My stack went all the way up. From btc. Then I saw my stack crashed down lol. It was amazing. But yeh still got a chunk back from hodling in 2017. I have been buying the whole year from 11k down. Little by little. I stayed for the 2020, 100k price well that didn't happen. Let's see the halvening now. Also stayed for the 1 million price prediction. I feel stocks is running n gunning at a good pace. But I'm still stacking satoshis.

You looked forward to a 100k bitcoin in 2020(the start of 2020 I assume), and now you're looking forward to a 1 million bitcoin price prediction, and also now hoping for a price increase in the halving. If you actually really think of bitcoin as a good investment, you need to think more long term.

Not sure about you, but I'd personally prefer a slooow but steady uptrend as time goes, rather than a huge ass bubbly price spike. Remember what happened after the peak of December 2017? Yea, I wouldn't want that.

My bitcoin experience from the past 2019 was not always good and it is so many up's and down's that happens in my life in which result that I quit for a month and I have realized that I still need this bitcoin world in order to get my wants and needs. I am very happy that bitcoin gives me light on the darkest days of my life in which I am able yo down on so many debts but this bitcoin gives me hope and etc.
Although bitcoin is not in the stable form right now we must just wait until the market becomes good again and recover from its down due to the fact that many projects are getting bad reviews. I hope this year 2020 will become a good year for all of us.

Well, this year 2020 is promising! Many events are coming, the Bitcoin halving, the war between stablecoins, the differences between the US. UU. And China, without a doubt all this has an impact on Bitcoin, also some countries with high inflation rates are rapidly adopting Bitcoin, some economists are already talking about a possible global economic recession similar to that of 2008 and many Bitcoin price predictions for Heavens, the best option is to invest in Bitcoin and Hodl.

Well welcome back to btc forum bitcoinsc!
You're senior than me, i was join this forum on April 2019 and still keep learning now
Stock and bitcoin is two kinds of many digital investation in cryptocurrency.
I think bitcoin is more profit than stock because in bitcoin we don't need the third person or middle man. But, bitcoin is more risky than stock.
I also not make you to investing all of your money to bitcoin. We need to manage our money to investing a many kind of cryptocurrency. You can choose 2-5 or whatever you want. Its to avoid losing all of your money. So don't put your eggs in one basket.

Bitcoin experience in 2019 was quite good, but what I made didn't benefited me. Hope the year 2020 will benefit me out of the investment and the savings planned for the year will grow good. Big expectations were there for the year 2019, but the outcome didn't meet the expectations. Possibly the year 2020 will bring big growth based on different factors, particularly halving.

I would just advise to continue stacking BTC and don't bother to look at the price because it might affect you mentally. So it will be better if you're going to look for long term and don't be focus on that $100k or even $1 million price prediction.

Halvening is just like months from now, better continue what you are doing. The sooner you save BTC, the better and we should remain positive despite our ups and down in crypto sphere.

I did the same thing to buy several altcoins that have the potential to follow the price of bitcoins, I usually buy them little by little when the prices are cheap, although there are some altcoins I bought it expensive at that time and is currently declining in value in my portfolio, but I still hold it hopefully this year it will be good luck for old altcoin holders, just pile up when it's cheap

bitcoin is not a rich quick investment with only 2 years dreaming of prices at 100K is actually good but you have to be patient for that ,we all expect growth to increase when halving later 2020 is waiting for good news for bitcoin yes but this is early 2020 so don't be in a hurry to draw conclusions expect 100K or 1M ,your 2019 experience should provide more benefits for your investment

Yes, it is best to expect this market to grow slowly because it will make this market more stable and prices will be less likely to collapse. I still remember 2017 after we experienced a sharp price hike soon after that prices quickly collapsed. So I don't expect that situation to happen again in the future, we invest long term in this market so we don't need sudden growth spurt.

Putting your money into different cryptocurrencies is NOT diversification. Most coins and tokens are completely dependent and moves along with bitcoin's price.

You want to diversify? Invest in a business, or other assets in a different industry.

Hey I'm back.

for your post history you were 6 months without making any post, this is a long time outside the forum, welcome back

I had too much in alt coins ,tron, and didn't gain much of it.

Altcoins are causing a lot of losses to investors, I wonder if the creators of altcoins are still holding their own altcoins

Let's see the halvening now. Also stayed for the 1 million price prediction.

Do not believe these overstated forecasts, $1 million is a lot of money, it is possible that even 100 years from now the price will never reach that value, focus on more realistic forecasts like $20,000 or $30,000 within 5 years.

The good thing is that you collected lots of bitcoins in different price ranges below 11K. I hope you bought majority of the coins between 7- 8K and keep on holding them. I see that 7000-7200$ is the bottom for bitcoin and it will remain above this price. Halving and other events may pump the price so you are in a good position to grab the profits in near future.

No matter how was the experience in last year, don't look back in the past but forward in the future.
2019 wasn't too exciting for Bitcoin and the price didn't reach the hights many wished but still ovearall it wasn't so bad.
New year brings new chalenges like halving, further attempts for Bitcoin regulations and adoption so let's wait and see what will that bring to us.

I think in 2020 bitcoin won't reach $ 100k that's too high. at the moment the value of bitcoin is still at the level of $ 7k it is unlikely that bitcoin in a year will soar to $ 100k.
and for my experience in 2019 not so bad although most of altcoin has decreased by 50% I still benefit from the ICO project that I participated in and bitcoin also had time to pump in mid 2019. hopefully this year's bitcoin halving day will bring good changes to the market cryptocurrency.

My experience with bitcoin in 2019 was quite good, because I had made a big profit when in July 2019. At that time bitcoin had risen
to a price of $ 11k. Although in fact my expectations in 2019 bitcoin could be at a price of $ 20k, but overall I was quite satisfied with
the performance of bitcoin in 2019. Now we are already in 2020, therefore we must make a new target. Which one the target should
be better than 2019, and I'm very optimistic that bitcoin can reach $ 20k in 2020. Because there are a number of events important in
the crypto world for 2020, one of them the halving events that is expected to make the price of bitcoin rise.

2019 is a roller coaster, there’s a pump but there’s also a dump which makes the market very volatile and my 2019 is not that easy. Make your expectation this year a more realistic because $100k is still unpredictable. I’m starting my year with a very positive vides about cryptocurrency, hope my year will end better this time.

the conditions are currently less favorable because the average coin price is decreasing, especially if you leave the forum since 2017. the current conditions are indeed very different, and we must persevere to wait for conditions to improve like 2017 because at this time I am still thinking to survive, and waiting for the market to improve again

2019 wasn't the best year for altcoins but if you're the type of person who knows how to deal with every market situation, you will still be able to earn a good profit. This year was challenging yet enjoyable for me in terms of trading and investing because it's always like a roller coaster ride. I'm looking forward to the best market situation this year.

I think it is not that bad, their prices just do not meet our expectation.
But we do not see that what happened last 2019 was just the same as previous years in crypto. This year was really challenging since we experience a different situation where it feels like the crypto market is the one who control us.

Last year was not  a good year for most of my investment plans. Did not see much loss neither wins but at least we have are blessed to see 2020 and hoping to see major developments in this industry which will drive the market insane again with investors.

On the other hand i have also been filling my portfolio with some good coins that have working product, waiting patiently for these developments to put in place plans for serious marketing which will bring on board several investors as well.

in the last few years the condition is bad and fortunately at the end of 2019 we can enjoy the results of the bitcoin pump a little. and maybe at the beginning of this year we can plan even better because there is a good possibility that will happen, this year is a hope for crypto users and I hope it will benefit many people too

I hope those people who think that way already learned their lesson with the past couple of years we've had bitcoin not showing its power to grow. The market gained a lot of investors, most are toxic on which they wanted their investment to instantly gave them a huge profit taking no time under the crypto. This coming year there will be organization that will issue signals, don't fall for those.

If 20/20 means clear vision, then let's hole 2020 will be a clear year for all Bitcoin politics and undergoing. 2019 was very regulatory as it should have been because more institutional investors are starting to pool in and invest. How long before we actually get to see an ETF get approval, or for clearer regulatory guidance within all sectors of finance, not just from the IRS or SEC, but guidance from all of those bodies?
Let's make 2020 the year of the Blockchain, so I hope the regulators get the ball rolling!

Same,  it wasnt that good compare to what it is last 2017. Because the price of bitcoin wasnt that high.  When it comes to profit, I only earned few bitcoin from signature campaign because it was hard to join signature campaign. But all in all Im still happy that I earned money last year with the help of bitcoin.

In my point of view, the year 2019 is not really a bad year for Bitcoin though I would not also say that it is the best ever. Compared to 2018 which I considered as the winter year for Bitcoin, 2019 is not that awful. We have seen some good news on this industry and there was even that temporary spike brought on by the Chinese. In 2020, we are looking for a better year because of the halving but there is no guarantee here also, anything goes. We can only hope and wish for the best for all of us.

I think it is good decision that you have purchsed a lot of cheap altcoins because this will really be a big thing if the bullish market will come after halving. 2019 is not really bad at all though we barely saw it pump and mostly in dump state we could still use this disadvantage to buy cheap coins and earn profit as bull market comes.

I really wanted bitcoin to be used as a currency rather than an asset but things don't go our way every time. I don't bother about the price fluctuations since I just try to accumulate as much BTC as I can while I spend the rest for daily living. It has been a really good journey all this while and I am really happy to get involved with bitcoin since it provided me an opportunity to work part time and earn income.
Bitcoin has really improved my life a lot. I wish bitcoin becomes a global currency one day and if it doesn't then it will at least pave way for better currencies to change the traditional financial system.

I stayed out of the trading since April 2018 and that was a good decision I think. 2018 was the highly bearish year. Price kept on correcting throughout the year with no sign of recovery. But in 2019, if you look at the chart. Price made a decent recovery and hit the high of $13k from below $4k in the year start. I resumed crypto trading in June 2019 and was able to take out profit when it hit the high. Overall I can see Bitcoin growing organically and hence, would call this a good year for Bitcoin.

You'd start when the bitcoin starts at the high value of bitcoin on 2017 I think you'd joined because you heard a lot from bitcoin. As 2018 a lot of people do scared to invest because of the price. They panic sell because they think that there has no way to recover as fast as they can. 2019 recovered bitcoin but now still doesn't meet the highest value so this 2020 I think it would continue from slowly pumping up.

The expectation you have about the price of bitcoin is really huge and i am not expecting that kind of price in the near future as i do not want to see a price so high in a short period of time and that been said i am expecting a rally after the halving but that does not mean that it will happen this year, if you look at the past charts the rally happens after one year after halving and if i have to assume that is the case i am expecting a rally by 2021.

Same strategy for stocks just hodl 10 yrs plus. I could of cash out and paid half of my loan. With my losses in BTC in 2019.I went and bought a beemer  m with the gains I thought I had but never cashed out. Lol.

Even I can't assume that a price increase of up to 100k will happen in less than 5 years, I think it's an exaggerated hope if you still think such a large increase can happen in the near future. With experience from every moment that has been passed in the previous year, then at least this year can make us more patient, because if your expectations are no longer achieved this year about halving that will happen, then we must be prepared for unexpected events later.

Welcome back then.

You should forget first the $1,000,000 prediction. It is too high to realize that it will actually happen soon. $100k, well we might see that coming within the next few years
I am not discouraging you for hoping with the huge predictions made before.

But I just want you to realize the reality. I'm also wanting to see such tremendous gain for bitcoin but not unto that extent.

Well, Firstly, welcome back to bitcoin community as you were off for 1 and half year. Secondly, my opinion about 2019 in cryptocurrecies isn't that bad though, I just made a decent profit by buying some bitcoin each period of time. I bought also some altcoins but I didn't really get an interesting profit from it in the long term, I think altcoins are being for just trading to get a nice profit, otherwise I just keep holding and I will do the same in this year 2020 with a quiet change in the timing of buying bitcoin and other cryptos.

I feel stocks is running n gunning at a good pace. But I'm still stacking satoshis.

Good for you sir because you always been stocking bitcoin little by little. I'm in the same situation because i have no big capital to buy an instant bitcoin so i do also buy little by little to accumulate bitcoin. Now 2020 many are saying that bitcoin will goes up so i have a positive mind that soon bitcoin will boom. And i have faith that bitcoin can goes up to 30,000$ this year.

I also tend to feel overwhelmed by long bear trends and just like OP did like to take breaks from all the negativity.

For me it also was a good years because I was stacking coins all throughout the Autumn, especially at 6000 dollars and below. Once we broke above 5000 I took some profits and then again after 6000 and so on so now I'm sitting on my fresh stack of coins that I went back to collecting since October. If history repeats itself we'll have a pump to 10 thousand in 2020.

I haven't an interesting story about my Bitcoin experience in 2019 as everything looked rather too ordinary. I had a little amount of Bitcoin and kept holding it till the end of 2020 or a year after halving. I was not really sure to buy much because not all people looked confidence in the effects of that halving. So, I was trying to buy some but not too significant adding to my asset.

I got the same and bad memories in 2019, make me get trouble and keep frustrated if flash back and remember what happen last 2019 and how many time I miss chance with bitcoin and altcoin investing, new year become most motivate for me to get much profit again with bitcoin and altcoin, joined all bounty campaign and keep holding some altcoin assets waiting halving time for raising up to higher price,

I had bought some bitcoin at good price when it went down really hard last bear-market and had kept on buying little chunks from my salary in my full-time job. I am planning to buy as long as the price is stable and will be using it once the bull-run starts. Instead of panicking and being depressed during the crash, I had seized the opportunity to buy bitcoin ar cheaper price.

You are thinking that 100k$ in 2020.Isn’t it so high. High expectation is bad.Always expect low.I think bitcoin price will hit 20K$ in 2020.But it can't break 20K$. And I will not worry if bitcoin can't hit 20K$ in this year.

in 2019, I was a little disappointed with this forum, and bitcoin. because this forum is too many people who are dishonest, make bounties that are deceptive, and bitcoin continues to plunge freely. hopefully in 2020 this will be a revival for bitcoin .. !!

At least you seem to remain positive despite losing value in USD from your crypto investment. You are not alone. My 2019, not just 2019 to be honest, has been downward. The hype in 2017 made everyone buy at a high price. But despite losses, you are still stacking satoshis in your wallet. Same here. The night has been here for too long now. I'm kinda tired of waiting but I have to. I hope the sun is coming.

my experience in 2019 was quite good because I bought bitcoin in March when the price fell at $ 4000 then I held it for several months and when in July I decided to sell it at $ 11000 which was quite profitable. but my income from the ICO project dropped dramatically because some of the ICO projects that I participated in did not make money or scam. but I am grateful for everything that happened in 2019. hopefully in 2020 bicoin can pump even higher and make the altcoin market green again.

You are not alone on what happened to you, while I was not expecting the same prices as you at least I was able to recover some of the money I lost during the last crash and that is a good thing for me, I do not really believe the next year is going to be as positive as it is the popular opinion in the forum but if it happens then I am not going to complain and will ride the bull market until it dies out, just prepare yourself in the case the next year is not what you expect it to be.

About 1 million price, maybe if me i wouldn't think that high for now. But if you still believe, this 2020 worth to wait and like me i will wait until halving come and if profit i will be grateful. If not, maybe i take action faster to get worth value when sell my bitcoin.

Surely it was not a good investment when it comes to altcoins because they're just too many altcoins in the market dividing the demand of the investors making the market price to go down easily,

In my opinion it was still a good investment you just need to pick the right altcoin to invest to since the market was risky and volatile.

why not sold all you holdings in 2017?since you have mentioned that holding is from that year?you should have sell them all and buy back in 2018,i don't know why you are still holding now and yet looking for 100k value?that is a huge amount and i am sure Bitcoin will never Hit that amount this year alone.and for you not to feel failure mate for over expectation.but if you can still buy before may?then better do it continuously .

I'm also as optimistic as you are about the price of bitcoin 100k or 1M.
However, 2019 made me lose a lot of my funds in trading.
I hope 2020 will get better and realize bitcoin 100k ;D

The 2019 experience for me personally is not too disappointing because bitcoin gives me a good return, because I always make purchases when bitcoin falls sharply and sell it in small amounts when there is an increase because I prioritize savings to wait for the price of bitcoin to reach the highest price.
and I'm just a little disappointed with Altcoin because there were no significant changes or movements in 2019, and I have several altcoins that I've held for the past year and hope that 2020 is a good year for bitcoin and altcoin.

but if you expect high bitcoin prices then I think it will be difficult, we have to be realistic in having expectations because if not then expectations will never be reached. You need to look at the current conditions, and think of more realistic expectations. because for me if bitcoin reaches $ 20k it's good enough for this year

Oh I felt so envious :( because me? I have a not so good experience last 2019 here in crypto world because I lost some of my bitcoins in some forum. My account was hacked and I am very sad because my stack of btcs was still there and I wasn't able to withdraw all of it. Weekly campaigns are back in the end of 2019 that is why I started earning money bitcoin again. I am just hoping that this 2020, bitcoin price will bull run so that we can earn a lot even more.

Surely market price of bitcoin will soon increase in the market because the technology is also rising and the bitcoin is having a lot of influence in the online world. If bitcoin gets a lot of investors and users that should increases its demand in the market it will increases its market price in the market for sure.

I think you just need to be patient in your investment since it was a long term investment if you buy bitcoin on 7k$ down it should give you a good profit.

I also not make you to investing all of your money to bitcoin. We need to manage our money to investing a many kind of cryptocurrency. You can choose 2-5 or whatever you want. Its to avoid losing all of your money. So don't put your eggs in one basket.

Putting your money into different cryptocurrencies is NOT diversification. Most coins and tokens are completely dependent and moves along with bitcoin's price.

You want to diversify? Invest in a business, or other assets in a different industry.

I am afraid that it wouldn't be as good as investing into crypto though it is riskier over the other one but the opportunity or the benefits that I could get from investing to crypto is somehow far from the benefit I would get than investing to some businesses with such a low rate of income return. How about gambling? Either way I am betting when I invest, not totally different from the other option. Best to stick where I knew I would get the benefit the most.

investing in crypto has a high risk but the benefit of crypto investment is the level of caution in investing makes us learn about it. and when we can understand how to invest crypto then we will also have more profits too, so the risk is indeed high but the profits can be higher too compared to investing elsewhere

This could be your year, as well as all of the investors here. While you still hold a great number of Bitcoins, this coming halving could be your exit point to profit, though you must still have some left to hold, since the market is unpredictable and the new ATHs might be the new support level, who knows? 2019 might not be that good for investors, Bitcoin does need some real demand to keep it afloat.

Surely altcoins in the market have low demands in this cryptocurrency community for sure, even my altcoins investment didn't have a good profit in this year i think the altcoins just cannot be compared to the real bitcoin since it was just an alternative for bitcoin. I think 100k price could still happen when it comes to bitcoin since it is slowly recovering and just getting started in the coming years surely price might increase and soon going to surpass the ATH price in the market for sure if that didn't happened bitcoin will be dead.

In the previous year of bitcoin and another cryptocurrency, it shows an excellent marketable profit to all of the users. Still, today on the second day of 2020, the price slowly falling, and this is a good sign and opportunity for the investor; by this, many people now are holding their coins and going for a panic selling to secured their potential money. Many investors are now waiting for the middle of the month of 2020 because they are already predicted that the price of the market is ready to bump again with high valued money of bitcoin and altcoins.

Lol 1 million price prediction? From old man mcaffee? The guy's bluffing. Though he garnered attention, we'll give him that. 2019 was a bit stagnant for me. Probably because i don't really plan on being active. Just accumulating every now and then. Bitcoin is a project that will take years. That's my take on it at least.

I agree with the idea of slow and steady growth.  But sometimes a spike in price is a bliss if we timed it right because when it plummet, we can acquire more BTC to wait for another spike sell and buy at the bottom.  Rinse and repeat until such time we can acquire enough to sustain our next generations.

Bitcoin can still expand but when viewed from a very fantastic price now, it would be impossible if it moves fantastic many times, maybe but the chance is zero point.

If you are a holder then what happened is just a challenge for you. If you are patient enough, you will get great results, I think it is very difficult for bitcoin to reach 1 million dollars, so when if you have made enough profit you should sell them, don't be greedy and then you can lose everything.

In 2019 yesterday there was only a slight improvement for bitcoin, and altcoin has not been able to rise after considerable downfall since 2018.
In 2019, I didn't experience anything good in crypto apart from 2017 to 2018, so I hope that 2020 will be a good year in crypto.

Well, its normal to see ups and downs whiles you are in the crypto space. You just need to understand some basic principles of crypto ecosystem and the bitcoin market to be specific.  With these principles, you can understand why the prices raises and falls. Personally, i got to understand these principles in the later part of 2019 and they helped me understand the way I should invest....

Hey I'm back. haven't been on the forum for 1.5 yrs. Been on Twitter. But yeh 2019 was a good year for me in crypto.  1. I had too much in alt coins ,tron, and didn't gain much of it.

Honestly, my bitcoin experience in 2019 is a little bit the same in 2018 that we experience ups and downs in the market price, and some of our holdings decreases due to the downfall of bitcoin, that is why i hope that this 2020 bitcoin would start to have a good value once again for us to have a good profit once more.

I hope in 2020 the price of Bitcoin and cryptocurrency movements will return as it did in 2017. Where making money in the crypto world is very easy. Maybe 2019 wasn't my year because there were so many losses in 2019 for me. It's very difficult to get recovery from some Altcoin even though it's Top altcoin I guess. that's why in 2020 many hope for the better. 2019 is worse than 2018 I guess :-\

Welcome back to this forum, I think many of us also had the same experience as yours, The last year 2019 was not much lucrative year for me, but I had a lot of expectation from that year, basically, this forum was running on an average because of some bad momentum especially due to a lot of international policies and barriers, I hope this 2020 will be a good one for this cryptocurrency world and Bitcoin price will get a good part during this year, Bitcoin halving is very needed to this system.

Absolutely, we should do something that will help our mind to keep positive, let's not worry too much thinking of how much money we will earn, let's do our part by doing something for us to learn more and earn more and not by just waiting for the bull run again and wishing and hoping that your fund will be doubled or more.

Well there's not much happened for me in 2019 it's just a normal year, maybe because the price or performance of bitcoin is not quite good i end up buying more bitcoins and holding it until now so I was really hoping that this year will be a year with full of opportunities and good things will happen unlike in the year 2019. All I did in 2019 is just doing some job to earn bitcoins by posting because I cant also initiate in trading as I can't see a good moment if there's a good moment. Unfortunately, I missed it, but still, I'm being optimistic and thinking that someday or next year maybe will be the year that good things will happen in the crypto world, especially in bitcoin's performance.

as if this is possible since Satoshi don't even show up again for almost 9 years.so how can he stack satoshi to continuously allowed halving happening?
anyway we are too far from that 100k$ and that is too much to expect.
why not just be contented in even 20-30k$?

knowing the limits of hope is important, because expectations that are too high sometimes make us not get anything. in the term of $ 20k - $ 30k I think is good enough because the current price range of bitcoin in the hope of $ 100k is very far and does not make sense if growth can be fast.

100k $ per BTC after halving, that's really a great price that all current investors are looking forward to. But I am sure it will not happen this year or at least for the next 3 years. The current bitcoin price is still struggling at 7000 $ and there is a high chance that it will collapse in January. But until halving, I think the price of bitcoin will most likely reach 10000$ instead of 100k$ as you think.

I knew it would come for bounties to allocate low rewards but what I wasn't expecting is it will happen in early 2018 and I've decided to stop for a while with signature bounties because of that. Things are quite okay now with bounties but it isn't as high as it was back then. Does bounty having these days is worth of the time to invest with?

2019 was pretty normal year, but bitcoin's fluctuations were upsetting. I've bought some more of btc when the price were lower, but I'm still full of hope that cryptocurrencies will rise. I also invested in some altcoins: I bought some eth and a small amount of cdl token because I wanted to have lower fees on the coindeal. I'm pretty curious what will happen in the 2020

Isn't too much to predict $100 to $1m in btc's price? Yes, halving event is near approaching but the question is, will it really perform a bull run? If so, how far can it go?

2019's has many memories, learnings, experiences that I've also encountered. With those bear market that we are still experiencing right now, I proved that we can still gain benefits from it like margin trading, rebuying low price altcoins, etc. And 2019 for me isn't a bad year. In fact, I achieved one of my goal last year.

Stacking is good but invest only on the amount that you can afford to lose.Being too optimistic isnt bad but dont expect too much yet things you mentioned is hard.
100k? It takes time. 1M? It is somewhat impossible.Thing here is that you do accumulate btc no matter on what would be the price in the future but for sure you would
able to break even that 11k entry point of yours and by the way, welcome back to this forum mate.

Well it is a fact that Bitcoin will still grow in the future, we may not have a good experience in the year 2018 and 2019 but still doesn't mean that the journey for Bitcoin is still great! We just expected too much from it so we didn't notice the profit it gave to us if we bought from January 2019 and sell it last month at price of more or less $7.3k.

but if you expect high bitcoin prices then I think it will be difficult, we have to be realistic in having expectations because if not then expectations will never be reached. You need to look at the current conditions, and think of more realistic expectations. because for me if bitcoin reaches $ 20k it's good enough for this year
I have been very realistic in hoping that the price of bitcoin will be good in 2020.
Nobody can know about the price of bitcoin, I just hope so, because bitcoin has become more famous and the development of the times will follow.
So 100k in 2020 can happen. But that is still hope not predictions

I will assume that you are predicting that 100k will be reach this year right??

I'd rather see Bitcoin increase its price bit by bit than see its price rise like what happened last 2017. We saw what happened the next year after that happened right :D. You did the right move that you accumulate more and more Bitcoin for the long term. Just continue to do it. I don't want to expect too much with Bitcoin as the halving is fast approaching but if its price increase before or after that then well and good :).

For me, it is still good to see bitcoin's price increase too hard like 2017, but the decrease or decline is quite much netter if it is like the way you said, slowly decreasing so people are aware that it is going into correction, though in 2019, we haven't experienced such events like this, I am pretty sure we are to have a slow phased market increase now in 2020 because of market development and bitcoin halving in particular.

investing with new altcoin is indeed difficult because the risks in it are quite large. indeed at this time it would be better if investing only in the top coins because it has a good volume, then I think the risk will be less than the new altcoin. and I hope investments that are still in an unprofitable state can be profitable again this year in particular.

$100k is still far from our reach, maybe a little higher than the last ath will be more realistic than a $100k.

I do agree, I also want that way than we have a sudden pump. If sudden pump will come, we don't know how long will it last and when the correction in price will come, how deep will its price will drop.

~snip~

In 2019, the Bitcoin market has been really unpredictable, considering that I have always analyzed the market according to Wyckoff's theory, at some point I thought that the upward trend was going to start, but the analysis that I had throughout the whole year has been invalidated year, now I am waiting for what can be done, if it is a reaccumulation or if it is in accumulation and I must place the different points of the scheme in different situations, apparently halving, the adoption of Bitcoin and the series of events such as stablecoins, will impact The bitcoin market without a doubt.

For now it is best to be in Hodl, and expect some important movement, maybe you can be clear on what may come this year, although many analysts are already thinking that a good bullish rally can come at least up to $ 9k, according: https://www.newsbtc.com/2020/01/04/bitcoin-poised-spring-past-9000-coming-weeks/ (https://www.newsbtc.com/2020/01/04/bitcoin-poised-spring-past-9000-coming-weeks/)

Personally, I consider that the year 2019 had many surprises and opportunities, because the year 2019 brought with it a strong bullish momentum. Which this impulse had already begun at the end of December 2018, and extended until June 2019, month where a strong accumulation began that would change the bullish direction it brought. In April it was also the beginning month of a great bullish momentum in the cryptocurrency market in general. There was also a strong consolidation breakdown movement seen in Bitcoin; which managed to recover the positive expectation of the market, since the fall in capitalization was overwhelming. After the strong momentum, the price consolidated a bit in the form of a flag, but with a form contrary to the usual one, since in a bullish push it is expected that a flag will be seen as a bearish pullback. In May, the price made a volatile bearish movement, which ended up being just a candle with a large wick of rejection, reaffirming even more the control of buyers. Between mid-May and early June the price began to carry out bear formations.
At the beginning of June it seemed that Bitcoin was finishing forming a Shoulder Head Shoulder, however, the upward trend was stronger. June 2019 was the best month of the year for Bitcoin. This was the bullish momentum that caused the highest peak of the year so far. During the months, July, August and much of September, the price of Bitcoin was increasingly enclosed between increasingly lower peaks and a support that could not be broken. After the sharp break in support that kept Bitcoin consolidating for a long period of time, the downward trend was confirmed.
Finally I could conclude that 2019 had great advantages, but I am sure that this 2020 will be prosperous, and full of opportunities for everyone. We just have to be vigilant and take advantage of every movement.  8) 8)

True, people who already invested some on bitcoin, they're obviously gaining some profit because as we know that bitcoin's price increased a lot. I mean it was around 3k$ at some points of this year and it's increased to reach the 13k5 dollars again in this year, so you can make a huge profit if you were invested enough in bitcoin. I hope that this year will be amazing for bitcoin and for crypto thought.

My bitcoin experience in 2019 was really not that good to me because in the month of February i need to sell out all of my bitcoins that i don't even have a choice because i need to use the money to pay all of our bills and support our daily needs. I loss a lot of profit in my tradings, good thing that my friend lend me some money and help me to trade and i started to participate in a signature campaign just to have crypto without any investment.

Hey I'm back. haven't been on the forum for 1.5 yrs. Been on Twitter. But yeh 2019 was a good year for me in crypto.  1. I had too much in alt coins ,tron, and didn't gain much of it.

2019 is not the worse year for bitcoin if you compare it in 2018
in 2019 price of bitcoin already rise from $3000 at the start of the year up to $7000 before the end of the year
but for altcoin, we can say it one of the worse years because almost all the coin drop a large amount.
but the good thing is we all survive from it and we learn a lot from the experience

2019 was the year I only holded my portfolio of 5 coins, I barely did some trades, maybe 10 during the entire year
I had a lot od work to do on my job and the sideway market made me did this

I hope 2020 BTC reach a new minimum level, and I probably will hold for a long time

2019 was a ridiculously sluggish year, especially when compared to times past. I guess 2015 is a decent comparison but didn't have as much oomph from prior years. I think BTC, the economy, all the scam culture/protections and the technology has a lot of growing up to do. I think that that growing up will finally happen at some point in the 2020s. When, I'm not really sure. The fact is that there is simply too much potential capital growth and too many smart people in the same room working on problem solving and innovations to leave BTC/blockchain the dark indefinitely.

Basically, we have different perspective to treat the market whether to be the best year or not, I don't negate what you said about 2018 being the worse year for cryptocurrency but I just want to share my opinion about it. 2018 having most of the cryptocurrencies market price being low is one of the best year for newbies and those that haven't hodl volume of cryptocurrency. It is definitely a good entry for some to buy and trust the market, and looking up now at 2019, if we consider ourselves newbies, I probably could say 2019 and 2020 isn't the best year for us.

I am curious how did you lost more money during 2019 than during 2018? if anyone told me they lost a lot of money during 2018 I will not blame them or question their abilities since almost everyone lost money during that year, but how did you lost even more money in 2019 when it was a positive year for bitcoin and altcoins? Did you invest in icos? Because that is the only way I see someone having a losing year since icos have lost the hype and the interest they once had from the community.

changes to digital assets are always there. I personally have a little bitcoin that I bought in 2017. when prices are high. but I'm surprised in 2018 that assets will be reduced by more than half. almost gave up. but the journey of bitcoin is still long. so I keep holding. some altcoin like useless. but I believe in 2020-2021 things will change. Let's see. it will provide a greater profit.

That's for sure and as we can see today that their is movement in the price which we are unsure yet what is happening, isn't because of the history that every year if you bought at January and sell it every December you will gain more profit. Maybe there's a point like that, or because this is for the preparation of the people for the upcoming halving.

You already did the most difficult thing, you were capable of holding your coins during the huge crash that we saw in 2017, it will be a huge mistake to give up now when it is entirely possible that we are going to see a bull market during this year or during the next year, I know that it is going to be very difficult to hold your coins for two more years but if you want to obtain profits then that is something that you must do, just try to make sure to sell your coins for the best possible price so this doesn't happen to you again.

Definitely, because the bitcoin halving alone could possible drive the price of bitcoin to increase way up higher than before, and we all know that it is evident that when bitcoin's market price increases, the same goes to altcoins. So, to create a clear speculation of what price could we achieve for 2020, I highly believe it would be higher than before's All time low. Because for me, the improvement of the market will not be seen through how much its market price is, but how high the lowest market price it could reach in a year.

2019 was a pretty strange year we maybe saw the bottom around 3k and also a rise to above 10000$ again.
I am wondering if it still could test the bottom again, or that we are finally looking up again.
With the halving comming everyone seems to think we are past that point and that we are going to see new all time high's very soon.
I am still doubting about that, the halving is comming and that will definitely influence the price, I guess we will see what happens in the next 2 years.

You're really motivated to stock up, 2019 and before has been a roller coaster ride for all of us here, I also have the same experienced but there were a lot of lows than highs in the past two years, I'm still hoping that 2020 is a recovery year and so far that's what happens, but we are still 11 months in this year, so expect the unexpected I can only buy more and stock and hope we did the right thing.

Good prediction I must say but I would honestly prefer a slow yet steady growth on bitcoin's price rather an a bubble like what happened on 2017, it enticed a lot of people but had caused big dips right after that made it hard for bitcoin to recover. I'd say bitcoin might reach 25k to 50k this year but I won't hope much.

Welcome back and belated happy new year, OP.
There were quite a lot of things that happened in crypto especially for Bitcoin.
For the price, it is just "meh" but we're actually getting bull runs lately so I suggest you to stay and just keep hodling as you stack satoshis.

Keep accumulating as long as you are capable to buy those cheap coins around. We don't know what is the next directions we are all
hopeful that the market will bring much better run than last 2019. Experience wise best to wait and hold for more advantage when
the market start to pumped up.

Yeah, that wasn't a bad year from bitcoin at all. I mean the lowest price of bitcoin was 3500$ and the highest is 13.5k$ which it's like around 4 times of the lowest price in that year, so people who invested in bitcoin at the right time they'll find themselves getting a profit from this increase. It was really a good year for bitcoin but well are hoping for a huge increase of bitcoin's price in 2020.

Right now we are in a point in which it is very difficult to predict what bitcoin will do because it can take almost any direction, it is obvious that with the recent growth that we are experimenting people are very positive about the next movement of bitcoin but I'm not so sure, as you say it could still go down again because we still have several months left before we see the halving so all of that enthusiasm is bound to calm down and when that happens the price will go down as well.

I'm pretty sure that with the long time frame still have in bitcoin market before the halving, there is still a thought in most of our mind to expect that most people will probably sell their holdings and get the profit for the last 2or three times. Then followed by a market correct tion that will prepare each and everyone of us to buy the largest volume we could. With this, if ee plan to hodl bitcoin for longer time, we might miss the profits we should have even before the halving starts.

Seeing this, I think that the price of bitcoin in 2020 starts with $ 7000, and maybe the highest price can exceed 2019, and at the end of the year the price can stabilize at $ 14k. yeah, this is based on experience. however, there will be a month among the 12 months that has the highest price for bitcoin.

Yeah, actually you can see it already in many exchanges. A lot of sell orders around this range, so people are basically thinking the price will retreat. Which of course it will given how quickly it rose in this time frame. But the buyers also seem to be willing to get a bit more aggressive in this new year and they will probably have enough steam to last all the way til May.

if you are checking the value of your crypto assets from time to time then this may result to be in panicked, because it seems that you are not a  DayTrader right?

if you are really believing in Crypto ,then better keep the track at least some times, and if you really afford to lose just to Hold?then forget about invesment for months because like what you have said halving is near so just look again after May or by Ber monts come.

Yes, I totally agree, it's hard to predict anything right now. But I'm pretty sure that this year will be better for bitcoin than 2019... I hope so because I hold mine coins. The end of 2017 is indeed the biggest bubble in the history of bitcoin and it's very annoying, so our government has to make rules and policies for bitcoin holders. I don't want that to happen again.

I don't think it's a bubble, we will eventually reach another milestone, it's more like a correction, the market is maturing at that time, it's not only Bitcoin but even shitcoins get a huge pump at that time, but now that everything has settled down, there is still a chance for another all time high, but it will be slow and steady one.

Absolutely true even in this year very early stage market already going increasing gradually specially BTC if we looking BTC movement. Even i think in this year will be happen bitcoin halving so overall i think must be big changed in cryptocurrency market in 2020. But in 2019 wasn’t good experience for all of the crypto lover because entire of the market was bearish. Now we hope that bull run will come in this year.

The only thing which needs to be addressed regarding Bitcoin (and other cryptocurrencies) would be a ban for pump and dump schemes (like the one existing on the stock market for years by now). But this still would require a KYC for all the wallet owners...

Pump and dump scheme usually takes place with the new coin or a top 50 and below altcoin in the market. I agree that this kind of tactic has to come to an end because these scheme are closely related with fraudulent activity by fooling people to buy the specific coin. I doubt btc has also people behind trying to make a pump and dump scheme.

I agree that this kind of tactic has to come to an end because these scheme are closely related with fraudulent activity by fooling people to buy the specific coin. I doubt btc has also people behind trying to make a pump and dump scheme.

P&D have different scales depending on the trading volume and price of the crypto. With smaller coins (or even relatively bigger as with BSV this week) this can be few hundred percents in matters of hours or minutes, but for BTC you need whales initiating the trend to reach effect resulting by 10% price movement in 24 hours.

My experience with bitcoin in 2019 was not very good, because I passed a few important moments. When bitcoin was at the
lowest price at $ 3,500 I did not buy it. And when bitcoin was priced at $ 13k I was too late to sell it. I admit this is purely
a personal mistake, I hope that in 2020 I will not repeat the same mistake. So my advice is to be more careful in determining
the purchase price, try to buy at the lowest price.

I have known bitcoin since 2018, many of the altcoins that I get have no meaning because they do not have a market to exchange tokens. hopefully in 2020 bitcoin will return to a time where it was very profitable.

It is mainly because of two things, these altcoins aren't supposed to be created in a purpose of being profitable and useful, second, this altcoins are just merely created to emphasize that the project is innovative but in fact, worthless and with no value. My bitcoin experience in 2019 is quite steady, I haven't loss too much because I'e applied all the learnings I git from the bear market in 2018. Perhaps, my 2020 will surely be more profitable as I continue to hodl and save funds with cryptocurrency.

My experience in 2019 is not special, because I prioritize to make savings throughout 2019 and there are only a few bitcoin sales and even then only in small quantities because of sudden needs and sell according to what I need.
and so far I am more comfortable to make long-term investments in bitcoin and will not sell them in large quantities if the price of bitcoin is not satisfactory enough for me, because I believe that bitcoin will reach the highest price and I will be patient to wait for it.

Got scammed a few times. Learned my lesson well LOL

Excited about 2020 and being a part of history in the making.
I was scammed once either through the crypto MMM Japan scheme and i learned from there on that all ROI investment schemes always end up scamming their users.
With that been said, this year will be a good year for crypto investors but people still need to be more careful when choosing coins.

What do you mean about ROI investment? ROI stands for Return of Investment and that's what you get whenever you're investing to a company that legitimately pays. I assume you mean HYIP schemes? Since these kinds of strategy works well with new investors who thinks Bitcoin is a "get rich overnight" investment, and probably put a lot of monetary asset to a token which promised good returns.

My experience in 2019 mostly not good, scam project not listing coin and low volume become my pessimist to keep stay. End of the year many lesson I take and mostly about reach realistic target with safe ways. From this one I try to make myself clear about bitcoin and stay to keep going is better option. I have many garbage coin in my wallet but I respect it as my reward from hard work. Will try harder to find best solution with safety as priority, every activity not always about money sometimes we need involve into serious discussion about technology and future.

I certainly mean the "return of investment" (ROI/HYIP) schemes because the crypto scammers use the strategy to scam crypto users and like the saying everything that seems better than expected is definitely bunco because crypto scam is done in various ways but I'm not talking about dividends scheme because those are totally truth.

Well, that sounds clearer. These HYIP schemes never gets old and still running in my country. Infact, they are dragging cryptocurrency's reputation in believing Bitcoin could give them good returns consistently. Although they have been chased down by the authorities, but people are just too stubborn and still joined HYIP schemes secretly.
Anyway, we are going out of topic here, so yeah I'm just sharing some disappointments lol.

When it comes to experience with Bitcoin is quite good because I already invest some of my money on it when the price is around 3000$ - 4000$. Then, I know some of us have experienced different losses on that year but it seems other members also take the opportunity to invest more and it's because of the cheap and dumps price on the price. And, for this year I really want to experience like what other experience of having a bull run then I want to feel what is the feeling of having huge income because of the bull run.
