Just what the title says if you have $50k fiat ,will you put on btc or in bank ,which of them will give you bigger profit after 10 years? Your money will gain interest when you put in a bank, your already sure the amount will increase, or put it on btc and leave it for 10 years. Which is better?

It's a famous quote from Warren buffet " never put all your eggs in one basket ".
50k $ is a big amount. I would buy 1 or 2 bitcoin with this amount. Buy a house and put the rest in bank for passive income. Always invest in different areas not at one single place

I'd say putting it in a bank is much more secure here is a simple math, investing your $50,000 on a bank that gives you usually 0.09% of interest rate and compounded annually, that will be F=P〖(1+r/n)〗^nt ; F= $50,000(1+0.09/1)^10= $140,633.2391 (correct me if my computations are wrong) but basically that's what you will get after ten years when you save it on a bank, however, investing it on bitcoin is very risky, considering the sudden downfall of the market of the bitcoin it's not advisable to invest it on bitcoin as of now.

To make it simple, split it and don't stay in just one investment.
Aside from buying bitcoin, if I have a huge amount of money lime that, I would probably buy not only a house but I will build my own business as well. To ensure that aside from my investment I will have a passive income. The rest will be put to a different banks to assure that my assets will be in a good hands.

obviously put it in bitcoin and the money of $ 50k I will buy 5 BTC from the current price, the rest I will use for business purposes I get daily income so I don't have to sell bitcoin to meet my needs every day, waiting for at least 5 years I think it's it is quite very profitable

Timing is all you need this time, according to the flow of the price in the market. When the price is at its lowest, I will go buy Bitcoin with that $50k. then I will wait for about a +50% increase to sell it. I won't be greedy for it, I will just get a decent amount of earnings from buying some Bitcoins.

In my own opinion, if i receive a $50k fiat, i would rather put it on bitcoin than a bank because bitcoin is more profitable that i could double or triple my money if i will only just wait for 10 years. I will not really earn good money in banks because banks only gives 3% annual interest which is not enough for me to earn huge profit.

Bitcoin for sure no more question on why people like me will chose bitcoin over banks. Bank offer such low interest income per year on your money while in bitcoin though it is more risky the assurance of profit will be guaranteed for sure for 10 years thats a long period of time and long year for bitcoin to make more development and increase in price.

I'll put in on bitcoin. It will give more profit after 10years. We can see the improvement of bitcoin after its first decade, so another 10 years might give more profit than we might expected. If it will be stored in a bank, its interest is very low when you compared it to your possible income when we invest money in bitcoin.

If I have $50k fiat then I will surely invest in bitcoin but I will not invest everything in bitcoin alone because bitcoin price is very unpredictable and chances are you will get profits after few years. It’s not that I don’t trust bitcoin but it is more like a long term investment rather than short term and while holding I will use the other portion to some other investment and do some trading.

It's good to split the money and invest in different stuff
Some in BTC
Some in traditional investments of banks
Some to emergency cash if you don't have yet

Never put all money in only one

$50k is quite huge amount and it will be too risky if I will put it in all in Bitcoin hence, I will split it into different kind of investment because I do believe that never put all of your eggs in one basket. Probably I'll place the 30% for investing on Bitcoin, another 30 will be in banks and the rest will be use to have my own business so I can have my passive income.

If it is for the long term? I would put 60% in the bank, 35% in index funds, and 15% in crypto. The 60% mainly because I want to have a buffer for unexpected circumstances.

One of the many mistakes that people do is invest 100% of their funds in one thing and they don't have an emergency fund so when something bad happens to them they will sell their coins to get cash no matter the price. I personally would invest that money in:
1. 40 % invest in bitcoin and some altcoins.
2. 30 % in the stock.
3. 10% for saving them as an emergency fund in fiat, you can store them whether in Bank (saving only, not investment) or at your home, make sure that emergency fund is liquid so when something bad happens to you, you'll get the money asap.
4. 10 % in fiat for a spendable amount, you may store them in your bank or at your home.
5. 10 % for building my own business.

Profit wise, I'd choose Bitcoin although there are no certainties about it. Yes banks can give a sure interest in about 10 years but the amount of interest they gave are very low compare to the gains you can get if you invest it on Bitcoin.

$50k is surely a huge amount, why don't you just diversify it into different investments like crypto, stocks, bonds, real estate, business etc. Don't put 100% into crypto especially if you are not a tech-savvy guy when it comes to crypto. Don't do what other newbie investors out there are doing. They will just throw their money away and if they are at a loss, they will panic and sell and then argue with other people or saying "Bitcoin is a scam" blah blah blah.

I would consider a couple of things

• is it my only money?
• do I still have other assets and not just the 50k?

If I only have that money, I would consider prioritizing stuff that I need funds for, like living expenses, needs, education, etc. But if I have other assets to do, I would take it lightly and decide by researching different possible investments that I could have that would lead to my money grow even more.

Some parts that I should consider is the emergency funds, making sure I have money when the inevitable happens. That's the critical part.

I will use all this money to invest in the cryptocurrency market, but I will not buy all of bitcoin with this money. I will diversify my investment in altcoins and partly for bitcoin. For me $ 50k is not a very large amount so I will not use this money to deposit into the bank. The profit per year at the bank is too small and it does not help me get as much profit as investing in this market

The first problem is that if I'd have 50k I'd start with paying my debts to the banks  ;D ;D ;D
But let's ignore that and focus on your question as what you meant.

My answer will be: neither.
I'd buy a flat and rent it out. That would be a pretty stable income over years no matter what.
If any money remains from that then I'd consider Bitcoin.

Why? Because although Bitcoin should give much bigger overall profit, it doesn't go linear. And if I need money I may have to sell at a loss.

If ever i do have that amount then i would partially put up on btc investment and the rest would be on fiat.We know that nothing is certain when it comes to btc's future.
We know that fiat would be always there but in terms of profit then no doubt that this one would be with btc.Just only invest on the amount that you can afford to lose.
Just dont gamble if you arent prepared to lost some of your 50k investment.

I believe the interest comes from Bank and not earned by holding a fiat currency like you would gain for holding Bitcoin. 

The best way to compare is, lending Bitcoin long-term to a business & getting paid interest vs lending to bank long-term and getting paid interest.  I honestly would choose lending Bitcoin long-term because of its deflationary benefit compare to fiat inflation.

I will divide the investment into 2 parts, $ 30,000 will be used to invest in the cryptocurrency market, the remaining $ 20,000 will be deposited in the bank.
The 30% share in the cryptocurrency market will be broken down and invested in a number of major currencies in the market.

If within the two, I definitely choose bitcoin, it might be risky but there is chance to earn or gain returns due to compound interest afterwards unlike in bank that it will still be the same in the entire lifetime or worst will be lessen due to tax deductions.

I prefer traditional stock market instead

In my management, I prefer the security of assets and as much as possible to make a profit even though a little. so maybe I will put most of the money in bank deposits and get interest. then with the remaining money, maybe I will trade as cryptocurrency. this makes more sense in my.opinion

Investing in this market will definitely be a top choice for me. I will  take all risks to invest in this market, I will buy 70% of the money with bitcoin and the remaining 30% I will use them to buy the top altcoins in this market. As I said I will take the risk to invest and with this decision, if successful, it will make me more profitable.

If want a security in your investment you better go for a bank investment then if you want to risk your investment to stake a good value in the future then go with bitcoin investment. Well I guess in the same period of time you will be having a good return on btc investment rather than putting it on banks.

I think it is much better to put half of it on the bank and half will be on bitcoin. So, anytime I need money, I can take it in the bank and I will be having my savings and my own investment at the same time. That way, I can secure my funds and I will be able to earn a profit from investing in BTC.

Sure, I will use 50% of the money to deposit into the bank, and the remaining 50% I will invest in this market as reasonably as possible. The first principle you can invest is never invest all the money you have in any market. And then, never invest in a portfolio, diversify your investment to limit risk

Fifty grand in a bank is going nowhere but down. That is 100% guaranteed. They've sacrificed savers to keep everyone else afloat.

It's always useful to have cash on hand but the idea of it offering any type of return let alone staying ahead of inflation looks to be officially dead.

I will rather invest all of it in bitcoin rather than putting it in a bank with low interest. I already experience that, i have 1000$ in my bank after 3 months my money became 1001$ . It will take so much time before you can say that banking is worth it.

I'm taking it that someone has handed me $50,000 in cash or bank transfer
or inheritance so here is what I would do.....

1. $25,000 straight into crypto

32 ETH to stake
Balance to Bitcoin

2. Pay off my $10,000 (approximately) loan

3. $15,000

50% stays in the bank account
25% to Cash
25% to Crypto card

investment wise ill go with the bank because im sure that banks can exist a long time but im still not sure about the future of btc despite of its boom  however i dont put all the cash on a bank but i divide it let say ill handle the 10k usd on hand ill put it on my own vault located inside my house while the rest 30k on bank and the rest 10k can go thru bitcoins just incase that i earn some extra profit if ever btc pumps from the next year or two  . i dont worry at all because 10k on btc will only look small compare to my backup funds which was 30k on the bank

Is these just the choices? If so 80% will go to bitcoin, the rest I will keep handy for unexpected expenses.

But if I can allocate them myself, I will allocate as follows:

10,000 -- on hand for expenses
20,000 -- invest in crypto, mainly in bitcoin and some in emerging altcoins
20,000 -- invest in stocks.

I believe that I should not put everything in one place. It is always best to diversify.

I would make not only those options but even more.

For instance i would invest in specific cryptocurrencies as the main ones that are most important to me:
Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, Ripple and some other.

Leaving in the bank just for security measurements would be another option.

The rest i would basically use it for something worth in real life or even helping out someone in needs.

I would say that it is much safer for most people to deposit money into the bank, not because of the unpredictability of Bitcoin in the next 10 years, but because most are not ready to be their own bank. $50k is currently 6.72 BTC, and its nice amount of coins, but it is also a big risk if buyer does not know how to properly secure them.

For me, there is no doubt that most of the money would be invested in BTC, at least 80%. Banks are safe in terms of security, especially if the government guarantees deposits up to a certain amount, but the interest rate (at least in the EU) is quite low. If I had to choose anything other than BTC, then it would be gold.

My personal opinion is that in 10 years 1 BTC can easily be worth at least 10 times more than today (up to $100k), but there is no guarantee that this will happen. Of course, inflation and taxes should be taken into account, but I think the risk is worth it, especially if it is not the money you need for everyday life.

right now that you have discovered BTC, you will probably think storing it in a bank will be a bad idea.  and its true.

i wouldn't be putting it on a bank account if i were you. the government will just keep stealing from those saver like you. if you think for awhile like your $50k can right now buy a car of your dream, 1-2 years from now, you may not be able to do it with same amount.

how much will the bank interest be these days? 0.02%? that's nothing when BTC moons.

I will not invest all my 50,000$ if bitcoin.  
Because even we know that bitcoin will increase price we are not sure that price of this will increase in 10 years.  

For me i will invest only the half in bitcoin and the remaining 25,000 I will put in Bussiness and the profit i will get in bussiness i will put in Bank.

If I choose to invest in 10 years, I will use all this money to invest in the cryptocurrency market. I will buy bitcoins and some of the top altcoins in this market and hold, within 10 years I am sure that this market will bring me a huge profit compared to my depositing them in the bank. Depositing money in a bank is a safe option for us, but it doesn't really bring much money and profits compared to other forms of investment.

The banks do give interests but does it even worth to put this big money in bank for 10 years. If you had only these two options to choose from, I will surely choose to buy bitcoins from them. I may even get the same return within two years with bitcoin investment, which I would get in 10 years if I put this money in bank, so for me its investment in BTC.

Price on which to buy bitcoin is very important. If we have a bull market that is going up or at its highest then its surely not a good idea to buy bitcoin. Bitcoin is only good at decreased prices.
50k $ I will buy bitcoin only if its around 6k$ else bank, stock market , oil trading are good options.

I think both of them are different and have their pros and cons I think the bank is a great wallet that you could put your money since it is safe and you could also earn a small profit through the years.
And then bitcoin if a great investment since you could earn a good amount of profit in just a small-time but the risk is so high compared to banks and also your money could also go down or dump.

No more second thoughts, I will invest it to btc, $50k is a lot of money and it is a good start for investment. It is very risky but as long as I know what investment that I am doing, it will be fine.

Investment in bitcoin will take a lot of time and not small-time, the risk is too high and if we can't take it, then go and store it in banks.

In my view, I will put half in a bank and definitely the rest I will invest in bitcoin. As been said it is better to be wise where to put your money to grow. There is a great opportunity in investing in bitcoin. So I will never invest in full so it is our own decisions on this matter.

I will use $30k fiat to buy bitcoin, save $10k in the bank, and use $10k for my daily needs and build a new business. I am sure that my money will increase in bitcoin investment, in my new business, and my bank account. Although I don't know much about my future, at least, I have an asset that will works for me in the future so I can prepare my future. If I can make a profit in my business and bitcoin, I think I can get a lot of money in the next 10 years so I can use some money to do the other things to get more money.

If you are considering banks, you also need to take into account the tax retention as a done deal (therefore diminishing the interest rate), where as the part in crypto may not be subject to taxation until converted to fiat (this all depends on the country of residence and their taxation laws).

Anyway, in your example, if you are really considering an interest rate of 0,09% anually, then the appled formula should be F=P〖(1+r/n)〗^nt ; F= $50,000(1+0.0009/1)^10= $50,452 (a benefit of only 452$ after 10 years).
(you were considering a 9% anual interest in your formula, which would render a result of $118,368).

$50k  fiat, $30k i will buy house from it. $15000 i will open new business like sell food. And the rest $5000 maybe i will save it as BTC. When price increased, i sell it little by little or maybe when i really need the money. if not then i will keep my BTC for long term investment. Although people will said that BTC will be good in future, in case i have that money i will buy house and rent it (passive income), and sell food (another passive income).

If we save it in the bank $ 50k money would indeed be safer, but the drawback for the interest offered is very low. So in the bank

I considered I chose to halve the money I had. By depositing $ 25k in a bank, then remaining capital I will invest $ 25k in bitcoin.
That way I will maximize profits.

You don't have to lend Bitcoin just hold it.

Both banks and Bitcoin give you some interest but Bitcoin is better in every way because:
-the interest is much higher
-there are crypto dividends to profit from (coins given to bitcoin holders like BCH)
-you are responsible for your money and don't have to depend on the bank
-it's easy to hide your coins from the government and taxes.

Surely both of this investment is great, I think it will be better in to invest it in bitcoin or cryptocurrency since the market was volatile if could easily make a profit in your bitcoin wallet but still like a lot of users here telling you should already know the risk in investing in bitcoin Also as the market or community is getting bigger most of the time the bitcoin market price is pumping. But still, for me, there is always a risk in investment even in starting a business so I would like to take that risk in my opinion. ::)

In banks surely there is less risk in investing since they would just store your money in the bank and maybe could earn a small profit of maybe 2$ per year depending on the bank you invested.

If I were you I think I would not invest this money in passive business since it was already a good amount to start a business like apartments or small business like stores, coffee shops, etc.
There is always a risk in investing your money even in businesses but sometimes you just need to be a risk-taker in order to be successful also passive income is also a great investment since it could give you profit even if you don't do work as an apartment, you could easily earn money monthly with this investment. ;D ;D

That’s warren buffet quote,what is yours? That doesn’t mean you should invest in btc,you can start others online business or you can start others business in offline.Bank interest is very low,and I am not agree to keep money in bank.  

I guarantee you that not one millionaire in the world got that way by putting money into the bank.
The interest a bank can pay you in a year, you could gain in a day with bitcoin.
If you are on the fence, do both, put $25k in each.

With this amount I would like to pick a smart move I would buy at least 4 or 5 Bitcoin and with the remaining amount I would travel to my dream country and that's my strategy to make the correct use of $50k fiat and I am definitely sure and confident that I won't disappointed with my decision.

Still, it could be risky in bitcoin you could also lose your investment if the bitcoin market price was a dump, yes it could easily recover but it was easier said than done most of the time when the market go down a lot of people could easily fall down and lead to panic selling their bitcoin. Just a reminder before investing in bitcoin.

$50k is a lot of money and for me especially, it can change my life for good. If I were to use it wisely, I would use a portion of it in various investments.
I will invest more of it in bitcoin and put the rest in bank for safer side. Both bitcoin and bank has it's own pros and cons over one another.
I personally don't like the concept of banks and hence will invest a major chunk in bitcoin while keeping the rest in stupid bank.

If I have this amount of money, which it's 50k$, I'm sure that I will invest most of it in bitcoin or maybe the whole amount as I know now that bitcoin's price isn't that expensive and we'll obviously see a huge increase of bitcoin's price in the future, so it will be a good opportunity now to invest in bitcoin and just wait till the price will pump again.

@tukagero I’ll invest my entire $50k in bitcoins, because in 10 years bitcoin prices will definitely shoot upwards and I’ll become a millionaire. Though my investment strategy is risky but I feel that banks would give me very low interest rates, and I would not become rich by holding my money in banks hence I would opt for investing in bitcoins.

It is good to think about profits, after all who does not like to see money increases a lot? But we also have to think about security especially if we are talking about long term things like 10 years.

Ask yourself the following:

If you die within those 10 years, who would your money be with and how would these people benefit from your money?

If you think about it, then you will think better about the type of investment you should make. The profits are really good, but there are security issues.

First, this isn't a real survey, it's just a question on a forum, and it has insane bias since we're on a forum for Bitcoin enthusiasts - whatever results you will get from this "survey", they wouldn't be very useful.

For me personally, I'd invest in real estate instead of bank desposits or Bitcoin - I already own Bitcoin, I don't trust banks to hold large sums and I don't believe they would offer good enough returns to justify the risk. Real estate feels less risky and more profitable to me.

I'd put it in a bank because who wouldn't? It's sarcasm if you didn't notice.
Asking this on a Bitcoin forum will only get you one type of answer. If you go to a car enthusiast forum and ask if they'd put money in a bank or buy a car you'd also get similar results. They'd all choose the bank, I'm sure of it. :P

There is no doubt that the best option will be to invest in bitcoin rather than banks. Banks will only offer you small amount of profits after taking such a huge amount of money as investment. However if you decide to invest in BTC  then you need to be careful with the investment plans that you go with. For instance never go in for margin trading, just monitor the market and buy when bitcoin falls sell when you make at a substantial amount of profit.

Good question.We can't know what will happen to bitcoin and banks in 10 years.But my gut tells me that it is better to divide the amount of $ 50,000 in half and invest them respectively in the Bank and buy bitcoin!It is difficult for me to even imagine what will happen to bitcoin in 10 years,but clearly it will not disappear, which can not be said about the Bank.
