Many of the East European countries do have a progressive laws for crypto. Germany is one of the great place for starting a crypto business.
Even US is one of the best place for crypto and crypto based project. People just complain because they wanted a much crypto friendly environment.

This is quite true, the government also not put any restrictions regarding cryptocurrency, they just let the people invest in their own risk as they see no reason to ban crypto. Day by day I got to see news, stores and our country companies that are also accepting crypto or using it as a way to pay their workers.

They didn't missed Singapore, its literally on the list at the top? In any case they basically talked about the safe havens of crypto and not the crypto friendly countries. USA is crypto friendly as well as in they do allow you to deal with crypto and pay taxes for your profits and so forth, they didn't banned bitcoin or any other crypto to begin with. That means they are actually supporting it and they are also 400 million in population as well, Liechtenstein or Malta could be supporting crypto in general but those are "safe haven" places where you build a business at most if you can't in your own nation, same with gambling and other financial stuff. I personally think USA should be at the top with Japan since these are the two big nations that are actually worth the value their crypto-friendlies carries all over the world.

Indeed, many countries that are friendly with cyptocurrency as you mentioned in the article are indeed true and have been written in several other articles.
As in the Philippines, Vietnam and Indonesia have quite friendly to crypto even though it has not been fully adopted by the government so it is likely that there will be many countries that are friendly to crypto so that the development will be more increased in the economy.

Of course Japan is the first in terms of being friendly to crypto, Japan has always been famous for the sophistication of the technology they created. in that country always appreciate anything related to technology and yeah, of course rumors that bitcoin is also made in Japan. I hope that in the future some countries will begin to realize and be friendly towards crypto, especially those that are advanced in the economy, like the countries you mentioned.

Always good to know that there are many countries which are adopting cryptocurrencies this is positive sign in many ways and here I would appreciate the Japanese government they're adopting cryptocurrency after understanding its value and potentials and somewhere it will be very effective way to improve the growth of economy.

I do not understand the concept of "cryptocurrency-friendly country." Does this mean that for using cryptocurrency you will not be sent to prison, as in India? if so, then a huge number of countries can be called friendly, but for me the most important thing is that cryptocurrency must be legal from the government side. as far as I know, there are no such countries yet.

As far as I know, no country currently recognizes cryptocurrencies as a currency, most of them consider bitcoin as an asset.
Most countries in the world allow trading of cryptocurrencies, but you will break the law if you use it for payment.
If countries that allow cryptocurrency trading are considered crypto-friendly countries, I think the list will be very long.

some countries in the world are now starting to accept crypto as an investment asset for their citizens, but of course, there are regulations that specifically regulate the use of cryptocurrency which is only limited to investment assets and is not allowed as a means of payment, for example, Indonesia now has many people starting to choose bitcoin and other altcoins as investment assets, and in Indonesia specifically invites the public to invest crypto provided that they not be used as a means of payment.

Its funny as it wont matter THAT much in the future. Countries like USA, and China is probably the strictest countries in regards to crypto.

If decentralized exchanges truly become the next big thing, there is NOTHING stopping anyone from trading through peer 2 peer transactions. Nobody will know your trading history. You can't be audited, everyone will be set free from all the control and monopoly from these governments.
I've got my eyes on Blocknet, since they are first movers in this field, it's actually a 4th gen DEX. Which you can read more about here btw: https://blockdx.com/

The future is bright, patience  :D

Great article, I agree with your chosen countries. Not like others who are telling false informations about China that is crypto-friendly. Common people divide blockchain technology and cryptocurrency. And China is blockchain friendly, not crypto friendly.  ::)

Good article. While reading your article, I just learned that Liechtenstein is a crypto-friendly country. Maybe now there are more and more crypto-friendly countries.

With all these countries, I am more pleased with Singapore because the country treats cryptocurrencies like money in the country.

I feel that the articles on https://www.publish0x.com/crypto-101/worlds-most-crypto-friendly-countries-xmxrvw?a=GELe3POa69 can be recognized as true writing. although some of the countries listed for me are still rarely heard compared to China, Japan, Singapore, of course.
but of course every country will be different regulations, the same as in my country does not recognize to be used as a legitimate medium of exchange, but does not forbid being able to exchange into fiat.

Some sources say Brazil is also crypto friendly but I need affirmation from some crypto enthusiasts from Brazil anyway. I hope more countries especially world powers will become crypto friendly someday.

in my opinion the United States is also a country that is friendly to bitcoin. 6.2% of the population has used bitcoin and many large American companies are willing to accept bitcoin as a means of payment such as Microsoft, Starbucks and Subway Subway. and Canada also includes countries that are friendly with bitcoin as cities in Canada have accepted bitcoin as a means of payment.

I often see emails related to crypto, usually written underneath cayman island, estonia, and singapore.
Maybe it's one place that allows a crypto company to be built.
I think that in the future there will be many countries which will make it easier to create crypto companies in their country. Because in addition to that, there must be many people who already understand crypto, but there is no related company that stands in their country.

Japan would top this list, They have already adopted crypto for most of the things and its the best thing if you are a visitor. Malta is also leading in the technology with all the conventions and bringing in projects from many other countries. If only other countries understand the advantages of blockchain then we may see good implementation of crypto worldwide.

yes philippines accept cryptocurrency like bangko central permit this but you need to accept that this is very risky to use too so risk at your own risk is my point so i think if some country don't acknowledge and authorize this then i think in future they will going to accept this because we only need knowledge about this then no risk at all for me if you can afford
philippines to include cryptocurrency subject matter in their formal school subjects. it seems they do not want to be left behind to welcome the digital era, on the one hand this program can provide prosperity to its people if crypto prices will soar, with the limited number of countries that legalize them giving many opportunities to prosper

My country is missing from the list, but over here there is no barrier to cryptocurrency, no taxes imposed and there are many outlets where people can spend their cryptocurrencies, though there is no btc ATM here as of yet, but I know one will be set up very soon. The number of citizens using cryptocurrency in my country is steadily rising, there are so many other alternatives, but the use of crypto is one people over here are very interested in.

Even those countries who do not have interest in cryptocurrencies are also utilizing the blockchain technology, and that's interesting for the bitcoin network, indirectly though, but is still a part of it.

There are many more countries coming into the fold as they are beginning to realise that cryptocurrency industry is technologically driven and would have several futuristic benefits to the country and world at large.

Although it's becoming crypto friendly because BSP registered more crypto exchanges and Security and Exchange Commission is finalizing crypto guidelines. For me, still not, because some banks like BDO still not familiar in crypto or they are not comfortable if your funds came from crypto. Still a long way before you can add or cashout without thinking of possibilities that you will be ask about crypto and feel uncomfortably. Some are just forcing theirselves to become dishonest on where the funds came from so they can avoid such possible scenarios. I guessed, you've heard the one in our country where in he is ask to pull out all of his money in the bank because the funds came from crypto.

For now, it seems like that Panama and Malta are two of the biggest destinations for offshore companies to incorporate in. Panama being the country of choice for derivative exchanges such as Deribit, which will be moving there very soon next month, and Malta for a lot of spot exchanges such as Binance.

I do think that there is a benefit to having positive regulation towards bitcoin and crypto overall, rather than trying to drive it out of the economy.

It makes no sense to do the latter because you're literally just forgoing government revenue in the regulated space and there is no enforceability to any restrictions, since crypto is vastly decentralized.

That particularly happens on counties with specific limitations on cryptocurrency, and that situation that pertains to pull out of funds, there's a probability that the funds was having been insufficient information to prove its legitimacy. KYC on most bank is pushed through even with money transfers both local and international, because it is need in order to control people from money laundering. This is the only ways to prevent illegal money coming in and out in the country. Huge amount of transfer was also scrutinized and questioned before it goes to hand of the receiver.

Residing in the Philippines does really great for a cryptocurrency enthusiasts, but I can say, bitcoin and cryptocurrency is allowed and is tolerable by government but the fact that its image formed isn't really well since right before, people think about it as investment rather than a daily transaction medium such as a currency. Many falls to scam and pyramids, that is why if we ask an older person what is their thought about bitcoin, they mostly don't like it knowing that computer literacy rate of old people in the Philippines isn't promising plus, the impact of their first impression when they hear what bitcoin is.

I can say, if we try to convince or attract people with bitcoin, we should mainly consider talking to milennials.

The writer made a good impression by making Japan the first on the list. I'm impressed by that decision and that's a commendable way to start. It may be interesting to know that Japan is making moves on launching her own national digital currency. This shows that the country is indeed a step ahead in its support for modernisation and digitalisation of currencies.

That's right, Philippines has been very really positive in terms of crypto industry, that's why we are really thankful for having a crypto friendly country, as we are open here in this kind of industry, the worst part is just that, some people here are taking for granted wherein they are taking it for granted and making crypto scam.

It is noted that most countries now are beginning to adopt cryptocurrency and blockchain. What I do noticed too is that US keep dissecting some projects outside their territory. Is it legal on your point of view? Some countries also like China seems to be hypocrite, as they criticize hard and ban cryptocurrency activity but later on they persuade their countrymen to explore blockchain and see a potential for growth.

It's the reason why people never change their perspective regarding cryptocurrency, they are still looking on it's negative side because of those people who take advantage of that opportunity to deceive others and the one who ruins the reputation of cryptocurrency. No wonder why many of them are still in doubt, they are afraid to be victimized by those kind of people. I can't blame them but still they should also see the positive side of cryptocurrency, they don't need to judge it based on what they heard or have seen about it. Well it's great to see that the adoption of cryptocurrency in the Philippines is improving despite of that kind of incident, I just hope that those deceiver will realize how they made a huge negative impact on other people's way of thinking.

I think The Netherlands is missing out on that list, because there are many shops online and retail that are already accepting multiple cryptocurrency's
And we have a lot of the Bitcoin Atm's In the Netherands.
Also we have really good ways of buying Bitcoin and other Crypto's like ethereum or more with our own Online banking system Ideal, Those cryptotraders are already operation for a very long time and are registered with the Chamber of Commerce.

You can easily buy and sell your crypto there and they dont charge insane fees!

Here is the link I found in the Philippines local forum https://www.manilatimes.net/2020/01/21/business/business-top/sec-readies-rules-for-cryptocurrencies/676170/?fbclid=IwAR0u3YB91gPFFhZ41nYvW2a6KZotHv1_Y3mqYuWgoAgbyDzjVnEyCGSr_K8

It usually is a positive sign when SEC sets rules for crypto but its also not good for someone who had a lot of crypto. I am from Philippines and coins.ph is just one good source of information for SEC to scrutinize. Philippines could be a crypto-friendly country but there might not be an escape for rich traders to pay huge taxes.

Good to know that there are countries that are crypto-friendly, so i assume that most people in their country are using and buying cryptocurrency for their daily lives. It could also have a huge impact in the crypto market because other countries would copy them, so more people will buy or invest their funds in crypto.

Malaysia could be called crypto friendly but most of the project I've seen that could somehow "succeed" usually originates from singapore. Though, it's undeniable fact that a developing country more specifically malaysia which about to be categorized among high income country have much more opportunities than a country with developed economy. in term of friendliness, I'd call both of them equal.

I'm not surprised if my country is not on the list of the crypto friendly countries because some people think cryptos are scam. Only few people knows about cryptos. Japan is really crypto friendly because the government are very supportive of cryptos especially bitcoin.

government support is indeed very important. and Japan has shown they support a renewal of the currency in the future. other countries should also prepare themselves for this if they want to continue to develop with the times.

Asia is the most regulated and controlled environment for cryptocurrency, however, the population is a good target for the technology. There have been a lot of renewed adoption process starting from crypto to fiat project. As the most important position of adoption seeing WAzir project from India gladdens my heart. I believe if the highest of the population from the region change their position it will be easy for others to follow suit. Imagine the fund and population from China, India, Philippines, Pakistan and Indonesia in crypto

That is your job to convince the people in your country to trust bitcoin is not scam. At least you have to convince the people who close to you, such as your friend, your neighbor or even your wife/family.

Other that that, if you see on google search and you write what bitcoin is then the result will not about the negative thing anymore. Many people there have been writing an useful article how useful bitcoin for.

So, you will be easy to explain about bitcoin. Just give a fact about bitcoin in your experience. Because bitcoin is not about money only, you can make it as your side income and you can give then a proof then I'm sure they will believe it. it's just that you have to be patient to make them understand.

In my own opinion, even there are already positive articles about bitcoin, not everyone can be convince and persuade by these articles because some people will always depends on the opinions of other people that they assumed that all of those articles are just for endorsement. That is why it will be better if we just show to other people that we wanted to convince about bitcoin is by showing the real benefits and purpose of having bitcoin and other cryptocurrency.

There would be no doubt in calling both the countries as crypro-friendly. Even I went through a number or projects who were originated from Singapore and yes, maximum of those projects succeeds and that's what keeps me loving Singapore.

Singapore is even a technology driven country which allows most of their citizens to circulate the digital assets like bitcoins and even they do support a number of startups which we commonly call ICO or IEO and these projects land up in success only because of the huge support from their country. Once, any nations starts regulating the cryptocurrencies, they also start literating their citizens about the same which would indeed create a awareness among the people.

Before opening the article, I had few names in my mind and I am grateful to see those countries in the article. Japan is the first you mentioned on your article and it is actually appropriate because japan really keeps showing us immense growth and movement towards the decentralized investment assets like bitcoins or any other cryptocurrency.

Apart from that, there were rumors that Japan is planning to launch its own coin in few coming months after china decided to launch their own coin. I am actually jaded not to see china on the list? Why did you skip China? I think, also china might be among the countries who are showing us immense growth towards the crypto currencies.

The most important things are: relatively free regulations and low taxes. Thats why Switzerland or Malta is home to the most blockchain companies. While most of EU countries have high taxes and that could be a problem in the future because they loose an opportunity to become blockchain superpower.

I have also read several articles that in Japan and China they have a very large mining company so that there can be said to be the center of cryptocurrency and in my opinion it has become a normal thing because in Japan really appreciate various technologies such as blockchian and bitcoin today.

Well, that is a better way for referral links rather than just busting in and posting links for earning more BAT.
At least do some good thing right?

Japan is where I really want to live.
I think most crypto enthusiast will agree with me on that. It like heaven for those who really supports an active payment using crypto specially bitcoin.
But that is difficult since they are strict with their rules.

If only merchants have a better understanding about crypto then the government might really think about accepting it.

Agree, China, however had been hostile to crypto space way back then, but still it played a big part in crypto space. Better to include China here though. On the other hand, Japan is indeniably, the top among them all. Japan been recognized to be a bg fan of technologies, and run among the top advance countries. And I think, if there were some improvement, innovations or some great inventions like crypto and blockchain, Japan would always in the list.

For those more interested in the academic side of this debate, I recently found a paper that takes into account quantifiable measures to build a framework under which countries can be evaluated. Look for "Blockchain Readiness Index". Such work is much needed, as we also need non-biased approaches to evaluate such matter.

Even there are already a lot of countries that are crypto-friendly, i assumed that not all of them uses and earn money from crypto because there are still people in those countries who thinks that bitcoin and cryptocurrency is a scam or fraud, that is why we still need to comvince them from using bitcoin.
Honeslty, here in my country which is the Philippines, we are very freely to use and earn from bitcoin and cryptocurrency that we also have our own crypto wallet that we can able to pay bills and buy prepaid loads from it, but just like what i have said not all of us here in the Philippines like using crypto.

I don't know if crypto-friendly countries really exist: all countries want money.
Now maybe they tell you that it's not true, to encourage you to put your piggy bank there, but at any time the laws can change. The best thing is to leave the cryptocurrencies in crypto and occasionally change what you need.

Asia may now be a part of the world that strongly supports crypto. hopefully, this will be better in the future where crypto users will become more numerous and of course, the support of the legality of using crypto from a country will be very important for the growth of the crypto market in the future.
I wonder how if all countries in the world have their cryptocurrency and wouldn't that be able to reduce spending on printing a country's fiat money?

I agree with you. Most Asian countries tend to use crypto more and they license business for a lot of big projects so this is a very good place. In addition, a number of major countries have legalized this market and made many investors feel more comfortable investing.

For me, top 3 Asian countries like Japan, Korea, and China have a great influence on this market because it is home to many investors around the world.

A few years ago I often seeing some crypto Vlogs featuring japan and I am amazed even in their convenience store are accepting bitcoin I guess they are one of the crypto-friendly countries. Recently India unban crypto on their country for sure it will create adoption on their country it will open new investors and enthusiast I guess in the coming months crypto there will be more popular. Following India also South Korea made the same move. And also one of the biggest banks in turkey partnered with Binance.

Also bonus tip, the blogging platform the article is written on is a great way to earn crypto for free. You can earn crypto for voting on articles and also for creating content. You can earn more BAT than from the brave browser. You can sign up through the link in this thread.

Yeah, after Bitcoin revealed Japan was very friendly with cryptocurrency. 2018 Central of India banned cryptocurrency, this month they lifted this banned from cryptocurrency. Binance did another good work in South Africa, from bank you can directly change your fiat money to cryptocurrency

As I know among the most crypto friendly countries belong Switzerland, North Korea, Japan, Luxembourg, Malta. In most of these countries there are also low fees so crypto companies especially exhcanges are moving here to reduce the costs.  :)
Currently, I think Malta is the most user friendly country because it always has incentive policies for projects that are based here. In addition, they encourage their citizens to participate because this is a safe way to keep property. I have been to this country in the past and people here talk about crypto a lot and make me want to live here. Of course, this is just my opinion and there are many countries that you do not know.

India is looking promising, with a large tech-savvy population, the supreme court recently regulating crypto and the number of new crypto startups emerging.
As I know, India has banned cryptocurrencies for a very long time, but recently they have lifted the ban. That's great news for this entire market because in India there are so many people who love using cryptocurrency. But they are still not cryptocurrency-friendly, they will need more time to prove it

Still, India is not being a crypto-friendly country which they RBI is not fully supporting the cryptocurrency but after the supreme court verdict again companies are accepting payment but still the government not supporting the cryptocurrency. Yes, India needs more time to make their country as crypto-friendly.

Yes, of course it is a very good thing, but if the number of new crypto startups that arises is not from a good company or a crypto project that does not yet have a real product, it will be very risky for the Indian community to follow, but if the government can regulate and supervise it is clearly very good to follow, because the potential for the birth of the scammers in crypto is also very much and very easy.

There are lots of threads like this one. Your mentioned articles have less country names. USA, Australia, Brazil, Japan , Canada should be added to the article. Among the countries who are showing us immense growth towards the crypto currencies. Anyway, thanks for your thread.

Maybe add Philippines because here in my country many people start to gaining knowledge about cryptocurrency especially in bitcoin,  and also many crypto currency exchange are developing here in my country.

And aside from that we have Bitcoin Atm,  and also some stores here already accepting bitcoin as a alternative payment.

well good adoption of crypts, where in my country there are still no ATMs, and payment using crypto is still prohibited, but can be traded, I also hope that one day my country will be able to accept crypto like the Philippines, and other countries that still ban bitcoin too quickly adopt it.

Slowly but surely each and every country will become crypto friendly it is just a matter of time and the realization from the governments around the world that this is the future tech and the future of money and payments, once they realize it we are going to be quickly into crypto adoption phase.

countries written in the article make sense, Japan is a country with openness to technology and rumors that bitcoin was also created in this country, others such as Singapore, Switzerland, Malta, also countries open to crypto and they are also among the advanced countries in terms of the economy.

Yes, Japan is one of the countries that openly accept technology. Even Bitcoin developers use names like the Japanese Satoshi Nakamoto.
So this country definitely accepts it.
and other industrialized countries will also be happy to accept it.

Yes, and if the things you say can be realized slowly, then those who have long known about crypto will more easily benefit in the future, and I also hope that what you say can also be realized in my country.

It seems that Asia loves cryptocurrency. There are many countries in Asia that support cryptocurrencies such as Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Japan, South Korea ... Even the country that regularly banned crypto in 2017 2018 is China, now they also support crypto. and prepare to launch central bank cryptocurrency

The support for crypto should mean that they support bitcoin and nothing else, every country that bans the use of crypto will come up with their centralized crypto and that does not mean anything and that does not even mean they support the market, China is under a dictatorship and since they are coming up with their centralized coin i do not think they will accept bitcoin nor any other coin.

The court has no authority to formulate any law, they just uphold the law, check what you are telling  :P.

but if the number of new crypto startups that arises is not from a good company or a crypto project that does not yet have a real product, it will be very risky for the Indian community to follow
This is a situation with all the token projects which promises big things, there is nothing concrete and all they do is promises about big things and everything is a big experiment and for that they will collect millions of dollars and with the current rules in India i do not think anyone could start an ICO project and collect funds.

but if the government can regulate and supervise it is clearly very good to follow, because the potential for the birth of the scammers in crypto is also very much and very easy.
It will take a long time to regulate the market and with the pandemic crisis they wont consider this as a priority for sometime, you can expect regulating the market but how can you expect them to supervise :P.

Definitely because they approve based on priority, that's how the government work.
As of now, I think it's quite nice for the market to be non regulated yet because this gives you an opportunity to invest, once it's regulated, I think it would be stable which will become boring for day traders and investors, let's admit it, we are hoping we will get good profit investing in crypto.
