tried to use Z to get merits.

@fillippone (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1852120) - "Good thread creator". He is the good thread creator. I have seen many good threads and I have been following it.

@Coolcryptovator (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1980983) - "Good Truster of Bitcointalk" - He is the most trusted member of the forum whom we all can trust.


The list is more but I have shortlisted these profiles among those. My salute to all the members who are contributing to this forum and helping the forum to build.

I just want to give thanks to our moderator in our section @Mr.Big and also for @Dabs, for helping our section to be better and stronger.

Because of a busy lifestyle, I quit the platform and some of you already experienced that. Now that I'm back, I've always found our moderator doing his best and now he's just one. I hope our section will have another mod.

I do not know any of the forum members personally but seeing there posts and their presence in the forum, I would like to tell something about the following members:

"Newbies God" - I would say @OgNasty (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=18321) as the god of Newbies. He always encourages the Newbies and give merits to them for their posts. I have observed many of the Newbie threads or post where OgNasty has given a merit.

"Useful Thread Creator" - @tbct_mt2 (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1096237) is one of the forum Members who create useful threads which are useful to everyone in the forum.

"Warner" - @Baofeng (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=984384) will create warning threads on the forum. So that everyone will get alerted before it harms them.

"Pantomath"  - @ETFbitcoin (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=359716) looks like he knows everything and wants to know more.

I would like to give Thanks to our Administrator Theymos for keeping this Forum alive and well as without Bitcointalk i would not be so informative about Bitcoin or any other Cryptocurrencies.

It really helped me out so much i can't thank enough.
Specially this great Community as well, there are so many people that helped me and i would need a day to thank them all.

There are lots of people who are worthy to be mentioned here and I can't mention them all but I still say something to those who I really thank for what I have achieved. First, Hhampuz one of the best campaign manager but so sad for leaving the campaigns and we respect. Theyoungmillionaire who are always guiding me what to do and what to avoid. Pandekulana2712 who gave merit for believing that I can do something good too. Theymos, a great person who never got tired of managing the forum and finding ways to keep the forum good same as the officials in the forum. DdmrDdmr, for believing that some of my post are worthy to reward merits.

There are lots of members deserve to be mention and praise but this are i think deserve a lot of respect

@Lauda: He or she is one of the most active member of this forum. Lauda always work for this forum. Also Lauda is a successful bounty manager. Lauda is a real fighter against scammers and working 24 hours to keep the forum safer for community users.

I want to thank Arteezy.rtx ,a very good bounty manager in bitcointalk forum and hope he will continue his job in this new year.

My favorite member and manager is yahoo62278. I do not know how he find a free time, but he always ready for some attention to almost each member on the forum. Last days I've tried to join one of his campaigns and he wasn't lazy to write me a PM where he explained me why he cannot accept me. From my experience I say, rare member would do the same thing. Add to that he always replies with respect to each member. I haven't ever seen he would be rude with anyone here.

Hey Hhampuz, you're still giving away free merit?  ;D  That's really kind of you since merit is needed in order to not be a newbie anymore. Keep up the good work. (No, of course I'm not here for the merit.)
